Howdy. I don't want to alarm you but I had to revert your edits on Module:Adjacent stations/Maryland Transit Administration because it was causing script errors all over Maryland Transit articles. We need to try this again without goofing everything up. Mitch32(sail away with me to another world.) 00:04, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

Happy New Year, Cards84664!

It seems that this article, "Death of Michelle Go" is not a major incident relating to the MTA, I manual revert the template, but why you reverted it back? Explain this. CastJared (talk) 12:25, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

@CastJared Instead of messaging both me and Cards84664 separately - the best thing would have been to post a message on the Template talk page and tag both of us. (Wikipedia:MULTI)
(Also, some editors without wishing to put words in the mouth of Cards84664 may take offence with brusque wording like "Explain this" - remember to be nice :D ) Turini2 (talk) 12:54, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Wheaton Metra redirect

Hi, now that the Wheaton page has been moved, what can be done to fix the links (within templates) for the page (especially with the College Avenue and Winfield stations)? Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 20:15, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) I've updated Module:Adjacent stations/Metra, which should deal with most of them. Also converted Wheaton station into a disambiguation page for good measure. Mackensen (talk) 21:01, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the information. One more thing - how will this affect the template? Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 21:36, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Which template are you referring to? Cards84664 22:23, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, it must have deleted itself. I meant ((stl|Metra|)) Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 22:38, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Disregard! I see it has been changed seamlessly. Thank you! Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 22:42, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

So, thanks for helping out on the CP Rail stations.

I would like to say thanks for filling in the CP Rail stations with the adjacent stations template after I filled in the ones on the CP Rail Transcontinental main, and you doing the branch lines. Are you able to add the pre 1990 Canadian route on some of the stations as well as adding the pre 1990 route to the Canadian route? RobloxUser4125 (talk) 15:19, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

@RobloxUser4125: Sure, I can check on that after I finish Canadian Pacific and Canadian National templates. In the meantime, here is a link to VIA timetables, pre-1990 included. Cards84664 15:37, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for that. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 15:49, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Merge the N.C&St.L adjacent stations template into the L&N template if possible?

Since the L&N basically acquired the N.C.&St.L in 1957, is there a way to merge that company's adjacent stations template into the L&N adjacent stations template with the replacement template for the N.C.&St.L lines being the L&N one but with the N.C.&St.L label?

Also you are working on the CP Rail stations in Edmonton and Winnipeg to add an adjacent stations template right? I hope that can happen.

Also, here's something I want to show you. A page that I attempted to create about the L&N Depot in Corbin, the first page I attempted to create. It's still a draft as of this time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Corbin_(railway_depot) RobloxUser4125 (talk) 01:23, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

It can stay separate, L&N had control of the N.C.&St.L since 1880.
I will take a look at Edmonton and Winnipeg as well. Cards84664 03:37, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Alright, that's fine for me. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 12:29, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Ok, uhh my draft for the Corbin station has not been accepted, but I feel like I need to edit it for it to be approved. Is there any way you can help me out ion improving the draft for the station in Corbin, KY? (the link is in the 3rd paragraph of my first message) RobloxUser4125 (talk) 12:31, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Wanted you to check out my first successful page I created.

So, I managed to successfully create a new page! I created a page for the Railroad depot in Tucumcari, New Mexico that served the Rock Island and Southern Pacific Railroads. What do you think of it? Any feedback?

Adding former services to Birmingham Terminal Station

So uhh, I feel like not adding the former services to Birmingham Terminal Station due to how many former services served that station. Are you able to add in the former services to the Birmingham Terminal Station page if possible?

I also want to consider about adding the SAL Birmingham-Hamlet route to Atlanta Terminal Station due to the main passenger train on that route, the Silver Comet serving Atlanta Terminal Station as shown on the page.

