Guntmar Wolff deleted but still exists.

A couple of days ago you deleted upon my request the page about Guntmar Wolff. However this page still exists on wikipedia if you type in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guntmar_Wolff. Would it be possible for you delete that as well. Thank you! Motivationweb (talk) 20:54, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

LeadMaster Australia Pty. Ltd.

You have deleted our corporate page without discussing your concerns with us first. The page represented significant effort on our behalf and we tried hard to abide by the rules surrounding self promotion.

Perhaps you would like to consider pages such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Netsuite, Oracle Corporation, SugarCRM, Zoho Office Suite or any other of the numerous corporate pages and then contact us and provide the courtesy of explaining your concerns. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tom.e.mackey (talkcontribs) 06:22, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

What a strange idea that we should contact the subject of an article before deleting it! This is an encyclopedia not a business directory.
Your use above of ugly naked URLs [now corrected] instead of wikilinks confirms to me that your sole interest is to promote your company. Please leave it to people who are interested in building an encyclopedia. When your company becomes notable someone with no COI will write about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:15, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Don't know if you want this "rebuttal" here or not, but the page in question is NOT a promotional tool. I've removed all links regarding the publishing company and the release date of the first novel. The page is in regards to my father yes, but he is a REAL author with REAL novels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andthewheelspins (talkcontribs) 14:57, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Normally I ignore anon. postings. To be honest, I deleted it for the arrogant, shouted title - Palestine has another meaning you know! If you remove the shouting within the text, add proper references to reliable sources in English and re-post it at Palestine (EP) then it might stick. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:01, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Moving your house in Sydney

Hello RHaworth. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Moving your house in Sydney, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: sorry, but it isn't promoting anything. Fails WP:NOTHOWTO, but that's not a speedy reaspn. Let the AfD take care of it. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 19:52, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, if I'd seen who it was I wouldn't have "templated" you by using CSDH; but it really isn't a G11. I looked hopefully for a copyvio source, but couldn't find one. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:56, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Actually, I don't mind being templated. If I had seen it with a speedy tag, I would have cheerfully zapped it on the basis of the external links. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:18, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Copyvios by Marquis de la Eirron

I see you just deleted a couple of COPYVIO images I tagged that were uploaded by Marquis de la Eirron (talk · contribs). I tagged these before I realised the true extent of the images that this now-banned user had uploaded. Having looked at a few of them I think it is safe to assume that every one is a copyvio and therefore should be deleted. --Simple Bob (talk) 11:01, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

GBC Asset Management

GBC Asset Management - a division of Pembroke Management is one of the oldest 'growth' style investment managers in Canada, and should be included in Wiki. There are many other firm, with less historical significance that are included. Evidently, I have had some difficulty describing the principles the firm has practices since 1968 -- principles that distinguish its investment philosophy and strategy from the strategies used by other firms -- without sounding like an advertisement. I would appreciate any suggestions you have that would improve the piece. Cheers, (A341672 (talk) 17:46, 5 November 2010 (UTC))

delete image from page previously deleted

Hi. A little while ago you deleted the Southbeach notation page. It contained this image as well: File:Southbeach Notation 0.9 Semantics.png which has not yet been deleted. It was only referenced from there and still appears in google searches.

question about deletion of city media foundation

i see that you have deleted city media foundation page i know that i had not provided nay external references but the foundation is embarking on momentus initiative which needs to be popularised. can i re create the page. the page was deleted before i could put the hang on tag there. — Siddharthmukund (talk) 17:08, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Hangon indeed! You ought to know better than to create an article without evidence of notability. If you can assure me you have no COI, then draft the article in User:Siddharthmukund/sandbox and, when it is ready, submit it to AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:18, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

how do i assure you of COI. I am not employed by city media foundation or have a relative / family member working with them. a friend did direct me to their site as i am interested in new stuff happening on the web. i liked the work they were doing hence i decided to create a wiki page for them. Mean while i would request you to please visit the citymedia page http://www.citymediafoundation.org and may be you could tell me your opinion if they are doing some good work which i think they are doing. they are a non profit organization as far as i believe. Eastern Air Flight 855/885

A little assistance would be appreciated. I think I have fixed all the links to point to the page with the correct title. However, the "What Links Here" page still shows the same entries. Did I miss something or just do it incorrectly? Thanks Bwe1862 (talk) 20:52, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

  • OK, you fixed the links directly from the (article) namespace. But you missed the important edit: this one. As soon as that was done all the other entries in whatlinkshere disappeared as if by magick!

