Bus routes

Thank you. I generated the content and thought from the outset it was a bit tacky, but I put it there for the sake of consistency. I have reformatted all the CityTrain pages (I think - certainly all the actual station pages) to the same format and included up to date bus services for each. You are right - it is only really Central, South Bank, South Brisbane and Buranda that really generate any problems due to the large number of routes. I will endeavour to keep everything up to date by amending the central list of routes then any railway, busway or bus stations affected.

In general, where there is a large number of routes (except at Central), you could probably just link to the appropriate busway station page (South Brisbane = Cultural Centre; South Bank = South Bank; Buranda = Buranda) SM247 06:07, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Survivor bios

Thanks for looking again at some of those articles on AFD. If you get a chance, I think that one or two of the ones on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Joel_Klug may also be worth a second look. That said, you're perfectly entitled to disagree, if you're so inclined; I'm not trying to twist your arm. -Colin Kimbrell 01:13, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Good enough for me; thanks. -Colin Kimbrell 15:40, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Why are you adding afds in Survivor Bios like John Carroll (Survivor contestant) and more... That's nonsense, please remove AFD now!!! - ApprenticeFan 01:27, 02/26/2006 (UTC)

User talk

Re: User -> UserTalk, thanks for the correction! MrShoggoth 06:13, 1 March 2006 (UTC)MrShoggoth

Re: User -> UseTalk, Thanks for correcting me I only changed it because it does not have any information in the Qantas routes section of their website and you cannot book a flight from BNE-NRT only codeshared with JAL or via SYD and CNS. Thanks alot Terry

Survivor Redirects

Thanks for fixing those Survivor redirects. I don't know what I was thinking...I watched Palau religiously because I know Ian. I guess I was tired or something. Nice catch. --MikeJ9919 19:17, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

I've put this article up for deletion review, after re-writing a stub focused much more on his non-Survivor notability as a TV host, which was then speedy deleted as a recreation of deleted content. Since you commented on the initial AFD, I thought you might want to participate in the discussion here as well. -Colin Kimbrell 17:24, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Railway lines

Excellent format for the interurban lines - any chance of applying it to the suburban routes? SM247 22:54, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Good work - your modifications are actually a much better resource than the published timetables, which have routes listed but not in numerical order and with replication and poor editing. Thanks. I'll edit the connections as they change from time to time. SM247 00:13, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Now that I think about it - how about the busways (only two at the moment)? SM247 03:20, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Brisbane WikiProject

Hi. I've see that you're from Brisbane and thought you might be interested in the Brisbane WikiProject. It's a roject to focus and coordinate the efforts of editors working on Brisbane related articles. We've recently created a list of suggested tasks on the project page. There’s also a new 'Recent Activity' section on the project talk page where you might like to add any Brisbane related articles that you've recently been working on to encourage others to join in. If you'd like to get involved or let others know you exist, feel free to add your name to the list of participants on the project page. If you have any comments on how to improve the project or ideas on the articles themselves, please share them on the project talk page. Cheers. Happy editing. -- Adz|talk 07:26, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for supporting me in my RfA. I really didn't think people appreciate my work here that much, but it's nice to see you do: my Request was closed with 66 supports and 4 opposes. I'll do my best not to turn your confidence down. If in any point in the future you get the feeling I'm doing something wrong, do not hesitate to drop me a line. --Dijxtra 11:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Thank you!

Hello, Sb617/First archive, and thank you for vote on my recent RfA! With a final vote of 62/2/4, I have now been entrusted with the mop, bucket and keys. As I acclimate myself to my new tools, feel free to let me know how you believe I might be able to use them to help the project. Thanks again! RadioKirk talk to me 05:37, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Comment

In the future, you don't need to nominate pages at WP:RFD for which you are the sole editor. You can simply use {{db-author|reason for deletion}} and then provide the reason for why you are requesting deletion and an admin will take care of it fore you. Happy editing! --Hetar 19:00, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Brisbane CBD stations

A suggestion - perhaps the North Coast line could be moved below the Gold Coast/Airport lines in your new station template for consistency in appearance. SM247 04:39, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi Arnzy, thanks for supporting my request for adminship! Unfortunately, it ended with a final tally of 45/15/2, no consensus. I may have another go in the near future, once the school year is over. Thanks again! -- getcrunkjuicecontribs 23:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

If you have withdrawn your nomination, could you remove the nomination from the pages, please? --sonicKAI 09:43, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for voting for my recent RfA, which passed (to my extreme surprise and shock) with a total tally of 66/15/2. Hi Arnzy! Thank you for your support of my request for adminship. I hope I will continue to see you around the project (I'm sure I'll bump into you at *fD). File:Atlanticpuffin4.jpg Hello Arnzy. Thank you for your full support and gracious comment at my request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation - especially when people like yourself make a rare trip to RfA to support me. You can see me in action and observe what then happened as a result. If you need admin assistance, feel free to ask me. Naturally, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out. I look forward to working with you in the future, hopefully as an admin. Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 03:04, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

My RFA

Arnzy, thank you very much for your support in my recent Request for adminship, it passed with a final tally of (65/3/3) - which I find both amazing and humbling. I wish I had time to thank everyone personally, but I'm afraid all I can offer is this token of my gratitude. I hope to live up to your expectations/hopes. If at any stage you need to contact me, for help or a request or to point out a mistake in my conduct, please make sure to tell me on my talk page. --Fir0002 08:33, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

I've been working on AfD for almost a year now, and this doesn't seem to meet A7 at all, so I'd like to know why you feel differently. Thanks.--M@rēino 02:41, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks!

