File:Pittsb steelers uniforms12.png

You need to fix this graphic:

File:Pittsb steelers uniforms12.png

I otherwise have no issues with it, but THERE IS NO LOGO ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HELMET! Jgera5 (talk) 05:12, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

I put the logo on the helmet because the template I designed (which I have used for all the uniforms I'm updating) displays the left side of it. No more than that. I don´t consider this issue so relevant but I'll fix it if necessary. And please, you don't need to write in capital letters, it sounds a bit agressive and unpolite. Thanks. - Fma12 (talk) 10:17, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
I saw that you fixed it, thanks! And sorry for any flaming, as a Steelers fan I'm a little OCD about the helmet logo. Jgera5 (talk) 14:39, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Luís Fernando Gaúcho (Ptg) to Luis Fernando (Eng)

Hey I was wondering if you knew of a way of connecting wiki's that are in one language to another, w/o creating an entirely new page in the second language? Here's my dilemma; the Brazilian footballer Luís Fernando Gaúcho played in the NASL for LA Aztecs and Tampa Bay Rowdies under the name "Luis Fernando" and was an All-star in 1980, scoring 28 goals in 28 matches that season. He has a page on the Portuguese Wikipedia because he had previously won a scoring title in Brazil. Is it possible to link the "pt.wikipedia.org" of -Luís Fernando Gaúcho- to the All Star section of the 1980 North American Soccer League season on "en.wikipedia.org" without too much trouble? The Portuguese page in question can be found here: http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lu%C3%ADs_Fernando_Ga%C3%BAcho thanks (in advance) for any help or good advice. kind regards, Creativewill (talk) 18:40, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Creativewill, thanks for your contact; I'm not sure if the manual of style allows to link to other languages wiki pages. I created several articles here but I did them translating the contents from the Spanish Wikipedia (p.e: some Argentine sportsmen or teams such as Atenas de Córdoba or Marcelo Milanesio). Although I'm not an expert in Portugese languege, I understand some words, let me check the article, maybe I can translate its contents to English. Do you agree? That's the best I can do, I hope this helps. - Fma12 (talk) 23:35, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Since his Portuguese bio is so very brief and basic in content, I can create the English page if that's the way it needs to be done. I don't want to trouble you. I just wondered if a filter or link allowed for an easier solution. Thank you again. -Creativewill (talk) 14:03, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Jaguars uniforms

Any updates on the Jaguars uniform image? ~ Richmond96 TC 22:41, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi pal, sorry for the delay but I have been doing other uniforms for NFL and NCAA teams and got distracted about feedback on talk pages. I suggest that you make the changes to the Jaguars uniform, editing the image. The reason is I'm actually designing more new uniforms for NFL teams (just like the Rams, Ravens and , even adding throwback uniforms in some cases and this takes much of my time). To be frank, I prefer to focus on new designs rather than editing the old ones, at least until I have completed the job. Nevertheless, if you need some assistance, please make feel to contact me as much as you need. Regards, ;) - Fma12 (talk) 23:12, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
No worries... I'm glad you are working on the new college uniforms. Keep up the great work. By the way... the Florida Gators will have slightly different uniforms in 2013. Let me know if you are interested in creating those... ~ Richmond96 TC 23:34, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Two new articles

Hello Fma12,

I wanted to let you know that I have created two more comic book articles. Time Warp (comics) was a five-issue science-fiction series published by DC Comics in 1979 and 1980. Sol Harrison was a long time production manager and colorist for DC Comics and finished his career by serving as the company's president. Hope that all is well with you and that you enjoy the articles.