Thanks! Don't know if I'd have ever found that one on my own. Now can you delete Eastern Air Lines Flight 885? Or do I need to add the delete tag to it again? I think that will be sufficient to get me out of your hair. Bwe1862 (talk) 22:11, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

  • You should have found the template because it was clearly there in the whatlinkshere list - how do you think I found it? I see no reason to delete Eastern Air Lines Flight 885. You could apply {{db-redirtypo}} but I would classify it as a (just) plausible typo. And in any case this page and your talk page both link to it! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:18, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Dogtown St. Louis MO

Hi, I would be very grateful if you could give me access to this newspaper article [Dogtown st. louis, MO]. I had started to read it a long time ago and just found it again (only to find it has been deleted). Langlands & Bell deleted images

Dear R Haworth, I just added some images [including File:Langlands & Bell by Steve White.jpg] to illustrate my article on the artists Langlands and Bell, which you have deleted. I'm not sure why, as they were obtained with the permission of their photographer, provided that they are only used on Wikpedia. What am I supposed to do? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Richardwilding (talkcontribs) 16:50, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

You clearly did not review your upload or you would have seen that you had the image had applied a speedy delete tag via template:Db-f3! Providing you do have the photographer's permission and the photographer is willing to licence them under the Creative Commons, then: re-upload them; apply a valid licence tag and provide evidence of permission - see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:05, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
Also, will you please upload the images to the Commons which is the proper place for free-use images. Some editors disapprove of articles with too many images. You may be better creating a Commons gallery or category. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:49, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
I have just checked: the message "Dear uploader: this media file, which you just uploaded, has been listed for speedy deletion …" appears even before you click on upload! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:49, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual

They are my own words in that I am the author of both. I donate to wikipedia the use of the document Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual for keyboard as presented because the current presentation on music harmony as a whole is imprecise and scattered. There is no copyright infringement in my doing this.

There is still some repositioning I intend to do with the article to make it easier to read as regards the necessary sections to understand tertian harmony as a cohesive whole. Prophet of the Most High (talk) 20:21, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

  • I am worried that even when cleaned up, the article will be rejected as an how-to guide. But if you want to try: a) place an explicit statement on your yahoo page saying that your text is licenced under Creative Commons; b) chop out "before the divinity of God was revealed to us by Jesus Christ …" and other "god language" which is totally inappropriate for an encyclopedia; c) submit your article via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:17, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

As to your worry, remember Christ said, "Worry not." Life is easiest that way and so is eternal life. Your subsequent statements, then, in your last submission here are reflective of an undue strain which need not be propagated. I sent a consent to wikipedia authorizing the rightful use of "Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual" at wikipedia hours ago yet the article was deleted in less time than that and there is still no restoration. So copyright is no longer an issue, nor do I need to modify the yahoo page. As to the frivolous advice you render to the exegesis as a whole, maybe in Croydon, UK you live under an anti-Catholic despotism, but here in the United States of America we still have the decency to respect ones religious affiliation, and we effort to foster that rightful thinking in everyone. For you to minimize years, decades, centuries, even millenia of development in the cross sciences of music theory and theology to a debasive "god language" shows poor insight into topics one can only conclude you abhor. Did you know that for centuries it was forbidden for man to sing musical rhythms in groups of three (triplets) because it was deemed a treading upon the Blessed Trinity? Yet, God has not looked upon us with disdain in this, as fuller insights ever have been revealed to us concerning tertian harmony. If God has been so kind to us in this enlightening, how do you justify your betrayal against Him? Unless you and Diannaa take a more fervent interest in tertian harmony as presented, I cannot donate to wikipedia specifically in that regard, which also makes fundraising at wikipedia ludicrous, throwing up a red flag in the process. - Prophet of the Most High (talk) 11:05, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Wikipedia is run by volunteers - you may well have to wait hours or even days. But in this case, sending authorization will not cause the article to be restored. As I have already said, you must: a) re-write the article - surely you understand that this is a secular encyclopedia; b) re-submit it yourself preferably via AfC. (Brevity is the soul of wit.) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:21, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Nowhere in the Five Pillars does one find the statement "this is a secular encyclopedia" included as a fundamental principle. To the contrary one finds "Wikipedia is an on-line encyclopedia. It incorporates elements of general and specialized encyclopedias, almanacs, and gazetteers." So your contortion of the fundamental principles is currently only self-serving.

