Well, I started working on it, but honestly, the plot section is utterly confusing. I've never played any of the Chrono Trigger games, and I can't figure out what is happening. The first paragraph of the plot section introduces a ton of names and locations, but doesn't really explain what most of them are. The characters section has a similar problem. If the article is going to pass FAC, it needs to be a lot clearer for someone who doesn't know the game. Sure. Most of the errors I've seen regard confusion about the use of italics. You should not italicize company names, but you should italicize works such as books, movies, and TV shows. For individual TV episodes, or articles or essays in larger works, use quotation marks. The biggest problem I've seen so far was in Swami Abhayananda, where you left a huge quotation that covered a lot of tangential ground. I cut almost all of it. In Injimedu, you left in some fairly significant grammatical problems. See what I fixed here. The first sentence was pretty confusing. Also avoid leaving phrases like "630 years ago", since that depends on when it was written. I changed it to the approximate year. I also tend to clean up references and remove silly stuff if it is unreferenced, such as things being the highest statues on hills and such. Hi. I took pity on you and chipped in with a few checks, but ... Yes, many editors would have done better copy edits, but in all the articles I looked at, I felt that he left them better than he found them -- often considerably better. HighBeam for D&D articles (part 6d)

And here we are, however many months later, finally wrapping up all the D&D video games. I think this topic area, by far, had the most hits from HighBeam when it comes to D&D. Bio articles also got a lot of hits, but I don't think there are anywhere near as many as what we had for VGs. I spent quite a bit of time going through the remaining categories to see what I could find hits on, so it is up to you how much more work you are going to be willing to do as far as continuing on.

After the punishment I gave you with all the hits for the first NWN, this one should hopefully be a relative breeze.  :) On previous articles that were already GA's, you didn't find much usable info, so there might not be much to do here either. Still, if you check, you never know what you will find.

I just looked over the first five. One had a good little detail on gameplay, and the other was a tiny AP-style fluff piece that was only one paragraph. The other three don't have a lot of great details, but are reviews with some good comments on pros and cons and such. I'm debating adding more to the reception section. It's already decent, with all the big boys in the world of video game sites accounted for, but there's always room for more, I guess. What do you think? —Torchiest talkedits 02:45, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
I'll agree that the reception section is pretty hefty, so I'm going to trust your judgement on what to include. I'd say that, obviously, any unique comments not already expressed should be added. It also might not hurt if you find any similar commentary to add another citation to existing statements, since one more citaiton couldn't hurt, but at the same time it's not the end of the word if we don't have 5 citations for one sentence. ;) BOZ (talk) 17:16, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Okay, checked over the rest of them and added more to the reception section, which honestly isn't really that good and surprisingly negatively slanted considering the game had a generally positive reception (and was amazing in my opinion).   • Just went over them, and it was super slim pickings. For Mask of the Betrayer, two of the links were to the same article, which only had one little bit worth adding. The other was a single paragraph. All the links for Storm of Zehir and Mysteries of Westgate were just announcements about development being completed or the game being released, followed by essentially reprints of company press releases, so they had no good depth, unfortunately. —Torchiest talkedits 02:40, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

GOCE Current Blitz Help

Hi there!

Could you please look over my Copy Edit of GoldenEye: Rogue Agent which was my first major Copy Edit, and which I am counting towards the current GOCE Blitz AnthonyW90 (talk) 20:46, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

I've looked over your edits there, and while most are improvements, a few of what your changes should probably be undone. The biggest thing I noticed was your addition of the weapons list. While there's nothing wrong grammatically with it, that level of detail should be avoided. See WP:GAMEGUIDE for more on that. In the infobox, you changed the targets for EA LA to point to the new name, Danger Close Games. That is a borderline WP:EASTEREGG, which we should also avoid. I'd personally change them to EA Los Angeles, since a non-gamer won't understand the abbreviation at all, and let the redirect do the rest. You did the opposite, and made the article better, when you added context to the group whose name is based on SPECTRE and removed the easter egg link.
"Plot" is pretty standard section title for video game articles; I don't think adding campaign is necessary for that section title. Something else to generally avoid is using passive voice instead of active voice, such as the place where you changed "The game's ending heavily suggested a sequel as well." to "The game's ending was heavily suggestive of a sequel." The first sentence isn't great, but I'd probably have changed it to "The game's ending hinted at a sequel as well." Something else I see there is "heavily". It usually (heh) improves writing to get rid of filler adverbs. Mark Twain once wrote, "Substitute 'damn' every time you're inclined to write 'very;' your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be."
Having said all that, your work is pretty good, and you didn't introduce any serious problems to the article. I see mostly stylistic issues. Thanks for helping out with the blitz! —Torchiest talkedits 13:00, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your feedback, I have made a few amendments to the article in light of what you have said. On the 'Easter Egg' note for Danger Close Games, I had read over the WP:EASTEREGG guidance and thought that my edit made sense - since the game was made by EA LA that is what the 'text' needed to say, but the company EA LA has been re-named Danger Close Games I figured it wasn't a problem to avoid the re-direct by using the piping on the link. I have returned it to being EA LA, but did make the change to 'EA Los Angeles' (I think it is safe to assume people know of EA Games?) AnthonyW90 (talk) 09:54, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

GOCE April blitz

Hi. Stfg informs me (User talk:Acabashi#Heads up) that this blitz is not for stuff on the requests page. This worries me a tad as I've spent a lot of time on the requests over the last week. I notice that on the current blitz page that it says the blitz is "to reduce the number of articles on our requests page" - and not mentioning a particular month to go for - and yet further down "edit as many articles as possible from March 2013". Argh, that was a mistake. We normally copy paste blitzes and drives from old events and then update them, but it looks like that was missed. WikiCup 2013 April newsletter

We are a week into Round 3, but it is off to a flying start, with Republic of Rose Island Sven Manguard (submissions) claiming for the high-importance Portal:Sports and Portal:Geography (which are the first portals ever awarded bonus points in the WikiCup) and Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions) claiming for a did you know of sea, the highest scoring individual did you know article ever submitted for the WikiCup. Round 2 saw very impressive scores at close; first place New South Wales Casliber (submissions) and second place Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) both scored over 1000 points; a feat not seen in Round 2 since 2010. This, in part, has been made possible by the change in the bonus points rules, but is also testament to the quality of the competition this year. Pool C and Pool G were most competitive, with three quarters of participants making it to Round 3, while Pool D was the least, with only the top two scorers making it through. The lowest qualifying score was 123, significantly higher than last year's 65, 2011's 41 or even 2010's 100.

The next issue of The Signpost is due to include a brief update on the current WikiCup, comparing it to previous years' competitions. This may be of interest to current WikiCup followers, and may help bring some more new faces into the community. We would also like to note that this round includes an extra competitor to the 32 advertised, who has been added to a random pool. This extra inclusion seems to have been the fairest way to deal with a small mistake made before the beginning of this round, but should not affect the competition in a large way. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact one of the judges.

A rules clarification: content promoted between rounds can be claimed in the round after the break, but not the round before. The case in point is content promoted on 29/30 April, which may be claimed in this round. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Drow houses

Hey there, this is probably a longshot, but could you check to see if you have any sources for either the subjects of House Do'Urden or House Baenre or any of the characters listed on those pages. I don't know, I just found it a couple of days ago. It looks like they just switched to a new batch of articles that same day. I'm going to keep an eye on it through the week to see how changes progress. There is a lot of potential with something like this.
