I know your busy; but ive just redone Dotty Cotton. Is there any way you could do a history merge to get all the edits from my sandbox to the article, many thanks MayhemMario 13:48, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Mine gives 1 hour, but I have a friend's log in as well. Also, this morning I got a little bit of free time from elsewhere, where I was meant to be doing a job search activity, but I brought the latest Inside Soap to update Ray Dixon. I think I did a good job there! –anemoneprojectors– 16:00, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Editing query about Come Dine With Me

Hi AP. I am really sorry to bother you, but you are the only administrator that I am aware of who would know things about british television. I was on the Come Dine With Me Wikipedia Page and noticed something odd. A user named KarenWroeArtist updated the page. (She had appeared on the show in Series 3 as Karen Oulton.) What happened was that she updated her name to Karen Oulton a.k.a. Karen Wroe and in her first edit she added link to her website on the bottom where the references go. I reverted her edits, as Wikipedia is not a place for self-promotion and her episode description lists her as Karen Oulton. She rereverted her edit and said that there was some sort of copyright claim with using her artwork in the show. (you can see her reasoning in the CDWM edit history) Every time I revert her edits, she reverts back. I think Karen has a grudge against the producers of the show and wants to set people straight. I don't know how to respond to her reverts, other tha what I have written and I don't know the Wikipedia policy in a case such as this can you point me in the right direction. Her episode description is below.

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/come-dine-with-me/episode-guide/series-3/episode-59

Thanks. Again, I'm sorry to bother you.70.83.85.91 (talk) 20:55, 5 January 2012 (UTC)samusek2

Hi, I think you are right to revert this. However, you don't need someone familiar with British TV to answer this query. She may have broken the three-revert rule. Unfortunately I don't really have time to deal with this myself, but if she starts doing it again, would you contact another administrator by posting to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents? –anemoneprojectors– 13:04, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

MLA vs. citation templates

There are reasons I no longer use citation templates: they are time-consuming, have larger amount of text, and barely readable. Why preferring templates? MLA has convenient stuff. --George Ho (talk) 21:33, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

I don't know what MLA is but using citation templates keeps every citation in the articles to the same standard. They're not time consuming if you use the cite button on the toolbar, and they are not barely readable. Your way of doing it is totally not the way to do it on Wikipedia. –anemoneprojectors– 12:51, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Template Deletion Request

Hello Anemone. Could you please delete Template:CSBaldwin? There was a discussion to delete all the family templates but that one was missed. The discussion to confirm the deletion is located at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2011 December 31#Coronation Street Templates. Cheers, GSorbyPing 01:04, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

DONE!!! I always hated those templates. Even though they were my idea to start with!!!! –anemoneprojectors– 13:40, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Urrr, is that making any sense? I suppose the novelty wore off eh? ;) GSorbyPing 13:42, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
I was trying to come up with a way to get as many EastEnders characters into navigation templates as possible, as we only had current characters before. So I came up with the family template idea and it went to pretty much all the UK soaps. Then when I came up with the better one with all present and past characters listed, the EE family ones got removed and deleted as unused. –anemoneprojectors– 13:44, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Picture Use?

Hi, this picture of the judges of The Voice could I use on a article? What rationale would it need? And could I chop off the black rectangle at the bottom of the picutre? MayhemMario 17:47, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

I don't think you can use it as we don't use non-free images for The X Factor, you'd have to find free images of them either together or individually. –anemoneprojectors– 14:09, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited List of The X Factor finalists (UK series 7), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Up All Night (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Help!

Help! I know youve contributed a lot to the X Factor pages, so can you just give me a few tips for The Voice sandbox? Im a bit confused as what to name the subheadings as:

The quote from will.i.am saying The Voice is not like X Factor is not History, its more Differences? The BBC getting it off ITV is not History its more making?

Help!!! Thanks :)MayhemMario 20:06, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

I'd put them both under history... A "differences" section wouldn't be necessary, as it's its own independent show, and there's a main article anyway. Maybe the quote isn't even needed. "Making" is the same thing as history, right? –anemoneprojectors– 13:02, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! So im guessing your not interested in The Voice UK? ;) MayhemMario 12:37, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
It doesn't really interest me as much as The X Factor. Also I'm trying not to really invest in any new TV shows at the moment. And if it'll be on at the weekend chances are I'll never see it anyway. –anemoneprojectors– 13:33, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Big Brother UK Navbox

Should the years be included in the navbox for Big Brother UK? --MSalmon (talk) 17:43, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

I don't think they were needed. But years always creep into navboxes. I'm not sure of the official stance, but my opinion is that they're for navigation between articles, not to give further information. –anemoneprojectors– 13:59, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
By the way, I started a discussion you should get involved in at Template talk:The X Factor (UK)#Xtra Factor presenters. –anemoneprojectors– 13:59, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

EastEnders episodes

I was wondering if you could explain this edit in which you redirected a fledgling article on EastEnders episodes to the EastEnders page? Is there some consensus that an episode list for this series is not advisable or wanted? If so, can you cite that? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:22, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

I think an article containing details on two episodes is rather unhelpful. I think you should work on it in your userspace first, but be aware that two users (myself and one other) have been working very hard for a few years on EastEnders episodes articles. –anemoneprojectors– 15:14, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Well I can see that it wasn't your article anyway. Why are you asking about it? Also, it seems at least one other user agreed with the redirection. –anemoneprojectors– 15:17, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

History merge?

