January 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Rooster Rock State Park has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. About my revert to Rooster Rock[edit]

Here is the explanation for my revert: I use Huggle, which is a tool for fighting vandalism. In my time on Wikipedia, I have seen my share of vandalism, which include the term "penis" in an inappropriate way. Your edit to Rooster Rock included "penis", but was unsourced, thus I had to revert your edit. Another editor has found refs for that article and will place them or have already placed them there. My faith was never a factor in the revert. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks, Willking1979 (talk) 02:43, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you consider NOT using such tools, especially for information which you have no knowledge of. Obviously the tool you refer to is a bad tool. I also saw that you used a sock puppet to remove the information a second time, as it was precisely the same edit! Take yor tools and christian morals and use them where the sun don't shine, like Kentucky! Just because the word PENIS appears and you disapprove of words that rever to body parts such as penis, does not give you the right to act like a penis (or God) and remove the tru history of a region which you obviously have NO KNOWLEDGE, unless og course you are truly so God like, and all - knowing Markosjal (talk) 19:09, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't do sockpuppetry, and it's a good thing for you that you didn't name any names, or I would have turned you in at WP:ANI. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 18:05, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Marksojal, I've replied to some of your accusations toward various users at Talk:Rooster Rock State Park. Please watch the personal attacks. There is nothing to be gained by attacking your fellow editors, who are simply acting in good faith according to Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Note that sockpuppet accusations are not to be thrown about lightly. Two different users reverted your edits, as you will see by my explanation on the article's talk page. If you continue to have problems with your editing, see our dispute resolution suggestions. Good luck. Katr67 (talk) 21:17, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is No way that anyone in Kentucky with no knowledge of Oregon or the native languages should take such a liberty to make an edit that they KNOW NOTHING ABOUT! After reviewing his profile that editor is the one who openly expresses his religion, meaning that it a great motivator in his life, and most probably his edits. Since he began his expression of his religion on wikipedia , his religion becomes fair game, and that would probably stand in a court of law! If he wants his religion to not be an issue, he should not post anything relating to his personal religious beliefs! I stand by my edits and if you do not like them you can keep changing them, and I will keep changing them back! It is I who was personally attacked and HISTORY that was attacked by the careless and irresponsible edits made. The rooster rock site already said the name was phallic in origin, I only provided the original name as well as additional information of the original words relating to the body part , and the animal. Whatever rationale the editor made it was unjust, and without any knowlege , and clearly a motivation by his personal beliefs. ! There is not always a reference for an edit sometimes other than personal knowledge, especially when dealing with less common languages such as Chinook Wawa. People who have no knowledge of a topic should just BUTT OUT ! BTW many editrs here are made wouthout references. It is only the words "Cock" and/or "Penis" which motivated his edits. I did not name the rock, I only provided the info. So dont shoot the messenger . Markosjal (talk)

Although I like KFC and the Derby (and let's not forget Kentucky whisky), I have never lived in Kentucky, and my religion is the Church of Baseball. d:) And the problem I had with your edit was not the content, it was the lack of a reference. civility and good faith[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on user talk:Katr67. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —EncMstr (talk) 07:03, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the "character" we were referring to is a persistent vandal to a page you have never edited. Katr67 (talk) 08:04, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