Best regards,

Paddy McCarthy and Boca Juniors kits

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_%28Paddy%29_McCarthy I have a new links for you to take a look at m8 that has evidence and sources to support that the kits of Boca Juniors and colors are from the Tipperary GAA Team, Boca have received Jersey from the Tipperary GAA on more than one occasion that's why the kits have changed over the years of 1905 to 1907 due to the champions of Tipperary county GAA changed over the same time period as the title changed over the years in tha County. The version of the boat with the Swedish flag may be the origin and official story of the colors, but the jerseys they use where most defiantly Tipperary GAA Jersey's. you should take a look at the links of Paddy McCarthy and Boca Juniors?

sources:Ref: (The Evolution of the GAA) you can buy a copy of the book on Amazon

Hi friend, I was reading your article as well as the links you put on the page to take a deeper view about McCarthy's legacy and his influence on Argentine sport. According to the flag that is visible on the wall (Facebook video), the tippearary GAA team had the same colors and design than Boca Jrs. Well, I don't call into question your version about the founders of the club and the origins of its colors. But... the official version is different, you known. Boca Juniors had not a founding charter so the founding members established the club with no signed documents. Nevertheless, in 1925 Boca promulgated its statute (See here) and the section history at the official site does not recognize the labor of McCarthy, citing Santiago Sana, Alfredo Scarpatti, Esteban Baglietto and the Farenga Brothers as founding members, without mentioning Paddy. (See here).
Because of that, I think that citing McCarthy as the founder of the club on WP articles should not be recommendable. Nevertheless, on the Boca Juniors article it is stated that William Murray refers McCarthy as the only founder of the institution. The paragraph could be copied into McCarthy article if you agree. Thanks, - Fma12 (talk) 18:37, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for getting back to me m8 on subject i appreciate it, I see what you mean about the foundation of Boca Jrs, Boca have no official records of Paddy McCarthy and Tipperary on the Boca Juniors web site, which is areal shame because i really believe he played some part in the foundation of Boca Jrs and there home strips. The article on Paddy McCarthy was more or less just coped and pasted from there sources and REF i don't have any real experiences with creating Wiki articles. i have no problem with you editing what you think needs to be changed on the article. I can see you have more knowledge on the subject of Argentina football than me and i would like you to add or edited what you see fit and thanks again Fma12 regards Gazzas46zs (talk) 21:32, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

That's great! Hadn't seen that image before. I'm going to nominate the article again, if you could read it and check for mistakes, that would be great. I'll do so myself too. Thanks!—Nuno93 (talk) 23:56, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Re: Kc chiefs uniforms.png

Your file you created of the Kansas City Chiefs uniform is inaccurate. It is missing the AFL patch.--Rockchalk717 22:50, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi (You forgot to greet...., didn't you?). If a patch is missing, I can fix it, but you don't need to remove the entire uniform from the page because of that. I consider that a patch is not more relevant than the uniform and colors themselves so it is shown with identification purposes rather than an exact representation of the outfit. However, I'll add the patch as soon as I can but please don't remove the file from the page again. Regards, - Fma12 (talk) 11:08, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. I provided a link to photo of the patch in my previous update it's on the players left shoulder on the front side.--Rockchalk717 15:42, 6 September 2013 (UTC)--Rockchalk717 15:42, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

san isidro

Hi fma, the removal of the notable players section was not vandalism. The section itself was completely unsourced. Additionally I have checked all the players articles too and there is no clear indication even on them that they played 100 games either. As such this section is completely unverifiable by any reader hence why it was removed. Can I please suggest you have a read of WP:V and WP:OR as well and consider how they apply to the section, particularly the four players who do not even have WP articles and the one that for some reason is almost entirely in Spanish. These are fundamental tenets of WP which I assume you are aware of so not sure why you think it is fine to add back wholly unreferenced sections. You may also wish to consider the inherent OR involved in an editor arbitrarily deciding that 100 games makes a player worthy for special mention. Finally with this in mind it would be better for all concerned if you AGF and avoided calling editors vandals in edit summaries.