Hi, ive just finished my sandbox draft for Jan Uddin, User:MayhemMario/sandbox:Jan Uddin, its a new article, so is there any way you can merge all my edits to the new article? MayhemMario 15:40, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

There's no article for Jan Uddin, so you can just move your userspace into the mainspace, and it'll move the history. –anemoneprojectors– 15:42, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks :) MayhemMario 15:50, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
No probs. A history merge is only necessary if the article already exists and you've been working on it in your userspace, or if two articles need to be merged into one (I once found two articles on the same person but the name was spelt slightly differently between them!). –anemoneprojectors– 15:55, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

User:AnemoneProjectors/List of EastEnders cast members/redlinks. MayhemMario 16:29, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh yeah that. Well I was meaning to merge the redlinks and the minor ones together. User:AnemoneProjectors/List of EastEnders cast members/minor. I find it helpful to have a link to all actors from EastEnders, then when I add a new one to an "others" list I can check "what links here" to see if they were in it before! Sometimes old characters have ended up listed twice, cos they use the same police officers, nurses, etc, over and over again. –anemoneprojectors– 16:32, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
And yes it did take ages. But for now it'll just be a dumping ground for those not on the main page. –anemoneprojectors– 16:33, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Mitchell Family Tree

Since characters in the Mitchell Family (Like Archie, Eric, "Michael") are deceased, should their shapes not have X's throught them like on the Beale/Fowler and Branning trees? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dontforgetthisone (talkcontribs) 00:54, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

It's something that could be considered, yes, though I think there's a reason not to as well, as characters aren't always dead, for example, Bradley Branning may be dead as of 20 February 2012, but he wasn't dead while he was in the programme, and the family tree, like the rest of the EastEnders articles, should represent the whole time in the series. –anemoneprojectors– 16:04, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

1985 image of Nick Cotton

I don't know what to do; GSorby is history-insistant, while I am considering personality rights. File:Nick Cotton (1985).jpg said almost nothing about living person. File:John Altman Nick Cotton BBC EastEnders 1985.jpg is written by me and consists of considerations on living person. Which one must be kept for the "Nick Cotton" article? --George Ho (talk) 01:36, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

(talk page stalker), Look George (Ho), there the same image, it really does not matter which is kept. I personally would go with GSorby's as that is how all EE images rationales look like, and all EE images are fine, but I think your being a tad pathetic asking everyone for their opinions about one image which is the same thing, so obviosuly wait for AP to comment, but if I were you, try and settle this with GSorby. MayhemMario 11:47, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Okay... how is my rationale then? --George Ho (talk) 19:48, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
The image is the same so I don't see why you felt the need to upload an identical one with a different name. If you thought the rationale needed strengthening, all you had to do was edit the image description page... –anemoneprojectors– 13:14, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

How to resolve with GSorby, Raintheone, and EE Project

I don't know. I reported GSorby at WP:3RRN, but Raintheone also removed the images as unnecessary. Also, in Talk:EastEnders, GSorby clearly expressed his disapproval toward me. I'm too sensitive on that. What have I done wrong in Wikipedia? --George Ho (talk) 00:43, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

The members of WP:EE are so well established and know each other so well that when we see someone new come along sometimes it looks like they're doing bad things. Although you've been bold, which is a good thing, we tend to prefer discussion. The character list rearragement and the restoration of Reg Cox images were both unnecessary and I think we felt they should have been discussed first. I think that's all I can tell you really. –anemoneprojectors– 13:03, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Update of Marsden.

Hi! Hope you are well! I have come to you as all your storyline updates are great, so could you update Marsden? She is three episodes behind now, I think. 1. Ian telling her its all lies. Thank you very much! MayhemMario 12:03, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Hey whilst looking at the user contribs for The Voice UK it says ive only done 11, [1]. What's happened? Or maybe it is juts out of date- by the time you get to looking at it, it may of changed! What do you think of the article? MayhemMario 20:25, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
Mario, you have done far more than 11 edits. GSorbyPing 20:45, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
Guessing you don't need me to merge now. I didn't edit yesterday because I was out with my mum and didn't get time to visit the library :-) The article at a glance looks great but I don't think every section needs a "Main article" link at the top, as the names are linked in the sections anyway, and there's probably not much about The Voice in some of the articles (especially speculated coaches). By the way, I don't think the word "judges" should be used because they're called coaches, never judges. Except for the infobox, as that can't be changed. –anemoneprojectors– 13:05, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

I already told you on your talk page that it does not need renaming yet, at least not in the way you did so. Please also read that page's talk page. A decision has now been made on what name should be used and the page was moved. But you were trying to disambiguate the page name unnecessarily.. –anemoneprojectors– 12:26, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Hey

"Hurt" and Hurt: The EP charted as a combined single, does that mean "Hurt" can be listed as a single in the info box? Aaron You Da One 16:33, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

My thought is that in the UK, EPs chart as singles anyway, and as the song "Hurt" wasn't specifically released as a single, it wouldn't be considered a single from the EP. EPs, in my mind, are like singles with 3 or 4 lead tracks, much like a double-A side. I know Abba-esque is pre-digital download days but that's an EP that charted in the singles chart, as did all EPs back then, and it's probably the same rules now. But no, it wasn't a separate single from the EP. –anemoneprojectors– 13:18, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
What about promotional? Aaron You Da One 21:51, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
No, because the EP was released as an EP. "Hurt" may have been the lead track but it wasn't anything else, not a single of any other type. Just an EP. –anemoneprojectors– 12:13, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Celebrity Big Brother naming pattern

Hi I managed to get the majority of the Big Brother UK articles moved over from years to numbers but I am having trouble with six articles in particular mainly Celebrity Big Brother articles. I left a list over @ the CBB9 UK talk page of the ones I can't move. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 04:17, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

I've replied there, I'm happy to do the moves but the discussion has carried on so not everyone might be in agreement just yet. So I shall wait until I hear from someone again. –anemoneprojectors– 12:11, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

A little advice if you can!

