o.0[edit]

Erm... I know I am new to this Wikipedia editing thing, but are you a little delete happy or something? I created and was in the process of writing an article, but found you had deleted it in the middle of me doing so, because it "had no content." No five minute typing wait or something, lol? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emmyceru (talkcontribs)

Deletions Part 2[edit]

How come the Ryan Rider page is still not back up? Thanks!

Someone considered it a valid speedy and re-protected it. Sorry. Royboycrashfan 16:36, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Damn, they're trying to delete all the pages. Any way that I could get copies of them even if they are deleted to use somewhere else? For at least the Ryan Rider page?

Abandin Theory[edit]

Why was the enrty for Abandin Theory deleted? They are an actual band that puts on shows with an album and another in the works. I don't really understand. In addition, I'd like to add that I'm not putting a "vanity" page for my band since I'm not actually in the band and don't really know them, just a simple fan of the Indie Brampton scene. (chubbstar) 22:03, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article did not assert notability at all, which is a speedy under WP:CSD#A7. You are always welcome to rewrite the article and explain their notability. Royboycrashfan 22:05, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • So if i added a mini-bio and some discussion of thier style would that consitute notability? And if i do add this do i have to start the whole page over from scratch? I just dont want to do work I've already done. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (chubbstar) (talkcontribs)
      • Not necessarily. You just need to better explain their notability. Royboycrashfan 04:28, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletions[edit]

Hey man, why do you keep deleting my pages? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrider (talkcontribs)

The subjects are non-notable and have been deleted under WP:CSD#A7. Reposting is also a speedy criterion. Royboycrashfan 19:46, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How is the host of one of the biggest radio shows in Montreal unimportant? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrider (talkcontribs)

I'm not going to let you repost your vanity page unless you provide a good reason for its inclusion. Royboycrashfan 19:51, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Like I said, it's a major radio show in the wrestling community and profiles of the main people involved including myself should be included in the encyclopedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrider (talkcontribs)

Okay, but the tone and context of the article suggest vanity. You may write a rough draft of a new article on a subpage. Royboycrashfan 19:57, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm new to this what do you mean by a subpage? And in what direction should I take it so that it will no longer be considered vanity?

Are the other profiles alright such as the Viz and Gavin Schwartz? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrider (talkcontribs)

Viz is okay, but Gavin Schwartz has similar problems. You can create a subpage of your own at User:Ryanrider/subpage name and work on rewriting the article. Royboycrashfan 20:16, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the troubles, check out my subpage and tell me if it is alright. I will get to Gavin's next. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrider (talkcontribs)

Good, but the part about favorite wrestlers I feel is unencyclopedic. To learn more about subpages, see Wikipedia:User page. Royboycrashfan 20:24, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Favorite wrestlers part was taken out. Please put the Ryan Rider article back up if possible. Right now I am editing the Gavin Schwartz page, then I will re-do BJG.

Is the Gavin page okay now?

You must be busy, please reply when you have a chance. I will also be making a subpage for BJG later on.

Ryan Rider and BJG have been successfully restored. Royboycrashfan 21:59, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! If there are any other problems please feel free to contact me before deleting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrider (talkcontribs)

Speedy deletion undeletion request[edit]

I saw that Raiders drum and bugle corps was nominated for speedy deletion, I tagged the page with {{hangon}} and proceeded to justify the page's existence at Wikipedia:Speedy deletions#Raiders drum and bugle corps. Judging from the deletion log, I think you missed this. Would you please take a look and consider restoring the page? Mr Bound 21:16, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you can give me ideas on how you wish to expand the article so as to establish some sort of notability, I could restore it. Royboycrashfan 16:19, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Assuming you aren't familiar with the drum corps activity, here is, in brief, why this group is notable. First, assuming notability criteria were to be met by the group being a band (drum corps is a sister activity to marching bands) the notability would be established by having nationally toured (and performed with other corps at DCI shows) and by having placed at a major music competition (the Raiders were champion at Drum Corps International (DCI) Division III finals in 2005). If notability were judged by the corps being a notable group, I would cite membership in DCI, the championship victory, the organization's health and longevity as a nonprofit [1], and, although possibly self referential, the existence of a WikiProject devoted to drum corps (Wikipedia:WikiProject Drum Corps. I hope you will take this into consideration. Mr Bound 03:36, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • That passes them under WP:MUSIC. I have restored the article, so feel free to expand its content. Royboycrashfan 03:42, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Goodbye Horses[edit]

