deleted user page

Why was my private work page User:Toploftical/Workpage 7 deleted? It is not an article.. I use this page for draft articles and blank it in between uses. It is a sandbox type of page, used for my private work only. Please replace it. -- Toploftical (talk) 16:45, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

I see that you have restored the page. Thank you. I have used User draft pages for a long time and never ran into this problem before. Does this mean that ALL of my USER pages are in danger of speedy deletion unless I put the Userspacedraft flag on them? Is this some new WP policy? In any case, this kind of deletion is very very unhelpful. I think the policy should be to never touch pages that begin User:so and so/. Why are other editors (or bots) even looking at such pages!? What happened to a modicum of privacy? You may respond here or on my talk page.

In case it needs to be said, I have no objection to editors flagging or deleting pages when a USER has abused the privilege of creating private work pages. But I have certainly not done that.--Toploftical (talk) 17:47, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Stop fussing. As you say, you have never had this problem before, It was a case of Cyrus noto3at bulaga (talk · contribs) being a bit too keen. But in any case, if all the contents was drafts that you no longer need, why the fuss? What was to prevent you recreating the page next time you needed it? But it might be a good idea to replace a draft page with {{userspacedraft}} rather than completely blanking it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:45, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

If everybody minded their own business, the world would go round a deal faster than it does.

–The Duchess in Alice in Wonderland

I was "fussing" because I was worried about the following: If a random editor can delete my private user page for being blank, he might delete such a page for being disorganized or lacking citations. Why are you and other users looking at my private pages in any case? I find this totally inappropriate. It is also occasionally the case that the previous version of a private work page might contain text that I later need to recover. Would you walk into somebody's private office and throw away all the scratch paper lying on their desk? (Should the janitor remove all the blackboards from my office just because I cleaned them?) If this is standard WP policy, I strongly object to it. BTW, I never got an answer from you or Cyrus noto3at bulaga (talk · contribs) as to whether or not "ALL of my PRIVATE USER pages are in danger of speedy deletion". -- Toploftical (talk) 18:38, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Toploftical, now hear this and hear it good: user pages are emphatically not private. Everybody can see them. Anybody can edit them. Why are "quality controllers" looking at user pages? Take a look at the deletion log at any time and you will see how many inappropriate user pages are being deleted hour after hour. "Disorganized or lacking citations" - the whole point of user space is that stuff is allowed to be disorganized or lacking citations. No quality controllers would think of nominating a user space draft for these reasons. We did not reply to your question "whether or not all …" because it was so ridiculous. I have already given you the only advice you need: replace a draft page with {{userspacedraft}} rather than completely blanking it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:01, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

The Godfather Part IV

What's the harm in having The Godfather Part IV as a redirect to The Godfather (film_series)#Fourth installment? Obviously there shouldn't be an article, but a redirect seems sensible to me, as the info is on the Wiki. -- Forty.4 (talk) 18:45, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Creating redirects on every possible title variant is usually a pretty pointless activity. But since the clutch you created have survived three days, I see no harm in adding the most plausible one. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:01, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth, I am surprised to see my article was deleted and removed on December 14, 2016. Can you please restore the draft so I can edit and re-submit it for approval. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Malrose68 (talkcontribs)

  • Where on earth does your reference to 2016 Dec 14 come from. Your version time stamped 2016-04-11 07:34:05 was deleted for the simple reason that it was empty. Your version of 2014 was deleted because of a total lack of evidence. Restored to user:Malrose68/sandbox. Please note: on Wikipedia we do not say pbuh every time we mention the prophet's name and the Qur’an is no more holy than the Bible, Talmud, Torah, etc. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:01, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Category for calthemite?

Hi R Haworth, I am trying to understand how Wikipedia works and am puzzled why you have deleted the request to create a category for calthemites when they are not speleothems.? The link to your deletion is Category talk:Calthemites. I haven't had any feedback regarding reasoning for the deletion, and it would really help me learn from your decision. Instead of just dismissing this with a deletion, would it better to change the category of speleothems to "Speleothems and Calthemites" to at least allow "concrete degradation" to be included as a searchable item linked in the subgroups. Much appreciate your thoughts and possible solution. Regards, Newcaves (talk) 09:34, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