Hiya! Just wondering if you have time to look over the edits I have made to List of EastEnders characters (1985). Im trying to smarten it up a bit by adding actor names to characters, getting rid of some unencyclopedic turns of phrase, and most crucially sorting out the tense that some of the text is written in, particularly storyline info. Ive made quite a few edits, but im not sure if im making a hash of the tense stuff. I know time is precious for you, but do you think you could have a look and give me some pointers? Bleaney (talk) 00:37, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Hiya, done a quick diff of all your edits. Adding the actors' names is perfect, tenses look good to me though I think a few have been missed like "[Character] was played by...". I think in this case we should try to not put "was" or "is" and put "[Character], played by [actor], is...". At least that's what I've tried to do. A lot of the old articles are still written in past tense, so many need changing. I was planning to have gone through all the yearly lists by now and done it all myself! –anemoneprojectors– 13:13, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, i'll keep going then!! Bleaney (talk) 14:39, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

HI. Why do you say that this contains "important stuff"? Apart from a WikiProject tag, there is only unsourced gossip in the form of edit requests. JohnCD (talk) 15:33, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

The WikiProject tag is important stuff. As is the page history, which did not require deletion and recreation. –anemoneprojectors– 13:36, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
OK. I have blanked from the talk pages edit requests containing unsourced gossip about family and girlfriends, which ought not to be on display. JohnCD (talk) 20:07, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Eurovision: Discussion on recategorizing

Hello,

There is currently a discussion ongoing at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision#Recategorising on the proposal of recategorising following the rollout exercise of the new navigation templates (navboxes) within Eurovision articles. The consequences of this discussion could have a large impact on how articles are reorganized in future to provide an easier index system, so all project members are invited to participate in the discussion.

The Voice UK (series 1)

Hi, I don't know if you are following The Voice UK but there is a discussion about whether the artists should be included in the list of songs (like The X Factor). --MSalmon (talk) 19:00, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

I've been watching but not paying attention to the articles. I don't see the need to include the artists next to the performed song, but the difference here is that the artist is given along with the name of the song being performed. One thing that does need to change for sure is those green ticks! And I think there's again and overuse of colour, for example, it's fine to have a colour for eliminated artists but do we need one for the other artist who wasn't eliminated? I will reply to your comment there and put the page on my watchlist. –anemoneprojectors– 12:29, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Branning Family Tree

Alan and Carol are divorced. Martin and Sonia aren't divorced. Derek and his ex-wife are the parents of Alice and Joey. 173.69.8.105 (talk) 01:52, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

I knew there was one divorce I had missed. Thanks. –anemoneprojectors– 12:47, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
What about the other trees? Are you gonna update them or just the Brannings? Arjoccolenty (talk) 03:13, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
When I have time. I still only have a small amount of time on the internet per day from my local library. I am not back full time yet, and I have a lot of other things to do. I have to start them all from scratch, which takes time. –anemoneprojectors– 13:10, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
You'll be pleased to know I did the Beale tree. I added Ray's name but couldn't think of any other changes that needed to be done. –anemoneprojectors– 14:42, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
Mistakes for the Beale Family Tree (update when you can): Maggie's maiden name is Medeemey (born out of wedlock), her husband Sean isn't dead (last we heard), Eamonn Sr. and Brenda had 5 children: Colette, Eamonn, Kylie, Declan and Carl, Ronnie Beale died of cardiomyopathy, Martin and Sonia are still married (albeit estranged), Sonia's maiden name is Jackson, Cindy Williams died of a pulmonary embolism whilst giving birth to Cindy Williams Jr., Lorraine's (David's ex-wife) maiden name is Foster. Oh and probably not important, but Albert Beale had an aunt named Dolly. If you are wondering, I love doing family trees but it hurts that I can't use GenoPro. Arjoccolenty (talk) 03:38, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Maggie's maiden name should be that of her father (as it has never been specified, we can only assume that the law of the United Kingdom would have been followed). I'll do the rest, but I won't add Albert's aunt! I thought I put Martin and Sonia as married, oops. Why can't you use GenoPro? –anemoneprojectors– 12:45, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Oh with Martin and Sonia I just selected the wrong colour - they are automatically grey and I accidentally put blue instead of black! –anemoneprojectors– 12:55, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Because I have a Mac and I can't run it on there. I don't have the software that lets me run Windows applications on MacBook Pro. And I'm not versed on the law of the UK very well, US wise it would have been the mother's maiden name (as it was with Bianca being Branning before Jackson). Anyway, other then that, its fine. Since you do not have a computer I won't bother you about the Mitchell family tree (yes, I did that also. =P). Arjoccolenty (talk) 15:44, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Project Eurovision RFC discussion reminder

WikiProject Eurovision: This is a reminder to all members of Project Eurovision, that there is still an ongoing RfC discussion taking place at the project talk page. It is vital that everyone participates in this discussion, as it concerns the future manual of style and article layout in regards to Eurovision Song Contest by Year and Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Year articles. This is your ideal opportunity to contribute suggestions and ideas on a major issue, which will reflect on the way these articles will be written in future. Thank You! Overlinking

Hi, I was interested in this comment; I am having trouble seeing in WP:OVERLINK the statement you made in your edit summary that "every name in a table should be linked, regardless of previous linking - overlinking does not apply to tables". Perhaps if you wish to you should propose that such a text be adopted, but I am pretty sure this does not state the current position. --John (talk) 12:50, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, it says "Generally, a link should appear only once in an article, but if helpful for readers, links may be repeated in infoboxes, tables, image captions, footnotes, and at the first occurrence after the lead." It doesn't say that every instance should be linked though, but I am sure at some GA or FA somewhere that I was involved in or have seen, that it wasn't going to pass unless everything was linked. If it wasn't a GA or FA, it was something similar. –anemoneprojectors– 10:33, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Dennis Rickman Jr.

Hey AP, just wondering about the family parameter for Dennis Rickman Jr. I understand that we don't know if he has met his aunt Vicki and he won't have met Den, but surely it's worth a mention of Den? One of the most iconic characters in the soap and he is one of the true Watts characters left.

Also why revert the sentence at the beginning? Alex250P (talk) 14:22, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

I didn't revert, I rearranged. And no, only relatives important to this character, so his direct relatives (parents, siblings) and those he shares storylines with. So for now, just Sharon and Dennis. –anemoneprojectors– 14:24, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, you mean the lead part. I didn't know I was reverting that and didn't get an edit conflict as I should have. Dennis wasn't really announced though. No more time to reply now, my time is up. I'll be back on Tuesday. –anemoneprojectors– 14:27, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

Janet Devlin AfD

Hi Anemone, you recently zapped Janet Devlin (singer) (converted it into a redirect), which was subject to an ongoing AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Janet Devlin (singer). Will you be closing the AfD too? I realise you may not have been aware of the AfD, because user Gsklubb had removed the AfD template an hour or so before your actions.
I agree the article was premature, but I'm interested to know why you redirected the article before the outcome of an AfD. Has it been subject to an AfD in the past? Sionk (talk) 13:04, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

I had no idea there was an open AFD for the article, as there was no notice present. Otherwise I would have commented on it instead. I will revert my actions and wait. –anemoneprojectors– 13:09, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Message from the Editorial Team

Bienvenue! Willkommen! Welcome!