You reverted an edit I made to the Goodbye Horses entry. With all due respect, you need to watch the scene in the movie, or at least do some cursory research, before you assume vandalism. While the song Goodbye Horses plays, Jame Gumb applies makeup, talks to himself ("Do you want to fuck me?), dons the incomplete skin suit and dances in front of the mirror with his penis tucked between his legs. This is an infamous scene in the movie and is a popular cultural reference. Have you seen the movie? Please do the research if you haven't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Foxylibrarian (talkcontribs) 21:59, 1 May 2006

Canada-bio-stub[edit]

Thanks for the help. But wouldn't it make more sense to make it Canadian-bio-stub instead? Also, since it was deleted, is there some way to make it point to Canada-bio-stub? --M1ss1ontomars2k4 18:28, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Perhaps you should see the SFD discussion from December and the various rationales for deletion. If you would like to recreate Canadian-bio-stub, it would be best if you were to explain why it should exist. Royboycrashfan 21:26, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amgine's RfA and "casual user"[edit]

I noticed you made a comment "seems like more of a casual user than a committed one. Only 1100 edits since April 2004 is a real shocker." - I just wanted to make sure you were aware that he spends a lot of time on the email ticket system which explains the low edit count a fair bit. When responding to those types of messages the odd one about living bio's and other deleted content that Amgine has no access to do make his job a little more difficult than it should be. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the behind the scenes work that really show why editcountis is a bad thing :o -- Tawker 18:45, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A landslide victory for The JPS (aka RFA thanks)[edit]

Hey, Royboycrashfan/Archive 4, thank you so much for your vote and comments in my RfA, which passed with an overwhelming consensus of 95/2/2. I was very surprised and flattered that the community has entrusted me with these lovely new toys. I ripped open the box and started playing with them as soon as I got them, and I've already had the pleasure of deleting random nonsense/attacks/copyvios tonight.

A7[edit]

Royboy, what does the reason "A7" mean in your deletion log? Simply putting A7 does not help me understand what was wrong in an article so that it can be improved and the same mistakes not made the next time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rutless (talkcontribs)

  • A7 means WP:CSD#A7; this criteria means any article that does not assert notability may be speedy deleted. Royboycrashfan 15:49, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Thank you for the explanation. I must disagree, as the article described in depth the notability of the site, which had its videos featured across the internet and on a network televsion show. However, thinking objectively here, it is obvious I did not assert the notability at the start of the article, but rather in a later section. Would that correct the issue? Thanks again.rutless

Age of consent deletions[edit]

Hi, you recently deleted a series of articles on the age of consent for sex in various regions. I don't agree with the reason you gave for deletion (original research), at least for the Australia and Oceania article (the one I know best). It cited verifiable sources and did not propose any new ideas or argument, as far as I recall, so I can't see why it would be original research.

Would you please restore the articles, or explain your reasons for deletion further?

Here is the relevant section of the deletion log:

  1. 17:48, 8 May 2006 Royboycrashfan deleted "Age of consent in South America for sex" (WP:OR)
  2. 17:48, 8 May 2006 Royboycrashfan deleted "Age of consent in North America for sex" (WP:OR)
  3. 17:48, 8 May 2006 Royboycrashfan deleted "Age of consent in Europe for sex" (WP:OR)
  4. 17:48, 8 May 2006 Royboycrashfan deleted "Age of consent in Australia and Oceania for sex" (WP:OR)
  5. 17:47, 8 May 2006 Royboycrashfan deleted "Age of consent in Asia for sex" (WP:OR)
  6. 17:47, 8 May 2006 Royboycrashfan deleted "Age of consent in Africa" (A1)

