Genre changes[edit]

Hi there, and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice that you've started making changes to a number of articles on bands, albums, etc., and wanted to let you know that genres are a very, very hotly debated topic here among editors. You've made several additions to genre listings, such as here and here, where there are distinct instructions to not make such changes before discussion on the article's talk page. Because so many people come here and start changing genres to fit their personal viewpoints, this is a very necessary stage if you want your changes to be kept. I recommend searching for references to back up your changes, starting discussions on any article talk pages that you wish to make changes to, and not changing the genre on the main article pages until you've got consensus for them in future.
