GDP figues for UK cities

Metropolitan areas

You wrote on my talk page "However, all of my edits include the metropolitan area and if you visit the reference page, you can see that. I found that adding "metro" was unnessessary and that is why I removed your edit." It is not at all obvious to readers that your edits relate only to metropolitan areas, especially in an article such as London where area, population and economic statistics are provided for Greater London, Greater London Urban Area and London Metropolitan Area (loosely defined and quite possibly not defined in the same way as your figures) and carefully distinguished. Please read Wikipedia:Ownership of articles which describes Wikipedia policy and includes the clear statement "Once you have posted it to Wikipedia, you cannot stop anyone from editing text you have written. As each edit page clearly states: Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone. Your message on my talk page, "I am very ticked off that you think you have the authority to change my edit. I will give you one last chance, but don't cross the line" is in breach of that policy and suggests you do not understand how Wikipedia works. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on London. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. May 2015

Over the last week, you have made changes to a large number of Nova Scotia articles (claims that communities are now regions) without providing a source that supports the changes or even explaining why the changes are being made. Another editor noticed the changes as being incorrect and reverted your changes with an explaination. It appears that you have gone back and put your changes back in, and again have not provided a source or even an edit summary explaining what you are doing. You obviously believe your changes are correct but refusing to discuss or provide a source is not helping your case here. Please give other editors the same respect they gave you and explain your edits, providing a source and a brief explaination may seem trivial to you but it can go along way in preventing problems. There are now several editors who believe your changes to be incorrect, so I doubt they are going to let them remain without an effort on your part to show them to be correct changes. November 2016

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Also related to this image, I've removed it, and will have it deleted, because there is no applicable Non-free use criteria for it. While we appreciate the intention, "a more recent picture" is not a valid argument for the inclusion of a non-free image. 2018–19 NHL results

Thanks for updating the results of various NHL teams. However, please stop changing format of various teams' results tables as you did here (adding points next to month) and here (adding goaltender's record). Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Ryan O'Reilly (ice hockey) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Just out of curiosity, why do you have a problem with using Berube's chosen name, and not, say, P.K. Subban, T.J. Oshie, J.T. Miller, T.J. Tynan, J.T. Compher, A.J. Greer, C.J. Smith, T.J. Brennan, T.J. Brodie, etc. I can understand not applying the diminutive to players like Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, and Benoit-Olivier Groulx (who casually go by "P-O", "P-E", and "Bo", respectively), as those are transient nicknames and shortforms but they still formally go by their full name, or players like Marc-Andre Fleury, and Marc-Edouard Vlasic who elect to go by their full, double-barrel name (or by the single first name "Marc"); and I wouldn't use those shortened names, accordingly. Stanley Cup playoffs

I can appreciate that details surrounding the return to play for the NHL are changing quickly at times. So how are you going to justify your argument when the league declared that all games going forward for this season are considered playoff games? Regarding the Rocket Richard Trophy

Until the regular season is over, and the league makes an announcement regarding Auston Matthews finishing the season with the most goals that would have him clinch it, he is not officially the winner at the moment. Changing locations in leads

The leading sentences for the Arizona Coyotes, Florida Panthers, and Vegas Golden Knights should mention the more widely known area first due to name of the teams being vague and the specific locations of the arenas being less known, therefore likely making more sense to less informed readers. At Florida, and many other places, you changed the short description from "State in the United States" to "State of the United States". Florida is, in fact, as state in the United States. No confusion. "State of the United States" could be confused with something describing the condition of Florida (as in the state of matter).