Help with article nominated for deletion[edit]

Hi, I see that you've helped remove the noms for SD on the other articles that User:Ardenn has been nominating for deletion without cause. He's also nominated Age of consent in Asia for sex. I'm a bit perplexed at his actions. First he's moved all the "Age of consent in /Asia/Europe/Australia/N.America/S.America/Africa" pages to "age of consent in X for sex" (a very clumsy name) THEN removed the link to the main article. THEN nominated them for speedy deletion. This has messed up the whole Age of consent project which was ticking along nicely and a LOT of improvements have been made to that group of articles. I'm at a loss as what to do from this point. Help?

Looks like the situation has been mostly resolved. Thank you. --Monotonehell 06:52, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You had sent "me" a message. Problem is, I am using BSNL/MTNL internet service, which is DHCP based. So the ip changes per login. So though you actually meant the message for this ip, it has not reached the proper person. I have never edited the North Pakistan page. Regards !

PS: I will be registering soon, to avoid such problems. There, I just registered as RohanDhruva, so you may want to send the notic/message again ? -- RohanDhruva 19:44, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Restoration[edit]

Just so you know - I was in the process of expanding Claire Elizabeth Smith at the moment you deleted it. I've since undeleted it; please be careful to distinguish the articles which can be safely deleted on the grounds of no context being provided, from those which can instead be tagged as needing context. I found that ms Smith's notability was, if not clearly established, at least definitively so. DS 13:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocking of 66.65.68.188[edit]

Hi - could you please confirm for me whether or not you did in fact block this user? I see the request I put on the admin page has been removed but there is nothing on this user's talk page. If it's a question of giving them a final warning, the reason I didn't is that I figured it wasn't necessary; they were blocked for the same thing four days ago, and as soon as the block expired the user repeated the exact same vandalism for which they were banned in the first place. Let me know if I need to put another warning up and I'll do it though! Thanks a lot Libatius 17:55, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I suppose if the band is notable, the album is too. I'll wait and see how the author plans on rewriting the band article. If it warrants inclusion, the album article would stay. Royboycrashfan 04:58, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I ran across this article by chance, which you deleted as an A7. Do you really think it qualifies solidly as having no assertion of notability? Thanks Royboycrashfan,

I am honored by your support in my recent successful request for adminship. As an administrator, I am your servant, ready to help however I can. (In your case, since you've had the tools longer than I, my best use might be menial labor!) My talk page is always open; should you need anything, or should you see me making a mistake -- probably a common occurrence -- please do let me know. I just wanted to chime in on your recent removal of red links from the National Wrestling Alliance article. Shouldn't those links stay? I mean, they create wanted pages and are a good place for members of the wrestling project to start when they want to contribute new information. Just my two cents...

-NickSentowski 00:53, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Some people would rather not see an article filled with red links. Anyone who wants to start a page can add the link and then follow that link to the new article. Royboycrashfan 02:10, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You removed the speedy del and hangon tags from this article; as I placed the hangon, I'm glad that another editor agrees that there's probably sufficient notability to keep. After you removed the tags, I found conflicting evidence re notability - see the talk page - and I suggested there that I'd nominate it for AfD to let the community decide. Any objection to my doing so? Thanks, Colonel Tom 02:45, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • That would be the best thing to do in my opinion. Royboycrashfan 02:46, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey.[edit]

Trust me, I have reason for wanting to delete the IP talk. One user posted in it and I don't want to leave a trail of talk pages of every IP I've ever edited under. (Check the last edit under my username and that'll be proof enough it's me).

I'm on Wikibreak and the user in question wanted to contact me (I didn't want him to contact me at the IP talk).