Please don't add the section back without reliable sourcing. Thanks. Fenix down (talk) 21:22, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Fenix down. Because of your removal, I have recently added sources that mention many Club Atlético San Isidro players as "notable" for the institution. About the requirement of having played 100 games or more, I'd have to search for further information, which is not an easy task so rugby is not very popular in Argentina. What I called my atention is the way you erased all the content in this and other sports articles. I'm a long time editor so I know many of the paramethers and rules of WP, thanks for the suggestion anyway.
Please keep in mind that I'm talking about C.A. San Isidro (not San Isidro Club which is other article)
I did not affirm you are a "vandal", although your massive erasing of content was acting like one of them (this is my subjective opinion, of course). What I suggest you is to start a discussion on article's talk page before removing an entire section as you did in this article. It would have been the most appropriate way to reach a consensus. Also keep in mind that I DID NOT add the "notable players" list to the article. Moreover, it is important to clear you that I don't usually add unsourced content to WP pages. Thanks - Fma12 (talk) 22:14, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
The removal of unsourced material, particularly when it is specifically saying that "these are the most notable players of all time" is not vandalism in any sense. There is absolutely no place in WP for this sort of subjective OR editing. There is no need to take such unreferenced sections to the talk page for this very reason, the section is not lost, when / if sources can be provided it can be added back. Until then, in its current state, there is absolutely no acceptable argument for its continued inclusion. I appreciate that you may not have originally written the section, but by adding it back you must accept that you take as much responsibility for its inclusion as the original editor. Whilst I still have inherent issues with editors deciding on a benchmark of xxx games being sufficient for such a section without reliable sources also showing this criterion, that is a minor point, I would be happy for this section to be added back providing, at the very least, the individual players articles reliably source their lnumber of competitive appearances. For those players who do not have WP articles, they should be sourced on the club article or removed altogether. Cheers. Fenix down (talk) 08:09, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Argentina roster template

Hello.

Thanks for backing out your own change to Template:2012 Summer Olympics Argentina men's field hockey team roster. The intended use for this template, and others in the same category, is as a convenience template, i.e. it contains a certain amount of data that otherwise would be repeated across several pages, and thus would require maintenance across the same pages. Instead, maintenance is only required once.

It is not intended as a footer template, for cross-navigation between players in the squad. You can create a such for the Argentine team, if you'd like.

Regards

That's a non-official logo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.112.175.146 (talk) 04:37, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

This is really an unofficial logo, the "SPFC" IS disproportionate, just like the logo size itself. Please, stop YOU putting things you don't know is official or not.

You are not wrong and you know it: the logo is exactly the same than the current one placed here as a "non-free image". I have just reported your constant disruptive edits, I'm sorry for you, "anonymous". - Fma12 (talk) 22:57, 22 October 2013 (UTC).

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Real Madrid C.F., please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Please familiarize yourself with the use of galleries. The image can be used in the infobox, but not in a gallery. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:15, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

You clearly ignore what Wikimedia Commons and its policy of license are; they are not "just an external site." I just wasted much of my time dealing with you, all of your edits were disruptive. - Fma12 (talk) 19:55, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
You are clearly ignoring the fair use guidelines. There is no fair use for a copyrighted image in the gallery. The current logo is copyrighted according to the commons and so cannot be used in a gallery despite its use in the infobox, where it is free to be used. See WP:Galleries. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:19, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
I understood the point about the current logo. But in the first two reversions you had erased all the logos (not only the copyrighted one). Moreover, if you had quit only the 2001 logo from the gallery, I wouldn't had reacted as I did. To conclude, check that I don't erase your messages from my talk page as you did with mine. - Fma12 (talk) 20:25, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Justin Bieber shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. GB fan 18:30, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Conduct

we have basic conduct expectations please take the time and read Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle... dont want to see you blocked because your not following basic procedure. -- Moxy (talk) 18:33, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

