Revert

Hi. I reverted one of the changes you made to dump months. You had moved the {{wiktionary}} template to the external links section. However, that template's documentation clearly states under "Placement" that it may be placed anywhere in the article, and as it suggests I feel that it's more appropriate in the etymology section. About removing Agency Insight

I understand Agency Insight was removed for G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. This was not it's intention - would it be possible to get an idea of which bits were not suitable - most info was referenced from reputable sources - UK marketing magazines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.211.30.30 (talk) 15:49, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

OER inquiry

Hi Dewritech, I'm sending you this message because you're one of about 300 users who have recently edited an article in the umbrella category of open educational resources (OER) (or open education). In evaluating several projects we've been working on (e.g. the WIKISOO course and WikiProject Open), my colleague Pete Forsyth and I have wondered who chooses to edit OER-related articles and why. Regardless of whether you've taken the WIKISOO course yourself - and/or never even heard the term OER before - we'd be extremely grateful for your participation in this brief, anonymous survey before 27 April. No personal data is being collected. If you have any ideas or questions, please get in touch. My talk page awaits. Thanks for your support! - Sara FB (talk) 20:38, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

speedy

As reviewing administrator, I removed the speedy-no context for National Students’ League The criterion only applies if one cannot tell what the article is about--see WP:CSD ; in this case, tho there is no text, the infobox explains it adequately to pass speedy. The article of course needs references and fuller writing DGG ( talk ) 00:09, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a political party and its infobox contains no information on National Students’ League , so it still might be eligible for speedy.-- Dewritech (talk) 18:38, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
I think you are probably right. The obvious course is to redirect it to the party if it is mentioned in that article DGG ( talk ) 00:48, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
That article only mentions Insaf Student Federation as student organization.-- Dewritech (talk) 17:27, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
What I am unclear about is whether they are two different names, whether there are two different student organizations affiliated to the same party, or, most likely, that the contributor copied the infobox from a related article and never went any further (this is a fairly common occurrence). The only thing I can find for this one is a facebook page dating from 2009. The only active student party I can find with that name is in Indonesia. One obvious course is to delete it by A7, and I have done so, for there is no relevant information in the article to show significance. Deleting as empty would do also, and I suppose no context was also, but the main point is to get it deleted. I apologize for the fuss about it, you were correct enough in the fist place. I was curious about your repositioning of some of the citations, was it something I missed? RegardsKeith-264 (talk) 18:58, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

Repositioning done by AWB due to numbers.-- Dewritech (talk) 19:10, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
I don't know what "numbers" means. The first citations were for the first clause in the sentence....Keith-264 (talk) 20:59, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
References put in chronological order. Here an example: old "...opposition from the Panzer Lehr Division.[11][10]" to new "...opposition from the Panzer Lehr Division.[10][11]".-- Dewritech (talk) 18:01, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
I fear I may have caused some confusion. The previous edit had citations in mid-sentence, which I moved to the end so the first citation is for the early part of the sentence. Swapping them round maintins the citations but in the wrong order, though I'm not sure if it matters. RegardsKeith-264 (talk) 10:46, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

I already had multiple reliable sources, I will find more to make it qualify. Praxis EMR

Hi Dewritech, I see that you have tagged my recent page for deletion, and I wanted to offer up my opinion on why it deserves to remain on Wikipedia.

The page is written in a neutral voice, aiming to describe the intentions of Praxis and it's features. Multiple sources not linked to Praxis in any way have been cited; the only information acquired from the Praxis company is that which describes how the product works. In addition, there are Wikipedia pages for other types of EMRs, such as Practice Fusion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Practice_Fusion) and Allscripts (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allscripts). In fact, Praxis is perhaps more neutral than the Practice Fusion article because, though it goes more in depth on the way the product works (which is reasonable, since Praxis has a fundamentally different operating system than other EMRs), it does not mention any awards or attempt to persuade readers in its favor, as does the Practice Fusion article.

Additionally, the Praxis EMR article serves as a supplement to an already existing article about Concept Processing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concept_Processing). Praxis is one of few software programs to use this technology, and goes more in depth on the explanation of how Concept Processing is utilized in the medical record system.

I am also happy to edit the article if you have specific points where you think it sounds biased. The intention of the article is to inform users about one type of EMR, as many EMRs (like the ones mentioned above) also have Wikipedia pages.

