Jerry Goldsmith[edit]

Hey, thanks for adding an AFI section on the Jerry Goldsmith article. I've been meaning to give that whole article a massive overhaul soon, but haven't got around to it yet. I've seen stubs with more sources, too. - jg2904 (Talk) 15:19, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I figured it was necessary since he was one of the great composers of film. -Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 16:37, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the overhaul of the Jerry Goldsmith article is virtually complete. What do you think? Jg2904 (Talk) 15:52, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's best to merge it with the "Oscars" section. --Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 16:03, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nino Rota[edit]

Hi Drunkenpeter99 - I noticed that you added some awards to Nino Rota. Looks good. I also have been working on Rota recently - especially the Nino Rota discography. I think that it might be appropriate (for one of us) to add an Awards and nominations section to Nino Rota. He got a lot of them! This is often done. E.g., see Audrey Hepburn or Danny Elfman. Many of Rota's awards can be found here at IMDb. There are even more awards if you look in Europe. What do you think of this idea? You can respond here (or on my talk page if you wish). Thank you for your time.--Foobarnix (talk) 21:54, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think that can be arranged. --Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 22:46, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Pushing Daisies (Original Television Soundtrack).jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Pushing Daisies (Original Television Soundtrack).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 07:51, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I don't recall uploading that image. Or maybe I did and just forgot about it. --Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 12:12, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dp,

Thanks for your recent contributions to Nielsen ratings. You recently added total viewership data (in millions) for the top-rated shows. Can you please provide a source for this data? None of the four sources listed in that section cite those numbers, so you must provide a citation. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 21:11, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article 7 x 13 = 28 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced article about comedy routine with no significant claim to Notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sadads (talk) 18:21, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead, delete it. It was a bad idea anyway. --Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 01:43, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

June 2011[edit]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Carrie (1976 film). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 18:50, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I was just adding the AFI nominations for Carrie. --Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 11:48, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Right, but you need to cite where you're getting the information from. I'd recommend a source other than IMDb; perhaps there's a website for AFI that mentions the nominations? Doniago (talk) 14:00, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, there is. They have downloads of all the nominees for their lists on their website.

We need reliable sources for our edits[edit]

Forums are not reliable sources for information such as the TV Guide 2004 list you've been adding to articles. Just look up the relevant issue of the magazine at a library and cite that! --Orange Mike | Talk 14:08, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, there is a library of TV Guide magazines. I'll just use that as a reference.

American Broadcasting Company[edit]

Hi Drunkenpeter - when adding information about ABC's recent primetime special, please use [[American Broadcasting Company|ABC]], as ABC links to a disambiguation page. Thanks, and happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:25, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

Hello, I think you should stop creating all these categories for TV awards. They're beyond over-categorization, and will all probably be deleted. Some of them are already up for deletion, so it'd be nice if you'd stop creating them, because you're probably wasting your time creating and adding them, and then them having to be nominated for deletion and then removed. Thanks. Drovethrughosts (talk) 01:31, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Very well. Go ahead and delete them all. I didn't have to do this anyway.--Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 01:36, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTDIR - the specific list, in itself, does not seem notable.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Chzz  ►  14:49, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do what you want. I was just trying to post every TV Guide list I could find. --Drunkenpeter99 (talk) 14:51, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

August 2011[edit]

TV Guide lists[edit]

Stop posting all these TV guide lists on Wikipedia, they are considered a copyright violation, see this to explain why. Thanks Secret account 04:04, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The URL http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/20/pixar-announces-two-new-films_n_932198.html?ir=Entertainment reveals new titles of Pixar films. I added the titles successfully, but I cannot add this URL as a reference. Can you do it?? Georgia guy (talk) 20:30, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Honeymooner Saturdays[edit]

I think you'll find all the CBS episodes originally aired on Saturdays — I think it was the only night Gleason ever ran on CBS.  :) — HarringtonSmith (talk) 17:28, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
