A Halibut for you - enjoy!

NancyHeise talk 02:31, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you so much. I uploaded it at Halibut page. DockuHi 02:36, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you, I've put up a flag to replace the PaK page with the draft I created on the PaK talk page. =Nichalp «Talk»= 06:56, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Halibut explained

The halibut pictures are all of the same species. Halibut are flat bottom fish - the underside is white and the upper side is brown. Both eyes of the fish are on the upper side because it rests on the ocean floor on its underside. NancyHeise talk 23:02, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

That explains. Thanks. DockuHi 23:33, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Racism faced by Bihari community in India

I have changed the title of the article closer to it's original title "Racism faced by Bihari community in India" because that's what the article is about. Manoj nav (talk) 09:22, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

It is a case of original research if you cant show any reliable refernce. DockuHi 14:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Actually I did not like the word "distress"... and btw its good to see that someone is actually trying to improve the POV, SYN, OR article. Best of Luck! --KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 17:55, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I agree. I felt the same after I named it into "distress" and that is why renamed it into "treatment". I guess we should work together and find a more appropriate title. Thanks for the support on improving the art. DockuHi

Keep it up!

I, KnowledgeHegemonyPart2, award user Docku for his patience and hard work on the article Article with undecided name!!!. These Working Man's Beer Cans, (which have images of Barnstar's at the bottom) are for being excellent competition, a painful deletionist, a mentor, for surviving the stress (of the edit wars, my contradictory opinions and point of views) and getting the article to a great start! Cheers & Please don't drink & drive!
Thanks a lot. Appreciate the appreciation. DockuHi 22:54, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the information

Thank you for the information. Manoj nav (talk) 12:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Sean Hannity

There is no reference. It is automatic that if parents or paternal/maternal grandparents immigrate to the united States from Ireland (and in Sean's case it is both) Irish citizenship is automatic. My parents were Irish emigrants, thus automatically giving me citizenship...same holds true to the likes of Mel Gibson, and Denis Leary. You can research it if you like. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.227.127.171 (talk) 17:19, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Racism faced by Bihari Community in India

I have edited the article "Racism faced by Bihari Community in India" a bit and changed the title back to Racism faced by Bihari Community in India, based on the discussions here and here. Kindly discuss if you disagree. Manoj nav (talk) 09:51, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

My response in the article talk page. Docku:“what up?” 17:49, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
I have done a few edits like -
  • Changed the line in the introduction - "Bihari communities living in other states have been subjected to a growing degree of prejudice and violence." to "Bihari communities living in other states have been subjected to a growing degree of racial discrimination, prejudice and violence." It's supported by references, which are secondary sources.
  • Changed the line in the introduction - "Biharis are often looked down upon" to "Biharis are often looked down upon and their accent is ridiculed."
  • Added comment by Indian journalist, Vir Sanghvi.
I have added few more references and will keep adding references. Manoj nav (talk) 17:17, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Kensplanet for inviting me. I have thought about and been asked to join other projects and have always decided not to do so for a few reasons (which I believe will change in future). I appreciate you asking me. You will certainly see me making minor contributions on and off Docku:“what up?” 21:13, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

I like his style of writing and was surprised to find such a well written article about him on Wikipedia. Good job! --KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 16:55, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, My contribution wasnt much in that. I do share your opinion on his writings. I started reading his new (well, one year old now:)) book, it is great. Docku:“what up?” 16:59, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Violence against Hindi-speaking migrants in India

I think you need to read WP:NPOV more then I do.

I am worried about edits like these

The sub-headings which gives eye catching view and better understanding of derogatory remarks made by people holding key positions in India like ministers, people occupying gov. offices, journalists, politicians etc. have been removes, so that the para becomes unreadable and looks lengthy.

I have already discussed this with you. All those sub-headings would be expended in time to come.

Manoj nav (talk) 18:26, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

These edits were not done by me but I do support it though. If you do not attempt to read up and conform to WP policies, believe me, you are on your way to get blocked again soon. Docku:“what up?” 18:30, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Believe me edits like this is not going to help. I think we need to list it here - WP:RM. Manoj nav (talk) 18:40, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Inside Baseball

Actually, you're statement wasn't the best example of "inside baseball." It's more that the response to it that I had in mind would be; detail that gets people off topic. "Inside baseball" basically means that someone starts talking about the detailed finer points of some topic which is either not the main point of the discussion or not what other people in a discussion are interested in talking about. I used to play competitive badminton. Say, some people in a small social gathering in India are saying what a fine thing it is that Prakash Padukone has been elected to the World Badminton Hall of Fame. Most have only a passing interest in sports in general and badminton in particular. But one badminton zealot in the group starts going into detail about Padukone's career, his technique, his training, his greatest matches, etc. That would be "inside baseball" except in this case it's inside badminton.Cheers! Badmintonhist (talk) 03:17, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Re:

Ah! That's quite unfortunate for him :( I see he doesn't want help, then. ;) I'm still going to enforce policies on him, though, because I think he doesn't get it. Ehh. Thanks anyway for noticing! ;) Much Appreciation, BlackPearl14[talkies!contribs!] 04:09, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Young Wikiport

Well, that's just me being me. Remember I'm old enough to remember Prakash Padukone. In fact, I'm several years older than he is. I figured from the relatively naive-sounding, fresh-faced verbiage that Wikiport used that he is probably no more than half my age, but I could be wrong. By the way, since I answered your question on "inside baseball" I've got one for you. Would it be bad form now to refer to you, or anyone else as a "pukka sahib"? Badmintonhist (talk) 18:33, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

I was just pondering for a minute on the edit summary from Blaxthos. Well, you are a smart man. Apparently, you know a lot about India. Nevertheless, pls call me Docku:“what up?” 18:50, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
