You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:33, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AFL help[edit]

Hey there, I don't know if you are as active on here as before, but I was wondering if you would like to lead the way in making every AFL article as professional as possible. This last year with it being the first year back for the AFL, it was kind of a mess all over the place, the rosters were very poorly managed, and a lot of info was rather inaccurate. I am basically typing this message to see if you are willing to supervise the AFL's image on wikipedia, I know very little in how to construct new infoboxes, graphics, etc etc, but i can definitely assist you in what ever way needed as far as editing articles, etc.

I just always thought it would be cool to dress the AFL league page and team pages like the NFL's.. I also have a buddy on here that is willing to assist in the process (Tampabay721).

Please respond as soon as you can.. Thanks!

--Alf42069ps (talk) 06:29, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response! When I said infoboxes, I was more speaking of the team pages, instead of just a generic look, do you think we could make one like how the NFL has all theirs set up like the Seattle Seahawks for example? You know, with the uniforms and what not, pretty much just more info then they currently have. Do you think you can start up the AFL WikiProject again? I would like to get as much support on these articles as possible.

Thanks again!

--Alf42069ps (talk) 16:23, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well shoot, I'd be more than happy to be on the project, a long with another guy I know on here already said he would too. I just want an organized way to update and keep things under control on all AFL pages.. Do you think we can do it?

--Alf42069ps (talk) 02:37, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So are you willing to lead the project once again? Cause I'll be honest, I don't know how to do any of that.. I could sure use your help. --Alf42069ps (talk) 20:42, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Wes Ours, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fullback (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Introduction of initialisms and other abbreviations[edit]

Greetings, Crash.

I have partially reverted your recent edit to the Dont'a Hightower article here: [1]. Per WP:MOS#Abbreviations, the first use of an initialism (e.g. NFL) should always be defined in a parenthetical following the full expression to be abbreviated (e.g. National Football League). Please do no delete the parenthetical definition of "NFL" following the full expression "National Football League" in the lead section of NFL player bios. We are trying to upgrade the formatting and style standards of these articles, and most of them desperately need the upgrade. Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:17, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Potential admin[edit]

Hi, I notice you're on Wikipedia:List of administrator hopefuls. Wikipedia would benefit from more admins. If you have been editing for more than 12 months (preferably 24+ months), and have been editing fairly consistently for the past 6 months (preferably 12+ months) with at least 100 edits a month (this tool will help) - or an explanation for any gaps, and haven't been blocked in the past three years - or a good explanation for a recent block, don't have a recent history of edit warring or arguing with other editors, feel you can explain why you wish to be an admin, can demonstrate some understanding of Wikipedia's procedures and processes, or know where to go for guidance, and are confident enough to go through a RfA, please get in touch with me. We can talk about it some more, and if all looks OK, I'll nominate you. SilkTork ✔Tea time 09:24, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@SilkTork: thank you for your post. I had honestly forgotten I was there. lol. I think I meet all the criteria, however, the only part I would have an issue with is the procedures and processes and I don't, that I know of, know an admin to learn from. If I knew one, I'd be more than willing to learn and do my best. Crash Underride 04:24, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

November 2015[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 12:06, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@McGeddon:, thanks, I know how to use the minor edit. But what edit do you mean? As far as I know I haven't marked any major edits as minor. Crash Underride 18:53, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The edit I noticed was at Mexican standoff, but it looks like a few of your recent edits have been marked as minor when they shouldn't have been - such as here, where you're (presumably correctly) removing the word "former" from a description of a sportsperson who hasn't retired. It's a small edit, but not a minor one - minor edits are those which don't affect the meaning of the article in any way.
WP:MINOR has some good rules of thumb for deciding what is and isn't a minor edit. --McGeddon (talk) 20:25, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