Please be warm-hearted in encouraging everyone to do their best to contribute to all Eurovision-related Wikipedia articles, and welcome our new members to the project. It is easy for editors to get into conflict with each other, and things can get very nasty on the most trivial of issues, whether that be on the language of songs, the names of certain countries, or how we deal with incidents at the contest. In such circumstances it is worth remembering one thing: we are all here to build an encyclopedia, and the contribution of Eurovision to human knowledge can only be given justice if we work together and make articles, not drama!

  • If you would like something to appear in the August 2012 Edition of the newsletter, then please inform us at the Project Newsdesk.
  • If there is an article you think we should have? Request it here.

Happy editing!

Project News
  • When creating new articles about a performer or song, please remember to add sources either from Eurovision.tv, ESCToday or other reliable sources. If you're not sure a source is reliable enough, then ask the project for an opinion.
  • Remember to only add content to articles that is relevant to the article's main subject. Anything not in relation to the article may be questioned and/or subject to redirection to an article that would benefit it's inclusion. Again if in doubt, ask on the article or project talk pages for an opinion - communication is an important tool.
  • On the subject of communication, please make use of the article talk pages. They are a vital tool in conducting consensus talks of additions of proposed new sections and/or removal of unnecessary section. If you don't use these pages to put across your views, then you only have yourself to blame if actions are taken that you disagree with and you end up wandering into edit warring territory.
  • The 2012 season of Eurovision has drawn to a close, and we now start preparations for the 2013 edition. While things will be slow to start of with, now is the ideal opportunity to do a clean-up exercise across articles relating to the project. There's over 4,500 articles associated with the project. If you happen to see a Eurovision related article without the {{EurovisionNotice}} template on the article's talk page, please add it. You can also read Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment if you would like to help assess or reassess articles in our project if you see that they have outgrown their current assessment. There is currently one unassessed article.
  • And finally... a massive thank you to all members of the project for your constant hard work on collaborating and contributing to Eurovision related articles. Keep up the good work team!

Project Alerts
Headlines
Project Gossip
  • The RfC discussion in regards to article layout, is still taking place on the project talk page. Could all members please ensure that they participate in the discussion so that we can all agree on important article structure issues. If you don't take part, then you only have yourselves to blame if a consensus is passed that you disagree with.

Beale Family Update That I Missed

I totally forget to tell you to add two other marriages: Michelle to her husband Tim and Dora and her unnamed husband. Whenever you get time, whether it be a few weeks or a few years, can you update it, or if you don't wanna, could you tell me why? Arjoccolenty (talk) 14:13, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Well people are saying that she is still Janine Butcher, so I'm just going with that. The credits seem to agree, and other stuff too. The Laura thing is weird! And Mark Wright's Hollywood Nights is meant to be rubbish (not my opinion, just what I heard! It doesn't interest me). –anemoneprojectors– 12:48, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

Misha Bryan

How annoying! Done. –anemoneprojectors– 12:18, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
Me again. Maybe you or someone involved with the X-Factor Project can advise NewzealanderA about their repeated attempt to move Misha Bryan (singer) to main space. The Misha Bryan article was moved to NewzealanderA's user space after the last speedy delete, so they could 'improve' the article. Unfortunately they seem to have simply brought it back to main space after a bit of cleaning up. I have already tried to re-explain the situation on the article's Talk page.
I'm beginning to think I should join the X-factor Project, but then I am more of a Strictly Come Dancing fan myself :D Sionk (talk) 05:34, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
I think I'll protect it anyway. An article about her should be at Misha B, but she's not yet notable enough. –anemoneprojectors– 09:30, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
You've probably noticed, its back again. Presumably one has to be an admin to revert this sort of thing? Sionk (talk) 21:41, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)

Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:

It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.

At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).

Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.

If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:06, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Just in case you are ready (Branning updates)

You need to put the first James Branning, his wife, Jim's father and mother, Jim's nephew Gordon and Gordon's parents, his father (Jim's brother) and his mother. And Violet for now we can presume is Jim's aunt from his father. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason why you don't put them is because there are too many unnamed relatives?

Aside from that, Robbie married Nita Mistry and had an unnamed son with her (apparently). A man named Ken was Suzy's ex-husband and the father of her two kids. It says so on Walford Web Wiki. I don't have a source just yet, but he was portrayed by Shaun McKay and appeared on the April 29 wedding of Carol and Alan. I've been trying to track down that episode and a source but so far, no such luck. Just update when you are able to. It sucks that GenoPro isn't available to Mac users. Arjoccolenty (talk) 07:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, I will hopefully do this next week. I'm not sure about adding some of the more distant ones, but I'll see. –anemoneprojectors– 13:43, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
When you do GenoPro, how do you make lines separate? Whenever I do it, all the lines are connected. Sort of like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/archive/7/76/20090322154244%21Branningjackson.png I don't know how else to explain it. The lines aren't separate like how you do it. Arjoccolenty (talk) 05:36, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
You have to play about with the lines, you can make them go anywhere you want by clicking and dragging the points on the lines. –anemoneprojectors– 12:12, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
I've now added Nita and their son, plus Ken. I haven't added the others as they're a bit distant and haven't actually appeared, and we can't be sure that Violet was actually related. –anemoneprojectors– 13:12, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
I do the clicking and dragging, but the lines come out crooked. If it helped, I downloaded Beta13h. Arjoccolenty (talk) 23:52, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
I don't know what Beta13h means. Yeah they do come out crooked, but you have to play around. Actually, some of them wouldn't go as I wanted them so when I copied the tree and pasted it to Paint to save it as a PNG, I had to edit some of the lines to put them where I wanted them. –anemoneprojectors– 12:07, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Tracey EE

Hey. I spotted someone had created Tracey Palmer at the weekend and wasn't quite sure what to do with it, so I redirected it to Tracey's list entry for now. I was thinking about placing a speedy delete tag on it, but didn't think any of them were appropriate (would it be considered a hoax because her surname was made up?). - JuneGloom Talk 12:40, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

This Quinser's person has been making other stuff up - changing Deano and Carly from Wicks to Carter! I'll delete it as it's a "recently created, implausible redirect"! –anemoneprojectors– 12:43, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Re: Misha B/ accusation

Many thanks for your advice and improvements, especially since your time is very limited and guide so many pages, think I am dun dun dun on The X Factor (UK series 8) page until at least someone decides to correct or incorrect that small section.......Zoebuggie☺whispers 13:56, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Ben is Lexi's father?

