He is no more an American citizen. He changed his passport right before coming back to his home land and Iranian government immediately issued him a new Iranian passport. Iran does not recognize dual nationality. Mitso Bel 17:17, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He is an American citizen and will be, as well as Iranian. He did not change his passport, but rather applied for an Iranian passport. He is born in Iran, so he is, by Iranian law, an Iranian citizen, no matter how many other nationalities he has. I mean there are even some Iranians with three nationalities, i.e. Iran and two others, so two is frequent. 124.170.27.153 01:41, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Folks, Ghotbi is not the son of Reza Ghotbi. See his biography here: http://khabars.net/Detail.aspx?cid=120868&catid=468&iid=2391 I am updating this page. (Ghlobe (talk) 23:59, 24 February 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Please stop adding the part about him allegedly being son of Reza Ghotbi. That information is just based on one early source (Etemad newspaper) and has been discredited several times in Iranian newspapers. Based on his resume, Ghotbi left Iran with his father in 1976-1977. Reza Ghotbi left Iran in the last days before the Iranian revolution (early 1979). They can't be the same person. (Ghlobe (talk) 04:35, 27 February 2008 (UTC))[reply]
