Chicago Terminal Transfer Railroad

In Module:Adjacent stations/Chicago Terminal Transfer Railroad, you linked to Northern Pacific, which has since been turned into a disambiguation page. Would you mind fixing it? Streded (talk) 03:33, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Not a deletion notification

{{SHRT lines}} and related are used in three places. Is it worth migrating to adjacent stations, given the overlap with the current system? Mackensen (talk) 20:36, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

While it might be a small overkill, it's better to use one system of templates. It is much less confusing this way. Gonnym (talk) 20:42, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
Oh, to be clear, I'm asking if we should just remove them altogether. Mackensen (talk) 20:46, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
Ah! Then to that I can't contribute :) Gonnym (talk) 20:52, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
They can be updated, Terminal Square and the country club stop closed 50 years before the RTA was created. Cards84664 21:05, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

And...done. This is a deletion notification: Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2022 February 6#Shaker Heights Rapid Transit. Mackensen (talk) 14:06, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

@Mackensen: My bad, all invocations are pre-1940s, so Module:Adjacent stations/Shaker Heights Rapid Transit can be deleted too in favor of Module:Adjacent stations/Cleveland Railway. (swapped the colors too) Cards84664 22:11, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Mac Studio

On 21 March 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mac Studio, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the faster version of the Mac Studio is 2 pounds (910 g) heavier than the slower one? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mac Studio. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mac Studio), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Updates to live version instead of sandbox

Hey, I noticed you were updating the code at Template:Infobox New York City Subway station. In the future please do those 35 edits in the /sandbox version as tests and any errors do not affect live transclusions, but also makes reading and comparing the reversion history easier. Gonnym (talk) 13:38, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

@Gonnym: My apologies, that's a habit I definitely need to curb, thanks. Cards84664 14:04, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
No worries, you're doing absolutely amazing job with the NYCS templates so you're allowed a bad habit or two :) Gonnym (talk) 14:06, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Template:NYCS next

Hey, I noticed you finished converting the NYCS pages to use the new module, good job! Could you take a look at the last transclusions of Template:NYCS next so it can be fully completed? Gonnym (talk) 00:10, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

@Gonnym: That will be finished momentarily, you can nominate it and Template:SIR lines for deletion. Cards84664 20:29, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
Also I'll probably need some help with Template:NYCS color. I'll grab Template:NYCS stations and Staten Island stuff. Cards84664 20:34, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
@Gonnym: Got myself confused, per this, Template:NYCS stations (s-line) is another version of Template:NYCS station (custom for NYC), both should be replaced with {{stl|NYCS|, correct? Cards84664 21:45, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
Yes, the station links should be replaced with {{stl|NYCS|<name>}}. Those with special disambiguation (if any) need to be tested to make sure they work. Maybe @Frietjes can help with their script which converts these fast. Regarding Template:NYCS next, before I send it to TfD, I want to make sure of something, I'm looking at the code in Template:Infobox New York City Subway station, should labels 33-45 (the next_x and note labels) be removed as now all stations were converted to |adjacent_stations=? Also related, what should be done with Template:S-line/NYCS left/Flushing and Template:S-line/NYCS right/Flushing? Gonnym (talk) 09:23, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
@Gonnym: next_x and note labels can stay, those can still be used on former stations for now. As for s-line, those can be deleted when their invocations are cleared. Cards84664 11:38, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Unused NYCS templates

Since the conversion to the Adjacent station module these templates have appeared in the unused template list:

Are any of them still needed? Gonnym (talk) 10:31, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

Nope, they were made redundant one way or another. The Platform Layout templates are unrelated to what I did but it appears those can be deleted as well. Cards84664 11:28, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

NYCS station error

At Template:NYCS Platform Layout IND Concourse Line/local/next and Template:NYCS Platform Layout IND Concourse Line/local/previous, what is the proper replacement for {{stl|NYCS|161st Street–Yankee Stadium}} (which errors)? Gonnym (talk) 12:27, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Concourse, I got it. Cards84664 02:44, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Cards84664,

I saw you tagged this template for speedy deletion but didn't post a notification on the talk page of the template creator. You used Twinkle and that editing tool should have posted a notice on your behalf. So please check your Twinkle Preferences and make sure "Notify page creator" box is checked off. This will ensure that page creators will be notified when pages get tagged for deletion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 06:56, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Your warning

I am not disrupting Wikipedia. I reverted an edit, per BRD, with an explanation. The original editor then began an edit war, refusing to respect BRD. What am I to do in this situation? 64.62.24.197 (talk) 19:17, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Invitation to the London Bridge Task Force

Hello! You seem to have an interest in the recent death of Elizabeth II, so I wanted to invite to the WikiProject of Current Events new task force The London Bridge Task Force, which will be working on improving all the articles around the death of Elizabeth II. A task force is similar to a WikiProject, which is where you can communicate with other editors who all have the same goal, which is improving all the articles around a specific topic. I hope you consider joining! Elijahandskip (talk) 23:44, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

List of United States television markets

It has to go, there is no discussion to be had here. Nielsen dinged WP with an OTRS report years back where they rightfully claimed copyright on their data, and the number one rule for American television articles is that we don't cross them and post their data open and under our licenses. We just don't tolerate it, period. Nate (chatter) 01:18, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Specifically per this discussion. Can't have 'em. Nate (chatter) 01:23, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