I know that people have assumed that Ben is the father of Lola's baby, but has it actually ever been said anywhere like in spoilers or stuff? Arjoccolenty (talk) 23:12, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm sure I read an interview or something with Danielle Harold mentioning Ben being the father. I can't double check right now, though as I'm not at home and entertainment sites are blocked from this location. I might be able to check a bit later. –anemoneprojectors– 09:47, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm at a disadvantage being a US viewer and unable to get access to the magazines of the UK. Would that mean that Lexi is double related to everybody in her family also? (For example, Phil being her grandfather and second cousin thrice removed?) Arjoccolenty (talk) 11:58, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Here's what I found
  • Why won't she name the dad? Is it Ben? Jay? "Lola doesn't want him or his family involved." [5]
  • Lola has refused to reveal the identity of the father of her child[6]
  • The Albert Square teenager - who is hiding the secret that killer Ben Mitchell is the father of her baby - is starting to realise the realities of being pregnant[7]
So some sources say Ben is the father, but in the show Lola obviously isn't going to say. When I go home I'll see if I can find anything in the magazines. –anemoneprojectors– 12:04, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
As for being doubly related - yes she will be, but if we are going to list other relatives, we'd do it by the closest association, so Ben would be father, Lola mother, Phil would be grandfather, Billy great grandfather, and for someone like Roxy we'd go via Ben's side rather than Lola's (can't be bothered to work it out right now). But most of them would be "other relatives" for both anyway, and we're not going to list them unless the relationship is somehow defining of the character. –anemoneprojectors– 12:07, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Danielle Harold and Kate White of Inside Soap stated that Ben was the father in last week's (14-20 July) issue. - JuneGloom Talk 13:38, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
That's what I thought I'd seen, thanks. –anemoneprojectors– 13:40, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Well if thats what they said, then I'm all for it. And don't bother working out the relatives. This is why no matter how distant you are away from someone, you never have a baby with your cousin. Anyway I was just making sure, since we know that Lola is a bit loose with her sexuality. Arjoccolenty (talk) 20:31, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Actually, I had a look at the article and although Inside Soap said Ben's the father, Danielle Harold didn't, so I'm not so sure. But I hope if it's Ben, we find out for sure before he leaves. Just FYI, my great grandparents were cousins! But Ben and Lola aren't (first) cousins, they're third cousins once removed! –anemoneprojectors– 13:13, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

Corrie Articles..

Hey AP, just wondering if you're still involved in the Coronation Street articles/clean-up etc.? Just had to go through and update lots of articles that were shockingly out of date and I realised that Kirsty Soames is still part of the '(2011) articles' and I think it would be a great article to separate and create one of its own and expand due to her being involved in such a high-profile storyline. I'd just like to hear your opinions :) Alex250P (talk) 17:43, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I only have a handful of Corrie pages on my watchlist and at the moment I'm not even checking them - as I only have access via the library still and that's only for an hour or two a day, I just concentrate on EastEnders and X Factor, then spend the rest of my time doing other stuff. However, I would have expected Kirsty to be split off at least! Especially with the domestic abuse stuff, there must be loads of sources out there. –anemoneprojectors– 13:15, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I started working on an article for Kirsty offline a little while ago, maybe I should move it to my userpace and get it finished? - JuneGloom Talk 22:32, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Is this useful?

[8]. Also yesterday, were you talking about Harry Black here? — M.Mario (T/C) 13:48, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Yes it might be, and I don't recognise that man, but I was thinking of Michael Leader. –anemoneprojectors– 13:50, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Kitty Brucknell

Hi Anemone, as you are an admin would you be willing to revert Kitty Brucknell to its previous state as a redirect to List of The X Factor finalists (UK series 8). As a non-admin, I'm not sure I should be doing that sort of thing myself, however tempting it may be. Sionk (talk) 23:15, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Done, but I think you can do this yourself. –anemoneprojectors– 13:34, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Who Do you think you are? episode numbering?

Hi Anemone, thanks for the correction. I just changed the * for a # because that is what was done with last year's series as seen in the edit below by Cwmxii, and you seemed to be all right with that even if we did not know the complete running order then. Changing the order of names with a # in front of them is the same as a *. Although both of those formats are acceptable. I am not mad I just wanted to give you my reasoning for altering your edit

Here is the edit from last yaar showing last year's list in progress http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Who_Do_You_Think_You_Are%3F_%28British_TV_series%29&diff=444265948&oldid=443905436 70.53.220.199 (talk) 14:53, 31 July 2012 (UTC)samusek2

That's cool. I just didn't want it to appear misleading, as people could assume that is the actual running order. Although I think it's better this way, perhaps if someone wants to put the numbers back, we could add a note that the running order is not yet known. –anemoneprojectors– 14:55, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Misha B -Little bit of edit waring

Hi Anemone your advice is sort... we seem to have a little bit of edit waring going on, user Rui78901 or 82.3.66.180 (talk)‎ (clearly the same person) keeps trying to revert the page layout to a jumbled mess, loosing reference and citations, removing bits that make this artist notable etc. Both me and sionk have reverted this users unhelpful edits a few times since the page has been public...looking at their talk page I can see many poor contributions, but no reply from this editor....Zoebuggie☺whispers 20:03, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

My advice would be to raise it first with Rui78901, ask them to discuss major re-writes first. But maybe Anemone's advice will be different ;) Sionk (talk) 20:19, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
I will do that, I was not sure if they took notice of their talk page as the are a few repeated errors/complaints and no responses from the user themself....Zoebuggie☺whispers 20:28, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Image Revert?

