United kingdoms my home (talk) 01:14, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Hello.

Could you explain exactly what you meant by "the copyvios report said that it was unlikely"? As far as I am concerned, it is a clear violation of copyright from the IMDB and the article needs taking down. If you were to look at the website in question then it would be useful as it would make it clear to you that this is the case.

Chesnaught555 (talk) 10:04, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

On the page, I clicked on "Copyvios report" in the copyright infringement notice, and it said that a copyright violation was unlikely (a very low confidence level). I use copyvios reports to determine whether or not to nominate a page for speedy deletion as a copyright infringement. It was a very small possibility and I saw the comparison of the pages, and it didn't look like an unambiguous copyright violation. Thanks, Qpalzmmzlapq (talk) 13:39, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

OK, thanks for clarifying that. I understand why you took it down now.

Kindest regards,

Chesnaught555 (talk) 18:04, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Hello again, sorry to bother you.

I have been told to place a template on said page by another contributor. Please read "My apologies for asking another question so quickly" on the Teahouse talk page. If you wish, I could ping you onto it. The editor Justlettersandnumbers has stated the reasons as to why it has been done. There are several issues with the page. Kindest regards,

Hello Chesnaught555. Can you tell me where you put that "My apologies for asking another question so quickly" message because I can't find it? Thank you, Qpalzmmzlapq (talk) 14:03, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
Hello.

I have "pinged" you to the section of the Teahouse page in which the article was brought up.

Kindest regards,

EranBot Project - Copyright Violation Detection

A new copy-paste detection bot is now in general use on English Wikipedia. Come check it out at the EranBot reporting page. This bot utilizes the Turnitin software (ithenticate), unlike User:CorenSearchBot that relies on a web search API from Yahoo. It checks individual edits rather than just new articles. Please take 15 seconds to visit the EranBot reporting page and check a few of the flagged concerns. Comments welcome regarding potential improvements.

Speedy deletion

Please do not tag pages for speedy deletion under A7 (or any other criterion that starts with A) if they aren't in the main/article namespace (which drafts are not). Jackmcbarn (talk) 21:22, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Oops. Sorry about that. Thank you. Qpalzmmzlapq (talk | contribs) 21:42, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Qpalzmmzlapq! I got the message that my article has been deleted by criteria for speedy deletion. It says that I can't do pages about music bands or other someone's works and projects. So, my question is, what should I do to write article about music band and not be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Seretse Kalzeubet (talkcontribs) 08:53, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

@Seretse Kalzeubet: What it's saying is that the reason the article was tagged for speedy deletion was because it did notcredibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. If you do want it to be deleted, contest the nomination by clicking Contest this speedy deletion. Administrators will check your comment before they decide to keep or delete the page. In order for it to not get deleted, provide reliable sources (no original research). The reliable sources should be enough for the page to not get nominated for speedy deletion. Qpalzmmzlapq (talk | contribs) 16:40, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

I declined your G12 tag on this article because the lead did not appear to be a copyright violation and the subject seemed notable. However I have removed the non-free material and deleted the revisions which contained it. Thank you, BethNaught (talk) 08:16, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

You have incorrectly marked the article Hovden Cannery for speedy deletion. The sourced material is in the public domain, as it it taken directly from the Library of Congress website. (January 31, 2016 EST)

Wikipedia page

Hello! I got a message saying that the page I just created was nominated for speedy deletion. My page was called "Kino MacGregor", I've been following her work for years, she has almost a million followers on Instagram, is the author of two books and some DVDs, owns a studio and a clothing line, so I don't get why it's self promotion? In my opinion, she's "famous" enough to have a Wikipedia page. Thank you for reading. Xoxo Giulliana13 (talk) 18:05, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

