Q1 reference

Hey mate, I'm curious as to why you deleted this linkin the Q1 (building) article citing "discussion forums are not suitable references." This was not placed as a reference, nor did it claim to be reference material, but instead as an external link. Given the forum site contains accurate information, recent news regarding the building and further images of the building, it should be allowed to be an "see also" or a "further reading" link. I'm, of the opinion the forum provides a very useful resource to those who wish to find out more about the building. I quote 480 Queen Street as a reference where a forum is also used as an external link as further information!

Casino stub

You made the Casino article a stub. Just curious to know to what you think needs to be added to the towns' article to make it more encyclopedic. Let me know. Peter1968 06:05, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

HEY ARNZY

I assume you're a Q-lander. Nice to see we're not all the 'banana-benders' that jokelore makes of us. ThirdEchelon 12:24, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I just had a read on this article, and I was impressed with the recent re-write and referencing of the article, have you ever thought about getting a peer-review for this article, then maybe consider nominating as a good article?, which is the stepping stone towards FA. --Arnzy (talk contribs) 14:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I will definitely do that - I think FA status is quite possible now - but I'd like to finish the article first. There's still a section or two that I haven't completed yet. JROBBO 20:48, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

My RfA

Thanks for your moral support in my RfA. I withdrew when it became clear that the uphill climb had crossed the snowball threshold, but I appreciate your support and the process gave me some good ideas for other ways I can be contributing to Wikipedia. I'll work on the areas that came up in the discussion, and try again after I've gained wider experience. -FisherQueen (Talk) 12:24, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Anzac Square Arcade

I am entirely aware of verification of articles being requested and that it is helpful — I do not need instruction on this.

However, in the case of some articles, knowing exactly where to find such verification information is another matter. Perhaps you could please help by informing me where I am to find such references (about the Anzac Square Arcade - which is actually what I was attempting to find out from Longhair), or perhaps you might like to help out with the relevant information, because I do not know where to check for it in this instance. Reading and understanding the rules is all very well — knowing where to find the information requested can be a problem for anyone. Figaro 03:20, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

I've tried to address your concerns. Nobleeagle [TALK] [C] 21:59, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Can you have a third look at the article? Your comments in its FAC have been addressed.--Thugchildz

It's pretty clear that the super 6 wont continue into the 2007 cwc in the next paragraph. But your comments about it "needing" sources have been addressed, please have a look. Anyways just curious, you're not really a cricket fan, are you?--Thugchildz

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Maroochy.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Maroochy.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melbourne Airport (Air NZ Destinations)

Hi there

Sorry, could I just clarify something please regarding Air New Zealand's flights from Melbourne to San Fransisco and Rarotonga.

I had a look at the like you posted regarding the Airports WikiProject destinations listing guide for direct and non-stop flights. I believe the NZ flights from MEL to SFO and RAR fits the direct flight requirement because they maintain the same flight number throughout, are operated by the same aircraft and passengers may disembark at both the intermediate and final destinations.

NZ008 MEL-AKL-SFO daily B777 (begins March 25 2007) NZ842 MEL-CHC-RAR every Friday A320 (begins March 30 2007)

This information is taken from both Air New Zealand and Melbourne Airport's websites.

Cheers

MarineBaron

You may want to weigh in at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2007 April 15#List of songs containing covert references to real musicians, since you were involved in a previous discussion of this article. - Jmabel | Talk 05:19, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

United at Suvarnabhumi

Hello! I recently removed San Francisco from United's destination list at Suvarnabhumi Airport, which you reverted. If you read WP:AIRPORTS you'll notice the rules preclude adding flights that require plane changes, even if they have the same flight number. If you go to united.com and check their flight schedules, UAL837/UAL838 requires a plane change at Narita. If you insist on keeping San Francisco, you may as well add Washington-Dulles too because the flights originate there, with stops at San Francisco and Narita. --BetaCentauri 23:11, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:MetroLink.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:MetroLink.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:02, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Timezone logo.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Timezone logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:45, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey Arnzy. What happened to the Bustech page?

July 2007

Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the page Kingsford Smith International Airport on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Thewinchester (talk) 08:01, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

I was applying WP:AIRPORTS to this article, especially over the subsidiary listing guidelines, please check your talk page. --Arnzy (talk · contribs) 13:22, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
You were given a level one warning, so that is assuming good faith. Secondly, I'll be taking up the issue of airports formatting with the project. It's insanely redundant and goes against WP:NOT#DIR. Thewinchester (talk) 13:59, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Sydney airport...

Arnzy, I've explained my intentions in edit summaries, and I've asked it on talk pages. You've done neither so far. Surely you have an opinion. One can't just revert but not discuss. Please reply with an opinion. kind regards. --Merbabu 06:48, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Sailing close to the winds of WP:3RR

Listen, make sure you don't cross that line whatever you do. There's one article where you've come dangerously close to doing it, so just be careful for your own sake. Thewinchester (talk) 09:02, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