I might consider about adding a Central of Georgia Railway adjacent stations module too. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 19:36, 30 January 2023 (UTC)

@Cards84664, changed the Hamlet-Birmingham route to Birmingham-Monroe, since the line connects to the Carolina Central Railway at Monroe, North Carolina and goes to Hamlet, with terminus being at Wilmigton. Missing stations along routes that I fixed and tipoffs on routes from Atlanta Union Station (1930)

Thanks for your work on Atlanta Union Station (1930). I wanted to make a few adjustments and some feedback on your edits. I edited the Georgia Railroad Main Line terminus at Augusta Union Station which apparently hasn't been linked properly and a typo was present. Also a bit of concern over the Knoxville-Atlanta route since L&N Station (Knoxville)#External links is already on the Cincinnati-Atlanta route unless it is a secondary route as the latter. Also I will edit the Columbus-Atlanta from Atlanta Terminal Station since there is a station already for the Columbus terminus. That being Union Station (Columbus, Georgia). Overall, you did well on the edits and I will add a few corrections. Also we work well together. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 13:27, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

Fixing width of images on RTD pages

Hello! What's your reasoning for including fixed widths on the RTD infoboxes? Wikipedia policy (WP:IMAGESIZE) states: Except with very good reason, do not use px (e.g. 300px), which forces a fixed image width measured in pixels, disregarding the user's image size preference setting. Do we have a very good reason? RickyCourtney (talk) 22:04, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

First I'm hearing of this. The other RTD line articles were already at 300px, I added the last two for consistency. Cards84664 22:42, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

Jacksonville Union Terminal services update request.

So, I wanted to ask if you could be able to update the adjacent stations template for Jacksonville Union Station, which only has an FEC template at the bottom. I know that the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and Seaboard Air Line Railroad served the station along with the Southern Railway (U.S.). If you could, please reply back. Thanks! Regarding the DT&I main line

I was wondering, did the DT&I use the Ironton Norfolk and Western Depot in Ironton, Ohio as its passenger station or did it use a different passenger station? I know the DT&I connected to the N&W at Ironton, so I thought that they would use the N&W's depot. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 14:51, 19 February 2023 (UTC)

@RobloxUser4125: Here's what I found in various guides:
  • 1930
  • Chesapeake & Ohio (station A)
  • Detroit Toledo & Ironton (station B)
  • Norfolk & Western (station C)

  • 1910
  • Chesapeake & Ohio (station A)
  • Cincinnati Hamilton & Dayton (station B)

  • Norfolk & Western (station C)

LIRR branch order

To be completely honest, I think that's a lousy order criteria. It's utterly opaque to those unfamiliar with the railroad, and doesn't reflect the reality of which routes provide the most service. Alphabetical is objective and universal. I'd also list any part time services below full time. I think that makes for a more informative and easy to digest list. oknazevad (talk) 19:29, 28 February 2023 (UTC)

Canadian Railroad Timetables

Is there any available timetables I can use for mapping out Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway lines in Canada? I mean the timetable you use for making these former routes that I saw for the Winnipeg-Churchill train route. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 19:46, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

Route names in wrong direction.

I was thinking if you can redo the route names to make them in the correct direction, from left to right if possible as well as the keys. I decided to not do it due to the amount of adjacent stations templated needing to be fixed if I do it, as well as me being busy right not as of the making of this. If possible, can you fix the route names to make the left terminus first and right terminus first?

Example: {adjacent stations|system=Canadian National Railway|line=Winnipeg-Edmonton via Regina and North Battleford|left=North Battleford|right=Regina}

I think the title should be Edmonton-Winnipeg via North Battleford and Regina, to make the title have an accurate left to right service route. RobloxUser4125 (talk) 13:57, 24 March 2023 (UTC)

