Sockpuppets are banned users to try to login under a different name. At one point there was a users User:SirIsaacBrock who was very very bad, and annoyed a lot of people. I guess because of your comments on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kent-Meridian High School User:Hipocrite has reason to think you were a sockpuppet.
Sorry that you've had a bad initial reaction. Things will go smoother if you read through some of the policy above, especially Wikipedia:Etiquette.
I'll remove the template, as you comment on Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) seems to indicate that your not a sockpuppet (sockpuppets generally know what a sockpuppet is). If you have other problems like this the best place to metion them is WP:ANB --Salix alba (talk) 19:34, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My reply which I am keeping a record of due to the hostility around here:

First I am told that they are prejudiced against having information about high schools here -- which seems nasty right there.

Next I get a nasty note on my page from someone I do not know. Then I get a banner and I am told I am a sockpuppet by someone (not you). And now your are involved and I have no idea who you or the other persons even are.

I got involved with Wikipedia because I was told there was extreme hostitity toward high schools and that it was very necessary for me to vote to defend them. I can only believe that this is true and that my interest in high schools is the reason the guy called User:Hipocrite is attacking me and calling me a sockpuppet, which, I gather, is a slur and an ugly thing to accuss someone of -- not only accuse me but put a big banner on my personal page and publically label me.

This does not engender good feelings in me about Wikipedia and I am beginning to understand all the hostility that is around. Capit 19:54, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User was able to quote and link policy on their 6th edit [1], was using insider-terms on their 9th [2], and knew about their user page on their 5th. Obviously a sock, I suspect SIB given that user becaume abusive following around editors who opposed SIB, but no need for a tag. If this incarnation of whichever user it is ceases all disruptive behavior, they will certainly be welcome here. If user insists on getting involved disruptively on a going forward basis, their tenure will be short. It's their call. Hipocrite - «Talk» 19:56, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My reply which I am keeping a record of due to the hostility around here:

So what I was told was true. I'm not sure what those links are supposed to illustrate but assume something negative. I did what another person told me to do about the the Kent High School thing, because, believe me, I don't know anything about that high school.

I did what I was told which was obviously the wrong thing. I don't think your attacks on me make any advice you give to me credible. I am copying this to my page as I have been told to keep a record of what is going on toward me. Capit 20:14, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My advice is to keep cool. The more you fight and the more this will esculate. Just let it blow over. I'm sorry that your entry to wikipedia has appeard hostile, well AfD can be a battle ground sometimes. Get some good edits under your belt and you may find a better reaction. (ps I responded because you posted in village pump technical asking for help) --Salix alba (talk) 20:41, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Who told you to do something about Kent Meridian? How do you know them? Where did they tell you to do this? Hipocrite - «Talk» 20:42, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My reply which I am keeping a record of due to the hostility around here: Thank you for leaving a pleasant message But please ask the Hipicrite guy to leave me alone. I can't be cool or feel good about this place while he contiues to send me hostile messages.

I don't know how you guys operate but it seems there is a definite hierarchy and I am at the bottom. The Hipicrite guy just sent me another message. Nothing constructive for me has come out of any interaction with him. I am not going to answer him and I hope I don't get into trouble for that and get another attacking banner on my personal page. He seems to think I am up to something when what could that possibly be? I feel like I am in a police state. Capit 21:16, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Capit[edit]

I'm happy to leave him alone. I certainly hope that his disruptive personal attacks will stop. Hipocrite - «Talk» 21:29, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you see how this Hipocrite has a fixed idea of me and seems to assume I am prone to make personal attacks? And he spreads this around on other talk pages such as yours? Because I did one person on Wikipedia a favor on one issue, which maybe that user led me wrong, now I am being labelled forever as a person who makes "disruptive personal attacks". This is over one issue - schools -- which this Hipocrite seems overly sensitive about. I think I will complain on the link page you gave me. Capit 12:11, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To Hipocrite:Please stop passing around that I have a history of personal attacks[edit]

Please stop passing around that I have a history of personal attacks. You have fasten your mind on one issue in which I did a person a favor. That has been discussed already through your attacks on me and your labelling me with a banner on my page.

Please provide my with my "history of personal attacks". I want to see this history and if you do not provide it to me, I will complain on a link I was given to make such complaints. Capit 12:19, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikify tags[edit]

Please do not remove the tags if you are not doing any work to the articles. Wikifying means bringing it to Wikipedia standards by adding internal links, proper formating, and sections where necessary. This is not what you did here [3], here [4], and here [5] among other edits. Please be more careful and don't just simply remove the tag. Metros232 12:36, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Those edits, done on the instructions of someone else, all occurred at the same time and therefore can be considered one incident. A person told me some extremely upsetting things about a school page and that the person who was trying to delete the school page systematically did this to school pages all the time. So I did what he said to do. This incident, one incident, has now been pointed out to me numberous times and spread around on other pages too, and resulted in a rude welcome page from Hipocrite/Mestros232 and a slandering banner on my user page. I want to know how this constitutes a "history of personal attacks"? You/Hipocrite seem to assume that I am a complete idiot and that I must be a bad person (sockpuppet). I was helping a friend out. O.K. I broke a rule unknowingly. I did not know I was removing tags, although perhaps I did so in a hurry. (But I do not know what tag(s) you are referring to.) In any event, a friend wanted me to insert certain things into that one page, and so I tried. I have seen things inserted into talk pages out of order all the time (if that is what you are referring to). All I know was that I was give the link to the page, and to help my friend I tried to put in the remarks he wanted in to point out the behavior of a bad person who was also attacking my friend. I did the whole thing in a hurry because my friend said there was a time pressure. Maybe I made mistakes and removed tags unwittingly. I hope the person initiating that deletion has also been punished too because that person was also making attacks. Otherwise, I'm beginning to think that there is a group of people (or maybe the same person under different names) who are trying to drive me off Wikipedia. Besides this particular incident involving that one page, I want to know what this "history of personal attacks" I have. Capit 13:12, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uhh...what? All I did was point out that you're removing the wikify tags without doing anything with the article. I don't see how that leads you to conclude I'm Hipocrite! I work the wikification drive and happened to note that you had edited a lot of articles in the July category and removed them without actually doing anything to the articles. I was simply pointing this out. I don't know how this leads you to conclude that I'm the same person as Hipocrite, I really don't. Metros232 13:15, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PhaseSpace[edit]

And why would you say that's improper? They pointed me to the rules and I followed them. I can just as easily have Mark Bolas create the page, and will likely do so in the next round of silly games. Also who keeps deleting it without asking me or even saying why? When they give a rational argument, I respond with a reply, and then someone goes and deletes it anyway. What is the point of discussion, when they just change the rules? Tmcsheery 22:44, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't orphan articles before they are deleted[edit]

Regarding this edit, please do not remove links to an article from other articles in the midst of the article's proposed deletion or AfD discussion. It is the responsibility of the deleting sysop. Thanks, Kimchi.sg 03:58, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
