Independent or Liberal[edit]

The Article was originally set up with Davey as a member of the New Zealand Liberal Party, but this was later changed to an Independent. That latter change is not supported by inline referencing, but I note that the 1985 version of the New Zealand Parliamentary Record lists him as a Liberal Party member. If any of the other sources listed under further reading supports the notion that he was an Independent, please convert that to inline referencing, and maybe discuss it here on the talk page.
