Incorrect information, needs better sources.[edit]

This article's sources are pointed to in the web archive, which has past works. Also, the author of the linked book is not from the Swaminarayan Sampradaya, and I am. Please use better sources, like https://baps.org/ and https://swaminarayan.org/. Also, as of now, a new Aarti, composed by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, is in use, called Jay Swaminarayan Jay Akshar Purshottam.Eshaan11 (talk) 13:33, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The existence of a new entity doesn't mean that the information about the old entity should be removed. This article and articles linking to it may need to be updated to indicate that it is no longer in active use, but that doesn't necessitate that the page be deleted. If Jay Swaminarayan Jay Akshar Purshottam is notable, a page for it may need to be created, including references. Ideally, there would also be sources to add to this page to indicate that it is not in use or to support deletion if you think that the page should not exist. —Ost (talk) 22:13, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ost There has been substantial POV pushing in this category in favor of one branch within the entire faith. Please see NPOV page and the sockpuppet investigation. Great job preventing a delete attempt. This ritual is still used by the other branches in the faith but not by the one getting the pov-push. Just wanted to leave a note here for future reference. Off Wiki Links[edit]

@Gurukulusa: Hi. This page was recently added to a list of pages targeted by biased accounts pushing a POV narrative. See the above section entry. I undid your most recent change because the links you posted are external to Wikipedia. "See Also" is generally for other wiki articles that are related to the current one but also, the links you posted don't add any encyclopedic value to the page or the pages content. I should also add, external links can be added under an External Links section similar too 1. However in this case, an external link to one branches youtube channel can turn into a controversial topic and since copyright can be an issue, I advise against the youtube link because other branches will want their video and could be a topic of edit warring for little value add.