Multiple single line bios by user:Adem20

Hi I noted that you just deleted Fürüzan İkincioğulları as an A7, it is just one of the dozens of pages created by the above user they are almost always single line bios that do not state why the person is notable. I have warned him twice on his talk page that his pages are not in line with WP:MOSBIO but he hasn't replied yet. Is it worth going to the ANI? Is there anything that can be done? Thanks -- Domdeparis (talk) 15:31, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

  • A few minutes ago I placed a message on his talk page. If he goes on creating them, I am willing to apply a day or two's block to show we mean business. Let me know. By all means try ANI. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:43, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

I just pinged you as he has added 7 more pages since your message all poor quality. — Domdeparis (talk) 16:28, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Blocked and unblocked. But needs to be watched. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:57, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi since you unblocked him he has created 14 new pages some with literally dozens of redlinks notably Ahmet Üstel. He seems to be on a mission to add as many pages concerning Turkish politicians and actors. he has not touched the dozens of 1 line bios. --Domdeparis (talk) 13:49, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

  • "I created wikipedia" - what an arrogant and incorrect statement. USPSTF

Suggestion on documenting the USPSTF's findings? Hello Mr. Haworth, and Happy New Year. I've explained a dilemma on the USPSTF's Talk Page, "Documenting USPSTF findings." I have a feeling you might know the straight-forward answer. If there is one. (?) PS - is there a "policy" area where I might post such a question, in the future? I looked over the Village Pump policy page, but ... it seems silly for me to post a question like this, there, methinks. Thank you in advance for any input. Justapersona talk 16:42, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

  • I am sorry but I have an underwhelming enthusiasm for this matter. It is not even clear to me what you are asking. See if anybody takes any interest on the article talk page. But what would be silly about posting it at the Village Pump? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:57, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Photomontage

Dear Mr. Hawoth, You deleted my page due to a copyright infringement. This page is a version of the biography I wrote about my grandfather, the artist John Heartfield. It cannot be a copyright infringement since I wrote the article on which this version is based. I also hold the worldwide copyrights for my grandfather's artwork and ephemera. I am attempting to begin a Wikipedia page that has the title shouted. I want to add a page to Wikipedia regarding political photomontage and political photomontage artist. I though this would be a good way to begin. Could you please undeleted my article or suggest how I can begin the page I have just described. Thank you. Cheers, John J Heartfield — Preceding unsigned comment added by HeartfieldGrandson (talkcontribs) 20:02, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Please read this and this - you want a Wikipedia article but you want to do it with a minimum of effort - it don't work. It matters not that you wrote the page you copied - on the web it says "all rights reserved" so it gets deleted from here. But don't bother with WP:OTRS or anything - it was written in an hopelessly unencyclopedic style. I am feeling kind. Your COI is not serious. So: spend a day simply studying existing stuff on Wikipedia: learn wiki markup; look at article style; find out how many pages shout their titles. Then, via AfC create a draft called "political photomontage art" starting from scratch with proper encyclopedic wording and references. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:57, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your advice. I will follow your suggestions. I realize I have much to learn about Wikipedia. One thing stands out. The highly influential German Dada and Political Artist John Heartfield is consistently and absurdly minimized in pages regarding Dada, Typography, Political Art, George Grosz, and so many, many others. I must say find it curious that you called the style of the page you deleted "hopelessly unencyclopedic." I wrote this biography after receiving a request for it from "The Encyclopedia of German-American Relations (Pub: ABC-Clio)." (http://www.hsozkult.de/event/id/termine-1841). I did make some small additions for the web, but the style of the piece was consistent as published. It was professionally edited by an ABC-Clio encyclopedia editor and subsequently published in the "The Encyclopedia of German-American Relations." — Preceding unsigned comment added by HeartfieldGrandson (talkcontribs) 21:05, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

  • OK, I see that some of the worst peacock phrases in your web page have been removed from the Wikipedia page: "stunning political art became famous"; "brilliant indictment of Hitler". But you still left a "critically acclaimed" in place. So perhaps it will be sufficient if you replace the copyright notice at the bottom of this page with a standard {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} licence as at the bottom of every page here. But you still need to do work - you insulted Wikipedia by submitting an article devoid of references. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:04, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

Kancho A. K. Ismail - Speedy Deletion

Hi, this is in reference to the speedy deletion of Kancho A. K. Ismail, He was trained by Oyama and even called His Son By the Late Oyama. There is video footage as well as many letters between Oyama & Ismail. Oyama had named Kancho A.K.Ismail the Father Of Kyokushin In Africa. Is there anyway to get the article restored and how may I submit the proof I have so it may be reconsidered. I apologize in advance if the link is incorrect but if it helps the Wiki User that promted the speedy delete was 'Chrissymad'. Let me know if there is anything else you require. Abdul Kadar Khatri