If you require clarification, please e-mail me (or HappyCamper who is familiar with my situation). (Yes you deleted the talk, and I thank you, but you were rather uncertain in your deletion reason) - it was probably because I had placed the deletion reason under a diff user account. It's a legit deletion reason. -- Nathan 00:40, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, the userboxes on your userpage would probably look better in a table of 3 userboxes per line ;) (it's just a suggestion, take it as you like). Cheers. -- Nathan (Got something to say? Say it.) 00:56, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've just found out that there is a feature in "my preferences" that forces me to use edit summaries. I've now got it enabled :) Thanks again. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 15:48, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thank you, Royboycrashfan, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of 23:15, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was just about to put a {{hangon}} on this article when you deleted it. I was going to investigate his contributions to ZZ Top, which would appear to be a rather substantial assertion of notability. If you looked at this already, though, and can save me the time, please let me know. -- SCZenz 04:01, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to let you know you made a mistake in deleting the article on Bill Ham, who (as the article said) was the producer for ZZ Top, as containing no assertion of notability. Please be more careful in the future. -- SCZenz 04:14, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank-you[edit]

The count is in, and now I join the crew who wield the mops and pails.
Thanks for your support! I pledge to serve both you and Jimbo Wales.

If you have anything you need, then please don't think to hesitate.

For I am the very model of a grateful admin designate!

Thank you[edit]

Many thx for protecting the Severina Vučković article.--Greece666 18:43, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All I did to that page was rollback vandalism. It's not protected right now. Royboycrashfan 18:45, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merci beaucoup![edit]

Thank you, Royboycrashfan/Archive 4!
Thank you for voting for my recent RfA, which passed (to my extreme surprise and shock) with a total tally of 66/15/2. For that, I would like to thank you and offer a helping hand in any admin-related tasks that may be required -- it's as simple as leaving a message on my talkpage. Thanks again! -→Buchanan-Hermit/!? 22:35, 23 May 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Hi Royboycrashfan! Thank you so much for your "Strong Support" of my RfA (though I wouldn't have minded the speedy part as well...there were a couple vandals over the past day or two I wish I could've blocked myself :o) ). I've always admired your edits, and I always love seeing fellow Texans on the project (everytime I see your signature I get a little homesick...). Anyway, thanks again, and feel free to leave me a message if you ever see anything I can be doing better. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 23:11, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Deletion[edit]

Can you please restore Image:Vithalruk.jpg? Tt was definitely valid fair-use -- image and article were of the same Hindu God. Consider also that photographs of famous paintings by say, Van Gogh are freely availabe because they fall under "PD-old" and several other labels. The idol of Vithoba is atleast several centuries old, so how can a photograph of that idol be copyrighted? ImpuMozhi 04:25, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Image deletions are permanent and thus can't be reverted, but you may re-upload it if you have the file on your computer or you can find it somewhere. Royboycrashfan 12:03, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thao Dang speedy delete[edit]

I was in the middle of reviewing the Thao Dang article and examining notablity claims. When I returned to add my comment to the afd, I found you had closed the debate with a speedy. I'm not sure that it qualifies for a speedy and probably merits more debate. (It had been listed for less than 12 hours). I had found some articles in Vietnamese-American publications; the other claim of notability was being the #1 sales person in the US and worldwide for Century 21 - a major national real estate company. (Also found a site indicating that he is "Vice President of Marketing for CENTURY 21 Alpha". I've not discovered if this is just a local office, or something corporate. However, I won't investigate further, pending your review/decision on whether to keep the article on AfD or to complete the speedy.). Though the article may merit deletion, I don't think it merits a speedy. Thanks for your consideration. —ERcheck @ 04:41, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • OK... I think I know what happened. I was reviewing the article and potential notability; meantime, you closed and speedy deleted. Then, the article was recreated... someone speedy tagged it; the creator removed the speedy tag and is re-writing it to put claims of notability up front. I'll step back and let things take their course. Probably doesn't meet notability, but it might be interesting to see what the re-write it. —ERcheck @ 05:06, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More redlink removals[edit]