@Giulliana13: Did you read Wikipedia:Spam? Also, you cannot copy material from other sources. And being famous enough had nothing to do with the article being deleted. Qpalzmmzlapq | talk | contribs 21:05, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Before you make further allegations of copyright violations, please take the trouble to check the edit summaries and article content for attributions to suitably licensed sources. Please remove your speedy deletion tag. Kerry (talk) 23:50, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

@Kerry Raymond: I removed the tag. I didn't check the edit summary of the first edit when I tagged the page. Thank you. Qpalzmmzlapq | talk | contribs 23:54, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Kmackanin

Hi Qpalzmmzlapq,

I recently received a warning for speedy deletion for two pages I created. I apologize for my confusion. I am trying to create a new wikipedia template for my employer and before being able to do that I am trying to simply recreate some wikipedia pages we already have in use. We use wikipedia already for other programs and I am piloting the creating of a template for the PCAT program. I'm so new at this that beginner is an overstatement. My intent was not to make my sandbox available to others while I try to recreate some of these pages. I am just trying to recreate some pages we already have made so that I can learn how to use and write in wiki with the ultimate goal of making a new template for our PCAT program. I left a message on my 'talk' page and hope that you can review it before deleting my pages.

Thanks so much,

Kayla Kmackanin (talk) 01:56, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

@Kmackanin: I tagged them because Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. To me, it appeared to violate that rule. It just looked like lesson plans to me. Thank you, Qpalzmmzlapq | talk | contribs 02:12, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi Qpalzmmzlapq,

Okay, so I am okay to continue making and editing subpages in my sandbox? Eventually these will be deleted and transferred into an actual template we'll be using. I just want to make sure I won't wake up tomorrow and my work will be gone haha

Kmackanin (talk) 02:32, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

@Kmackanin: Okay thank you. An admin removed the speedy deletion templates. Qpalzmmzlapq | talk | contribs 12:15, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Wizardry saga reply

Hello, This is goggles the first. I would like to inquire why you supplied a "speedy deletion" notice above my prior work, which is still in the phase of editing. I would also like to draw you attention to the naming of the "speedy deletion" notice, and suggest its renaming as "swift" "Prompt" or "immediate" removal - a suggestion of this pages deletion, as "speedy deletion" a) suggests slang references, and abbreviations, and b) may come across to more sensitive users than myself as harsh, abrupt and possibly rude. Please consider these recommendations and requests. Thankyou, Qpalzmmzlapq. post scriptum: I reccomend you change you name so that it is easier to type. Or was that your purpose in naming you self?

Yours most sincerely, Goggles the first — Preceding unsigned comment added by Goggles the first (talkcontribs) 17:21, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

@Goggles the first: Please read Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Do not create hoaxes. I tagged the page for deletion because Google gave me no results from it, and I assumed it was a hoax. No one is being rude when he/she tags a page for speedy deletion. It's done because it would have no practical chance of staying in Wikipedia or surviving a deletion discussion. rollback

Hi Qpalzmmzlapq. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Katietalk 21:57, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Responding to your message

I'm still editing. If there's any concerns may you please address them to me. Sharifshakurbey (talk) 00:56, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

@Sharifshakurbey: First of all, you removed a speedy deletion message from the page which you created, which is not allowed. Also, the "divine warning" message placed in the article does not seem suitable for an encyclopedia article. That is why I undid your edits. Qpalzmmzlapq | talk | contribs 00:59, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
I've made comments regarding other editors being racist because whenever I mention, Moor, Muslims, Prophet Drew Ali, blacks and etc., the article is deleted. But a full artice on George Washington and others of European history is left alone. So I ask what is lacking in my article? Sharifshakurbey (talk) 01:07, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
The Divine warning his historical evidence in Moorish literature by Noble Drew Ali and the Circle 7 Koran . Noble Drew Ali given the authority by Sultan Abdul Aziz Saud, of the Saud royal family. Please restore. Sharifshakurbey (talk) 01:10, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
@Sharifshakurbey: Per section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page was nominated for deletion because it is a repost of material previously deleted via deletion discussion. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/General Consulate of Moroccan Empire in America for the deletion discussion. In order for the page to survive the speedy deletion, you must address the reasons for why the page was deleted. Qpalzmmzlapq | talk | contribs 01:14, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

