I live near Seattle, in Washington state, on the west coast of the USA. I concentrate on writing and improving articles in my areas of interest: electronics, physics, horology, history of technology, pacifism, and international folk dance. I specialize in making STEM articles more understandable for the general reader, as I feel WP has a problem in this area. Another interest is combating pseudoscience in WP articles.

"Those who tell the stories rule society" - Plato
Through no desire of our own, Wikipedia is becoming a gatekeeper of the stories that the world tells itself, and believes. We have a heavy responsibility to make sure these are true stories (facts) and not false stories (misinformation, fake news, disinformation, propaganda, bigotry, slander, rumors, myths, pseudoscience). Because the rest of social media has chosen a business model in which their income depends on users spreading false stories.