Regarding [6], I cannot see why you've unlinked it. It presents two advantages having it linked in the first place: 1) it is an invitation to add content (which is much easier than trying to start a new article by hand, especially for newbies), and 2) once someone actually creates the article, it is already linked — now someone has to go back to relink any other occurences. I will relink it for now, but I urge you to reconsider your position on red links — this is the stuff that makes Wikipedia work. dewet| 12:41, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I find it in very poor taste that, even after I've cordially notified you here and requested not to do something, you just keep on at it without even discussing or debating it. I'm quite willing to be corrected on my standpoints. You are an administrator and should be an example of civility when interacting with others here. dewet| 13:41, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
When an article is deleted, it's recommended that you remove any links to the page to discourage recreation, but it seems to me like you're saying I shouldn't do that. Royboycrashfan 13:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's not what I'm saying.
  1. You unlinked Kees Bruynzeel after speedying the article for (what I assume) being non-notable. I unfortunately didn't see that it was created in the first place, else I would've objected to it being speedied and rather taken to AfD. A simple google will reveal that he won the 1973 Cape to Rio yacht race, which should at the very least have been debated, not speedied.
  2. You unlinked Eerste River from the article, without it having been created, ever, so your argument doesn't apply.
  3. You unlinked University of Stellenbosch with nothing more than rmril (which for someone unaccustomed to the terminology here can be confusing). For its context in that paragraph, I feel it is essential that it stay linked.
I have no problem with bypassing redirects or such; I do have a problem with the way in which it was handled (you could just have mentioned in your initial delinking that the article was speedied, then I'd have taken it from there). Thanks, dewet| 14:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  1. If you feel it should not have been deleted, you may discuss at WP:DRV.
  2. Eerste River was already linked to in the article, anyway.
  3. Rmril means "Remove redundant internal links". WP:CONTEXT says you should only link to an article once.
Sorry. I should use the edit summary "rm, deleted". Royboycrashfan 18:44, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback. I would like to review the deleted contents of Kees Bruynzeel to determine whether all the schlep of WP:DRV is justified. Could you make it available for me? Otherwise I will consider just starting a new article. dewet| 20:03, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to discuss it at Deletion Review to get comments from other admins, who are able to view deleted histories. Royboycrashfan 20:15, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, I was under the impression you are an admin, and that it is acceptable to have deleted content temporarily restored for such cases (by just a cursory examination of other DRV requests). But in any case, this just seems like too much trouble and bureaucracy gone wrong. When I have some spare time I will recreate it from scratch. dewet| 20:21, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. And I am an admin, actually, I just have no comment on the deleted content. Royboycrashfan 20:23, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose everything one can imagine has happened on Wikipedia before, I shall help User:Dewet recreate the article Kees Bruynzeel while this link stays red.. I am sorry to see that there are Wikipedians who appear quick to reject anything they are not familiar with. I happened to visit the constuction site of Bruynzeel's house which was very futuristic at the time, given the Cape Dutch architecture Stellenbosch is known for.

Keep it up fellow Azanians.. Gregorydavid 06:14, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CorbinSimpson's Request for Adminship[edit]

Thanks for voting in my request for administrator rights, even though it failed (13/30/4). Sadly, work has forced me to respond to you all using a substituted message rather than a personalized response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that administrators, to me, should be chosen and approved by the community, and I will continue working to become a better editor and Wikipedian. No matter what the alignment of your vote was, I will take your comments seriously and use them to improve myself. If you wish to discuss your comments personally with me, I would be more than glad to talk about things since the RfA is now over; just leave your concern on my talk page and we will sort things out. Thanks again for voting, and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent

Mallika Kapoor[edit]

Just a friendly note to let you know that I restored the above page that you deleted since G5 doesn't apply here. G5 applies if and only if a banned user creates an article while he is banned, not for articles that he creates before he is banned. --Gurubrahma 18:50, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tone's RfA thanks[edit]

