Hi Davidgoodheart,

Thank you for adding additional citations to support the article! Nicknames don't typically provide too much encyclopedic value unless they were referred to in the media regularly by that nickname during coverage. I will let you be the judge of if it shall remain.

In terms of deletion, if the article is deleted this is considered final in the realm of Wikipedia for this type of an article. Last I checked the discussion was swayed in favor of keeping the article.

Just FYI, I did some major work on restructuring, citing and adding images to Tiffany Sessions today after a large portion of it was removed due to a lack of inline citations. Disappearance of Joan Risch changes

David,

I could say something about the irony of you saying the article wasn't properly formatted when your own signature on my talk page wasn't properly formatted. But anyway ...

Please do not reduce the intro section of the article to that one sentence again. In this regard I commend to your attention MOS:LEDE: "The lead serves as an introduction to the article and a summary of its most important contents." We have the {{Lead too short}} template for a reason ... your change would have led to someone else placing it on the article. The two-graf intro provides a reasonable summary of what the article itself goes into in greater length. You don't seem to realize this (did you notice how the two paragraphs don't flow at all well into the beginning of the investigation section where you insist on shoehorning them?)

You also seem, as some less experienced editors are, convinced that the article has to begin with boldfaced words echoing the title. If you go down to the appropriate sections of MOS:LEDE, you'll see that that is not a requirement, that lead sentences should not be worded that way no matter how contorted the language gets (and for exactly that reason).

The article is about Ms. Risch's disappearance, not her life (even though it does include her birth date). Therefore the lead grafs are descriptive of the event. They do not need to be substantially rewritten, at least not to biography format.

Look, I have written, over the last few years, a lot of the "Disappearance of ..." articles. No one else has ever suggested they might be "not formatted right to begin with", and that includes a lot of people who've read over them when I've nominated them for DYK and such. Your edits give me the impression you're not really familiar with the MOS pages I've linked to. If you really think you're in the right, don't revert my last edit reverting yours. Explain to me what policies you're doing this under, and why you think they justify your edits. Daniel Case (talk) 02:24, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Daniel, you may be right, as I am not as experience as you, so if I was wrong I do apologize. It just every missing persons case that I have seen starts of with their name and birth date, so I thought I was doing the right thing. About the sources in the 1960s section, I have seen a lot of people use the Doe network and the Charley project, so I would say that they are reliable sources. Thank you for calling me well meaning, and I still do not know how to add the right signature.

Yeah, a lot of those look like bio articles. First, a lot of people writing them for the first time see the bio articles (which make up nearly a quarter of our articles) and think that's how to do it. It's understandable, it's easier ... but the event is what's notable, not the person (For an exception to this I recently did see Rico Harris, who I realized was notable in his own right as a star high school basketball player and highly-sought college recruit whose possible college choices got covered in newspapers well outside his native area).

The Charley Project: I know a lot of people use it, but that doesn't make it a reliable source. Meaghan, bless her, researches and writes those pages all by herself and publishes them once she's done—without anyone else looking at them. That makes them self-published, so we can't use them no matter how much other people rely on them (I admit, though, that I think they're OK for information like a birthdate and an MP's height and weight if I can't find that elsewhere). She does list the names of the outlets she uses at the bottom of every page, but not the specific articles from whence the specific facts came. So it's a nice place to start looking for the original sources from, if you don't mind spending the time. Usually she gets things right.

It's important to be very careful about our sources in true-crime articles, particular if they're about recent events, because even though the person at issue may be missing and/or dead, there are still other people whose reputations may be affected by what Wikipedia says about them.

Super Mario Mancini

The two are fairly close in appearance, but nothing uncanny. NES Mario ~~certainly~~ isn't a brunette. Lou Albano looks exactly like the TV version, and that connection is well-sourced. Unless someone has compared the two Marios in a reliable source, it just doesn't belong.

Don't move an article that is being considered for deletion again. You also made a royal mess out of it that I had to clean up. It's back the way it was, and leave it that way. Personal Opinion

Your personal opinion is not relevant, what is relevant is what RS (and what consensus decides is RS) thus if RS give two separate dates we have to include both, and your opinion as to which one is correct is irrelevant.
