These are not irrelevant. See also is a section to link related articles, and these are somewhat related to the topic at hand. The ones listed are the last events held before Tokyo 2020. The Youth Olympics one can go, but the continental ones should stay. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 14:11, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
I have reverted, again, your edit to Rowing at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Your edit summary talked of past precedence. Rowing at the 2016 Summer Olympics#See also does not include the previous year's Pan-American Games (nor any other year's, nor any other continental games), nor would it have been reasonable to do so. Short track speed skating at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics

Why did you restore my edit? All changes are based on the following source: https://www.isu.org/docman-documents-links-2/2020-yog-lausanne/related-documents-2/22818-isu-communication-2294-1/file as I mentioned in the edit. Nimrodbr (talk) 16:31, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Sorry I was not meaning to remove your edits. I was trying to see the changes you made so I could incorporate them into the table without a separate section. Do you think reallocation needs a separate section? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 00:50, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
For me, the topic of reallocation is immaterial. My personal opinion is that this should be presented separately because the nations that get the quota from reallocation - get the quota because another nation refused and not just because of their position in the qualification competition. Nimrodbr (talk) 08:16, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
In this case this is precisely the reason those three nations got quotas. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:31, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cycling at the 2019 South Asian Games, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Satbir Singh (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). A tag has been placed on Category:2017 Asian Winter Games Results requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Impact of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic on the performing arts

I’ve seen you recently added a section about professional wrestling on Impact of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic on the performing arts. However, wrestling is not a form of performing arts. Therefore, I removed that section from Impact of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic on the performing arts.

That section belongs to Impact of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic on games and sports, please place the wrestling section on that page, it sure will help that page a lot! Corachow (talk) 03:59, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

So, whatch, AGAIN, metals table from the last european championship. All medals from Yugoslavia belongs to Serbia, all medals from USSR belongs to RUSSIA!

If you continue to change this, i will find a way to stopped you, like in FIVB European championship too.

The Bachelor 24 part two finale

Hello! As I was unexpected on you reverted my edits for the part two of finale episode of The Bachelor (American season 24) for being disruptive that I don't see in my way. I was watching that finale less than 24 hours before the season premiere of The Bachelorette (season 16) as I am planned not to watch the latter season. Where I don't give a simple manner I edited the episode summary.

If you wish to clarify and copyedit the summary below to that article:

The Bachelor (American season 24) finale, aired March 10, 2020

The episode concluded when Madison had already departing Australia and left Peter's heart, Peter got nervous on what he is doing next and thinking that Hannah Ann is the one planning to get engaged to her. Chris Harrison came to Peter's place knowing Peter became frustrated and totally shocked, then Peter had his opinion to propose Hannah Ann. When Hannah Ann arrives at the final rose ceremony, Peter proposes to her and giving the final impression rose.

A couple of months later, Peter meets with his family in Los Angeles and telling the news of his engagement with Hannah Ann, then Peter calls Hannah Ann to his family on this exciting moment. Several weeks later, Peter arrived at the safe house and has to talk to Hannah Ann, as Hannah Ann felt sobbed, depressed and lost her emotion, Peter follows her and declared the engagement is about to end. Then, Peter and Hannah Ann are seen for the first time since the breakup and Hannah Ann gives Peter an apology to accept the plea.

Chris comes to Auburn, Alabama to see Madison and he asked the news on Peter's breakup with Hannah Ann and he tells Madison that she is barely in love with Peter, and Madison prepares to travel to Los Angeles. Peter and Madison are seen for the first time since Madison's sudden elimination back in Australia and they have asked a second chance to pursue a relationship. Peter's mother Barbara is on stage and telling the facts over Madison's feelings when Peter's family first met her during the first date. Knowing that Barbara has really done nothing in common with Madison that specifically letting Peter on his relationship with Madison would become better.

