Niar (Persian: نيار), also Romanized as Nīār and Niyar,[3] was a village in, and the former capital of, Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Ardabil County,[4] Ardabil province, Iran.
At the 2006 census, its population was 8,405 in 2,218 households.[2]
