Recent changes[edit]
Adding the Cleanup red links template like this, this, and this is truly not constructive, especially since you have not applied it to the equivalent existing pages for other years, which have existed for years now. It's a clear case of micromanaging recent changes and it just adds an eyesore template to otherwise pleasant articles. Easier to critique than to create, I suppose. I am not "embarrassed" at all, because your past contributions do not take away from the fact that your addition of the template in these instances was, to put it bluntly, the lazy way out; it created more work instead of directly solving the perceived issue. If you tout your past contributions so proudly, I find it all the more ironic that you didn't put your money where your mouth is, in this case. - I have now applied the tag to all years; they all suffer from the same problem. I hope you did not get the impression that I was picking on you, Rowing007. When a new page of this nature gets set up, there is always going to be a link included to a page that I once wrote, and hence I get a notification. Guideline and policy news
- Phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship review has concluded. Several proposals have passed outright and will proceed to implementation, including creating a discussion-only period (3b) and administrator elections (13) on a trial basis. Other successful proposals, such as creating a reminder of civility norms (2), will undergo further refinement in Phase II. Proposals passed on a trial basis will be discussed in Phase II, after their trials conclude. Further details on specific proposals can be found in the full report.
Technical news
- Partial action blocks are now in effect on the English Wikipedia. This means that administrators have the ability to restrict users from certain actions, including uploading files, moving pages and files, creating new pages, and sending thanks. T280531