Multiple Articles for Deletion

You have nominated multiple pages which relate to Pakistan's women's national sports teams for deletion. I understand that in some parts of the world, these maybe considered individual sports and on some occasions it is the case in Pakistan as well (such as when they compete in professional events). However, these pages are meant for information relating only to those competitions where they represent Pakistan as a team i.e. at regional and continental games and championships. Athletes compete for medals which are awarded as part of Pakistan's tally. Results are considered as team success or failure and individual athletes may be highlighted for it. Even within these so called individual sports such as karate, shooting and cycling, at continental and regional games they have their own team events (eg. Kata in Karate). At the Tokyo Olympics next year they are introducing a mixed team event in judo, which some may consider an individual sport. In Pakistan, competing as a team is the primary method of participating in sports at the international level even in sports such as boxing. Even the Asian Boxing Confederation (ABC) considers Pakistan's participation at the Asian Games in 2018 as sending a female boxing team (see here). Very few individual Pakistani sportswomen such as Mahoor Shahzad (badminton) have competed on their respective professional tours and those competitions are not included in these pages as they are part of their individual careers and do not represent Pakistan per se. I will over time continue to contribute to these pages so as to enlarge them. I would appreciate if you would remove the tags for their deletion. Question

Hi, what's this about? What's "wpacess" and what is the problem? --Sb008 (talk) 13:30, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

WP:ACCESS states " Especially, do not use colored text or background unless its status is also indicated using another method, such as an accessible symbol matched to a legend, or footnote labels. Otherwise, blind users or readers accessing Wikipedia through a printout or device without a color screen will not receive that information." Sportsfan 1234 (talk) The bg is also unnecessary for articles like this. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 02:16, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
If you consider it unnessary you should propose the "bg" parameter to be removed from the template. As long as the parameter is part of the consensus template, it's valid to use it. --Sb008 (talk) 10:04, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
And while you at it, do the same for the bg colors in all the "sports XXX" modules. --Sb008 (talk) 10:15, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
WPACCESS: "Colors are most commonly found in Wikipedia articles within templates and tables." --Sb008 (talk) 10:23, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
You are ignoring what I listed. Please address that. Also the parameter is not a part of the documentation [3] which indicates its not to be used. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 16:46, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

I did adress what you listed. You consider it unnessay, I do. But what you and I think is irrelevant. The consensus is that the colors are used. Plenty of tournamenst which prove so. If you want to change the consensus you probably also know the procedure to do so. And the parameter not being documented doesn't indicate it's not to be used. If it's supposed not to be used, it would have been removed from the template. -- --Sb008 (talk) 18:48, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