Thanks for voting!
Hello Sb617/First archive, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RfA. I am pleased to inform you that it passed with a final tally of (119/1/3), into the WP:100, so I have now been cleared for adminship and will soon be soaring above the clouds. I was overjoyed, shocked, and humbled by the tally, and, most importantly, all the support. Thank you. If there is ever anything you need, you know where you can find me. Take care.

Digital broadcast info for various stations and possible national AccuWeather channel

I was looking at TV listings on Zap2it and found some interesting details. Apparently WWOR and WNYW cross offer each other on their DT3 channel. I was also looking for a listing that had WABC online Eyewhitness News Now as a sub-channel. It has ABC Eye Witness News & Weather listed and I wonder if it is the same feed as online. If this is the case, I think AccuWeather has created an all weather channel, like NBC Weather Plus. I wonder if other ABC O&O channels offer this service along with WFMZ and WSVN. Have you heard anything about a national AccuWeather channel?Sam 06:14, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

I return and what do I find?

Well you know Arnzy, even if it was decided by Wikipedia's AFD to merge all nonnotable Survivor contestants to their appropriate show articles, you could have at least notified me about Gretchen Cordy and Ryan Shoulders, which I created. Both contestants are from Clarksville, Tennessee which makes our town unique for having two in different seasons, but not being a huge city producing a bunch either. Perhaps the rules could be bent slightly, or even at least a list of those lesser knowns made. The same thing has happened to several lesser known Star Wars articles I've dealt with before, thus the birth of Wookieepedia. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:07, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Nav boxes

Why did you revert my CSS changes? ed g2stalk 10:36, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

I did that with the bus/ferry/train navigation templates to keep consistency with the size of the template throughout all station pages, as for the CityTrain next station nav, I reverted to the one prior to SM247 inserting the CityTrain logo --Arnzy (whats up?) 11:11, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Railway Station Boxes

Some of the pictures of railway stations on the QROTI website are a fair bit out of date. Some stations (especially on the Caboolture line!) have been renovated since these pictures were taken. I know a lot of the stations have been installed with lifts. I will try and update some as much of this information as I can as I do not travel along the railway line very often.

Thanks. Nicko6 09:09, 14 July 2006 (UTC) I just noticed that lawnton was on zero lifts. Sorry. Nicko6 10:25, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Standardising station templates

Arnzy, I have adopted a common style for rail, bus, busway and ferry station infoboxes (with a pretty crude MS Paint CityCat for the last one). I have also chucked in disability access for all of them (something from the ferry template) that can be gradually added to the others. I have been installing busway and bus station ones today. I think to finish, the Cleveland line, Ipswich line south of Corinda, some stations around Sunnybank, the INB, non-Brisbane bus stations and practically all ferry wharves need doing. Can be done very soon. SM247My Talk 06:30, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Only one problem - Kangaroo Point ferry colouration (in the Thornton St, Holman St and Eagle St wharf pages) - the info box should display the text in black so it is more visible. It should be the same as the Airport/GC Line in the rail boxes, but I can't jig it to work the same way. Any clues? SM247My Talk 01:12, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi

Hi thanks for welcoming me I hope to become an expert on creating and editing articles soon but for now I'll keep using the sandbox. And yes I live on the Sunshine Coast, what part of northern Bisbane do you live in? —Preceding unsigned comment added by StevenT1 (talkcontribs)

Mako is proposing the Sydney bus routes page for deletion. As you appear to have done a fair bit of work on the SE Queensland routes I was wondering if you could speak up on the Sydney route talk page and save it from deletion. I'm afraid he'll start proposing all bus route pages for deletion if that one gets through. (JROBBO 08:28, 8 August 2006 (UTC))

Bus schedules

An article on public transport is fine by me, but a list of bus routes is not what Wikipedia is meant to be. I've put some of your cited examples in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sydney bus routes 100-199 in AfD. Just because we have them, doesn't necessarily mean they belong here. Routemaster is different. It's the history of a London icon, and I wouldn't touch that one. :) --DarkAudit 15:40, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

TL services

It looks good isn't it? It tidies up a bit a least. Now there will be more space for putting all the services in 1 page. I've just finished the Ferry section.Matt ke 04:31, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
