Hi!

Hi! I have decided to postpone my RFA until January. When are you going for it? Electriccatfish2 (talk) 23:29, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

I think that's a good idea. I've decided that mine won't be until at least around the latter part of next year. It gives me time to do some content creation, which I haven't got much experience. Hopefully I can try to get some GA's under my belt! --Chip123456 (talk) 06:46, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
I'm going for DYK's, as it would be nice to get noticed by having my DYK on the main page. I have 3 articles under my belt currently. Electriccatfish2 (talk) 23:39, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
Good. Some RfA I've seen say 4 or above, so your on the right track.--Chip123456 (talk) 06:18, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Revoke

Hi, please can you revoke this user talk page access. Their contribs will show why. --Chip123456 (talk) 06:42, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, at the very least it is not a case where you can second guess a revert. TPA removed for the blocks duration. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 06:47, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for revoking the access. Usually, I would not have removed them as they should stay for the duration. It was the nature of them that caused them to be removed. Cheers,--Chip123456 (talk) 06:53, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

The World Article

Hi David - I noticed that you undid all my changes to "The World" article. I have been living on the ship for 8 years and hence I really know about this subject first hand. Each of the changes I made corrects an inaccuracy, updates old information, or improves the writing flow. Can I fix the article again and will you let the changes stand? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.7.154.116 (talk) 18:41, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I removed one of your edits as there was a couple of errors and you removed an opening ref tag. I think you maybe looking for DavidWBrooks, not me!--Chip123456 (talk) 18:45, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

I am not knowledgable in Wikipedia editing. So if I stay away from the ref tags, can I fix up the body copy without you reverting it? Thanks! Richard — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.7.154.116 (talk) 18:48, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

I tried again and stayed away from tags. It was before I saw your "sandbox" reply. I don't know how to use that. Is it OK now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.7.154.116 (talk) 19:02, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

What you can do is use my sandbox for some tests and then I can take a look for you.--Chip123456 (talk) 18:53, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
No, it's not. You removed content without a reason and added unsourced material (see WP:V). Also, it wasn't written very well in parts and seemed like a test edits. If you use my box, it means you can play around with edits t try and get sources and bring your text up to a good standard.--Chip123456 (talk) 19:08, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

So why is a first hand souce writing about my immediate neighborhood (me) not as good as some guy who wrote a book 5 years ago who was probably never on the ship using misinformation from the internet? Makes me wonder about other wikipedia info. The material removed (selling cruises & prices) is just plain not true. We do not sell cruises. We are not a cruise ship. The prices are confidential and the ones quoted were ancient history and wrong to boot. As a wikipedia learning experience, I would like to make these edits to your satisfaction. I understand the necesity for supervision, but the interface is difficult for a newbie. I will try. Can you help me? Richard — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.7.154.116 (talk) 02:03, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I will help you. First of all have you considered creating a account? Secondly, you can not use yourself as a source. You need to find sources, from the Internet or book, see WP:RELIABLE. Also, before you hit the save button, you need to make sure what you have put makes sense. Anything you wish to remove discuss directly on the articles talk page. Another tip, sign your message with four ~.--Chip123456 (talk) 09:36, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

SPI

If possible, could you give me a link to fk's most recent spi? Thanks, Dan653 (talk) 20:00, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

As far as I know, there wasn't one. The admin realised almost instantly it was a block evasion, then he asked a check user,--Chip123456 (talk) 20:08, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I thought as such when I went looking for the spi and couldn't find it, thanks. Dan653 (talk) 20:10, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Was there a reason you asked?--Chip123456 (talk) 20:12, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