Hi, RHaworth! You deleted the article Abdul Kadar Khatri for A7, and now it is protected by admins, that article is important and related to Bagh Prints. Abdul Kadar Khatri is the eldest son of Ismail Sulemanji Khatri (founder of Bagh Prints). You can see on this page that the article for Abdul Kadar Khatri is missing. Since he is also an Indian craftsman, he is important here. I kindly request you to allow the creation of that article. Thanks! — Matin78692 (talk) 12:40, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

  • I believed my friend to do that, but he didn't, and I didn't know. I will do it myself this time. Thank you! — Matin78692 (talk) 05:41, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

Nigeria top fifty

Dear RHaworth, I was refered to you by Yintan on my deleted article on top 50 brands nigeria and i like to possibly edit it for suitability. However, am a bit new on wikipedia, i belief that wikipedia is for information reservoir on something that is public and is true. i have known about the top 50 for about 4 years now and they have materials published on major platforms and even a video reference on CNBC Africa Channels Tv, BEn Tv, TVC AIT and others. one of their items was referenced in a Harvard school review, their publication on Academia.com had viewership and downloads from over 100 countries around the word. they have been news item in all Nigerian dailies. news about them had even been released in places like South Africa sometime late last year. I will really appreciate if the draft can be sent back to me and your advice on improving it for suitability for wikipedia. — Phemmylola2 (talk) 08:59, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello. I will like to appeal for my article to be restored so i can work on it. Also what else can i do to prevent my article from being deleted again as i am a new user and i followed the Wikipedia rules to the best of my knowledge. — The happygirlie (talk) 07:22, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

  • You almost certainly have a COI but I am feeling soft hearted and neither of the speedy deletion reasons given seemed to apply very strongly so I have restored it to Draft:Sola Oyebade. I hope that SwisterTwister will allow it to run the full course for draft submissions. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:57, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I thought the A criteria only applied to pages in the article space? — Adam9007 (talk) 13:37, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

  • A few more words might help. I saw "A criteria" and thought - what on earth are they? I restored it and then changed my mind but gave a different reason for the re-deletion. The IP address that applied the db-person tag is an address which has done 16 or so edits to the article and behind it is probably the person who has done all the edits. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:57, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

The "A" criteria: A1, A3, A7 etc. I thought they only applied to articles, hence the suffix? — Adam9007 (talk) 04:51, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Recover Deleted Article Content

Hi Roger, I've been trying over the last several months to publish an article for the software company I work for. Despite adding new independent references, tidying up the article and trying to maintain as unbiased as possible, you seem to have deleted the article altogether which I had spent many hours on and for which I have no backup. Page was here: Draft:Doc.It. If you could please share the content with me I would appreciate it a lot, since it is completely lost at this point. If you could also let me know what specifically my page is lacking in order to be published, it would help me out greatly. The intent of the page is not to be an advertisement, but to be informational for those who are researching our company and what we do. Furthermore, I am at a loss as to why my article has been repeatedly rejected. I have looked at other software company Wikipedia pages from my industry and nothing stands out about why my article would not be published but theirs are... I have added more references, more third party references, more content, but it hasn't been good enough. OK, I thought I had read that if I disclosed this as a user and kept the information unbiased and founded on 3rd party references that the community would find it acceptable. I understand why it's a problem, however, given that previous draft reviewers had not raised this as an issue, I was hoping you could kindly excuse my ignorance and please email the draft so that I can explain to my boss why it was rejected and prove that I was in fact working on it. Thanks. — Cdowns13 (talk) 22:17, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

This one, to be specific. There was a consensus on not leaving any such messages to this long-term abuser, as we felt that it would give him the attention he craves; RBI is the best way to go without the need for warnings, so to speak. Blake Gripling (talk) 23:46, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

  • The page had a {{db-repost}} tag which was patent nonsense. If I had seen {{db-g5}} - "created by a banned or blocked user …" - I might have acted differently. If you re-instate a sensible speedy tag, I shall take no action. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:02, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi, you deleted the above file because another editor requested CSD claiming that it did not have credible claim of fair use or permission. But if you check it did have the correct fair use claim - it was uploaded as WP:NFCI#10 (pictures of deceased persons, in articles about that person, provided that ever obtaining a free close substitute is not reasonably likely). I provided the correct licence and source. Please check and undelete. Thanks. -- obi2canibetalk contr 20:50, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

