I have to admit I'm confused on one count: if it's a shared computer, why did Element014 (talk · contribs) seem to stop editing the same day this account was created? – Luna Santin (talk) 21:27, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Element014 works for the same organization as I do. We use company computers, and Wiki is a good pass time when work is slow. Element014 has been away and asked me to support his article until he got back. Until about a day before he left, I edited anonymously with just my IP

Ok. What he did is called meatpuppetry - recruiting a new account off-wiki to lend a false show of independent support. Wikipedia can't always distinguish between meatpuppetry and sockpuppetry (where a user makes another account themselves to make a false show of independent support), so they are often treated as the same. Nonetheless this is a sort of textbook case, so I believe your story. But I don't feel comfortable unblocking you to continue this illegitimate support of a friend's article. Certainly, I use wiki on a semi regular bases, the reason for creating this account wasn't only for that disscussion. I have no issue with leaving the disscussion alone. My vote has been swayed any how, I would probably say Weak Delete.

Regardless, on to new articles, or different one anyway.
