Tagging no-refs

You recently tagged he Dartmouth College v. Woodward article as containing no refs. Actually, it had lots. What was missing was the template include. Perhaps that would have been a more appropriate edit, but it seems it was a one-button clicker. I've noticed that when people use helper apps, like Friendly, tagging is so trivialized that you don't even have to think about the edit. I consider this trend harmful. Maury (talk) 14:43, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I think one cite is a little, considering the size of the article. Perhaps since there is one cite now, I should put the template {{refimprove}}, but I'll wait for your response. Pie is good (Apple is the best) 16:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Sigh. I guess I didn't save changes or something, I put in a whole bunch (well, four or five). Maury (talk) 12:04, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:E123 Omega.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:E123 Omega.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:30, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: GA Review

There's no review there yet? Gary King (talk) 01:50, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, nope. Its rather late where I live (11:55 PM where I live) and I'm afraid that I'm not a late night guy. Sorry. Don't worry. I will review it tomorrow morning. Pie is good (Apple is the best) 01:56, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Yep, no problem, I can wait. You must live in the Maritimes somewhere to have a time like that :) Gary King (talk) 01:57, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
If your review isn't complete, please let me know when it's done. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 21:19, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

2008 ACC Championship Game

I don't mind at all; I've been doing what additions I can, but until the teams are determined in late November, I can't add much more to the article unless some news happens. JKBrooks85 (talk) 21:33, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Janet Beed

A tag has been placed on Janet Beed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 00:40, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Review

Exactly what I was looking for in a review, you let me know exactly where I can improve. I will spend time on the List of documentary films article today to get that in line with Wikipedia standards. and sure in the next couple of days I will get to WP:XfDs to learn about that side of things. Thankyou--Theoneintraining (talk) 23:49, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Your welcome. As another note, you're very civil. :) Pie is good (Apple is the best) 23:50, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Hello, I've left comments on the above peer review. Dabomb87 (talk) 20:08, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

OK, then, you edit-war with the people who keep removing each and every notable animal whose death is reported. I've got better things to do. However, it stopped when that notice was added. --Rodhullandemu 21:11, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't know that such things happened. I'm sorry. Pie is good (Apple is the best) 21:16, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
No problem. It's customary on all list articles to cite criteria for inclusion, just as with Categories. That one just saves a lot of trouble. --Rodhullandemu 21:18, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