Dear Royboycrashfan/Archive 4 — Thank you for your support on my recent RfA. It succeeded with a final tally of 46/2/3 so now I am an administrator. I'll be taking things slowly at first and getting used to the new tools, but please let me know if there's any anything I can help you with in the future. And please correct me, if you spot I make a mistake. Thank you again. --Tone 23:58, 26 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Image:PDVD 106.jpg[edit]

Why did you remove my tags on Image:PDVD 106.jpg? The image does not have the detailed fair-use rationale as required by the license, nor is it used on any page. Thus, we must remove the image. If you disagreed, you should have used the {{hangon}} tag, surely? --Yamla 18:03, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is a screenshot from a movie or television, right? Royboycrashfan 18:04, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but it is missing the detailed fair-use rationale and it is not used in any articles. Thus, we have no current claim to this picture under fair-use and it must be deleted (or used in an article, with a fair-use claim listed). We are currently violating copyright on this image. --Yamla 18:06, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. It's been deleted. Royboycrashfan 18:08, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I was about to tag it as fairusereview as it seemed like we had a conflict. Have a good weekend! --Yamla 18:10, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry[edit]

I'm so sorry I'm new on the editing/adding things to wikipedia. And I thought your message was some kind of a joke. I tried to cleared some facts that I thought were wrong. I promise I'll be more careful. I won't delete anythign again. I'll just keep on adding facts to pages like I used to. Please don't block me. Next time I'll surely use the sand box. --Bella.roza

  • I can't tell who you are. Do I know you from somewhere? Royboycrashfan 00:20, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well you sent me a message about "deleting info on myspace" was considered vandalism. And I wanted to apologize. For deleting things I wasn't supposed to. You see the post that I deleted was fulll of untrue info. But I won't do it again. I promise. --Bella.roza

  • Are you referring to edits you made anonymously? If so, what is your IP number? Royboycrashfan 00:30, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well I think I shouldn't give my IP address since this is a public page. Is there a way I could PM-you? I edited a Hanson page --Bella.roza

I'm so sorry. I thought the person who kept changing the info was some other girl who kept trashing the band. Like I told you I won't do it again. So what are the terms when you edit a page then? You can only add things, not delte right??

  • Not exactly. You can discuss something on the talk page if you feel there's something wrong with it or it should not be there. If you make potentially controversial edits without talking about it, it may be seen as vandalism. Royboycrashfan 00:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for letting me know. By the way what's the link to the Talk page? I find the edting page very confusing.

  • At the top of any given page, you'll see "article", "user page", "project page", etc. Next to it is "discussion", which links to the talk page. Royboycrashfan 00:50, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for letting me clar this thing up to you. I'm sorry i left you with a bad image(picture of me. Since I'm new here I didnt have any idea pf leaving messeges, etc. Thanks again ! Farewell !

Last question I promise !! I also have to tell you when I add tons of info to a page? I have to make comments on the discussion page. BTW how do you add a new page? If I want to do a new page of an artist not listed here, how do i do that?

  • You don't have to make comments every time you add to the context of an article, just when making potentially controversial edits (but remember to be WP:BOLD). If you want to create a new article, it is suggested that you link to it from at least one other article. You may follow that link to the article you wish to start. Royboycrashfan 01:01, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again for everything ! Have a great weekend

Inappropriate speedies[edit]

I notice that you speedy-deleted Barbara Bauer and Category:SFWA Writer Beware Worst Literary Agents on A6 grounds. This is completely inappropriate:

  • the former is someone who has gained sufficient notoriety so that the existing page was at least borderline, and a simple recounting of her recent escapades does NOT rise to the speedy level.
  • the latter is a list compiled by a professional writer's organization (the SFWA, and while it's an opinion, it's a professional and official opinion. At worst, it's a copyright violation, and even that is probably a stretch.

Please undelete at least the Barbara Bauer article, to save the time trouble its listing at Wikipedia:Deletion Review entails. --Calton | Talk 01:45, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated the closure or deletion of the article Barbara Bauer for deletion review. Since you closed the deletion discussion for, or speedy-deleted this article, your opinions on this will be greatly appreciated. JulesH 08:10, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