Your initial rejection was publicly shown to be based on a copyright issue. Even if I had neglected to be mindful of copyright procedures within wikipedia, wikipedia and/or all other volunteers were not accountable for my doing so. You have a no risk scenario, though this is not an open invitation to abuse.

Currently, I am the only worry free volunteer as regards the inclusion of "Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual" as an article in wikipedia. By my remaining this way, I serve as a template for neutral point of view in all matters concerning wikipedia. I invite all of my fellow volunteers at wikipedia to share in this neutral point of view. Though the article "Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual" is written with a glimpse of hindsight as to the development of Tertian Harmony, this in no way detracts from the accuracy and conciseness of what may very well be the best article at wikipedia.

So, the reason for your rejection of "Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual" is not one concerning copyright, nor is it one concerning content. Your reason is personal. I noted that your early contributions included what you called butchering. I sympathize with you in that, but likewise, I cannot condone your projecting of hardships upon others as an act of vengeance due to said butchering. - Prophet of the Most High (talk) 10:28, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, RHaworth. This is just a note to let you know that Prophet of the Most High made some remarks about you on my talk page. Please see User talk:Diannaa#Deletion of Tertian Harmony and Chord Manual. Regards, --Diannaa (Talk) 04:10, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi RHaworth, please can you have a look at the UK Transplant page as some parts of its content are now obsolete (e.g. the new name is ODT) and it has new topics as well to be upload (Online donor register). I can't because of a conflict with my job position. many thanks, Luca luca.degiuseppe —Preceding undated comment added 14:41, 18 November 2010 (UTC).

  • "I can't because of a conflict with my job position". What a strange think to say. COI did not prevent you from creating the article, so why on earth does does it prevent you from tidying it up? You started the article: you can go on with it - especially providing the third party refs. Declare your COI on the talk page, we will judge whether it bars you from editing. My only reservation is: do we need a separate article or should it be merged with NHS Blood and Transplant. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:35, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

You deleted a picture I uploaded of Roger Roberts earlier today. There's an excellent chance that when I did so, I didn't follow wikipedia policy. However, what I am sure of is that I have his permission to do so, because he works in the office next to me, asked me to do it three days ago, and was sitting over my shoulder when I did it. Anywho, if you could advise me on how best to do so in future that'd be great. 13djb13 (talk) 15:04, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Nota Bene article

You've marked my article Nota Bene Word Processor for speedy deletion, on the grounds that 'it does nothing but promote some entity or product'. It is a fundamental rewrite of an article I posted several months ago.

I can't do {{hang on}} because I don't know where to put it, but I'd like to say it.

Nota Bene is one of the very few fully-featured word processors still in existence, of the many that started life in the 1980s. As such, it seems to me that it has a legitimate place on Wikipedia.

I admit to being an NB user, but I am not trying to promote the product, but rather to document its existence. I don't think I'm saying anything about it that isn't said, at greater length, in the Wikipedia articles about MS Word and Word Perfect--the article on the latter contains a number of statements such as 'its unusually user-friendly macro/scripting language'.

I would be grateful for guidance on this issue.

However, the TribalWars webpage in question is an actual game with a wide user base (More active users than there are people in my hometown, which has a Wikipedia page). I was wondering if there was any way I could edit the page to prevent it from being deleted, or if I could pass this task on to a person who could create the page.BlackChaosBelow (talk) 19:15, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Sunflower

Thanks for letting me know, RH. And for the record, I do agree with most of your calls, I just didn't feel this one was proddable as stated. (And yes, I'm interested in this sort of US racial history stuff.) best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 02:54, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Think Banking

Just to let you know following the deletion of the Think Banking page, I will be attempting to recreate the page and hope to better adhere to the guidelines. If you have any advice I would very much appreciate it. I will try and recreate the page at the sandbox page user:Thinkmoney/Think Banking. — Thinkmoney (talk) 11:08, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

  • You should wait until someone with no COI thinks the product is notable and writes about it. And what on earth is "managed" banking. I can assure you that if the Manchester and Liverpool District Banking Company offered to "manage" my account with them, I would put them very firmly in their place. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:00, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

article for deletion

I was wondering whether you had followed the discussion about "HEXACO model of personality structure" as an article for deletion. In particular, if you now judge that the article meets the notability criterion, would you be willing to indicate this on the article-for-deletion page?