Speedy deletion declined: Top Choice Awards

Hello Dewritech. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Top Choice Awards, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There is some "credible indication of the importance or significance of the subject" here, but this appears to be a local business award. WP:AFD would be the better forum to address concerns about its notability. Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 10:46, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

The article Salvo (artist) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. bpage (talk) 03:27, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Since I noticed that you had edited the article at one time, I thought, out of courtesy toward you, to let you know what was going on with the review process. I meant no offense and communicated with you assuming, in good faith, that you and other editors of the article may have an interest in this discussion. I wish you the best. I believe that this article could be pretty great, it's too bad it has no reliable sources.

Legal Aid in New Zealand

You have reverted the edits I made with the comment "No imp". What does that mean please?

The material was removed in accordance with the label on the page that the article is too technical for readers to understand and needs to comply with wikipedia's Manual of Style. The deleted Acts are all worthy of a mention in the History section but, as seperate sections, are entirely unneccesary. They go into far too much detail which is not helpful for the New Zealand reader who wants to know how the system currently works.

My intention is to add more straight forward material about how the system currently works in due course. I would like to revert your edits if you are OK with that and wait till I have finished working on the page. Outsidetherocks (talk) 04:08, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

Contested deletion for the Collin Croome article

This article should not be deleted for lack of asserted importance or promotional refs because

  1. Mr. Croome is a public person and relevant in his industry, where he was one of the first (digital marketing) entrepreneurs more than 24 years ago.
  2. He wrote and published several books and audio/video publications.
  3. He regularly appears on public TV, in radio-shows and print-media, like magazine and newspapers.
  4. He is consulted by public and private media, the German government and businesses for his expertise and opinion.
  5. He is a lecturer for the acclaimed Mediadesign Hochschule in Munich, Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin (HSB) and the University of the German Speakers Association.
  6. Since more than 20 years he gives public speeches on digital marketing and new technologies trends.

Why does the article sound "spammy"? The self published Apple letter is an official signed Apple document. Mr. Croome has not "some media appearances in Social Media", but regular presence on public TV and radio.

Everything is referenced within the Wikipedia article and below…

We would be more than happy to change and fix any content, if it does not comply with the Wikipedia rules. Please stop deleting the entry. Thank you very much!

His Klout-score (63) is showing his influence in social media.

I will make sure that Wikipedia is seen as removing corrected information on marine life and replacing with inaccurate information, And worst yet by someone who has never had the ability to even see the species.

I have 20 years experience with this species. I grew up on the rivers of Va where this species was the #2 catch next to #1 croakers. If anyone is qualified to make this change I would say that I am.

Also to follow your guidelines I have sourced several reliable websites of which 1 belongs to the Smithsonian, Others belong to the respective states in which this animal / fish is native to.

I reverted the article to the author's preferred version, notably deleting your db-test tag. Although the article had a few test elements, it seemed to me to be a serious article. The author removed the tag with the test elements, but the removal of the tag prompted another editor to revert all the changes. —teb728 t c 03:01, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Regarding Spot Fish / Spot Croaker - speedy deletion tag

You have tagged the corrected page Spot Fish for speedy deletion, The reason I created Spot Fish page was to correct the name of the fish, It is not in any way shape or form known as a croaker, i have submitted information supporting this yet you blatantly ignored this information. I have listed the reference information below

http://www.mrc.virginia.gov/vswft/Angler_Guide/angler_web_guide.pdf - PAGE 73 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cheatspace (talkcontribs) 21:14, 27 February 2015 (UTC) http://vafwis.org/fwis/booklet.html?&bova=010246&Menu=_.Taxonomy&version=16493 (linked from the Virginia Wildlife Game & Fisheries main website) http://www.chesapeakebay.net/fieldguide/critter/spot (Chesapeake Bay Foundation) Brought this from spot croaker page where I have been removing falsehoods and correcting facts. Please reference official state owned or university owned pages or books where any information added was taken from.

Official references for the reason of removing Spot Croaker page and updating as spot fish are listed below

http://www.sms.si.edu/irlspec/Leiosto_xanthu.htm
http://vafwis.org/fwis/booklet.html?&bova=010246&Menu=_.Taxonomy&version=16493

http://www.dnr.sc.gov/marine/species/spot.html
http://www.ncbeaches.com/Features/Sealife/Fish/ - see Spot

(IN NONE OF THESE IS IT CALLED A CROAKER - IT DOES NOT CROAK) To lable this fish the Spot Croaker is to incorrectly list the species.