I feel that my edits are valid since all I did was change the page so that it was hypothetical. My edit should be reinstated

Got your message that you cancelled my edit to Aedes aegyptae. I added a pronunciation note and think it should be reinstated. This mosquito is in the news day-in, day-out, and no one knows how to pronounce it. I have my PhD from Princeton in linguistics and have studied pronunciations of Latin words all my life. The IPA pronunciation I gave is the correct one for binomial nomenclature, though many people get it wrong. Latin AE is confusing to English speakers, but simply by observing words like "Caesar" the correct pronunciation is evident. Which is why the pronunciation note is needed for this increasingly important insect.Theorthoepist (talk) 00:27, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

@Theorthoepist: The reason I reverted it was it was placed at the very top of the source and to me looked like nonsense characters. I would suggest adding the pronunciation after "Aedes aegypti". I'm sorry that I'm not very good at this. –Qpalzmmzlapq T C 00:41, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Most of us don't give out due recognition – meaning positive reinforcement – even when it is well deserved. It is a systemic fault, IMHO. We are all volunteers here, and we work better with strokes, not pokes. But I digress. 7&6=thirteen () 00:46, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Page curation

Hi there, I don't really know where to ask this question, but since you review new pages, I figured I'd ask yo first and maybe you could help me. So basically, on April 26 I created the new page Italy national football team results (unofficial matches) but for some reason it isn't showing in my list of page creations here or here. It can't be that it still needs time to process since I created a page after that one and it's already listed. I am puzzled why this page isn't on the list of articles I created? Thanks for the help. Regards, Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 17:15, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

@Vaselineeeeeeee: Hello. That seems weird that the article would not show up in either of those lists. I'm sorry, but I do not know why that would be happening, so I am afraid I cannot help you on this one.

The edits I made on Wally West that you reverted

Hello Qpalzmmzlapq, first of all, WOW, that is some username you got there. I'm not een sure how to pronounce that. And second, I'm sorry for adding those kinda angry tweaks on the Wally West page. I just love superheroes, Wally West being my favorite. But i really really REALLY hate the New-52 version of Wally West, with every fiber of my nerdy being. Why? because that is NOT Wally West. That character is a completely different, original character. They gave him Wally West's name, and nothing else. everything else is completely different in all the wrong ways. who do those New-52 idiots think their fooling? I could relate to the original Wally West, A LOT. But now i can't recognize him. And to make things worse, the CW is making their already dull and boring Fant4stic take on the Flash even worse by using the New-52 Wally West. I was trying to get this frustration out of my system by adding angry comments in the wikipedia page on Wally West. In hindsight, I probably should have written a letter to DC Comics and CW instead. Anyway, I'm sorry about that, and I'll stop doing it in the future. Bye. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.219.144.65 (talk) 01:01, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

@76.219.144.65: First, the pronunciation of my username is basically just saying each letter one by one. The reason I reverted your edits was because you should not be adding your own personal analysis into articles. –Qpalzmmzlapq T C 01:07, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

John of Gloucester Vandalism?

Hello Qpalzmmzlapq, one of my recent edits appeared to constitute vandalism on the page John of Gloucester but I don't understand why. I don't see why changing "a natural" son to "an illegitimate" son on the first line appears to violate Wikipedia's vandalism policy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.223.47.38 (talk) 18:38, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

