Just because some Japanese continue to believe in the near racist mythology of blood typing, that doesn`t mean it has a place on wp. Likewise ad work. Please read Wikipedia:Notability before making personal attacks. Andycjp 09:54, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, and you seem like quite the fundie crusader striking down evil in the name of god. On Wikipedia no less. I don't delete people's edits without discussion or rational reason instead of personal beliefs. The article for the Japanese theory of blood type already neutrally explains the situation, and you've got to be the racist one if you believe Japanese people are listing their blood type as a slap to the Taiwanese people's face. I was born in Taiwan and have a grandmother who grew up in Japan. I can confidently say that there is no cultural movement to stop the Japanese from listing their blood type in their theory of explaining personalities. It's already deemed a pseudo-science, and it's a popular part of Japanese culture. Again, I question your religious vigor when it appears you're saying what part of a culture does or doesn't belong on Wikipedia. I think you get my drift if you haven't already turned a blind eye to the history of religious crusades and prosecutions.
Also by your basis, the Democratic party was pro-slavery in the 1800s, so Democrats and their ideals today in the modern world have no place in Wikipedia?
Commercials: Listing her works. I'm glad you don't have a good reason to back your edits. Very open of you to delete whole sections without debate and believing your judgment is absolute from the start.
Again, your discussion history can speak for itself. It's reassuring to see evidence that you make more problems with people than progressing Wikipedia articles...unless they had something to do with the bible of course.
I also like your constant edits. Backpedalling a bit after your first versions huh?
"A little bit over protective are we?"
"If you think every sad ad Ms Hirano appears in is worthy of mention go ahead, revert.."
I like your attempts to not be a hypocrite but the damage is already done.--Willsun (talk) 10:19, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"Do you have shares in the companies i deleted?"
" corporate sell out?"
Thank goodness for revision histories in Wikipedia, don't you agree Andycjp? --Willsun (talk) 18:36, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise for not keeping calm initially. Thats why I deleted that. You seem to enjoy making all kinds of attacks on me because I`m a Christian which have zero to do with the matter at hand. I feel personal details like height have no place on a page about a women. Would you put height details on a mans page? If not, why not? It smacks of a patronizing attitude towards women. Similarly, the blood type page makes clear that the context is tabloid magazines, not works of reference. Finally, of course ad work is marketing- Wikipedia does not allow advertising so just because Ms Hirano chooses or is forced by her agency to do that kind of work do not make it suitable content for WP. By the way I live in Japan, my wife and daughter are Japanese citizens.Andycjp (talk) 04:07, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've left out the height information because there is no sources citing it, and won't mind leaving it out if you feel it's going over the top. I feel that the blood type however, is simply a widely used statistic posted for people like her and isn't written in a way to promote her personality unless people make their own inference from reading the Japanese blood type theory of personality page themselves. Hopefully we can compromise to that, because I don't intend on adding any further small details like height to Aya Hirano's Wiki page.--Willsun (talk) 06:57, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minori Chihara CDs[edit]

I checked your translations and they look fine to me. Some could be phrased differently depending on the lyrics, but as I have not heard these CDs I cannot comment on that. I just made some minor romaji corrections. --Raica 15:10, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. If you ever do get a chance to listen to the CDs, I would greatly appreciate your help if you could help cleanup the romaji/translation of the titles even further. --Willsun 01:38, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Aya in Lucky Star.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Aya in Lucky Star.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Zutto...IsshouMakenai~Ichizu Version~.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Zutto...IsshouMakenai~Ichizu Version~.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 10:53, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Mamiko_Noto.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Mamiko_Noto.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 09:42, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, Rockfang can eat a dick. I understand all other notices were pretty reasonable about the rationale in using images, but this takes the cake. I'm also liking the level of respect this guy sinks to; this account is not a bot yet he's "not going to add [my] talk page to [his] watchlist" after posting a dispute. What a Parthian shot. I'm sure he likes the attention when people have to go seek him out instead of being responsible for the shit he flings. "I'm pulling down your image but hey, I'm not talking to you! Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Mamiko_Noto.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Rockfang (talk) 09:14, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

REFU[edit]

I wrote that page originally to try and find a happy medium between the two sides. My original ideas are not totally reflected in the final, "rejected" version, which is not policy in any event. Instead, policy is whatever an admin deems replaceable, and regretfully I would have to agree that that picture of Ms. Noto is. She seems to make public appearances; you don't have to be the one to take the replacement as long as someone else does (that's how I got a free pic of Alice Sebold a year after the book-jacket one was yanked). Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Melty tale storage, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. RE: 74.167.7.253[edit]

The best place to learn what to do about vandalism is at Wikipedia:Vandalism. I'm not an admin, so I can't help you with blocking this guy, but you can submit the IP to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism after you've given him enough warnings on his talk page. Use the vandalism template like this:

== April 2008 ==
{{subst:uw-vandalism1|TITLE OF PAGE VANDALIZED}} -~~~~

I've even created an AutoHotkey script to help speed up the process of giving vandals warnings. You can check it out here, if you want. and be sure to let me know what you think! -Captin Shmit (talk) 05:31, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Galahad[edit]

That was quite some time ago, yes? I removed it because it was unsourced, and as such it was impossible to verify whether it was important to the subject of the article or not. This is the main thing. However, by my personal knowledge of the Arthurian legend, I find it unlikely that such a citation will be found - "Code Geass" just has not made much impact on Arthurian literature or scholarship (clearly it might be important in other realms). Even in your statement, "Galahad" was only used as the name for a giant robot; Galahad himself does not appear, and so this is a passing mention rather than a modern reinterpretation. We can't list every pop culture item that has ever mentioned Galahad, or else this would be a trivia omnibus rather than an encyclopedia.--Cúchullain t/c 05:52, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Mail Me[edit]

The article Mail Me has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references, no claim of notability, fails WP:NSONG and WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
