I'm a bit young to drink, but the thought is much appreciated! SkipperlyLet's chat! 23:59, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Skipperly, you are invited to the Teahouse![edit]

Teahouse logo

Hi Skipperly! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Come join other new editors at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a space where new editors can get help from other new editors. These editors have also just begun editing Wikipedia; they may have had similar experiences as you. Come share your experiences, ask questions, and get advice from your peers. I hope to see you there! I JethroBT (I'm a Teahouse host)

Adopt-a-user[edit]

Hello. This is a courtesy note to inform you that I have removed the "adopt me" template from your User page. You have not been active on Wikipedia for some time (April 2017). Its presence misleads others into thinking that you are still seeking to be adopted and to be guided by another editor under the Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user scheme. Obviously, you are completely free to reinsert it if you return to active editing and want to seek adoption again. (Just 'undo' my edit in the history of your user page to put it back). For simple questions about editing, just ask any of us at The Teahouse. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 13:28, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay[edit]

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
