Disney Channel: January 6, Nickelodeon: January 7 and 8

At a guess, what do you think the ratings will be for today's new episodes of Liv and Maddie, Girl Meets World, and K.C. Undercover? Amaury (talk | contribs) 04:19, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

With the huge time change for these shows, being shifted 2 to 4 hours earlier (plus the day change in the case of K.C. Undercover), I honestly don't know how the ratings will go. Nor do I understand the rationale for the time change. The announcement of Girl Meets World's end on Disney and the writers urging the fans to watch the final episodes perhaps may boost the number slightly for "World Meets Girl", hopefully above the all-time series lows with "Hollyworld" (1.21) and "A Christmas Maya" (1.20), but I don't see it cracking 1.5 million. Liv and Maddie has been struggling since the start of the season, having nowhere near the numbers they had even in late season 3; probably will be in the 1.0 to 1.2 million range, but would not be surprised to see it under 1 million. K.C. Undercover with the day change, and with a later time than the other two on Friday night (7pm U.S. Eastern time), might fare a bit better. They are getting close to their season finale with Erica and Abby in the episode like they were earlier in the season; with Girl Meets World as the lead-in, it's possible K.C. could go above 1.5 million if they keep a strong GMW audience. Just my guesses. ;) MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:55, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
One theory I have in regard to their changed times is that Disney Channel is attempting to boost their ratings from their all-time lows between November 18 and December 2, 2016: Girl Meets World at 1.21 million and 1.20 million, respectively—even the previous low of 1.42 million for "Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York" wasn't that bad—Liv and Maddie at 1.12 million, 1.24 million, and 1.09 million, respectively, and K.C. Undercover at 1.04 million, though K.C. Undercover has been kind of jumping all over the place in the second season, and I'm guessing part of it has to do with the Watch Disney site, so hopefully they count those ratings. And since Liv and Maddie was already planned to properly end after season four, I don't think the ratings there are as big of a deal, good or bad, though in my personal opinion, I think the first three episodes of its fourth season have decent ratings, and you even said so yourself when I asked you about its season four premiere ratings. Bizaardvark also had its day and time moved, so we'll see how it fares when its episodes resume on Friday. There's also still no information on Stuck in the Middle's second season premiere or more new episodes of Bunk'd's second season, which has also sort of been struggling, but I think it's faring a bit better, so I wonder what's going on there. Hopefully nothing bad and Bunk'd as well as Best Friends Whenever get a third season. And as for Nickelodeon, I don't think we really have to "worry" about their ratings for yesterday's new episodes of The Thundermans, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, and School of Rock, new episodes of Crashletes and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life that will be airing later today, and of course future episodes since it didn't seem to get hit by whatever "curse" hit Disney Channel toward the end of 2016. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:20, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Michael (and IJBall and Nyuszika7h, if you guys are interested), the numbers are in Archived 2017-01-10 at the Wayback Machine! What do you think? They all made the top 50. Amaury (talk | contribs) 21:06, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

As I thought, no worries for Nickelodeon with The Thundermans, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, and School of Rock on Saturday and Crashletes and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life on Sunday. They all made the top 50, except Jagger Eaton's Mega Life which just fell one short at #51. School of Rock was a bit low, but still did better in the total viewers department than Disney Channel between November 18 and December 2, 2016—it was just a little short in the 18–49 range—and it wasn't hit by a "curse," and those are about the expected ratings for Crashletes and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life since they're funny videos and documentaries on Jagger's life, respectively, and not sitcoms. I remember reading that Jagger Eaton's Mega Life premiere ratings were actually quite strong. So for Disney Channel on Friday, we have an average of 0.28 million viewers for the 18–49 range and 1.39 million for the total viewers. For Nickelodeon on Saturday, we have an average of 0.28 million viewers for the 18–49 range and 1.57 for the total viewers. For Nickelodeon on Sunday, we have an average of 0.19 million viewers for the 18–49 and 0.87 for the total viewers. So Disney Channel on Friday tied with Nickelodeon on Saturday for 18–49 viewers, but Nickelodeon on Saturday did better on total viewers than Disney Channel on Friday did. If you combine Saturday and Sunday for Nickelodeon, you get an average of 0.24 million viewers for the 18–49 range and 1.29 million for the total viewers. So, overall, Nickelodeon had lower average ratings than Disney Channel on Friday did, but taking into account that Nickelodeon has never had Sunday premieres before and that those are about the expected ratings for Sunday's airings, Nickelodeon overall still did better than Disney Channel on Friday, in my opinion.