However, if you judge that the article still should be deleted, then could you please tell me how I can help to have it deleted? I had posted the article because I wanted the non-academic community to be able to find information about this research, but I'd rather not leave it posted with an "article for deletion" tag. Thanks in advance, M C Ashton (talk) 22:21, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Absolutely no evidence of notability has been added to the article so why should I have changed my opinion? The AfD tag is lingering because the discussion has been relisted. Just be patient and abide by the decision of the admin who closes the AfD. If the decision is 'keep', the tag will be removed. (Or you could go to the AfD discussion and request deletion!) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:31, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
  • I've added a new section that cites some scientific journal articles that have used this model of personality structure. M C Ashton (talk) 17:20, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

FYI

Posting here to let you know that your post at WP:VPM about paid article writers has paid off some as we have closed in on some of the sockpuppets. Also, this AfD may be of interest to you. Thank you for keeping watch, Cheers,

Recently you deleted Ognjen Vuletic under G7. I happened to see the article yesterday or the day before while Huggling (I think) when the original author blanked it. I thought that when I looked at the history, it was ineligible for G7 because at least one other editor had made substantial edits; furthermore, it looked to me like the subject was probably (although not certainly) notable, since it claimed he placed highly in a Czech (I think--again, working from memory) reality show and had won other possibly significant prizes. I wasn't sure, but it looked like there was at least a possibility that the article should be kept and improved. Can you look into the article's history to see if there were any other significant contributions? I'm watching, so you can reply here Qwyrxian (talk) 23:29, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

  • I have e-mailed you the history - judge for yourself. I would say that all three deletions of Ognjen Vuletić were valid G7s. Do you think that Ogggy (talk · contribs) might possibly be Ognjen Vuletić and did you note a 1995 DoB? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:42, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
I guess what I saw was WikHead filling in references, which looks like a large edit but isn't necessarily substantial. Also, in the history I note that back on March 3, an earlier version was declined G7, but that may have just because the creator was using multiple accounts and didn't use the right one to request deletion.
While it's true that he's only 15, the article claims (unfortunately, verification is tough, because the refs are not in English) that he has appeared on television several times, as well as won several competitions. But maybe that's not really good enough...at least one of the competitions seems to be just a local competition hosted by a French cultural center. One of the TV mentions is in passing only...Okay, maybe it makes sense for this to stay out of mainspace for now, until such time as its fully certain the person meets WP:BIO or WP:ENT.
Thanks for checking up on this. When I looked at the article two days ago I didn't look in too much detail; I'd planned to go back eventually, but after the deletion couldn't. Thanks for the help. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:01, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Litton bombing

Hey mate, think you could avoid speedy-deleting a WP:FORK out of process while it's literally in the middle of being created? I'd appreciate if you'd restore the article ASAP so it can continue to be expanded. You'll notice it did not duplicate the blurb at Squamish Five. LikeJudasOfOld (talk) 23:56, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Do we really need a separate article? I suggest you add your extra stuff to Squamish Five and raise the question of a fork at talk:Squamish Five. I would e-mail you your text, if you had e-mail enabled. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:00, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't have eMail enabled, just restore the article and if you disagree with its creation, go about the proper route and use the discussion pages to suggest merging them together. But the Litton Bombing article is likely to reach 30-40k size on its own, which would invoke WP:UNDUE and WP:FORK on the S5 article. LikeJudasOfOld (talk) 00:03, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

  • So enable e-mail. I offered you a perfectly reasonable route for the re-instatement of your text. If you do not want to follow it, go to deletion review. I also find it somewhat suspicious that you are fluent in wiki jargon but have negligible contributions history. Loved the Giotto on your user page - Satan is just like one I had to deal with recently. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:15, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
As another contributor of research, I agree the article about the bombing is necessary due to what will likely be its significant size. BeowulfMacCool (talk) 00:08, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

New Article

Hi, RHaworth! Thanks for deleting my sandbox page, as I moved it to MortgageLoan: but I'm curious about something. When I type "MortgageL..." when searching WP, the article doesn't appear. Is there something I missed when I moved the page? Or does it just take time to show up when searching? Again, I appreciate your help! Cheers :> Doc talk 00:21, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Database lag possibly? Where do those suggestions come from? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:26, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Hopefully it is a database lag: I'm totally unsure of where the suggestions come from. When you type "The" in the search box, you get the same odd mix of newspapers, a couple of countries, and The Beatles. Typing only "Th" shows how many carry over into "The". I'll be looking into this one - it's weird! Thanks :> Doc talk 00:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Found it[2]. Maybe tomorrow... :> Doc talk 01:25, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of Okabu