Hi Anemone, I tried to get a couple of images of EE actors and actresses cropped and made better, and although they do look better, they are turning up wierd on some articles: Derek Branning and Darren Miller (this is beacuse the article does not realize that the image has been updated). Anyway, is there anyway you can revert the images? To the original that is, but only if you agree they should be:

I messed up this time, and I put my hands up admit it. I was only trying to either crop the watermarks, crop Ricky to get rid of the hand, or crop it so its the same(ish) lenght by width. Anyway, its been done now. So, if you can, or no someone, it would be much appreciated. — M.Mario (T/C) 10:39, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi Mario. I've reverted these for you. I will sort them out properly tonight. GeorgePing! 12:13, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I'm confused. –anemoneprojectors– 13:27, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I've been linked here from my talk. Mario requested a series of file changes at WP:GL/P - but some changes had an undesired effect. Cheryl Fergison looked as though she had a flood light shining in her face. The crop on Ricky Norwood was extreme and lost a large portion. There are tools to remove watermarks without needing to crop - so that shouldn't be a problem. George has reverted some of them now.. I think it would have been a good idea to have created a separate file for Norwood's image incase another editor wanted to use the entire original portraying him signing autographs. And like with Ameet Chana, someone may have liked to have used the picture of him receiving an award - rather than his headshot. So some changes were okay, but others not so (IMO).Rain the 1 14:18, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, usually on Commons you create a new image, though it's not always necessary. I noticed some changes were pretty poor. Anyway, all sorted now??? –anemoneprojectors– 14:25, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for that GSorby. Like Rain said, I asked for crops (but the images were brightened aswell) - Ricky was extreme. That was the worse. — M.Mario (T/C) 16:49, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Eurovision: Recent changes

Hello,

Please note that there have been some changes to operations surrounding Eurovision articles, these being that:

Glassheart

Hi Anemone,

Hope you are well? Its been a long time! I've done a rewrite of Glassheart - a lot of trash got added and it had bad coherence in my absence. IPs running right with crap sources and whatnot. I've also started an article for second single: "Trouble". Didn't know if you were still editing Leona Articles or not. A few things

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that it seems Jake Picasso is back. I'll help keep an eye out for him, as I don't know how familiar some of the other EE editors (GSorby, Mario, etc) are with his edits. Also, I noticed you're currently working on a draft for Kat's affair and I've just started a draft for an upcoming car crash in Neighbours and was wondering whether it would be a good idea to create a storyline infobox? We have one for episodes, but I haven't seen anything suitable for storylines. One final thing, is this what you were looking for in regards to Poppy's article - MOS:DASH? - JuneGloom Talk 15:05, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) - I think the storyline infobox is a great idea - Whitney's Story sandbox would definetly benefit. With Poppy, I have to admit I thought that you and GSorby are correct, but it would have got picked up on a FA review, (actually three), so is the current the correct style? — M.Mario (T/C) 15:56, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
AP, is this of any use to you - [9]? - JuneGloom Talk 20:10, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
I don't really notice Jake anymore, he pops up every now and then, but as I'm not here much now I only see his SPI page being archived! He doesn't seem to edit anything that's on my radar either. At least others are noticing. A storyline infobox would be good. I've thought about it before but didn't know what to do about it. We have other storylines too - Sharongate, Who Shot Phil, etc. And I did see MOS:DASH, and other things, but I can't find anything that specifically mentions the year thing. And thanks for the source, I'll have a look when I get time. –anemoneprojectors– 11:48, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
I think we have enough storyline articles around that could use an infobox. I have another Neighbours draft that is almost finished and there's a H&A storyline article already in the mainspace. Should we draft one? User:RexxS found the relevant dash info in the end: MOS:DOB, WP:OTHERDATE and WP:EMDASH. - JuneGloom Talk 16:39, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Small problem; Amelia Lily exists, but User:Lizzy Green has created Amelia Lily (entertainer). Can the second article just be redirected to the first one or will the contents/history have to be merged? - JuneGloom Talk 01:05, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Oops, I forgot you don't tend to be around at the weekend. - JuneGloom Talk 15:55, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Someone deleted it! –anemoneprojectors– 12:40, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Found another source that I think might come in handy for you - [10]. Have you had any more thoughts about a storyline infobox? - JuneGloom Talk 23:39, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. Hmm, infobox. What fields would it require? Start and end date? Sometimes it's hard to know when a storyline actually started - with Kat's affair, was it when she started the affair, or when they formed the football team? Archie's murder - when he was murdered or when he raped Stacey or something else? As all these things led to the murder. So dates are really difficult to include. Introducer might be easier but not knowing the official start of the storyline or who decided to come up with the storyline might make it more tricky. Featured characters? That could be a very long list unless we kept it to the main few. Not sure what else we could include - any ideas? It seems to me that although an infobox for storylines would be a great thing, the fields to include would make it almost impossible! –anemoneprojectors– 11:59, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Instead of full dates, how about just including the year instead? Characters should be limited to just the main few. There should be fields for series name, storyline name and introducer. I guess it would be similar to the episode infobox. - JuneGloom Talk 15:56, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Years would be better, yes. Main characters would work. It might not have lots of info but it can be done. –anemoneprojectors– 13:16, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello!

Hello!

I was just about to head off for the night when I noticed someone had changed Steve McFadden's page to say he was going to be 007 again. Yep, you've guessed it! Our friend is back!! I've filed the SPI and requested Checkuser to see if there's any sleepers.

I've semi-protected EastEnders and Dot Branning for 1 week and Steve McFadden for 2 weeks because this is the second time he's targeted them in under a week. Feel free to unlock them if you wish but personally I would leave Steve McFadden's as it's a BLP - that's the reason that article got the longer block.

