Fixing some syntax errors in citations: one question.[edit]

Hi there, I'm trying to fix CS1 errors (errors in citations) from an automatically generated list. I saw that the URL for one of your citations looks like it's a quote from a page titled "Theodor Herzl" from the Herzl institute's website. However, when I tried to track it down to fix it for you I wasn't able to match your quote exactly to the page that I found. Is this the page you were citing? Have they just modified their text slightly or is that your own prose? I'd love to fix it for you if you are having trouble with the syntax of citations. I just tried to fix a couple more CS1 errors on this page and tried to track down the article you were citing, however, I see that it's a chapter in a book: https://www.jstor.org/stable/10.7591/j.ctv5qdjn7

I would use this template for that purpose: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Cite_book

You can put the chapter which you are citing within the "|chapter=" parameter (it's explained in the table on the template page which I linked to above).

The error that your citation is generating is being caused by using both the page and pages parameters. You should pick one and delete the other. Additionally, the three repeat citations can be collapsed into one and the citation can be reused. I do see, however, that you are a student so you should do whatever you need to do to comply with your professor's guidelines.

Some suggestions for future improvement[edit]

Hi Arponce and future editors, I added a to-do list template at the top of the talk page with some easy suggestions for improving the article, however, I wanted to add a comment here as well.

In the Theodor Herzl section I notice that it relies heavily on one book chapter. Is there relevant information from other sources that could be added or used to verify that author's analysis?
I have a similar reaction to the other sections, however, it isn't necessary to do this (albeit it would improve the article).
Finally, after having read the article, I see that the lead section should be rewritten to mention the additional information that you have included in the body of the article and I think there is information that you mention in the lead that should also be added to the body. Refer to this guide to see what I mean: WP:MOSLEAD.

I second that. This entire article is heavily reliant on one source.

Term[edit]

Hi, the Article seems to be mostly conjecture from some passages of the cited works of Aschheim and Golomb. To me as a reader it remains unclear if this is meant to be an article about a certain movement with common goals and internal discussion, or if it simply traces the very widespread influence of Neitsches writings among European intellectuals, of which the mentioned Zionist figures are a subgroup. Is ist about Nietscheanism among Zionists? or within Zionism? Is there a special School of Zionism that is inherently Nietzschean?
