Hi. I had to rv your edit to the above article. I do not understand why you removed the accent which is properly over the "i" in Ortíz. It also is not a tilde; a tilde is the following symbol:~. Yours, Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 19:22, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, I took care of Jose Jose, are you going to fix Victor Ortíz? Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 14:35, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

River Plate[edit]

Hello! As you suppose, I´m not a native English speaker so I was born in Argentina (where River Plate is from). I undone your edit because teams in South and Central American countries are commonly referred in singular, not plural, because they are seen as CLUBS as an individual (where multiple sports are practised) rather than teams. However, before editing your changes I took a look at the Real Madrid C.F. and other football pages to verify that singular person is used (and so it is).

Keep in mind that in most of those cases the pages of South American teams are edited by non native speakers of English, although the use of the singular may sound really odd to you. Feel free to make the changes you consider, you will surely find the best way to make a great grammar edit. Thanks for your consideration... a lot. I've found a really kind person. Schaivo[edit]

I saw your update on name pronunciation for Schaivo. Is it really a mispronunciation, or an alternate pronunciation? What are you basing your determination on? Ace-o-aces (talk) 15:39, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That may be how it's pronounced in Italy, but Americans pronounce the name differently. Since the case took place in Florida, I think the local pronunciation should be used. Ace-o-aces (talk) 01:32, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's a real simple rule, however someone says to pronounce their own name is the correct pronunciation. It doesn't matter if someone else thinks it should pronouced differently. It doesn't matter where the name was derived from. After all, we are trying to document they way things are, not how we think they should be. Ace-o-aces (talk) 20:23, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're coming very close to violating WP:3RR restrictions at the article. Please do not edit war; find consensus before putting it back in the article. NYyankees51 (talk) 04:20, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gilda[edit]

If you have been editing for some years, you never noticed how the phonetics should be put when the name is written in another language?, if you didn't know, i invite you to see these examples, "Paulo Coelho de Souza (/ˈkwɛljuː, kuˈɛl-, -joʊ/; Portuguese: [ˈpawlu kuˈeʎu])", another example: Lionel Andrés "Leo" Messi Cuccittini (Spanish pronunciation: [ljoˈnel anˈðɾes ˈmesi], another one: Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin (/ˈpuːtɪn/; Russian: Влади́мир Влади́мирович Пу́тин, IPA: [vɫɐˈdʲimʲɪr vɫɐˈdʲimʲɪrəvʲɪtɕ ˈputʲɪn]) this is the correct way in how the pronunciation should be put, there are thousands of examples more, check it by yourself.

And another thing, i can not always answer as soon as possible, i am not 24 hours editing here in Wikipedia, do you?, so you consider it the next time and be polite. Good night. Leonina666444 (talk) 21:22, 06 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