I don't really know. "Illegitimate" seemed too negative of a word to me. I really don't know which is right because it used to say illegitimate but had said natural for years. –Qpalzmmzlapq T C 18:42, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello to you both, hope you don't mind my input. The word illegitimate is not negative in this context, and its meaning here would be recognized by more readers these days--at least in the US--than natural, which has become kind of literary. If you want to keep natural, it should be linked to Legitimacy_(family_law). Eric talk 19:47, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

charity/community shield

How come on the 2010 community shield (2010/11 season) it decides to talk about the qualifying rules in the case of the same team winning both the league & FAcup the previous season as if the rules haven't been the same in that scenario before that year? it says that Manchester United qualified to play the game "by default" when it doesn't say that on ANY other wikipedia page on previous charity/community shield's where other teams have qualified when they hadn't won the league or FAcup the previous season either i.e 1994 ManUtd won the double, doesn't say Blackburn qualified for 1994 charity shield "by default", in 1996 ManUnited won the double and again it doesn't say Newcastle qualified for the 1996 charity shield "by default", ManUnited won the treble in 1999, it doesn't say that Arsenal qualified to play in the 1999 charity shield "by default" and 2002 Arsenal won the double and it doesn't say on wikipedia's 2002 community shield page that Liverpool only qualified "by default" so really why does it say it for ManUtd in 2010????? i even tried to change this and it wouldn't allow me to, not even just to delete that pointless line or 2 and not add anything, maybe the person/people in charge hates ManUtd??

Can you just delete it please? and just have it similar to the previous one's.....(it's even more annoying the fact that Chelsea only won that 2009/10 league title instead of ManUtd because of a series of poor decisions in Chelsea's favor particularly home&away against ManUtd they got 2 lucky and undeserved narrow wins which allowed them to just sneak above and narrowly nick the title by 1 point, now I understand if you don't want to write those details down and respect all champions regardless of how they won (even though man utd never resorted to winning league title's like that) I accept that in the same way I accepted that you also wrote Chelsea were the shield holders going into the 2010 shield by beating man utd in 2009 but not writing that they only won on pens, let alone pens after a 2-2 draw where 1of Chelsea's goals came from ballack being allowed to get away with dirty foul play in a charity game and elbow evra in front of the ref who allows chelsea to play on and score in the same position of the pitch evra would've been to defend it about 15seconds after the unpunished incident yet this same ref who actually watched and allowed that to happen had earlier stopped a promising man utd attack just because ballack faked injury and also to make matters worse ballack who should've been sent off for his offense on evra takes and scores a pen in the shootout etc... i get that you don't feel the need to write all these details down but please don't aggravate it by saying ManUtd qualified by default because they deserved to be in the game a lot more than Chelsea did in fact, qualified by default doesn't do man utd justice or sound like they did deserve to be there, they won 3-1 which says it all, fair and square as well......if you still want to keep it as "they qualified by default" then do it for all the other seasons where there was a qualifier who didn't win the league or FAcup the previous season, the rules of who qualifies for the shield has been the same since way way way before 2010, why you only decided to bring up the alternative if the same teams wins both the PL & FAcup in 2010 i don't know, plus they didn't qualify by default because they qualified by normal rules, runners-up in the league play if one team did the league & fa cup double the previous season, "qualifying by default" would actually be something like 3rd place playing instead of 2nd place because the latter was disqualified for whatever reason) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.110.111.211 (talk) 05:05, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

@81.110.111.211: But wouldn't the 2010 one relate to the winners of the 2009-10 Premier League and FA Cup? I think Man U qualified because they were runners-up and Chelsea won both the League and FA Cup based on what I read. —MRD2014 (formerly Qpalzmmzlapq) T C 11:07, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Please do not delete the changes I make as I make changes only on hindu religious topics where any kind of wrong information is given on hindu religion, I promise of not giving any wrong information and I will always explain the reason of changes I make each time I make a change. The new generation of hindu religion followers get right informations from wikipedia this is why I joined wikipedia only to change the wrong informations to right informations so I hope you would support me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pallo Sharan (talkcontribs) 07:21, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

you should take Examiner.com links off the "blacklist" as it Nisan oxymoron to have a wikipage for them and not to allow their links — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:1810:3E09:6300:1D5F:774B:BCB8:A413 (talk) 18:24, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Can we talk about Huggle?