I created a stub article for an upcoming video game, with reference to a media source with the announcement. It is not spam, unless you consider all upcoming video game articles as such; if so, there's a lot of deletion work to do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MigrantP (talkcontribs) 02:52, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy thanks

Thanks very much for this:

Airsoft deletion

I saw that you deleted the article Celcius Technology so I must to advice you to delete the following articles too, since they have the same issues of Celcius: Systema Engineering, Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, Crosman, Asahi Firearms, G2 – Generation Guns, L.L.C., Sheriff (manufacturer), Jing Gong, KJ Works, Maruzen, Redwolf Airsoft, Tippmann, UTG, and Western Arms. Unobjectionable (talk) 13:15, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

  • If I see any with delete tags, then I probably will delete them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:20, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

I did that work for you. All of them are tagged now. Cheers! Unobjectionable (talk) 13:28, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Oh dear, you called my bluff! I thought you were being sarcastic or acting out of pique. I have taken out the most stubby and unreferenced. Let us see what other admins think about the rest. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:45, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
No sarcasm here. I just want coherent and fair Wikipedia policies and rightfully executed administrative actions. I maintain that most of these airsoft gun manufacturers are notable by their own right. IMHO, articles of companies like Celcius Technologies and now the defunct articles of KJ Works and Maruzen have a place in the category airsoft... I left this to be done at the administrator's discretion. Please, ask other admins if these articles should be restored or deleted (all of them). Thanks. Unobjectionable (talk) 14:00, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
  • Your speedy tags are a request to other admins to delete those that still exist. Of the ones I have deleted today, you can raise the matter at deletion review but before you do so, you need to have properly referenced replacement articles. If you want to produce those, I can e-mail you deleted texts. I suggest you raise this matter at talk:airsoft - you might get support for re-instating. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:23, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
As I got involved here as well so that we have a complete picture: I deleted another stub, declined speedy deletion on Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, Crosman, Asahi Firearms and Tippmann because they claimed importance in one way or another and converted the remaining speedy tags Systema Engineering, Jing Gong, Japan Arms Collection and Western Arms into proposed deletions. I understand form that Unobjectionable is unhappy with the mixed result but there is no reason to assume that all airsoft companies are equally notable and CSD A7 also considers the actual state. There is also WP:REFUND if something needs to be userfied for improvement. --Tikiwont (talk) 16:01, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

I think notice is warranted in this case

I don't disagree with your rationale in the PROD of Flash sale, but the editor went to a lot of work, and the least we can do is notify the author. Do you agree?

I'm temporarily removing the prod notice.

Could you either:

  • add the prod again, with notification, or
  • do nothing, in which case I'll notify, add the prod, and let someone else delete it --SPhilbrickT 17:39, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
I have actually already re-PRODDED and notified, so we can wait another week. The author has no other edits apart from creating this article, so my guess is they won't challenge the PROD, but we should still give them the chance. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:29, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of page - Kelli Stephens

Hi, The page that I was in the process of creating was deleted. This was a bio page on the first female race car driver, to compete a full national campaign in the Australian Saloon car series, and one of only a handful of females competing in a full national series, in circuit racing in Australia.

Can you please allow me to recreate the page, and finish it. XR8Chic (talk) 08:37, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

You deleted the page

Hi Mr. Haworth, I wrote a message for the administrators, which includes you also. And what did you do?? You, without even reading it deleted the article. You should have replied to me in the context. This way editing on Wikipedia is a very bitter experience for me. Its my first article and you deleted this way. Even courts hear the criminals and then decide. What is it then?? Is it a sort of dominancy. Just a same article like that is on the wikipedia but u deleted this one. Great Mr. Haworth.. n thanks a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prakashpanwar (talkcontribs)

Georgia based punk band Veara

Hi! I'm requesting that the protection preventing the creation of an article about Veara be lifted. As I skimmed the deletion log, I saw that you were the last user to delete the article, so I'm hoping you can help me out. Since the deletion, I believe that the band has made significant progress, releasing a full length album on major independent record label Epitaph Records[1], produced by Rob Freeman. Also, the band has acquired an opening slot on the Eastpak Antidote Tour in Europe alongside Sum 41[2].

I'm a new editor to Wikipedia, and I think that writing an article on Veara would be great for my first. I look forward to your response. Thanks! -- RevelsInChains (talk) 03:19, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