I will continue to add more facts and correct incorrect data from previous article

Contested deletion[edit] This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (your reason here) --Cheatspace (talk) 21:02, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

The original page labled Spot Croaker was full of incorrect information, Spot fish are not croaker's they are a type of Drum. I have included official state / federal documentation supporting this on the talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cheatspace (talkcontribs) 21:08, 27 February 2015 (UTC) Cheatspace

FYI

Hello D. I saw the AIV report that you filed for the IP that is removing whole sections of the Yosef Ben-Jochannan article. Even if (hopefully when) the IP gets blocked people using those IPv6 IPs are able to rotate them and, in my experience, can go right back to editing the article. I went ahead and filed a WP:RFPP in case that happens. I hope that is okay with you. If not my apologies and please feel free to add a comment there stating why you don't think protection is a good idea. Thanks for your vigilance at that article and your efforts here at WikiP. Conflict of Interest Declaration

I'd like to inquire if you have any conflict of interest that you should declare on Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg. If you do, you should make them clear at Talk:Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg. -Thucydides411 (talk) 02:49, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

I only have contflicts with the interests of editors who are not adhering to rules and policies - or advocating nonadherence as you did at Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg.-- Dewritech (talk) 19:34, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
It does look like you've been writing promotional articles for Horasis. Is this correct? Are you writing those articles in exchange for monetary compensation? Are you sure that there are no other conflicts of interest you have when it comes to Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg? If there are conflicts of interest, it is important that you declare them. -Thucydides411 (talk) 17:02, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Questions related to my first edits on Horasis in 2010 were discussed here.-- Dewritech (talk) 18:59, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Victoria's Secret

Someone keeps adding Elsa Hosk as an Angel, because her agency said she is, over six months ago ( http://www.imgmodels.com/new-york/women/model/portfolio?mid=10461 ) and yet VS never has reffered to her as one (see the list of the current/recent former spokesmodels here: http://vsallaccess.victoriassecret.com/supermodels/ ). So I removed incorrect information. Please do not re-add it back. Thx 86.77.149.118 (talk) 19:26, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Amaya Gaming Group refers to the previous name of the corporation (changed legally in Nov 2014) Changes are being made as content was added to Amaya Inc. page newly created to replace.

You may want to study WP:MOVE.-- Dewritech (talk) 18:59, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

I had already completed all the required edits before you (and then someone else) started undoing them. Amaya Inc. is the current name. Amaya Gaming Group is the former name. Not sure why you are undoing edits that are required. am i missing something? Equitax (talk)

Again, I strongly recommend to study WP:MOVE.-- Dewritech (talk) 19:07, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Wykop.pl

Hello, I undid last revision in this page, as it is still being vandalized. Since November, this article was still edited by anonymous trolls (see [1]). Section "Controversies" about films about John Paul II should be deleted in this site. These films weren't made by Wykop, but by karachan.org, a local mutation of 4chan. Some users of Wykop with its chairman, Michal Bialek, checked authors of these films and committed it to prosecutors, so users of karachan.org started to sign the films with Wykop.pl logo. Link about it in Polish [2] Links used in this section are not reliable - none links directly to wykop.pl, one [3] links for a blog, other - to "films" [4]. Everyone can make and post into YouTube a film containing e.g. Wikipedia logo - then we will talk about controversy of Wikipedia? Looking in history of IPs, they often troll in their editions and reasons of editions often contain Polish vulgar words. As you can notice on revision history, due to persistent trolling edition of this site it was blocked since December 2014 for 3 months, but after this time finished, it again become started to vandalizing. So, I think that this site should be again blocked for non-registered IPs, but, at this time, forever, which I requested for [5]. Regards, --CzakNoris (talk) 19:30, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Discuss on Talk:Wykop.pl.-- Dewritech (talk) 17:05, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Reason for Undo At List of Ice Age characters

I redid the deletion at List of Ice Age characters, as, for once, the IP was correct about it being original research. I would have wrote a confirming blurb in the edit summary, but my finger slipped while typing.--Mr Fink (talk) 17:06, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Christophe Pourny

I understand. Trying to " un " orphan the article about Christophe Pourny with external links as advised. What do you suggest? I do happen to be an expert in antiques restoration and the author of the most relevant reference book about it in the U.S. I am not looking for any business from the link; rather the opposite; but would love the link. Your input greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Dewritech, I am actually writing it right now, so please remove speed deletion. On a related note, I am having a problem with uploading the logo because I made too few edits in enwiki. Hello, Dewritech - concerning the Hernando de Soto article, I removed the other references because 1) the newspaper articles cited have been overturned or retreated from by the most recent article listed in the text, and 2) the alleged article cited has not been peer-reviewed and appears to be based on false information, in that it creates the impression that Mr. White worked at the Richardson site. Mr. White has never dug at or investigated the site.138.210.111.102 (talk) 16:14, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Changes restored to Wiki page...

