    • I looked, but I couldn't find evidence that "kula" was actually an English word with the meaning given. There's evidence that there's a Hindi word, of which this is the romanization, but (a) Wiktionary wants words in their proper scripts not as romanizations, and (b) there's some evidence that the definition supplied is not that of the Hindi word. So I've simply added a Wiktionary link and removed the dictionary definition. Uncle G 00:13, 2005 Mar 15 (UTC)

  • Evolutionism - predominantly etymological (some small parts to be merged with existing Creation vs. evolution debate article) CheeseDreams 23:05, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Keep. This page is no more "predominantly etymological" than is the page capitalism. And the cut and "merge" that Mr. Dreams suggests above is as much a violation of Wikipedia NPOV policy as would be a cut and "merge" of the capitalism page to the PrivateOwnership vs. PublicOwnership debate page without allowing a capitalism page to trace the 1) history of "capitalism" theory and the 2) varieties of "capitalism" theories in use today. ---Rednblu | Talk 09:18, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Move. This is a discussion about evolutionism not about the page Capitalism. Evolutionism is a POV title. The consensus on the evolutionism VFD was to split the page up in multiple manners (i.e. Wiktionary for the majority of the text (which is predominantly etymological), merge partly to Creation vs. Evolution debate (for the fact that Evolutionism as a term only exists in use by Creationists in a derogatory manner and does not exist in any other form), move some minor parts to an History of albiogenesis page, and have an Evolutionism disambiguation page predominantly redirecting to Creationism). CheeseDreams 17:26, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
      • The historical record of the VfD indicates otherwise. Furthermore, that historical record points to the frivolous nature of this attempt to work a VfD delete that was explicitly rejected by the VfD vote. This nomination for MoveToWiktionary is a good joke, 8( but it is a frivolous misuse of Wikipedia resources--though a good joke, yes! :)) ---Rednblu | Talk 18:09, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Rebellion, in which a definition for "rebellion" is written, and then a list of famous rebellions and famous rebels is given. However, this list is by no means exhaustive, and I don't think anyone should try to make it that way. The number of big rebellions in history is so big that the list would end up being long and useless. It is better for this to be a Wiktionary definition instead of an incomplete list of worldwide rebellions. Gotalora 03:13, 23 Oct 2004 (UTC)

We could transwikify for the usage note, but I don't think that it's actually accurate, or at least complete. "Dunelm" seems to be used for "Dunelmensis" in many contexts, not solely the one mentioned. It's also the name of quite a lot of things. I sense a disambiguation article here. • Explanations of the etymology of the word, its changes in meaning, and its usage are exactly what the dictionary is for. Wiktionary does etymologies, meanings, and usages, and does them well. The dictionary certainly does them better than the encyclopaedia does. This is a case in point. Wiktionary has an etymology for Wiktionary:yiff that actually cites sources. Wiktionary also deals with Wiktionary:YIFF, referencing sources, has all of the parts of speech for Wiktionary:yiff, and has individual articles for the inflected words (Wiktionary:yiffs, Wiktionary:yiffing, Wiktionary:yiffed, and so forth) complete with citations too. Whether this article about a word should now remain in the encyclopaedia is not a matter for this page, however. Uncle G 12:52, 2005 Apr 19 (UTC)