Hope you don't mind if I turn this into a weekly thing for just something fun to do, but first, again, what are you thoughts on last week after what you predicted? And now what do you predict for today's new episodes of Liv and Maddie, Girl Meets World, K.C. Undercover, and Bizaardvark, taking into account last week? (Not including Bizaardvark as it didn't resume new episodes until this week.) Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:19, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

For Disney Channel - January 6, 2017 vs. Nickelodeon - January 7 and 8, 2017, Disney Channel won the averages for the 18–49 range and total viewers by numbers and technicality; however, as I mentioned, because of the nature of Crashletes and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life, those are actually fair ratings for them, and so, in a way, Nickelodeon still won on the averages for the 18–49 range and total viewers even if didn't actually win, if that makes sense.

Predictions for this week's Liv and Maddie, Girl Meets World, and Bizaardvark, my good man? Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:00, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

Can't say for sure how my predictions will fare this time compared to when I did them about two weeks ago. I'm thinking all three shows will see an increase from last week's numbers (L&M 1.05 million, GMW 1.36, Biz 0.95). With the huge Boy Meets World reunion on "Girl Meets Goodbye", I'm thinking GMW may potentially have its greatest showing for the entire season 3, or at least since "Girl Meets I Do", which had Feeny in it (last time it had 2 million viewers for a first-run episode). I'd be really stretching it if it were to draw as many viewers as the premiere back in 2014 (5.16 million), but that had the DCOM Zapped preceding it (around 5.7 million for that). No such lead-in this time, and the show has gone thru the natural trend of losing viewers over time. Still, I could see the finale draw more than 2 million viewers, if not 2.5 million (season 3 high is 2.23 million for "Girl Meets High School Part 2"). Bizaardvark may benefit some from GMW, perhaps drawing between 1.25 and 1.5 million. Liv and Maddie has seen some fluctuation in the past couple of weeks, 1.42 million for "Standup-a-Rooney" and 1.05 million for "Roll Model-a-Rooney", and how "Falcon-a-Rooney" will do is up in the air. As the lead-in to "Girl Meets Goodbye", it likely may have drawn in more viewers just ahead of that, but I'm not sure it will do better than "Standup-a-Rooney"; I'll say around 1.4 to 1.5 million for that one. I'm going to go ahead and place this here. With Girl Meets World having finished its run—with a decent 1.64 million viewers, I might add, though those total viewers would have been better for the in-between episodes than for the finale, notably "Girl Meets Hollyworld," "Girl Meets a Christmas Maya," and "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen," but the numbers were still decent and just a little shy of the season two finale viewers—how do you see Liv and Maddie and Bizaardvark doing from Friday and onward? (And Friday is Bizaardvark's season one finale.) Also, how do you see Stuck in the Middle season two starting out? Strong? Good/Decent? Poor? (I'm not including Bunk'd yet since its next episode is one day short of a month away—30 days.)

Also, somewhat on the topic of renewals, seeing this makes me happy. (Do you watch that series?) And based on how The Thundermans has been doing, I can see it getting a fifth season, making it one of Nickelodeon's longest-running series and tying it with iCarly which had five seasons. For Disney Channel - January 27, 2017 vs. Nickelodeon - January 28 and 29, 2017, Disney Channel won the average for the 18–49 range by numbers and technicality; however, as I mentioned, because of the nature of Crashletes and Jagger Eaton's Mega Life, those are actually fair ratings for them, and so, in a way, Nickelodeon still won on the average for the 18–49 range even if didn't actually win, if that makes sense.

Math, as always, should be good. Amaury (talk | contribs) 03:08, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

Updated with Disney Channel. Stuck in the Middle did decent. Liv and Maddie... well... Amaury (talk | contribs) 21:16, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Updated with Nickelodeon, where everything did great even with the slight drop in ratings for Saturday. As for Sunday, remember that those are fair ratings for those series because of the types of series they are. And while I'm only comparing to last week for Nickelodeon on Saturday, just for the sake of it, The Thundermans dropped 0.03 (9%) in 18–49 (0.34 down to 0.31) and 0.19 (11%) in total viewers (1.719/1.72 down to 1.529/1.53) compared to its last new episode on February 4. Those are still good ratings, though, at least compared to the shit Disney Channel has been getting. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:24, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