To add, "Especially, do not use colored text or background unless its status is also indicated using another method, ...". It's also indicated in another way, the header of the section is quite clear. --Sb008 (talk) 18:53, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Why is it necessary? This has been discussed elsewhere on Wikipedia fyi [4]. A lot of tournaments do not use colour. For ex. [5]. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:14, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
If there is no agreement, we can take it to WP:RFC. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:21, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
FWIW, using templates such as 1st place, gold medalist(s) beside the winner and etc. would work much better. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:24, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
You can take it to WP:RFC. You want to change what's the consensus for several years already. --Sb008 (talk) 19:29, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Can you please point me to where this consensus was determined? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 22:04, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
@User:Primefac what do you think? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 22:04, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
I just took a look at the edit myself and I'm not sure I understand the problem. You cannot simply use color as the only means of conveying info. But it looks like these were under separate headings. Third place, bronze color, final gold color. If the semifinals were in blue I don't see a problem with that either. problems with color arise when you have a list of players where the red colored players were injured. Then, even if you have a key that says red colored players are injured players, some people cannot see it. I don't see that here. Fyunck(click) (talk) 22:20, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
@Sportsfan 1234: Consensus through editing; if something is common practise on international handball tournaments pages for at least 2 years, it can be considered as a consensus.
@Fyunck(click): Your analysis is correct. The bronze medal game and the final are under seperate headers. A bronze background is used for the bronze medal game and the gold background for the final. So there are two means of conveying info. Besides possible red links there will be no red colored players. The only players listed are the topscorers in the match for each team. However, for the international topteams (not to mention semi-finalists) the chance of a red link appearing for the frequently scoring players is as good as zero. As one can see, for all teams who made it to the quarterfinals, you can't find a red link for a player. And if it ever would happen, the red links would turn into blue links in no time. The way I see it, the problem only exists in the mind of Sportsfan 1234. Something similar we see on the page 2001 FIFA Club World Championship, where Sportsfan 1234 keeps deleting cancelled matches using as argument that the matches were never played. If that would be a valid argument, the whole page should be deleted. None of the matches ever took place and therefore the tournament never took place. And what didn't take place, should according Sportsfan 1234, be deleted. Ergo, the page should be deleted/removed.
Sb008 (talk) 09:08, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Your argument for deleting the page is nonsense; the page itself contains useful information about the cancelled tournament. However, sections like the Knockout stages, which I just trimmed, did not. I would argue the individual matches hold some measure of encyclopedic interest and left those alone. Hyperbolic hand-waving isn't going to help anyone in this discussion. Primefac (talk) 14:28, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
I find the coloured background quite jarring, but that's just my personal opinion; as far as ACCESS goes, I would agree that because each game is listed in its own clearly-marked heading, the colouration is a secondary method of displaying the information. That being said, there is clearly a dispute between whether these gamesshould be displayed this way, to which I would say that some form of discussion (either at the template, WT:SPORTS, or as an RFC) should probably occur (two users arguing over formatting isn't going to change things wide-scale). Primefac (talk) 14:28, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
@Primefac: It's not my opinion that the page (or any of the cancelled matches) should be deleted. I also don't agree with the trimming you did. The knockout matches hold factual information as well, i.e. what was planned (locations, dates and times). But the consequence of Sportsfan 1234 line of reasoning, matches which never took place have to be deleted, would mean deleting the whole tournament since the tournament didn't take place, ergo removing the page. A general discussion about collored backgrounds is fine with me. But it's a fact that coloring those matches is the concensus for at least the past two years. If Sportsfan 1234 thinks there're valid reasons for not doing so, the method to change it, isn't trying to impose his views by persisting in deleting the colors (or matches like on the FIFA CWC page). From the consensus page; If an edit is reverted and further edits seem likely to meet the same fate, create a new section on the associated talk page to discuss the issue. He can start a discussion and present his case to change the existing consensus. Keep in mind that this goes beyond this specific template. What about league tables like e.g. 2020–21 Premier League#League table and result tables like e.g. 2020–21 Premier League#Results and probably some more templates/modules. --Sb008 (talk) 17:31, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi, ok..ok. I'll just apologize for participating but the pages for the men's singles, women singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles can still be put there and does not need to be redirected , it has nothing to do with bwf not confirming, if Olympics is cancelled then it can be removed or redirected but it's so far not so it can stay there. Please understand there's noting with confirmation from bwf, just remove the seeds then. Thanks Jr2006Venz (talk) 23:10, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Pan American boxing qualification

Why did you remove this? It has confirmed the 2021 Pan American Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament already cancelled in April due to a rapid spreading COVID-19 surge in Latin America in mid-March. The sources were here: The Americas Olympic qualification event has been cancelled Subject: Updated Tokyo 2020 Qualification System for Boxing, following cancelation of Americas qualifier. Those are totally true and not a joke.

Instead, rankings from BTF Americas were replaced in the remainder quota slots. ApprenticeWiki work 04:42, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Please don't spoil the editing 🙏, it's all in accordance with the qualifications and the BTF ranking for Pan American replaces the qualification and one remaining qualifying slot Jr Tahun (talk) 10:43, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Again and again I've told you many times don't spoil the edits, why don't you read the source available there, and the qualifications has been confirmed to BTF Ranking, read this news and understand https://www.boxingnewsonline.net/ the-americas-olympic-qualification-event-has-been-canceled / Jr Tahun (talk) 00:02, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Badminton qualification

Hi Sportsfan 1234, i revise the badminton qualification list cite per BWF released lists on 18 May 2021. In that article, explained about order of allocations, who qualified as Continental places, relocation place, and tripartite invitation, and i added that information based on references. For now, i will use that reference, until the new lists released. Stvbastian (talk) 21:17, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Talk page

