MAKE UP YOUR MIND PEOPLE ![edit]

Nearly everytime I come here someone gets rid of episode summeries then another person puts it back. Instade of starting an edit war here( it happened twice sence the page was made and I know it will happen again) If you want an episode summery just make the page you can do it in more detail and we won't have an edit battle happen. Superx 21:00, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hold on. You mean to tell me, through all this drama NO ONE had thought of that before you?!
Come on people! There is no question about it. We NEED episode summeries. I'm hgoing to mark this article "under construction". There is just no excuse as to why we don't have each episodes information. ThegreatWakkorati (talk) 18:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lets settle this now![edit]

Ok a edit war has been raging since this pages creation, someone removes episode summeries, then someone else aids them again so lets just get this over with. Lets settle this like this, we Vote. I'll do the first then others vote and will deside that way. Summeries or no Summeries?

  • I agree because they tell people what is focal point of each episode Superx 01:20, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the last version with episode summaries.[1] I'm in favor of adding them, but at the same time, would express concern over potential copyvio. -- Robocoder (t|c) 22:31, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh surely you can do better than that. They are too small...but they will have to do for now, I guess.ThegreatWakkorati (talk) 06:11, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps if you spent more time working and less time moaning, the summaries would be more to your liking.
Nice job, Robocoder - this page has had no useful work done on it for months, apart from cleaning out vandalism and hoaxes. Nice to see somebody making positive changes. Majorclanger (talk) 11:33, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The previous summaries that were removed were indeed a copyvio. They were a literal cut & paste from the NickJr site. And with respect to the current summaries being too short, in my defense, I was editing while babysitting a 2 yo toddler. -- Robocoder (t|c) 14:25, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That explains a lot.ThegreatWakkorati (talk) 18:34, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistencies with other Dora episode guides[edit]

Does anyone know why this listing is not consistent with other posted Dora episode guides? For example, the episode list at TV.com shows "The Search for the City of Lost Toys" as the last episode in season 1, whereas this list has what seems to be the same episode as "The Lost City" in season 3. There are other inconsistencies as well.

Pheran 21:36, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm adding the official episode (production) codes assigned by NickJr. This might change up the list somewhat, but overall, it's more definitive. -- Robocoder (t|c) 15:56, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've resorted to listing NickJr's production title first. Alternate titles, including those shown in the closing credits, are shown in parentheses. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. -- Robocoder (t|c)

No.. come on! this is an EPISODE GUIDE. Not a PRODUCTION GUIDE! Episode guides, as maintained on many other sites like TV.com epguides.com etc do NOT use "Production codes" to determine episode lists. Episode lists are normally shown in "aired order" or, the order that the company decides/decided to air them. NOT in the order they produced them. I propose we re-edit this complete list and make it a proper "EPISODE list" with the "Production codes" and "Production titles" as additional information, just like the rest of the known world!!! Herra2006 (talk) 13:04, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DVD releases[edit]

Having reverted the "Undercover Dora" edit, it may be of interest to create another list which contains the episode compilations on DVD (and VHS?) releases, e.g., DVD title, episodes included, and perhaps UPC (or ASIN). -- Robocoder (t|c) 15:21, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete List[edit]

Someone must add "Boot's Banana Wish" to the article. THANKS. Thomas (Talk) 14 March 2010 6:31 PM (UTC) 74.12.125.110 (talk) 22:31, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Dates Make No Sense[edit]

A lot of the dates make no sense at all. How could there be so many episodes years before the show premiered, and how could the seasons end years before they began? Alphius (talk) 21:14, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Series premiere[edit]

You say that the first episode of the series that debuted in 2000 is The Big Red Chicken? So I think his real release date was on August 14, 2000 in the US and October 23 in Latin America. Felipe.ir.1999 (talk) 13:01, 3 August 2015 (GMT-7)

Felipe.ir.1999 Providing a reference, like this one would have been helpful. I have fixed the mistake along with the rest of the date mistakes in that season. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:15, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well, does this mean that have restricted the opening of new chapters that were to be released by the end of 2014 and early 2015 to date? Why? Felipe.ir.1999 (talk) 22:53, 8 September 2015 (GMT-7)

You mean that after the end of the released in the US on June 5, 2014 series, returned to screens Nickelodeon on September 18, 2015 before the episode aired Return to the Rainforest the second season of the cartoon Dora and Friends: Into the City! 15 years after the US release? Dora's World Adventure[edit]