Do you reckon it would be worthwhile having a word with User:DeltaQuad who runs User talk:DeltaQuad/DQB? From what I know if we provide DQB with a list of previous names and a list of editing pattern type stuff the bot can actually be trained on this sockpuppet and their likely editing pattern, if someone made an edit to Steve McFadden in the future to something like "In December 2012 it was confirmed that McFadden will be the next 007", the bot would automatically pick up on that, file it at WP:UAA and I think it can even make a report to WP:SPI.

Thoughts?

Anyways, now I really am logging off for the night, providing there's nothing at Trueman's SPI that I need to look at! --5 albert square (talk) 02:10, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

If that will help, I'd say go for it. I can't believe someone is still doing the same edits after all these years. You'd think they'd have something better to do with their sad, pathetic little lives! ;-) –anemoneprojectors– 10:19, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Well I've asked, hopefully it can help out in some sort of way heehee! It's weird, it's like they have some sort of vendetta against EastEnders but it's only usually, EastEnders, Dot and Steve that they vandalise! It's weird as there's a whole host of other EastEnders articles they could vandalise such as The Queen Vic, Queen Vic Fire Week, Bryan Kirkwood, Alfie Moon etc etc etc but they only ever stick to those three!!--5 albert square (talk) 22:53, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I removed "Dennis Rickman Jr" from the 'paedia because there is no acceptable source. I take it from your reverts that you have found such a thing. Could you cite it/them, please? DBD 15:44, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Mitchells

Whenever you are ready for the Mitchell family, oh smart one =D

Clive Mitchell is missing, the son of Philip and Sandra who married Elaine and their two children (who you mentioned in the talk) Charlie and Harry Mitchell. Ted Mitchell, who is the son of Kenneth and Barbara married Vi. Billy and Honey are divorced (he said he's single) and Billy's sons name is Dan Pearce, who married an unknown woman who ran out on him ad had Lola and baby Lexi, who may or may not be Ben's daughter and Maisie Mitchell, the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara.

And if a marriage ended in widowdom (like Grant and Tiffany's), the deceased spouse should have an "X" through it (when I first saw the tree, I thought Grant was a bigamist.). Arjoccolenty (talk) 04:48, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

I've already started on the Mitchell family, but not got around to finishing yet. Clive Mitchell is not missing from the current image, and Elaine is not missing either. Their children are apparently "fanfic" so I won't be adding them. I will add Ted and Vi. Just because Billy said he's single doesn't mean he's divorced, but we think he divorced in 2011. I've already changed "Michael" to Dan and added Lexi. I won't be saying Ben is the father. And I won't be adding Maisie as this is the first I've ever heard of her. –anemoneprojectors– 13:33, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Ah. OK. I must have overlooked that. And we also have Madge Mitchell who appeared at Louise "renaming" party when it happened. Arjoccolenty (talk) 04:11, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
But who is Madge? How is she related? Probably by marriage, to an unknown man. Unless she was a spinster. –anemoneprojectors– 11:33, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
This is what I managed to get from some outside sources. I don't know if they are accurate or not.

"Phil's great aunt Madge was at the celebration of Louise's name change from Fowler to Mitchell. She bored Jamie with her stories of the First World War. Peggy mentioned to Sal that Madge was 100 years old."

She was uncredited and was only in two episodes: 3 October 2002 and 4 October 2002. Arjoccolenty (talk) 01:20, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Yes, but we still don't know if she was married to a Mitchell or born a Mitchell. If married, who to? We can't say, so I don't think I can add her. –anemoneprojectors– 13:09, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
The place where I got her information from was Walford Web, and they seem to say she is a blood Mitchell. Arjoccolenty (talk) 20:22, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
They could be assuming. Someone needs to watch the episodes to find out exactly what was said. Someone saying "this is your great aunt Madge" isn't enough to show she's blood related, it could simply mean she's married to their great uncle. –anemoneprojectors– 10:51, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
Also, I think I know where Clive's two sons came from: "Clive Mitchell is father of Charlie Mitchell and Harry Mitchell and husband of Elaine Mitchell and is the uncle of Phil, Grant, Sam, Ronnie , Roxy and brother of Eric and Archie Mitchell. He appeared in October 2002 along with his unnamed wife at Louise's "naming party", where her name was changed from Fowler to Mitchell. Clive said he hadn't seen Phil since he was 10 and had never met his niece Sam. Peggy asked Clive how his two sons Charlie and Harry were, and whether they were still worse than Phil and Grant." I got the from a site called "Eastenders Wikia", but it doesn't appear to have been updated in a while. Arjoccolenty (talk) 21:50, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Both sites are wiki sites, just like Wikipedia, and are unreliable sources. Just because the information is there, doesn't make it true. Anyone can edit them. Charlie and Harry and the conversation with Phil were removed from Wikipedia for being "fan fiction", so the same person may have added this false information to the other Wiki sites. –anemoneprojectors– 12:18, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
What is the process on the Mitchell family tree? Arjoccolenty (talk) 00:33, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Still unable to start the Mitchell tree because of other things? Arjoccolenty (talk) 18:45, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
I only have a couple of hours per day and yes I have other things I want to be doing on the internet at the moment. Sorry, but this isn't a priority for me. I have started it, as I said, but I have yet to finish it. –anemoneprojectors– 11:57, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

I am sorry but there is alot of factually incorrect things on the Mitchell family tree which you still have not amended which is creating frustration and confusion and I urge to add the changes right away. 1) Lola has a daughter, Lexi Pearce 2) Lola's father is not called Michael seen as that was the name of Julie Perkins' boss. It is Dan Pearce. 3) Billy has an uncle named, Ted, who is the cousin of Archie Mitchell and Clive Mitchell, and he married Vi. 4) Jay changed his name to 'Mitchell' so it would be worth counting him as an 'adoptive child' 5) When Phil married Kathy, she was 'Beale' not 'Hills'. 6) Madge Mitchell is not in the family tree. She must have been a born Mitchell otherwise something would have been said. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.152.225.252 (talk) 18:29, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

I haven't updated it yet, so please don't send me comments to say it's wrong unless it is wrong when I upload it. It should all be correct when I update it. Arjoccolenty has already sent me lots of amendments to do, most of which I already did, others I do not think should be done. So please read the rest of this section. Thanks. –anemoneprojectors– 11:57, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Instead of showing your unability to do basic Maths on the Peter Beale page, can you please sort out the Mitchell family tree. It has been about 2 weeks and you have done nothing.--109.152.225.252 (talk) 17:36, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