NFCI #10 also states that "that in the case the image is from a press agency or photo agency and is not itself the subject of critical commentary it is assumed automatically to fail 'respect for commercial opportunity'." In this case the image is taken from Sunday Times newspaper (see [1]) without their express authorization or permission, which I would assume would be a breach of the newspaper's copyright. Text of deleted article

Dear RHaworth, About 9 years ago I created a new article about Laurence Clancy, author of the text book Aerodynamics, (Pitman Publishing). This book is cited as a source in many articles about aerodynamics; for example Kutta condition. Unfortunately, the article was deleted after a short debate. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Laurence Clancy. Another User has recently created a new article about the same author - see Laurence Joseph Clancy. I would like to expand the new article where possible to safeguard against deletion. I would appreciate it if you could send me the text of my 2008 article. Sending it to my email address will be entirely satisfactory. Thanks for your assistance. Dolphin (t) 02:35, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Draft:Manufacturing Technology, Inc. (MTI)

I see that you deleted an article on January 5, 2017. I have been working on this article for more than a year. It states ambiguous advertising or promotion. I am simply trying to create a biography article on Manufacturing Technology Inc. I have posted in my profile that I work for an agency who sometimes has clients such as MTI for which I write. This article is not about promotion or advertising. It's about talking about the company. Who they are. Where they are locate and what they have done. It is a challenge to find sources that editors have deemed notable enough without wandering near what you would consider promotion. However, if you look at other like companies such as KUKA you will see that the MTI page was being created in the same way. Please restore the article so that we can continue to edit and correct what needs to be. Thank you. 9:39, 5 January 2017 RHaworth (talk | contribs) deleted page Draft:Manufacturing Technology, Inc. I was just trying to introduce it to make the basis in which the Monocoupe Aeroplane Corporation was founded on. WORM INC is the predecessor to the M.A.C.'s reincarnation, if you understand. I was trying to talk about the history behind why the Monocoupes were being reintroduced. If you were to have been so kind as to looked at the websites listed, you would have found that what I posted was true. If you would be so kind to reinstate the page, I would be most appreciative. Also, I would appreciate it if you did not delete my personal user page. Thank you. Joespeed1952 (talk) 00:05, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Stay well clear of writing about the company you work for and you should have no problems here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:15, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

Please undelete

Please undo the deletion of catananche lutea. There was nothing wrong with the article itself, and it fully qualifies for notability and inclusion. -- Kevmin § 19:53, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

I did NOT apply for any deletion of that page, if you look at the page history, there were several contributors to the page, (failing it for g7 deletion). Why do you think I applied for it?--Kevmin § 20:39, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Oops! Sorry! My bad - failure to read your signature here. Restored. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:17, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the undelete! Can you possibly get the talk page also?--Kevmin § 18:39, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Deletion of User Page PWScottIV

20:26, 20 January 2017 RHaworth (talk | contribs) deleted page User:Pwscottiv (U5: misuse of Wikipedia as a web host)

Why would you delete my user page that I created over 10 years ago (at least as long as you've been on here) and haven't done much to since then. Doesn't this constitute vandalism? I see that your user page has plenty of personal information, such as pictures of yourself, links to your personal pages? How was my page any different? And if there was a problem, why wasn't I given the opportunity to repair it? The big question is: Are you trying to completely turn people off to being part of and contributing to the Wikipedia community? If not, you're doing a wonderful job. — Pwscottiv (talk) 04:59, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Your user page was a classic fake article - written in the third person, littered with peacock terms and not a word about what you do on Wikipedia. Try writing a more modest page in the first person with at least 30% of it talking about what you do here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:17, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Are you implying that the bio I had on my profile page was "fake"? I can assure you that EVERYTHING I had in there was 100% accurate.Pwscottiv (talk) 07:45, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

  • I provided a link to fake article. Did you follow it? Please reply. Surely I made it clear that I was not in any way questioning the veracity of the page. My sentence beginning "try writing" makes specific recommendations. Instead of fussing here, what is your objection to following those recommendations? Please reply. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:06, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Shia Waleed