Thank you for your note on my talk page. I would ask you to be patient and kind to an old man and explain to me what you meant. I was using the template of information provided on other pages -ie Brian Malfesi, and it was accurately sourced. The pages you appear to have sandboxed just need someone to provide an info box and cite the references. I am afraid I’m too old and my eyes aren’t quite good enough any more to always do those bits as they are too fiddly for me. But I enjoy doing the research when the time allows. If there’s anything else I can do to avoid your ire whilst indulging the mild hobby of collating information on the internet for other people, please let me know. I am trying to help or hinder. Hildreth gazzard (talk) 17:20, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for your latest message. Please acknowledge as I stated above unfortunately my eyes really struggle with the more implicated citation format and I am unable to do it, and believe you me it is far more frustrating for me than it is for you, no matter how frustrated you think you are. I do however leave the link rot notice to alert the people such as your good selfs who are able to undertake such a task. May I also point out that far from competing with anyone else “to create the most pages” as you projected, the only race I’m involved in is the start of the actual Olympics and trying to fairly represent all these fabulous athletes and their stories in good time to give them the due recognition and representation they deserve. Have a lovely day. 3 weeks to go! Hildreth gazzard (talk) 06:39, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

Unwarranted unilateral removals

Hi, please can you provide an explanation as to why you have unilaterally removed the pages for Madeleine Kelly and Julie-Anne Staehli? They both fulfill WGN:TRACK as national champions who have finished in the top 60 world wide in a specific year. I would kindly ask you to rectify your error, although it will be no trouble for me to replace them myself. Thanks. Have a nice day now. Hildreth gazzard (talk) 15:20, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

They have not been removed. They have been moved to draftspace, so issues can be fixed before it being returned to the main article space. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:28, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

Redlinks

Hey, those links you removed from coaches who are about to coach at the Olympics. They will be notable in 2 weeks (and maybe are already) and will be created, so no need to remove them in my view. Same for the flag at the squads article, when the coach is from another country that the team he/she coaches. That's been done on a lot of squads articles over the years. Kante4 (talk) 07:50, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

I noticed that also, red links are useful, they show that people that the subject can be notable giving editors a chance to create an article. Govvy (talk) 07:59, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
I am indifferent about the red links, wasn't aware they are considered notable if coaching at the Olympics. Also per WP:FLAG flags are not be included if they are not representing that particular country. Off course those representing their country of birth do not get a flag either, which means there should be no flags beside the coach names. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 17:29, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Then this should be raised because if you check several WC and continental championships, it is handled different. Kante4 (talk) 18:11, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
WP;FLAG should be consulted. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 18:27, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Query

Hello, Sportsfan 1234,

Why did you move Joanna Brown to Draft:Joanna Brown, tagged the redirect for deletion and then recreated the article in main space? If you want to improve this article, you should work on the existing draft. Otherwise, it looks like, for some reason, you want to get credit for creating this article when you moved the existing article off into draft space where it will just be eventually deleted. I don't get it and I hope you don't make a habit of doing this. Liz Read! Talk! 01:44, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

From my first consult there appeared to be BLP issues associated with the article. I thought I wasn't going to get a chance to edit it till much later, so moved it to draft. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 01:46, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Reserves do not count

dear Sportsfan 1234 I do appreciate your contributions, since a while, but you cannot REVERT on the simple basis that "reserves do not count": in many sports, reserves count until the event is done. For example, in track and field relays, 5 members of the team train until the race and only a few minutes before the race, changes can be done. finally of course only 4 will run (in the heats), but very often, they ard changes in the final. You may be confused with "P alternates" that are not part of the team of 5 (replacing athletes for previous injuries). I do not agree with your changes and revert, without any source, according your bias.--Arorae (talk) 19:33, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

In artistic swimming the max athletes is 8, there is 9 listed for Italy, in Fencing there is a max 18, there is 24 listed and so forth. Please consult the qualification documents before reverting. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:36, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
too easy to reply (badly) like that. Consider the fact that I have read the official documents, especially on fencing and there are team of 4: restricted to 3 in competition (but can replace his teammates until the final event) and Italy qualified all the 6 teams. You will never receive anymore thank or ask from my side, sorry.--Arorae (talk) 22:15, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Now ask me if I care? You said you read the document but you failed to read the maximum team size is 18 as per page 1 [6]. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:49, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Podium sweeps