@Geraldo Perez: The airdate listed here for Dora's World Adventure is October 10, 2006. Not sure what that is based off of, because I just found a press release from October 2006 saying that the DVD would be released on October 10, 2006, but the primetime special would air on November 19, 2006. Reason I'm asking is because I digitized one of my old VHS tapes which has the premiere of the episode recorded on it. The infobox in the video says it is on November 19, 2006 at 8pm, just like the press release states. The video also has the 'new' screenbug on screen. Would love to understand this, thanks in advance. Magitroopa (talk) 17:14, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Magitroopa: Amazon lists it as airing November 19, 2006 too and they are generally right about air dates. Looks like the DVD release date is being listed here but we should be listing first air dates in the episode list. The press release looks to be correct. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:40, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is "Dora's Super Soccer Showdown" really the series finale?[edit]

I can't seem to find any proof of that, and unless some kind of hoax got spread pretty widely at some point, there seems to be ample indication that the series continued beyond that episode and that there were more than 14 episodes in season 8. For example, this:

http://nickalive.blogspot.com/2018/01/nick-jr-usa-digitally-premieres-dora.html

Which says an episode premiered just last year. Alphius (talk) 19:19, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New Dora[edit]

So we have the, "never-before-seen special" airing (Saves Fairytale Land), with some others added on the list too. The production codes are certainly unsourced, as they do not appear on Futon Critic. We do know that the "Saves Fairytale Land" special is airing tonight, but how exactly should this go? Certainly isn't a "new"/"just made" special, it's been on the shelves for a while and hasn't aired until now. How should this work? I wouldn't think it should belong in the "2013-14" section anyways no matter what, or maybe that needs to change to "2013-19"? Would love to figure this out. Magitroopa (talk) 18:38, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nickelodeon "holds off" episodes of their shows all the time; for example, Robot and Monster went on an unannounced hiatus after airing most of its episodes in 2012, and the finale didn't air until 2015. This is just another example of Nick finishing a series after a long period without any premieres. I've changed the date to "2013-19." FunhausFrank (talk) 18:31, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've also moved the Canadian/UK season 8 air dates to notes; as an American show, the "original air dates" are when they debuted in the country of origin, not the first airing anywhere. This same scenario has happened at SpongeBob SquarePants (season 12) and Welcome to the Wayne; the episodes were shown internationally before they eventually premiered in the U.S. FunhausFrank (talk) 18:31, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Season 2 or Season 3?[edit]

Is The Lost City supposed to be a Season 3 episode? I have some reasons: The Explorer Stars were in it, the Season 3 theme song played, etc. Similarly, Who's Birthday Is It? (the episode released before The Lost City), should be a Season 3 episode because of the Season 3 opening. Can you answer back to me if I'm right? Thank You! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:401:C401:9850:68EE:9300:13A6:C623 (talk) 00:14, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have another question: Did you know the episode Swiper the Explorer, had Kathleen Herles and the other original voice actors? It was produced in 2003. Thank you!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:401:C401:9850:3C55:B0C6:D2C6:BD38 (talk) 18:54, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Series overview[edit]

Due to recent contributions on this page, can somebody please change some info about season 6 to coincide with the contributions?

The following is I want somebody to change:

1. The number of episodes for season 6. Because of the recent contributions, season 6 now consists of 18 episodes instead of 19.

2. The end date for season 6. Due to the aforementioned contributions, the episode "Dora in Troll Land" is now considered the final episode of Season 6. The aforementioned episode aired on May 16, 2012. Can somebody please change the finale date for season 6 to May 16, 2012? 2600:1001:B02B:1776:908D:ABFC:1B93:EFBE (talk) 17:21, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Season 7[edit]

I noticed some errors in the Season 7 episode table, and I knew that it would only be reasonable if those errors were addressed.

In terms of airdates, The Futon Critic is correct on this one. The episode "Dora's Rescue in Mermaid Kingdom" actually aired on March 16, 2012. Also, I checked the current airdates and ratings for episodes 151-153, and I find it really weird and interesting that ratings for November 26-December 2 are used for episodes that aired from November 13-15. Once again, The Futon Critic is correct on this matter, meaning that that premiere week actually took place from November 26-29. The premiere date for "Book Explorers" is correct. Meanwhile, "Check Up Day" actually aired on November 27, "Little Map" actually aired on November 28, and "¡Vamos a Pintar!" actually aired on November 29. I don’t even know why Zap2it is used as a source for airdates, as a recent contributor to this article even said that Zap2it just copies the airdates that Wikipedia has, and sometimes they aren’t even correct.

With that being said, can somebody please re-arrange the Season 7 episode table to the following below:

Also notice that I made some edits to some of the episode summaries and rating URLs.

P.S. If anyone does make this change, can somebody also change the Season 7 start date to March 16, 2012.
