@Davidgoodheart: Hi, sorry about the delay. Do you know those men's dates of disappearance? I can't quite work out the dates from the articles. Thanks. Linguist111my talk page 22:58, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

William Morales - May 21, 1979, Jorge Luis Mendoza Cárdenas - wanted by FBI on November 2016, Fausto Isidro Meza Flores - last seen on January 19, 2013, these are the dates when they should be added to the list. Also can you please put the entries added to List of people who disappeared at sea in order as new entries were added but the dates are mixed up. Thank you for your help. Hi there, I noticed you deleted an unsourced edit - I saw I forgot to add the source, so I added it. I was wondering why you deleted the other content I added on the page Death of Julie Van Espen however, concerning the Belgian people in the public eye who addressed her case? Julie's death has lead to political protests concerning sexual violence in Belgium. People in the public eye during public outrage/protests bring attention to it that help create a snow-ball effect of protests. Why would you not be consider it relevant when it comes to the aftermath of Julie's death? Maybe an idea is to add those bits (public figures speaking out, protests, etc) under a category Protests/Impact? I was planning to add more resources concerning protests and impact as well. Thoughts? PhotoandGrime (Pieke Roelofs) (talk) 20:29, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

@PhotoandGrime (Pieke Roelofs): Hallo. (Translation on behalf of other users: "Hello. I have seen here that you are from the Netherlands and I want to let you know that I can read and write in Dutch (not fluently, but good ... well, a bit good), and so we can write in Dutch on my talk page if you want. You may be interested to know that I have also written a few articles about homicide cases in the Netherlands and Belgium (here is a full list of articles that I have created). Yes, now I think I should not have deleted the info, so I added it back.") Linguist111my talk page 04:25, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
@Linguist111: Hoi! (Translation on behalf of other users: "Hi! Dutch or English is fine, whatever you prefer, I am bilingual :). The murder cases in which I contribute to are cases in which a great social and political impact are seen, so I'm glad we could discuss this. It's great to hear you agree after all with the contributions I've added to the article, and for the discussion!) PhotoandGrime (Pieke Roelofs) (talk) 12:08, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for updating your signature! I noticed that you kept the bold markup ('''....'''), which is OK, but redundant, as there is already HTML bold markup (<b style="color:darkred">...</b>). No problem, it's just redundant to specify bold in two different ways. —Anomalocaris (talk) 01:37, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

Collaboration on articles regarding organised sex trafficking and murder

Hi, I saw your work on Death of Katrien De Cuyper and Murder of Maria Laura Mainetti and I wanted to ask whether you would like to work on articles regarding Patrice Alègre and the Oakland County Child Killer case. To my surprise most of the info I added on Marc Dutroux is still standing. And this might be possible in both of those cases, too. It would help to paint a more realistic picture of the cases and make it widely accessible to the public. Let me know whether you'd be interested in that. And if you know anyone else who wants to write on such things let me know.--Sparrow (麻雀) 🐧 12:22, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

@Sparrow (麻雀): I'll try and make time for that as soon as possible. Linguist111my talk page 12:27, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
@Sparrow (麻雀): I'm free all day tomorrow, so I'll make a start then. Linguist111my talk page 15:48, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
Great, I'll read you tomorrow then.--Sparrow (麻雀) 🐧 18:33, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
I added some stuff now to Patrice Alègre but it's not good enough yet I think. I guess one would have to read the book of investigating officer Michel Roussel for more detailed info and better content. I'll see if I can get my hands on. But same patterns as Dutroux: Sex trafficking ring around Alègre, several people dying mysteriously (I have to dig for more deaths here, but it'll be harder to connect them to the case), police investigation sabotaged and halted, members of police force and justice system accused of being part of the sex ring. Interesting aspect here are the tons of deaths that were declared suicides even though they were clearly homocides. But it'll probably be hard to link them to the case, too. A well orcastrated cover-up hard to uncover. Harden than Dutroux at least.--Sparrow (麻雀) 🐧 22:35, 5 January 2020 (UTC)

I see that you reverted my edit on Murder of Aaron Pajich, why? You claim that it is incompatible, but he had gone missing and was found dead, that IS formerly missing. Also since the "Category: Formerly missing people found dead" has been deleted, the "Category: Formerly missing people" is what must be used now from now on. Davidgoodheart (talk) 06:34, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

@Davidgoodheart: I have now added that category to the redirect Aaron Pajich as per WP:INCOMPATIBLE. Linguist111talk 12:00, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

Note regarding AfD

Hi Linguist111, I hope you're doing well. I have a few recommendations regarding your deletion nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/That Vegan Teacher. In the future, please avoid making a "procedural nomination" at AfD just because an editor added a {{notability}} tag to an article. There is no procedure on Wikipedia that requires this kind of nomination. Adding a {{notability}} tag merely means that the tagging editor thinks there may be a notability concern based on the state of the article, but has not yet done a WP:BEFORE search to start a full-fledged deletion discussion; it does not mean that the tagging editor actually intended to nominate the article for deletion. Additionally, it's generally not a good idea to relist discussions in which you are involved (e.g. if you are the nominator). This is because relisting needs to be evaluated impartially against the alternative option of closing the debate. Thanks, Mz7 (talk) 00:43, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

@Mz7: Hi! I'm doing well thank you. I won't be making any more procedural nominations in the future, and I apologise for any disruption caused. To explain why I did what I did: I didn't feel strongly that the subject of the article was notable or that she wasn't, having seen the sources in the article at the time and those available online. I thought it would be beneficial to start an AfD after the addition of the notability tag in order to generate discussion about the article, so that there would be a basis for keeping it or for deleting it. I relisted the AfD because it had already been over 7.5 days since I opened it and yet no admin had closed it. But I won't relist it again, and I won't make such a nomination in the future. As a matter of fact, I have ideas for articles I want to write, and I'm planning to make time to write them in the near future, as I haven't written an article in a while, so I won't be active at AfD again at all any time soon. Thanks! Linguist111talk 10:27, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

Kenosha unrest shooting

Linguist111, the articles listed you recently removed at Kenosha unrest shooting, two in further reading and one external links provide a level of detail and quality graphic layouts that help explain the spacial complexity of what took place. By absorbing them back into soup of 150+ article references (most of which are brief news blurbs), it does a disservice to those seeking visual information (USA today) or much more nuanced dissections of the event. The GQ article, New Yorker article, and USA Today visual timeline are of a quality that is worth separating out for readers.

I see you are hard at work making improvements by trimming, organizing, and improving citation formatting on an unruly article, but I must inquire if the removal of the three articles in Further reading & External links is actually necessary? Kind Regards, Cedar777 (talk) 16:16, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