Hi Sportsfan, I hope you are enjoying the Olympics! I'm sorry I undid your edit. I'm not sure why you think podium sweeps are trivia. They are included in all other olympics articles and I thought they were fairly standard content, certainly not trivial. I'd be happy to discuss this if you want to, but I guess they would have to be removed from all the other articles too so it's probably a Project-wide topic rather than just Tokyo 2020.

On an unrelated issue... What ARE we to do about our friend Arorae? I notice that you put a 3RR warning on his/her Talk page yesterday which s/he immediately deleted. I then looked at his/her Talk page revisions and found that s/he has a history of just deleting posts that s/he doesn't want to deal with. Is that not a case for ANI? It is definitely against Wikipedia's policy of civility and cooperation (4th pillar). Rodney Baggins (talk) 12:00, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

I think it is trivia for the main Olympic page, but perfectly fine on the medal table article. As for Arorae, I am not sure. Ill leave it up to you. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 12:40, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

What really expected? Is the qualifications of the events already set? And it is 206 nations will be participated 3 years later, a projected number is not acceptable. You know yourself. --Aleenf1 15:51, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
Its not a projected number. 206 is the number of NOC's. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:52, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

Australia at the 2020 summer Paralympics

I notice that you have been doing a number of edits to this article. Among those, today you have deleted the names of team officials and have removed the names of the players in the goalball team. This article has been created as part of the Australian Paralympic Wikipedia history project. Through the project, more than 1,000 articles have been created and these articles are collectively viewed more than 120,000 times every month. During the Tokyo Games, we know from experience that the articles will be viewed more than 2 million times. The articles about Australia at each Games comprise an important historical record of Australia at the Paralympic Games and contain information that is difficult for the average viewer to find elsewhere. The article about the Australian team at the Tokyo Games follows an established format. Whether individuals named in the article are notable or not, their inclusion is part of the historical record of the Games and helps add value to the article. Similarly, the names of the athletes in the team sports are difficult to track down elsewhere. The article has been created by a person with extensive experience in this project since 2012 and most of the editing is being done by him and other people very familiar with the project and Wikipedia. Can I ask that you stop making changes to the article that actually reduce its value. Thank you. Tony.naarTony.naar (talk) 04:54, 22 August 2021 (UTC) You have deleted information that is factual and relevant to Australian team at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. This page has been edited in line with a project of Paralympics Australia and Wikimedia Australia. Full details can be found at -https://wikimedia.org.au/w/images/9/92/Wikimedia_Paralympic_history_project.pdf The information about officials is relevant - they are listed but only given an article if notable. Team officials are not notable per the Wikiproject (WP:OLYMPICS and WP:MSE), only athletes are too be listed. The removal of the goalball team members is completely unintentional and should/will be restored back. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:11, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Please stop removing the templates from the page. There is currently a deletion discussion about it and the content dispute should be discussed there. Until there is a result to the deletion discussion, the page should remain with the templates as that is the stable version. Per WP:BRD, you were bold and substed the templates, then I reverted it back to the stable version, and it is now being discussed in the deletion discussion for the templates. Removing the templates also skews the deletion discussion, leading to false arguments such as "the templates are unused". --SuperJew (talk) 06:04, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Don't you think it's rich templating me with a 3RR warning, when you're the one who originally changed the page from it's stable version according to consensus with other sports in the tournament and with previous years tournaments, but when reverted you are not discussing and waiting for a decision before changing back to your preferred version? Per WP:BRD Making bold edits is encouraged, as it will result in either improving an article, or stimulating discussion. If your edit gets reverted, do not revert again. Instead, begin a discussion with the person who reverted your change. You made the bold edit, you were reverted, but you are not "not reverting again", but rather reverting again and using it to skew the deletion discussion. --SuperJew (talk) 17:32, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

List of Olympic medalists in badminton

Hello, can you give a reason why you prefer flagIOCmedalist than flagIOCathlete for doubles events?

