Tunku Varadarajan (4 March 2022). "The Two Blunders That Caused the Ukraine War". Wall Street Journal. Mr. Service, 74, is a veteran historian of Russia, a professor emeritus at St. Antony's College, Oxford and a fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution. He has written biographies of Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky. The last work, published in 2009, attracted the ire of die-hard Trotskyites world-wide for saying that their hero shared many basic ideas with Lenin and Stalin on the "one-party, one ideology terror state." Mr. Service says they still "mess around" his Wikipedia entry.

I removed this thing because this is neither valid criticism of his work nor anything of encyclopedic value. This is just a personal squabble of two historians. My very best wishes (talk) 22:18, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A suspicious source[edit]

I checked this ref. It tells about a review of the book by 14 historians. However, it does not provide any link or reference to this review. Does it really exist? Am I missing something? My very best wishes (talk) 00:17, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
