Removal of PROD from Diego Orduña[edit]

Hello Black N Red, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Diego Orduña has been removed. It was removed by GiantSnowman with the following edit summary '(remove the PROD I have just added - has already been proposed & contested, so needs to go to AfD)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with GiantSnowman before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to take part in the article's current AfD. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 23:06, 3 August 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages)[reply]

Luis Ángel Landín[edit]

There's a reference that says he's on loan from Cruz Azul so if that was the case then it doesn't make sense about being on loan from Morelia and the page says he was sold to Cruz Azul. So I just asked WT:FOOTY about this. – Michael (talk) 20:00, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, I can't read spainish, and also accorting to FOX Sports, he was on loan from Cruz Azul and when I was watching the Sounders-New England match on ESPN2, I heard JP Delacamera say he's on loan from Cruz Azul. – Michael (talk) 18:25, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I know, and that doesn't make any sense at all, that's why I've asked WT:FOOTY and I'm surprised nobody responded yet, you can't be on loan from 2 clubs at once, he's either on loan from Morelia or Cruz Azul, if he's on loan from Cruz Azul, then Morelia doesn't own his contract rights anymore. – Michael (talk) 22:37, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Black N Red.[edit]

Hello. I was wondering if you could do me a favor. Please don't delete the medal images that have been put up on the Mexican Football National Team page. These are approved wikipedia images and they look kind of sharp. Thanks in advance for your kind compliance.

Always assuming good faith, I am....

Hey, It's me again.[edit]

Black N Red, Hello. It's catpooptv again. I put the medals back up on the Mexico national team Football page because the players actually do get medals for those competitions. Again, these are approved Wikipedia images so let's leave them up there, yeah? Thanks for for your understanding.

Still assuming good faith,

Los Angeles Lakers White House Image[edit]

Hello, You recently made this reversal here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Los_Angeles_Lakers&oldid=316502087

And here was your reasoning as to why it should be 2002 instead of 2001:

"it was 2002 because samaki walker was only in the 2002 championship squad and you can see him in the top left corner"

  • Here's the thing BlackNRed, NBA champions usually visit the white house the following season during their regular season matchups against the Washington Wizards (this has been an NBA tradition for some time now). The image was taken in January of 2002 which is following their 2001 Championship. They have yet to even make the 2002 Playoffs let alone win it all.. So your description is incorrect.

Here's an example: If you notice in this image of the Miami Heat visiting the White House It has Eddie Jones in the background even though EJ was not apart of that 2006 Miami Heat roster and was only on the Heat roster from 2000–2005 and the 2007 season. If you read the date of the photo it shows the image was taken during Febuary of 2007, so should this be labeled "following their 2007 Championship"? I don't think so..

Here's another photo from getty images. read the caption: http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/694968/Getty-Images-News

"Caption: 400219 03: U.S. President George W. Bush poses with the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team during a ceremony honoring the team for their 2001 NBA championship title January 28, 2002 at the White House in Washington DC. (Photo by Mark Wilson/Getty Images)"

Hope this cleared things up. Bye. :) -- ĴoeĴohnson|2 00:41, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for deletion nomination of Apertura 2009 F.C. Atlas Season[edit]

Why are you putting it up on deletion? It's similiar to other current seasons, just sort of out of date, but I've been working on that since I've been busy with some things in life. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kido477 (talkcontribs) 05:58, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mexican league season article response[edit]

Greetings. One article per season is the general consensus. So yes, put both tournaments into one article. If you need any help, let me know. And sorry for the delayed response, but I was on vacation. Slds. Digirami (talk) 07:31, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and created one season article for the Mexican league. See 2009–10 Primera División de México season. The only thing missing the results table for the Bicentenario. Digirami (talk) 07:34, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mexican league season article response[edit]

You started the article for the new season of bicentenario and i added new things .but some guy digrami keeps undoing it to the previous season and all he is doing is erasing info that redirects ti his edits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primera_División_de_México_Bicentenario_2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kkonghello (talkcontribs) 05:57, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just a friendly reminder - when you're updating player stats in infoboxes, please remember to change the pcupdate date to the date of the game you're adding. It really helps! Thanks. --JonBroxton (talk) 23:51, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please can you add a reference to the article indicating his move to Puebla and also update the main article text accordingly. Thanks. Eldumpo (talk) 20:34, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, following the structure of other national teams, I've created, so far, the schedules, results and some statistics for the national team in Mexico national football team 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. I don't know if the pages should be renamed to Mexico national football team XXXX results or keep it the way it is. I'm contacting you, because the information in those pages would be a duplicated of that found in Mexico national football team schedule and results and I'd like to know if you have any idea on how to start integrating both articles. Regards EOZyo (мѕğ) 02:22, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, there's no problem, feel free to make the changes you want :); I see you changed the date format, i set that way because in 2009 the names of the tournaments are too long and that messes up with the design, that's why I used the format 01-Jan-2009 just to save space; thanks for removing the extra "[[ ]]" from the tournament names in #Schedule. The worst of editing this kind of articles is to count the goals and yellow/red cards because you need to check game by game U_U, do you have an idea of other information that should be added to it? I was thinking on adding the players who participated in the national team that year like in United States men's national soccer team 2009 results#Statistics, let me know. Pablo Barrera[edit]

I don't understand why you're changing the Pablo Barrera stuff. I've got links and they're more reliable than yours and more recent. So send me a message telling me why you have to keep changing stuff, because I don't understand. Victor Mahbub, Pumas President, clearly states that the transfer is final. Please explain why you have change things, because for one thing it isn't your page, and second I actually have reliable sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Isra 6 (talkcontribs) 03:21, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marquez to NYRB[edit]

I don't understand what else you need. Surely a news report saying Marquez WILL join (not *may* join, or *might* join, but WILL join) is enough to confirm the transfer? It's not like I'm adding an unsourced rumor. I'm adding an unambiguous, verified statement of something that *IS* going to happen. --JonBroxton (talk) 21:02, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article 2010–11 Club Universidad Nacional season has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a sports almanac

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stifle (talk) 14:58, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to move this article to Atlante UTN as there seem to be more sources for this name ([1] [2] [3] [4]). Mexico 2011 Copa América squads player numbers[edit]

I want to ask you why do you erase the player numbers I place in the Mexico national football team page, corresponding to the Copa América players? Their numbers are in the reference 16 of the page, in the official Femexfut page, clearly shown in the table where the players are listed, under the column "Playera" which means shirt, and is precisely where the player numbers are placed during the game. Also, the numbers are in the official Copa América page. ProofR (talk) 01:32, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Font size[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you've been reformatting tables in association football player articles, changing the font size from 100% to 85%. I'm just wondering, why? The smaller the font is the more difficult it is for viewers to read, and I can't see any obvious benefits from the smaller size. Going by WP:Font#Font size, "large tables may require a decreased font size in order to fit on screen", but with the tables you have amended this is not the case as they fit fine at 100%. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 01:46, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please take heed of this comment. I will revert your recent edits where you've reduced the font size, on the grounds of WP:Font#Font size. If you want to discuss this topic rather than ignore my comments you're more than welcome to do so. Mattythewhite (talk) 13:20, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see how you conclude that smaller text look neat and large text looks "sloppy and huge". Simply, default-sized font is more visible and meets the guidelines set out at WP:Font#Font size. The line that you quouted from the guideline makes makes it explicit that smaller font size should only be recommended when default-sized font cannot fit on screen, which isn't the case in the pages I've changed. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 20:04, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