Questioning about the removal of a CN line from the Saskatoon station

Is there any reason why you removed

Preceding station Canadian National Railway Following station

toward Edmonton
EdmontonWinnipeg via North Battleford and Regina Saskatoon

New Haven Line

Hi Cards; I noticed that you've replaced the text on the stations from New Rochelle to New Haven to no longer state New Haven Line (Northeast Corridor), rather showcasing "MTA/ConnDOT Northeast Corridor" for stations in their respective states instead, citing service vs physical track in the edit note for stations from New Rochelle to Port Chester. I would like to note that, from my own findings, Metro-North and ConnDOT do refer to the full length of the line from New Haven to Woodlawn as the New Haven Line, and Amtrak's own study of the corridor refers to this name as well, noting the sentence "Restores the full four-track configuration of the New Haven Line for its entire NEC limits" on page 76.

I believe that this showcases that, like the Attleboro Line for Northeast Corridor Line stations in Massachusetts and Hell Gate Line for the Penn Station Access stations, it would be inconsistent and incorrect to label this portion of the corridor as simply "MTA Northeast Corridor" or "ConnDOT Northeast Corridor".

The State of Connecticut's "Time for CT" study also extensively refers to the infrastructure as The New Haven Line, with it noting it as being a critical link in the Northeast Corridor but noting the line as "The New Haven Line Mainline" for most of the state-issued document. For the sake of correctness and consistency with other stations along the corridor, I do believe that those edits should be reverted, but I felt I should bring up this reasoning w/ you before making the edits myself, especially since both "New Haven Line" and "Northeast Corridor" are valid names for the trackage, but the former is what is generally used to by the owners of the line to reference this segment of the larger Boston - Washington corridor. Sounds good, thanks for clarifying. Cards84664 11:08, 30 April 2023 (UTC)

Photos

I appreciate everyone who is willing to share their personal photos with wikipedia users and those who contribute to the public domain. However, if you are going to replace someone else's photo with one of your own as you did in several Cedar Point coaster articles, please make sure the replacement photo is an improvement over the photo you are replacing. Qualities we typically look for, particularly with coaster photos, are blue skies, full trains (especially the front seat) and a good representation of what you are trying to show. We generally try to avoid photos of empty track without a train, unless that is all that is available. A couple of the photos you replaced were already nice photos, and in some cases the new photo was not an improvement. I undid a few of the placements and I see another editor also undid a few. When in doubt, feel free to ask for an opinion.JlACEer (talk) 15:33, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Alton Argo station

I’m going back a ways, but in this edit you added Argo as the next stop for Alton Chicago–St. Louis service. Where did you see this as a stop? Was it from a map? All the timetables I’ve seen don’t have such a stop (but oddly do have it listed on the map). Trying to make sure I’m not missing something. Cedar Point photos

As JlACEer mentioned here, please be cautious in replacing existing photos. Several of your suggestions since JlACEer's message have still had some issues as noted in the talk page summaries where you were reverted. If the image is darker than the existing photo, don't bother using it. If the existing photo is technically fine, question the need to replace it in the first place. Don't hesitate to discuss at the article's talk page or at WP:APARKS, and in fact, discussion is encouraged once you've been reverted.

And finally, abandon the "px" pixel width parameter. It has been deprecated in favor of the "upgright" parameter as noted at MOS:IMGSIZE. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 22:20, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

Which citation exactly? I don't see any citation in any of these articles that says these stations are open. GA-RT-22 (talk) 04:15, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
@GA-RT-22: If that is the case, this should be done to all the articles where stations are not yet open, and a comprehensive station list should be created at Tren Maya. the "opened" parameter is for stations, not lines. Cards84664 04:19, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
I will remove that parameter from those stations if you don't want to do it yourself. If you want a station list at Tren Maya you'll have to do that yourself. GA-RT-22 (talk) 04:22, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Cards84664,
Please do not put railway stations that are proposed to open or scheduled to open in 2024 in this category. This category is for railway stations that have actually opened. We have Category:Railway stations scheduled to open in 2024 for most of these stations that are still in the process of construction and being built. And they definitely don't count as "Completed". Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 20:50, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
