This is excellent!! (Wow, even with the exclamation point icon!!) I figured out how to copy/paste the template from your space to mine, as you'd suggested, to make sure I have my own source copy. (I don't quite understand why the personal pronoun didn't get picked up from your syntax, so I tweaked it for now). I'm delighted (and relieved) to have this in place, but also mightily pleased that another User (= you) has been so forthcoming with assistance. Is this "disclaimer banner" being made available in a library of templates? I got mostly lost after "That category's there for a different reason", as I don't have that much experience of categories and templates. No problem. The workaround seems to have worked anyway. The template does correctly create subpages on article talk pages for comments anyway, and judging by the Category:Irish Republicanism articles with comments being already populated when I created it everything seems to work ok. Emerging Church List

I noticed that you flagged the List of Prominent figures in the Emerging church movement with a request for editors to cite sources. In the past this has meant editors adding links to the individual's blogs. I have always interpreted this as spamming as have some other editors. Are blog links the kind of sources you had in mind or are you like for outside evidence of prominence in these citations?Will3935 09:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

It appears Soundmaster created the page you warned him about himself, so there wouldn't have been a copyright in that article. Still, a good idea to warn him for later reference. Image deletion/copyright problems

Hi,

I'm quite new to wikipedia and hope you can help me with the following:

I uploaded an image to put with a text I had just written. This image was given to me by the owner of the image himself so that I could use it. I saw the copyright rules, but wasn't sure which to select in the list, with the result that I got the message that the image was likely to be deleted. I'm from the Netherlands and though my understanding of English is pretty good, it might be this is the reason that I don't quite understand how to upload images without making it likely they'll be deleted. To get to the point:

• What should I select as licensing to be sure the image will not be deleted (knowing that I got the image from the owner).
• Could you remove all the 'wrong' images (aprox. 5) that I've uploaded?

I hope you can answer my questions (even though I'm a bit of a dummie ;))

Hey there. I'm pleased to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator! You've volunteered to do housekeeping duties that normal users sadly cannot participate in. Sysops can't do a lot of stuff: They can't delete pages just like that (except patent nonsense like "aojt9085yu8;3ou"), and they can't protect pages in an edit war they are involved in. But they can delete random junk, ban anonymous vandals, delete pages listed on articles for deletion (provided there's a consensus) for more than one week, protect pages when asked to, and keep the few protected pages that exist on Wikipedia up to date.

Almost anything you can do can be undone, but please take a look at The Administrators' how-to guide and the Administrators' reading list before you get started (although you should have read that during your candidacy ;). Take a look before experimenting with your powers. Also, please add Administrators' noticeboard to your watchlist, as there are always discussions/requests for admins there. Wikipedia:Improving referencing efforts

Man, you're quick. I have the page up for a few minutes and you already notice I've mentioned your script. I didn't even get the time to warn you personally. What I'm imagining in an ideal situation is every time an article is added to a category "Articles lacking sources" or any of its subcategories (which is I think your script can determine) it would leave a listing on a WikiProject subpage to draw the attention of expert editors to find sources. What project to inform would depend on the categories an article is listed under. If for example it's a bio it would be listed at for example Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Articles lacking sources.

This has a few problems. It wouldn't be able to to sort otherwise uncategorized articles and I have no idea if it can be run 24/7 which would be ideal (though shorter burst would be an improvement on the current situation). I am clueless about technical aspects of scripts and bots so now you've heard this, you can tell me, how much of it is possible?

My main goal is to improve the current way of categorizing unsourced articles the same way stubs and deletion debates are categorized to make it more effective. - Mgm|^(talk) 17:47, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

I saw your message on Yuri's page, but I presume you haven't contacted Brion. Are you serious about the script? Some people have a js to automatically reload the watchlist every some minute or so (Special:Watchlist, not the api one). Tizio 15:04, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm more of the idea that a change somewhere else caused the watchlist to stop. After all, I presume you don't load more than 1 page every 10 sec on average, and not 24h per day. Unless a lot of other people are using the same script, it shouldn't be that noticeable. The strange thing is, I was pretty sure that the message I got up to yesterday was a "not a logged in" one, but now it tells "unknown_list". Any objection if I submit a bug? Hey! I need your help

I've tried askin several other administrators on Wikipedia about an important matter. NONE (not even User:1ne himself) could help me on this: on the DragonBall wikia, I created some templates there such as a Template:Message box and have been trying to properly create a [[1]] exactly like User:1ne/Title was created here on this Wikipedia. I could really, really, really use your help, man... we don't even have any administrators there to help out at this stuff and a friend of mine there couldn't find anyone also. See, I just want it created obviously so I can hide the "User:" in my username there. I don't plan to edit this Wikipedia with the username I'm talking to you with now, as it was only made to conceal my IP address; I'm more desparately needed to help out there. So, if you could help, that would be great! Also, I tried creating Template:Tracking category and Template:Interwiki there also, as I thought it was the case to solve my problem. Perhaps it isn't and was a mistake of mine to make them (I'm still an amateur at this template stuff ;[) So, whenever possible, may you please respond to my account there only or just fix those templates and let me know? Better yet, we could sure use other templates made there, but you don't have to do all of 'em (hint: I'm the "burdock man" who created those templates) Thanks! I'm anonymous

• Wasn't there two random things in there: the smiley and the recipient? If the recipient was no longer random, the smiley can still be. You don't have to make such a version for me though. MediaWiki:Block-log-flags-noautoblock

This actually wasn't a test, for some reason MediaWiki:Block-log-flags-autoblock was on the system messages list, rather then MediaWiki:Block-log-flags-noautoblock. So my edit was a test to see if it would fix it, and it did. I have been trying to find that forever, and I finally did. :). It actually didn't use to have a default, and used to say "noautoblock", rather then the true default "autoblock disabled". But it works now. Prodego ^talk 19:45, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Auto purge script.
