Hi there. I have restored this image for you, so that you can add the appropriate copyright information. The reason that it was deleted was that whenever images are uploaded and given a license type that Wikipedia can't use, it is automatically put into a "speedy deletion" category (see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, specifically item I3). Candidates for speedy deletion are deleted almost immediately.

I've marked the restored image with {{untagged}} which gives you seven days to apply a copyright tag before anyone tries to delete it again. If you have any questions about what tag to add, please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. If you have any further questions on my actions please feel free to ask me.

Awesome! I appreciate it. I've switched the image to a CC license, since that seems to be fairly painless.

Vancouverism[edit]

Good start on the article! Hope you don't mind my contributions. Dionix (talk) 18:09, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Don Hings.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Since you're not the author of this image, and since it's not been published with a free license by the author, you have to go through a few more hoops. Wikipedia has a page that explains how an heir can submit proof of ownership of an image, but I can't remember what it is. I'm going to ask for help; if I don't reply in a day or two, please remind me at my talk page. Nyttend (talk) 01:03, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Groovology has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not an accepted term, made-up term, not notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Dan Griscom (talk) 11:29, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Groovology[edit]

An article you have contributed to on Groovology has been archived in case of deletion at a link that I am not supposed to tell you because it's spam. Please message or email me if you wish to hear about my Wikia site.

Thanks,
