Hope you didn't take my comment on EFD personally, but...

...there's this person that's been harassing me and trolling on my talkpage. StopTaoSpam (talk · contribs) has been harassing me since I reverted his removal of content, and he's been very uncivil to me and attacking me on his userpage, and he has been trolling on my talk page. I have the diff links if you want them, plus a warning that's still fresh on my talkpage, if you wanted to know. And I apologize if I offended you and said you were a girl, hope you didn't take it personally. I would recommend you get rid of this message before he makes a big deal of this again on his userpage.

I'm NOT advertising nor promoting BART; I'm comparing the choices between parking inside SFO and parking at BART when going to SFO. Many people are not aware of these choices. It's no wonder that $1.5 Billion of our taxpayer dollars on the BART-SFO project has been losing money. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Native94080 (talkcontribs) 05:20, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hoaxer and Vandal: Arkanov15

您好! I'm wondering if you have read Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airports#2007-12-04_HOAX_ALERT.21 about someone who had been creating hoaxes about airports in Indonesia. Since he/she's been given "final warning" from Jpatokal, he/she had struck several rounds again. Please evaluate to see if he/she should be blocked indefinitely. Is there by any chance you can take action on this user, because he is really irritating me over many articles (SFO, Millbrae BART Station, and other articles with reference to BART, and SFO), and claims that I'm only reverting his work based on my opinion (which I am not), because it is he (or she) is placing in this information that is really unnecessary, or has been repeated throughout the article.SFOetthekid (talk) 22:24, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that it is beginning to get out of hand, because he has like gone through many of the BART line articles, and added this information (if you want to see go to those articles). I'll keep an eye on him, but from this point forth I'm going to just ignore him. Thanks for helping me out here. SFOetthekid (talk) 22:36, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Per the request there - would you like to put the NPOV template back on the article page or should I? SkierRMH (talk) 01:30, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a third party too (and find the whole thing quite silly), however per WP:NPOVD#What_is_an_NPOV_dispute.3F when there's a dispute about the NPOV tag, it's supposed to remain on the article until the situation is resolved. SkierRMH (talk) 01:36, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problemo! I'm going to rephrase my statement on the RFPP in light of this! SkierRMH (talk) 01:46, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed that you closed this AFD with a decision to Keep. While I'm not going to argue with your reasoning or your decision, the fact remains that the content of both Albanians in Central Serbia and Albanians in Kosovo is duplicated on Albanians in Serbia. What next steps should I take next to resolve this duplication? Thanks! Dchall1 (talk) 04:34, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merging doesn't seem like the right option, as there appears to be no support for that on the Central Serbia and Kosovo pages. user:Србија до Токија's attempts to blank and redirect these pages were quickly reverted by myself and other editors. I'm still concerned that this editor, who's editing history consists entirely of pro-Serb nationalist contributions has been allowed to create was is essentially a POV-forked article pushing the view that Kosovo is and always will be part of Serbia. Dchall1 (talk) 04:49, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps I misunderstood your first response. Are you saying I could get away with renaming "Central Serbia" to "Serbia", and keep "Kosovo" as a seperate article? That solution was endorsed by a couple of commentators in the debate...
FYI, his name (ridiculous as it sounds) is a 90's era "Greater Serbia" slogan. If you google it, a few nasty pro-Mladic Youtube videos pop up. Dchall1 (talk) 05:00, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!

Hello, thank you, can you please tell me where is nationalist speech I held? Dchall has Serbophobia or something or he is lying very much, I never and NEVER did anything except stopped separatism and created NEUTRAL point of view, I better don't mention that Dchall vandalized Kosovo war page many times. I mentioned facts, it was not a nationalist speech! One more thing, Dchall last time stop lying or I 'll report you to administrators, Србија до Токија has nothing to do with Greater Serbia (Greater Serbia is a falsely translated and doesn't exist). Since Serbian is much more different than English I doubt I can trasnlate Србија до Токија, I 'll explain you next time, just Dchall stop lying last time. --Србија до Токија (talk) 17:50, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Illyrian article

The version of Britanica source:

The origins of the Albanian people are not definitely known, but data drawn from history and from linguistic, archaeological, and anthropological studies have led to the conclusion that Albanians are the direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians and that the latter were natives of the lands they inhabited. Similarly, the Albanian language derives from the language of the Illyrians, the transition from Illyrian to Albanian apparently occurring between the 4th and 6th centuries. http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-42640/Albania

Wikipedia Version:

Some linguists hypothesize that the Albanian language derives from the Illyrian language.[11][12] Others dispute this, claiming that Albanian derives from a dialect of the now-extinct Thracian language.[11] However, after deeper scrutiny, the Illyrian-Albanian theory has shown to have more evidence against it than for it. To propagate the connection, the Albanian government adopted a policy of artificially re-naming objects, places and people with "Illyrian"[13] names. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illyrians#_note-11

The reference 13 (Miranda Vikers, The Albanians)is missquoted, here you can read the book by yourself: link

Why did you delete?

i would love to know why did you delete the article about Kord (band) ? it is an notable article, i've checked all the sources and they are reliable and they had a charted hit on a national music chart RT100 and if you search about RT100, you'll se that it's a reliable source; and then, this band (Kord) contains at least one member who was once a part of a band that is otherwise notable Nicoleta Alexandru; and then, they had been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network SRR - Radio România Actualităţi; and then, they had been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network, like : RadioTotal which had them in their top too, and few weeks ago they were invited on Romantica (Romanian TV Channel) in a tv-show named Teoviziunea, where they launch the new video of a single named Viseaza. i think you should reback that article. thanks

Username violation versus sockpuppetry

I agree with your wisdom on resolving the discussion, but can you fix the block log[2] via a reblock to reflect the correct reasoning behind the block? A block for sockpuppetry in particular precludes this user from trying again with another account. Closing the discussion alone doesn't resolve that. -- Kendrick7talk 05:35, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MfD closure

I believe that you closed this MfD incorrectly, from a consensus point of view. Reading through the comments in depth, both sides put forward valid and reasoned arguments grounded in policy, and there was substantial support on both sides. I do not believe there was anything approaching a consensus, and where there is no consensus, the default is always to Keep. In such a controversial case, you ought at least to have provided a closing rationale justifying your decision. I can understand that, quite possibly, you think that Wikipedia is better off without "shops" and view all arguments to the contrary as spurious; but closing admins shouldn't close according to their own opinion. They should follow the consensus. Accordingly I will be opening a deletion review (when I get a chance) and you are invited to comment there. WaltonOne 13:41, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Advice for Homeopathy

I'd welcome your guidance on moving forward with unprotecting Homeopathy. The article right now is beset by several uncritical advocates who are subtly advancing a non-neutral POV; even while the article is protected, they have been sucessful in delaying consensus on several aspects of the article in contention, by drowning the discussion page in long non sequitur posts; by evading direct questions or contradicting facts brought up by other editors; and by misrepresenting scientific consensus. I don't see a clear path toward delisting the article and having the chance to make even minor edits in the future without similiar conflicts. So, your guidance will be most appreciated. Naturezak (talk) 01:18, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the e/c, but you really should have asked me before unprotecting the page. {{unblock}} abuse, and proven sock per Jpgordon (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA); (although currently only matching the autoblock - I'm surprised there's not an explicit indef too - I'll ask Jpgordon). — Coren (talk) 23:47, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pat Kelly deletion question

Hi,

I'm not sure of the protocol, but given that it's been re-created three times, possible link?, is it worth protecting against re-creation? I'm not sure what's needed to do this, it's the first time I've run into this many deletions on an article that's been through an AFD.

{{subst:transwiki|Wiktionary|{{subst:PAGENAME}}}} is a good alternative to using the regular prod template for transwiki'd articles. It provides more information and...stuff. --Closedmouth (talk) 09:29, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your Proposed deletion of Deconversion

You proposed the deletion of the article which I created, deconversion. I agree that, now that it has been transwikied over to Wiktionary, it is of little/no use to Wikipedia; but instead of deleting it, I think that it would be better to just have a soft redirect to that page on Wiktionary. Pig sticker

Feel free to delete my stub on Pig Sticker. I don't have the time right now to research it. LuisGomez111 (talk) 20:56, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Coordinates

I used Google Earth. Cheers. Trance addict 00:57, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, as a side comment, adding coordinates to Wikipedia articles seems to allow Google to 'locate' the article on Google Earth. On Google Earth, links to Wikipedia appear as a purple dot (from afar) and as the Wikipedia logo when you zoom in. For example, I started the Clark Mountain (California) article not too long ago and now a purple dot appears on Clark Mountain when you zoom in on GE. Download and/or open GE to see this. As for the Caltrain station and San Francisco skyscraper articles, expect these purple links to appear on GE by March. Cheers. Trance addict 04:10, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