Hello, I recently made edits to the Wikipedia page of my client Courtney Stodden. You have restored the old content which she does not want on her Wikipedia page.

You wrote: I noticed that you recently removed some content from Courtney Stodden without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

Please can we get the changes I made back on her Wikipedia page asap or can you let me know how we can go about getting her requested updated info on the page. She also wants the image removed and replaced with a different image which I'd also like to do asap.

Hope to hear back from you soon.

Ethnic conflict article

I removed several paragraphs from this article which were entirely unrelated to the topic - they talked about constructivism in education, which is entirely different to constructivism in the study of ethnic conflict. I explained this on the talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Ethnic_conflict#Constructivism_section. Deutsche Reichsbahn

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Deutsche Reichsbahn shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hello Dewritech! I made som changes that you have reverted at Jorge Horacio Brito page that you have reverted. If you see the Talk Section on Jorge Horacio Brito you will find out that the information that I have removed is fake, unsourced and biased. Please, let me keep it. Many thanks. --Superagente86 (talk) 18:15, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

No removal of sourced content.-- Dewritech (talk) 18:16, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

It seems that you did not read anything on the Dicussion page and you still say that I am vandalzing Wikipedia. Please, take two minutes to read the information that was erased. They are considering Wikileaks as a source? Can you explain me how can you allow that? --Superagente86 (talk) 18:28, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello Dewritech! I saw that you have undone some constructive changes made by Superagente86. The information he erased is unreliable (even the sourced) so he have improved the article instead of vandalize it. I invite you to read the Talk page so you can read what kind of information you have kept when you undid the changes. --Danielseo451 (talk) 18:59, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

May 2015

Greetings Dewritech! Thank you for the edits you made on the above page. You will notice the user again reverted your edits to remove the sourced content. Im a little concerned that there are three users attempting to make the same edits using the same arguments. I try to always assume good faith, but a wondering if this is suspicious enough activity to suspect someone is abusing multiple accounts to win an edit war. Thoughts? DaltonCastle (talk) 03:20, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello DaltonCastle! I agree with you suspicions.-- Dewritech (talk) 14:58, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Dewritech, I can't believe that you still insist on removing the changed I made without reading the article, de Talk Page and my explanation. I don't know why but DaltonCastle has a suspicious interest in leaving fake, unreliable sourced and biased content in Wikipedia. That is why I made that changes and why many other users had supported me. If you look the contributions made by DaltonCastle you will realized that they are all biased and based on not proven facts! Please, take a few minutes to analyze the changes and discuss them on the Talk Page. Greetings, --Superagente86 (talk) 20:30, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Those are false allegations. I provided sourced content that was removed by three editors who have the same arguments. These also are not conspiracy theories, they are provided in reliable sources indicating there is sufficient notability to include on the page. Dewritech, can we enlist the help of some other editors? I once again see more info has been pulled down. I am trying my best to assume good faith, but it is becoming increasingly difficult with the potential socking occurring. DaltonCastle (talk) 01:29, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

If we talk about good faith I believe that it's you the user who should not be trusted on. Many of your contributions that you did are based on media articles that clomplaint felonies that have not been proven by any judge yet. This kind of information is not supported in Wikiepdia because are not real facts. You can put this information here when a judge condemn them for any felony, but now it's not serious to write about this in Wikipedia. That is why I made those changes and erased that kind of content. Come on DaltonCastle! You know that Wikipedia does not support this kind of information, but only but Argentineans understand it because they are involved in daily information. I hope you understand. Greetings! --Superagente86 (talk) 11:34, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Those sources are reliable. Any page in all of Wikipedia would include notable details if they were covered in reliable sources. Removing these details is cherrypicking to avoid details certain people do not like. That does not improve Wikipedia. Especially given that much of the information you added uses unreliable and primary sources to add puffery to the page. Do you think its fair to go against your own arguments to add the information you want on the page? DaltonCastle (talk) 17:48, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Let's discuss on Talk:Jorge Horacio Brito.-- Dewritech (talk) 16:11, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Thanks re: VeggieTales

Hey there, thanks for your assist here. For background, many articles related to VeggieTales are routinely vandalized. In the reverted content you'll notice absurd credits like "Cowboy Carrots with Light Blue Kerchief and Green Cowboy Hat as Themselves". These "characters" are entirely fabricated. My suspicion is that some kid came up with names for them and is trying to make them stick. The descriptions appear to exist almost solely at Wikia.
