Hi Crzycheetah. You commented at the above FLC a few days ago. I've addressed your concerns, and the page formatting has been corrected. Best, Matthewedwards :  Chat  04:06, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of members of the International Ice Hockey Federation[edit]

Hello, I just thought I'd give you a heads up that I made a change to the page. I switched the template I used {{IIHFteams}} so that it only includes blue links, and doesn't link everything else. However, the best part that if someone created a new page right now, it would automatically be linked. What so you think? -- Scorpion0422 23:53, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review and I fixed all of your concerns except 1 or 2 that I need some additional input on. Could you please swing back by and take a look. Thanks again.--Kumioko (talk) 13:22, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do you still think it should be merged? Dabomb87 (talk) 15:20, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I never thought about merging the Canadian list. I just think the layout of these number-one lists needs to be tweaked a little. The table, for example, is way longer than needed.--Crzycheetah 16:46, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Could you comment there please? It's lacking reviews, and if you could improve the table that would be great. Dabomb87 (talk) 00:36, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Hi Crzycheetah. I saw one of your comments at the NHL draft list regarding sourcing from just primary sources. While I was travelling, the following lists were promoted using just primary sources:

Would you care to nominate these lists for demotion? The Rambling Man (talk) 11:28, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See my reply at Matthewedwards (talk · contribs) talk page. I do think that there might be the possibility of using third-party sources in the female list, as there might be analysis/coverage over gender disparities, etc. Dabomb87 (talk) 14:14, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See my continuing discussion there too. Regardless of the merits of one particular list, this whole subject needs proper discussion. The Rambling Man (talk) 23:47, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crzycheetah, your merger of the tables has resulted in the loss of information about the ends and also the various "see also" links. There appears to be missing detail in the footnotes. I think I'm going to need to revert it back to the version before the one you modified and then merge it more carefully so as to not lose useful information. And, somewhat unfortunately, the list does not actually sort by date, as it was supposed to. Just wanted to let you know. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:01, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your comments. I suggest keeping List of international cricket centuries by Ricky Ponting and then creating Achievements of Ricky Ponting for all other records like at Achievements of Sachin Tendulkar. Then List of Test awards for Ricky Ponting could be merged into Achievements of Ricky Ponting along with other jargon. It would be a lot easier to do this. Hello Crzycheetah! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Article Feedback Tool update[edit]

Hey Crzycheetah. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:43, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting Guidance[edit]

Hello. I'm new to the wiki community and would like to start working on editing the property insurance page with the help and collaboration of more experienced contributors. Do you think you can help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lgkkitkat (talkcontribs) 16:14, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting Specific Guidance[edit]

Perhaps my initial request was too vague. There is a recommendation that the Chartis article be merged with AIG's page. I think the Property Insurance page could be strengthened with parts of AIG's page since it shows how current events and emerging trends effect it's regulation by the government. Hurricane Sandy and updated payouts of the WTC are not on the Property Insurance page either - which to me seem to be relevant. Do you think adding more information would be beneficial to the Property Insurance page? If so would you be interested in collaborating what facts should be included? Any response would be kindly appreciated. Thank you.Lgkkitkat (talk) 17:56, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I saw your conversation with Peejay long ago. I was one of the editors who previously removed those players from the table but i changed my mind. Some players like Will Keane, Pereira played the exhibition games. They were IN the squad. Invite to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: comments at FLCs[edit]

Hey there, I've been noticing several comments left by you at FLCs about what the director/delegate should do regarding specific nominations. Frankly, the limiting factor is not that we are unable to determine consensus or tell if an FLRC has been there too long or count up the supporters on a list and need someone to tell us what to do, it's whether we have the time right then to process the nominations, and it's not much help to let us know what you think we should do- for example, it would have been more useful on the Ariel Award list to ping the supporters from the first nomination to re-support, then to just tell us that we should count them again anyway. If you are interested in acting as a delegate, please sign up at the 2016 FLC election to possibly become one! --PresN 12:38, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I just reminded you RE FLRC, thought you had forgotten it. As for that Ariel page, I was worried that you would archive it due to the lack of supports, so I just updated it. Anyway, hopefully TRM will come on board and settle down everything.--Cheetah (talk) 22:47, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:31, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Armenia[edit]