Deletion of medical images

For Xray and CT as long as nothing is drawn on them the position of the US copyright office is that they are public domain. Once someone draws on it than it becomes copyrightable. I would therefore argue that User:Jfdwolff holds the copyright on this File:Sagital sinus thrombus.JPG. — Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 02:46, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

Do we allow people to request all their work be deleted?[2] I was under the impression the release was irrevokable. — Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 03:25, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Please learn wikilinks. In the case of images {{db-user}} is almost always accepted. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:29, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

Which wikilink are you hoping I learn? Not seeing how Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#U1 applies? Best, Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:53, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Not a specific wikilink but the technique of linking to an image or category instead of using it in an article, eg. File:Sagital sinus thrombus.JPG instead of [3]. To proceed further, either: request restoration of one or two test cases via DRV or start a discussion of the principle at VPP. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks a useful technique. — Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 05:48, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Why did you delete my Sandbox??

Strange, why did you delete my sandbox? Can I have it back please? I never thought I would have to worry about my sandbox being deleted, isn't that the point of having a sandbox so that one can put there whatever one wants? I had copied the content of the article on ruby cup there in case it would be deleted. Perhaps the misunderstanding arose from that page as that had a speedy deletion tag. Looking at your talk page though, quite a few people seem to have had the same problem as me, i.e. that you deleted their sandbox pages. Perhaps be a bit less trigger happy in future? — EvMsmile (talk) 21:08, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Please learn wikilinks and get them right - there has never been an article at ruby cup. This edit by you unambiguously added a speedy delete tag to the page. Be more careful in future. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:29, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for un-deleting the page and for being so responsive. I don't know what you mean though with "there has never been an article at ruby cup"? Yes, there has been, see my entry on your talk page below this. You have un-deleted it now (Did it matter that I didn't use capital letters? Ruby Cup). — EvMsmile (talk) 10:46, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Yes!! After two years you should have learnt that Wikipedia titles, apart from the first character are case sensitive. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Well after many years with Wikipedia you should have learnt to be more friendly and welcoming instead of rubbing in people's mistakes. If I write about an article on ruby cup then most probably it did exist (you even changed the heading below this section to Rubicon because you didn't believe me that ruby cup existed?? I changed it back). Anyhow, we all make mistakes, so let's not rub them in all the time but be friendly and welcoming! We are all trying to do our best here (except for the annoying vandals of course). Have a great day! — EvMsmile (talk) 13:31, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Why delete article Ruby Cup so quickly

Was it necessary to delete the article Ruby Cup so quickly? I tried to have a discussion about deleting the article Ruby Cup but you deleted it the day after the tag was added to the article. What's the point in inviting people to contest the deletion tag if one doesn't even get a day to have it discussed? I would have thought one week at least? The article wasn't in any way offensive that it needed to be deleted straight away (after it already existed for many months). — EvMsmile (talk) 21:13, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

  • It's your lucky day! I have also restored this page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:29, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks. But I think you forgot to restore its talk page as well. It's important as I put my inputs on that page as to why this page does not require speedy deletion. — EvMsmile (talk) 10:51, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

After many years with Wikipedia, you should know that if you undelete a page then you also need to undelete the talk page! Hah - just showing you what it's like when someone unnecessarily rubs in a mistake. ;-) Just trying to be funny. :-) EvMsmile (talk) 13:32, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Chinavasion

Hi there, Can you please help me, the page Chinavasion was deleted for reasons G11, however, I don't think the content was unambiguous advertising or promotion, It was a simple brief two line that I think were unbias and which stated a point of fact about a company. Would it be possible to have the page reinstated? If not how could I make a simple informative entry for this company to show its relevance as one of the first e-commerce industry in China. Thank you. James@Chinavasion.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.134.91.19 (talk) 01:25, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

Talk:Draco mindanensis

Hello, I wonder why you deleted Talk:Draco mindanensis with the justification "G8: Talk page of a nonexistent or deleted page"? The page Draco mindanensis is existing and well. Cheers, Micromesistius (talk) 03:55, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Micromesistius: There are two possibilities : a) The power has gone to Roger's head and he's just deleting stuff to annoy you or b) It was a mistake. I'm going for b). Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:29, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

why did you delete Vicious Kitten records?