Nyoman Juniarta (talk) 08:35, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

In a table of medalists, the flagIOCmedalist should be used. Medalist=medalist template. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 00:27, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
Could you help me find any Wikipedia guide or consensus saying that Template:FlagIOCmedalist is the only template permitted in any table of medalists?
I doubt that Template:FlagIOCathlete can not be used in such tables. I agree that Template:FlagIOCmedalist should be used for single medalists. But when a pair of athletes share a medal, and they are displayed in a two-line cell with the word "and", then Template:FlagIOCathlete should be used. In that case, the flag in the first line will align with the word "and" in the second line. The two athlete names will also be aligned. It's visually better.
Another option to display a pair of medalists is by using Template:FlagIOC. In that case, the country's flag & name are in the first line, followed by the two medalists each in its own line, without the word "and" in between. This is also the case for any medal won by a team of more than two athletes. Nyoman Juniarta (talk) 08:01, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
{I disagree, a medalist template exists to be used to indicate medalists, otherwise there is no point to the template. You can open a discussion on the template's talk page. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:09, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
Other editors also agree medalists should be used [7]. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:15, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
I think you misunderstood. I am talking about a PAIR of medalists, not a single medalist. By PAIR, I mean a medal that is won by two athletes, like doubles events in badminton, double sculls in rowing, ice dance in figure skating, etc.
I said it before, I agree to use flagIOCmedalist for singles events. I asked why you prefer flagIOCmedalist for DOUBLES events in badminton.
The editor that you refer in [8] did NOT deal with a PAIR of medalist. Moreover, he/she did NOT change the flagIOCathlete in the table of medalists in Tandem event [9], which is PAIRS of medalists. So in a certain sense, he/she agrees to use flagIOCathlete for PAIRS of medalists. Nyoman Juniarta (talk) 07:11, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello, do you have any other reason that validates your use flagIOCmedalist in doubles events? I repeat, I AGREE to use flagIOCmedalist for SINGLES events, but NOT for DOUBLES events. If not, I will revert your edit. Nyoman Juniarta (talk) 14:57, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
Templates should be uniform across the table, and I still prefer medalist as it shows the country's name vs the code, which most people do not know. If you want it changed take it to the talk page as per WP:BRD. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:40, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
The table Rowing at the 2020 Summer Olympics#Men’s shows that two different templates (Template:FlagIOCmedalist and Template:FlagIOC) can be used together in one table (unless someone modified it later).
If you want a full country name, we can use Template:FlagIOC (as I already proposed earlier). Nyoman Juniarta (talk) 17:49, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Cosmetic edits

Hello, I'd like to advise you against performing cosmetic edits (those that do not change the contents of the page, but only the source code). These are generally viewed negatively. Additionally, the recent edits you made also changed category sorting by replacing sortkeys of " " with whatever the category name is. Please don't do this. Thank you! Unconstructive Edit Question?

Hello! I added that Leeuwarden as the host of the Olympic Qualification Event. I also included a source: https://worldcurling.org/2021/09/oqe2021-host/ Why was my edit reverted? And why did I get a notification: "Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Curling at the 2022 Winter Olympics – Qualification. Edits broke tables

This edit broke at least three tables. Do a find on the page for ccffcc to see what I mean; the table cell had been displaying a color, and after your edit, formatting code was displayed instead. Please fix all instances of this erroneous edit. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 19:39, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

I only saw one instance of the issue, and have fixed it. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:00, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

Why did you revert the edits made to Template:Curling at the 2022 Winter Olympics? And why didn't you provide a rationale when reverting the edits to communicate to your fellow editors? It seems perfectly reasonable to me to have links to the articles about qualification tournaments in that template since there's already a link to the general qualification article. A202985 (talk) 15:03, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

Its pretty self explanatory. Qualification tournaments are not linked in these templates, see virtually all other sports. The tounament is also coveed under qualification, which is already linked on this template. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 21:33, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