If I was blocked, you should be blocked also because of your behaviour. In fact, you broke the 3RR rules (or were about to do it). The page you cited includes this phrase: "Rather than reverting, try to respond with your own BOLD edit if you can" (you did exactly the opposite to this). So, before warning other users, I suggest you to look over your procedures first. - Fma12 (talk) 18:38, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
As long as you can follow our basic procedure you should not get blocked. Just wait see what others have to say perhaps they will like the 3 paragraphs with some speculations and there sources. -- Moxy (talk) 18:43, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
This is what I'm discussing with you at Bieber's talk page. If 3 paragraphs are too extensive to explain a controversy issue... shouldn't it be better to make it shorter instead of reverting all the content ? . - Fma12 (talk) 18:49, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
You are correct it could be trimmed but unfortunate we here at English Wikipedia cant read the source because of the language of the source...thus cant make a reasonable edit based on the sources. -- Moxy (talk) 18:53, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Moxy do stop being so pompous. patronising and bullying to this editor. There is no obligation at all to use only sources written in English. I frequently use foreign language references - why is this a problem for you? The world would be a pretty poor place if we were all forced to rely only on sources which could be understood by the people of America - you need to get out more. Finally, when speaking in the first person, it's considered vulgar to use the "royal we."  Giano  21:33, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Giano for your support. Indeed I can trim the section a little bit if necessary, but I still consider that the incidents in Argentina must be included in the article and they were supressed by the editor arbitrarily. I don't want to be involved in an edit war again but I'll defend what I think is right. There is no need to use only sources in English (at least, WP does not specify anything about this), moreover the incidents happened in Argentina so they were covered most by local media, of course (although then the news spreaded around the world). - Fma12 (talk) 21:50, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Lets be clear here since your getting advice from someone not familiar with the problem at hand. You are free to use sources in any language but cant expect our English editors to edit your additions if they cant read the sources. This is something you will have to do as the majority here will not be able to understand the source(s). We have very basic procedures that can be followed.... propose a new paragraph to deal with the length problem that has been raised or even better yet see if there are English sources so others can help. As for the article everyday people try to add what made the news....with the majority not being notable. -- Moxy (talk) 00:37, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
First of all: I didn't get for advise; user Giano came here alone, probably after reading the discussion on JB article. About the subject of this discussion, you talk about "procedures that must be followed" although you preferred to delete all the edit instead of correcting it. Specifically, the incident that involved JB sweeping the door with the Argentine flag was true and proved; it was covered by reliable newspapers and agencies not only from Argentina (here, here -this link inlcudes to video so the incident was shoot and later reproduced on youtube and social networks- but international media (as seen here, amongst other sources). Due to this incident JB was sueded by local lawyers (this is also a fact, as told on this Spanish web). Nevertheless, you arbitrarily deleted the edit from the article, considering them "not relevants" as only argument, then alleging such absurd causes like "the links are not in Spanish", as if he was a sort of judge that decides what deserves to be included and what not.
As you usually follow the procedures, I suggest you to leave your feedback on Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Justin_Bieber_redux where this issue is being discussing. Thanks - Fma12 (talk) 12:51, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Adding new kit to a template

Greetings

I noticed that you added a few new patterns to the football kit template. I can't seem to find a pattern that will work for the team I would like to update and would love to add a pattern that could be used.

How do you do that because it seems I'm to new here to figure it out?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by OttoSilver (talkcontribs) 02:25, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi OttoSilver
Thanks for contacting me. In fact I have designed and added new patterns for football and rugby union kit templates. I usually create and edit the uniforms with |Adobe Photoshop which is perfect for those purposes. I would gladly make the kit you want to update; just give me photos of the jerseys and I'll reply about this a.s.a.p.
Best regards, - Fma12 (talk) 01:56, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

I would not want to bother you with making them for me. There is a whole list of historic uniforms for the club I support as well as uniforms for the lower leagues in Korean football. I reckon I can do the image editing myself with Photoshop. Most of the time the problem is that there are images for some colours, but not what I need. After editing I have no idea how to go on. I don't know how upload or what the rules are for adding them. OttoSilver (talk) 14:41, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

I'm really pleased to help you as much as I can ;). The templates for creating your personalized uniforms is located here. And once you have finished editing the uniform with Photoshop, you can upload directly to Wikimedia Commons, licensing it as "own work". If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to contact me. Good luck! - Fma12 (talk) 20:54, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