I’m reaching out to you because our logs tell us you’re a highly active Huggle user (top 20, actually). The Wikimedia Collaboration Team is researching a project that we hope will be useful to people who use Huggle and others engaged in edit-review and anti-vandalism. Using artificial intelligence programming (in ORES) and other means, we believe we can create feeds of Recent Changes that are better tailored to the type of work you do, helping you to be more effective and efficient. (The technology will have other benefits as well, which we can talk about.)

We're in the early stages of planning this and want to speak with people like yourself to better understand your work, goals and issues. If you’re interested in helping, I’d like to set up a time to meet by video conference, so that you can explain and demonstrate (via screensharing) some of your workflows, and we can ask and answer any questions.

To participate, please email the following information to me, jmatazzoni@wikimedia.org, or send it to designresearch@wikimedia.org:

  • Username
  • city/time zone
  • Best time to talk to you?
  • Email where we can reach you
  • Please use the subject line: Huggle User Conversations

Creative Commons 4.0

Hi! You have today removed some of my content on the European Extremely Large Telescope page, which was released under the Creative Commons 4.0 by the European Southern Observatory. http://www.eso.org/public/copyright/ I wanted to understand better why content under this license is removed and if it should not be, how I should proceed to making sure others know the content is CC 4.0. Also, is it ok to it add back or should I wait further instructions? Thank you very much for taking the time to explain all this! Lars Lindberg Christensen (talk) 14:17, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

@Lars Lindberg Christensen: You did provide attribution and it appears ESO lets you reproduce. I think you can re-add it. —MRD2014 (formerly Qpalzmmzlapq) T C 14:23, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

PC Keeper

The Wiki entry of PC-Keeper is missleading!

This Software works like a middle to weak trojan. it redirects (without notice) your browser via proxy (with lots of porn stuff). it´s not possible to deinstall via program manager (it needed about an hour to get rid of it) It offers free Help support but you get a bill of about 150 dollars for that phonecall! I would say it is barely legal and more a ransomware then anything else.

That´s why you should post a warning there.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.186.94.130 (talk) 02:40, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Quick note

Just wanted to let you know that Template:Nobots actually redirects to Template:Bots. Strangely enough, it accomplishes the same thing. :) Mike VTalk 01:15, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

@Mike V: I saw that, but after you put Template:Bots on there bots were still leaving messages. The syntax section in the documentation says "{{nobots}} = Ban all compliant bots (shortcut) and {{bots}} = Allow all bots (shortcut)" so that's why I changed it because it appears to say that each template has a different effect. —MRD2014 (formerly Qpalzmmzlapq) T C 01:46, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Fight for this love

The picture you refer to is Cheryl's blowing a raspberry to her assault conviction. There is blood on the walls of the public toilet, along with graffiti. It is NOT a school book. Graph paper? Nope. It's a long time Cheryl held a school book, and she would never have used graph paper. In my opinion. Cheers. 78.151.29.245 (talk) 15:25, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

@78.151.29.245: You changed the words from "textbook backdrop with doodles" to "nightclub toilet backdrop with graffiti" which sounded like possible vandalism to me. —MRD2014 T C 16:49, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
Cheryl Cole was convicted of drunkenly assaulting a nightclub toilet attendant in 2003. Do you see the connection to the picture now? 78.151.30.194 (talk) 04:31, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
@78.151.30.194: Yes but I don't see a toilet in the background. —MRD2014 T C 13:43, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
The toilet wall tiles are there to be seen, quite plainly. Those squares are not graph paper. The image is a cynical attempt to say "I was convicted of assaulting a black toilet attendant and I don't give a damn!" 78.151.30.194 (talk) 18:00, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying. —MRD2014 T C 19:53, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