Please refrain to edit disruptively on Armenia. Besides CIA, you removed other reliable sources. Discussions about the geographic location of Armenia took place many times on the Talk page, and you can find them on the archives, which I invite you to read. I kindly advice you that in case of another disruptive edit about this topic I will be force to report you to an administrator. Thanks, Alex2006 (talk) 17:57, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Retaliation templating[edit]

Hi, Crzycheetah. To shoot back the same template to somebody who just alerted you to discretionary sanctions, as you did here, is poor form. The discretionary sanctions template is for information, as the template itself clearly states; it's obvious that Alex2006 already has this information, since he gave it to you — isn't it? Don't you agree? In consequence, shunting the same info back to him can only be seen as harassment. Moreover, I see Alex2006 warned you above about specific removal of specific sources at Armenia. So you shot back a warning about using unreliable sources to him, in a rather pointless way, since you gave no specifics. Please remember that Wikipedia is not a battlefield. Uninvolved administrators, such as me, are watching the article, and if you edit uncollaboratively, such as sending harassing warnings, you could be sanctioned. Thank you. Bishonen | talk 19:39, 14 December 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Hi Bishonen, that information is also placed on the talk page of Armenia, where I made a post stating why I believe that a particular source is unreliable. It was obvious that I was aware of it. Sending that information to me, what Alex2006 did, was pointless. I assumed then that pointless posts are the norm now, so I just continued what he started. Thank you for telling me that Alex2006 apparently harassed me. I'll keep that in mind.--Cheetah (talk) 02:48, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Investment[edit]

Hey there! I just re-launched the WikiProject Investment.

The site has been fully revamped and updated and I would like to invite you the project.

Feel free to check out the project and ping me if you have any questions.

I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!

Armenia infobox[edit]

Please restore back the infobox history timeline. I notice you let the reverter remove the history of Armenia infobox. The fact that it even says "Traditional", 2492 BC, there is no reason to remove this since it's been here for over a decade in the Armenia article! 2602:304:CC93:CB80:7C06:E182:816A:EFE7 (talk) 18:55, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Armenia national under-21 football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page FC Ararat (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 02:24, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Jeff Moore (basketball) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail basketball notability guidelines.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Recent updates to first round draft pick lists[edit]

Hello! I noticed that on all of the NFC South first round NFL draft pick list pages, you undid my revisions and wanted to discuss them. It is very clear that these list pages are old, as they utilize an old format for list making. Almost every line has an "align-center" function, where my edits removed the need for this function in every line. Changing the quality of the sortable does this (as seen in List of Chicago Bears first-round draft picks). In addition, it seems clumsy to link to the positions in every single line. I would not be against adding in a position key above the list to explain the abbreviations, but the positions abbreviated and delinked looks much nicer. This is the standard for the college draft picks list pages (such as List of SMU Mustangs in the NFL Draft). I am also alright with keeping the bolded names in the Carolina Panthers list, even though few other first-round draft pick lists have them. Let me know what you think. Debartolo2917 (talk) 15:47, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at List of Detroit Lions first-round draft picks for an example of where a key succinctly shows position abbreviations with links. Debartolo2917 (talk) 17:14, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Debartolo2917. The lists I undid your changes in have that gold star on the right upper corner. That means it's among featured lists of Wikipedia. If you want to make those changes, go thru the WP:FLC process first. Yes, some of your changes were fine and some were not. Thanks for your interest in these lists.--Cheetah (talk) 08:13, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confused what this is trying to do. Do you want me to get other lists featured? I don't see why I cannot edit the lists. What does "going through the WP:FLC process mean? Is there a template I am missing/need to discuss updating? Let me know. Debartolo2917 (talk) 04:49, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The format that lists with the star use are approved by wikipedians as the best work Wikipedia can offer. You're changing that format. Now, I am just saying if you go thru the FLC process and get approved with your format, then you can make those changes. --Cheetah (talk) 06:20, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