It is an archival piece as the label no longer exists! How can you delete that, yet there are other labels still operating as businesses such as Crypt Records? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zappa70 (talkcontribs) 11:21, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Shouting brings me out in a nasty rash. If I see a shouted title in CAT:CSD, I zap as vandalism - no need to look at the content. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Deleted Article

Dear Roger, Hope you're keeping well and enjoying your weekend. I just wanted to get in touch as you recently deleted an article of mine, Draft:Eurocity, Gibraltar and I was wondering if you would mind sending me the text? It was actually my first article and putting it together took a very long time, I'd really appreciate if I could have it back as a point of referral! If you wouldn't mind I also wanted to ask your advice. I'm new to the whole wikipedia concept and I would be very grateful to have your input on our article and what we could do to make it wikipedia friendly. The whole concept of Eurocity is that we're creating a separate "city" within Gibraltar itself for business people (like the "City" in London). It was not meant to sound like advertising (although this is the reason behind the deletion) as the goal is to inform people of the area, and how we're planning on utilising it in order to develop Gibraltar's districts. We had all the necessary sources and references and we we're basing our page on another development in Gibraltar who created a similar wikipedia page and was accepted: Ocean Village, Gibraltar. If its not too much to ask, I wanted to ask your opinion on why their page was approved as opposed to ours, and what we could include/remove from our page to make it acceptable to wikipedia? If there is any chance we could restore it (perhaps with some edits if there are any you could suggest) I would be very grateful. Gibraltar is currently making huge effort to develop and gain some international acknowledgement, as it is a little known country, and EuroCity plans to be a big part of the development scheme in the next several years. Thank you in advance, Kind regards, Anna — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eurocitygibraltar (talkcontribs) (now spamming as Annaturtle21 (talk · contribs))

  • "Why their page …". I wonder if launched in 2003 vs. topped out in 2016 might just possibly be a difference. With the greatest reluctance I have sent you your text but kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your complex is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

Block evasion

Hi. I think that 219.90.106.239 (talk) is a sock IP for User:MarioSoulTruthFan due to the edits on Like I'm Gonna Lose You and it's talk page/GAN page.  — Calvin999 18:15, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

@Calvin999: I can assure you its not I haven' edited that page in ages. Moreover, I haven't been able to access wiki in the past two days, as you can see and when I access wiki I have to make edits as I'm currently in the middle of two GA reviews and I have one article nominated being reviewed that I only knew of today. What kind of proof do you have? You are just shooting in the air and that's not a good look on you tbh. — MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:46, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Sorry I meant User:MaranoBoy, calm down! Simple mistake.  — Calvin999 22:39, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Not worth fussing over. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Correct, next time just be more careful next time Calvin999. Sorry, I overreacted here. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:57, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Then that was all you need to say: 'I think you mean MaranoBoy'.  — Calvin999 11:12, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
I had no idea who could be behind it, tbh. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 20:26, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

Bo's Place draft

Ok, I've entered my email address in 'my preferences' area. I hope you can see it (?). Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by LufferTracker (talkcontribs) 01:33, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello RHaworth. It appears that my draft submission on Bo's Place is missing after a review. From what I can tell, there seems to be an issue of "infringement" on LiveStrong. No infringement was intended, I was trying to reference a linked article and maybe I did it incorrectly. Also, unfortunately I'm unable to locate the draft and I don't have a copy. Is there a way to retrieve it and then correct the LiveStrong reference mistake? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LufferTracker (talkcontribs) 19:01, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Ahmed Abo Elseoud

Dear RHaworth, I don't know what is the reason behind the deletion of my article/cv Ahmed Abo Elseoud, would you please tell me , I can not find the text , is there any way to retrieve it. Regards, Ahmed Abo Elseoud — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahmedmas (talkcontribs) 13:36, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Amazing! You call it a CV but you still ask why it was deleted! Wikipedia is not a social networking site - go to faceBook or LinkedIn. You also need to read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

Deletion of KYLE (rapper)

I see that you deleted KYLE (rapper) multiple times, I'd like to create a page for him. He is becoming a well known rapper by featuring Lil Yachty. He his latest song peaked at No. 19 on BillBoards charts and other music charts. He will also be appearing on The Tonight's Show later this month.

Images uploaded by Ultimate1220

G'day from Oz; you have just deleted a copyvio image of Iran Air's first Airbus A321, uploaded by User:Ultimate1220. I have looked at several other images uploaded by her/him and wouldn't mind betting that some if not all are copyvios as well. Every image I looked at showed a different camera in the metatdata, or no camera at all. It is time for me to go to bed (past midnight where I am), otherwise I would make further efforts to track down the origins of these images. Perhaps you have the time to look into them?
