Transportation and Ticket Center Article

TTC Deletion

Hi, I noticed in edit you used an edit summary pretty much saying you were upset it was deleted. I'm not sure how familiar you are with wikipedia, but since it was speedily deleted you can probably ask the closing admin (User:Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry in this case) to restore the page as a subpage of your user page if you feel there was salvageable information on it. If you do so, you may be able to find sources that could show the notability of the article, or even just to add information in the Magic Kingdom article. I didn't see the page before it was deleted, so I don't know if you think it's worth it, but I'm sure the admin would be accommodating if you asked him. Phydend (talk) 01:44, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Alliance

I have just thought of an idea that could help to improve your WikiProject (Nottinghamshire). I have looked at the counties in the East Midlands and Compared them to the amount of those counties with WikiProjects, they are Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We all share a common purpose, that is to work on the articles of our county's which includes local history, geography and biographies.

Therefore to help us share methods of research and many other needs (basically 'constructive collaboration' as I call it) I am proposing that we form an alliance, NOT a Merger. I believe an alliance allows us to be independent just as before but in collaboration as well. This could really benefit our WikiProjects and I feel we might be the first in Wikipedia's history. I am a member of WikiProject Lincolnshire, I have founded WP:Latin and have already proposed the idea with relatively positive feedback still coming in and have placed a notice in WikiProject England. 95jb14 (talk) 17:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC).

MOTD's State of Emergency + 1st of May's Motto

As you probably already know, we are facing some problems at MOTD. I am personally monitoring all the nominations on a daily basis and I'm finding very difficult to aprove the motto for the next day. The number of nominations has grown significantly, but even then it seems not enough. Please, if you have time, take a look at the nominations. And, if you like some of them but you think they are not good enough for being approved because of the set of links or and etcetera, please, try to improve them where it is possible. At this rate, I fear that we will see the end of the project. Thanks in advance.

Mother's Day 2011 or 2012

Okay, I'm here again to bother you (again and again... sorry). Things seem to go much better at MOTD, right now. THANK YOU!!!
The reason why I'm writing you is the following: next Sunday (8th of May) is Mother's Day. I know that it is celebrated on different days around the world, but I'd love if we could (and are able to) make our "very-little" contribution in honour of all the mothers in the world. For the upcoming 8th of May (Sunday) there is already a motto in schedule, but I think that we can move the motto approved for that day to another date and to put one about mothers in place of it. A brief note, please, read it carefully, especially the last part in bold: The last time we (our project) gave awards to our (its) members on last Summer, then the number of new nominations and reviews of the existing nominations has been diminishing. The end result was the "April crisis" with no mottos for about an entire week. On the contrary, I hope this award will help to maintain our level high or, at least, appropriate to its needs, the needs of our project. I think that around 10 minutes a week to "devote" to the project, when it is possible of course, should be more than enough to achieve the desired result.
Of course, I gave you this award personally, in a personal way and not in the name of the project. This is just a way to say a BIG thank you, so, refrain from returning the award to me or I would be overwhelmed by stars and banners and it is not my intention to "profit" on this, really! Please, do NOT return the award! And, there is no need to thank me, it was my pleasure.

Nottingham Forest

Hi. I understand your point regarding the addition of recent transfers to the Nottingham Forest article. However, this clearly contravenes WP:RECENT as it is putting more emphasis on these recent signings than the signing of players earlier in the club's history (with the exception of 2008-09). This kind of info would be better captured in the 2011–12 Nottingham Forest F.C. season article. It is yet to be determined whether the signing of any of these players will actually be significant in Forest's 146 year history. I think it's good to look at the history sections of club articles that have reached featured article status. Good examples would be Arsenal F.C. or Ipswich Town F.C.. No, certainly not an ignorant question! Basically, SVG (vector) files do not lose their shape when made bigger, something that raster formats (JPG, GIF, PNG) are guilty of. Nottingham geography - Aspley

Hi Malpass, joined two months ago, think I edited the Nottingham Forest article slightly when I started out, anyway, I was wondering whether you could give this a look Aspley and check to see if it's alright (It's better than before anyway... complete mess). I was looking around a few of the suburb articles for Nottingham and most seem to be a complete mess >.<. Also do you think the Aspley article should concern the council estate or the actual Aspley Ward, although not entirely sure if the ward is just something for local elections. Project discussions

Within the project, discussions included how two project articles appeared on TFA in quick succession, a RfC on inclusion of particular viewpoint on future lengthening of certain trainsets on British Rail Class 458 and assessment of London Underground's electric locomotives
Within other related projects, relevant discussions included were on the expansion and promotion of Herne Hill railway station, the existence of the Sutton Loop, Midland Main Line vs Gret Central Main Line and WikiProject London in Signpost