First you insult AP, then you order him to update something that takes up his free time? I'm surprised he doesn't just refuse after that. Also, it's inability. - JuneGloom Talk 15:49, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
I am sorry but he is responsible for the family tree and the fact that is has not been updated is shocking. Wikipedia must provide facts, the family tree is not providing facts. He has the free time to muddle up the Pete Beale page by not doing basic maths but he hasn't got the time to make Wikipedia factually corrrect. For goodness sakes' get a move on!--109.152.225.252 (talk) 16:54, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
He has something called a life. Something which I admit, sometimes I don't have. But he'll put it up when it goes up. He never said he would do something then not do it. It just won't be quick. I was surprised that he actually did the first thing I pointed out (Fixing a color on the tree), but he did and usually I'm just ignored! Anyway, have patience. Arjoccolenty (talk) 10:48, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
If the anonymous user had bothered to read the notice at the top of the page when editing this page, they would realise that I only have limited access to the internet at the moment, and stuff like this is not at the top of my priority list. I will get around to doing it, and I actually do expect to be back on a more permanent basis soon, though not exactly sure when. But I didn't write the original information on the Pete Beale page, just reverted some of the nonsense that was added to it. How can something reliably sourced to a book about EastEnders be factually incorrect? Also, I'm not responsible, I'm just the person who has the original files for the family tree, because I created them. But anyone can create their own. Just have some patience. This isn't a race. –anemoneprojectors– 13:13, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

I found some time to work on this, so going back to Arjoccolenty's first message again... you said Dan Pearce married an unknown woman who ran out on him, but I don't think it was ever mentioned they were married... I was putting an unknown relationship, so will keep it this way. I wasn't sure about death symbols, since we don't know about people who didn't appear! –anemoneprojectors– 14:27, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

About to upload - please let me know if you spot any errors - it's a complicated thing to start from scratch! Majority of it was moving the icons around the screen and lining them all up neatly! –anemoneprojectors– 14:32, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
Only error is that Lil Mo is named "Morgan" and not "Slater". We were using maiden names not their last names that were used that they had. The line that connects Billy to Jay is green and not blue. Other then that, its fine. You explained why you couldn't use Madge and I was only assuming that Dan and Lola's mother was married because she had his last name and not her mother's Arjoccolenty (talk) 20:08, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
It suppose it ought to be the name the woman had at the time of marriage, so that's why I put Morgan. I don't mind changing it but it's not really a major thing, so will probably do that when there's a new update to do - like we find out Lexi's father, perhaps. (Probably not Ben now he's left! Otherwise what's the point of him being the father?) GenoPro uses a green line for foster children, blue for adoption, which is why I left it green. Again, I can make this blue, but on a future update. As for Lola's mother, well, by law a child takes the father's last name anyway, though there are exceptions, so Lola being a Pearce doesn't mean Dan was married to her mother. I wonder if we'll find out who she is one day! Seems to me like Lola could have some good storylines in the future. –anemoneprojectors– 11:28, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
Forgive my naivety, I was assuming UK law would be the same as US law: no marriage the baby takes it's mother's name. Guess it must be different in the UK. Arjoccolenty (talk)
Oh no that's not the case here. I had assumed you were British, are you not? –anemoneprojectors– 13:53, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
No. I'm from Rhode Island. I'm an American. I started watching Eastenders when I was curious about the families and the family trees involved. Arjoccolenty (talk) 23:26, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
That's cool. How do you watch it? –anemoneprojectors– 12:05, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Opinion?

Hi AP! I'm currently making the 2012 others for Doctors here. However, by just looking at the huge amount of 'Others' makes me think something needs to be done. At the moment there just the others for January, and half of Septmeber. I think you would agree that it is a lot, which means the list is going to be rather big on size. Sorry to get you involved, but could what should I do, in your opinion? — M.Mario (T/C) 19:14, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Were there any more between those dates? I think you'll just have to have a big list! –anemoneprojectors– 12:13, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Mitchell family tree - again

You have still not made the changes that are necessary. Phil did not marry Kathy Hills, he married Kathy Beale. Kathy kept her married name even after her divorce from Pete. There is no need to put Danny Mitchell on the family tree, he should be removed. If you want to keep him, then you must include Freddie Mitchell. Jay is no longer Jay Brown, he is Jay Mitchell - his name change is worth mentioning. There is no mention of Great Aunt Madge. She needed to be mentioned. Can't you do anything right? --195.171.221.67 (talk) 20:12, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Look, I crossed that out - plain rude and disrespectful. He's done a damn lot more than you. — M.Mario (T/C) 21:08, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
Perhaps you would like to take some time out of your personal life to edit and upload the "correct" family tree instead? - JuneGloom Talk 23:43, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
If you're going to be rude, I won't make the changes. –anemoneprojectors– 13:03, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
Apologies for being rude but I would appreciate it if you could edit the family tree. I would be happy to edit it for you if I have the tools to save you trouble, but I can't. Please may you do it.--195.171.221.67 (talk) 16:55, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
Of course. I did think that Danny should be included as he was considered a Mitchell (by himself and viewers), originally believing that Archie was his father, but Freddie Mitchell was always known to not be a Mitchell and only named such because his mother's name was Mitchell at the time. But I will consider discussing this one further with other people. –anemoneprojectors– 17:37, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Don't want to add to your unpleasantness anymore, but I just had one small question: are you gonna use GenoPro to do the other families that don't have them (Butcher, Ferreira, Flaherty, Fowler, Jackson, Karim, Miller, Watts and Wicks) or are you gonna just ignore them and not bother updating them? If you are, would I have your permission to delete them from Category:EastEnders families? And what about the Moons? Are you gonna do something with them? Not trying to sound like a nag, but I am genuinely just wondering whats the deal with these "scragglers"? Arjoccolenty (talk) 19:36, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
Well, the links for the Butcher, Flaherty, Fowler, Jackson, Miller and Wicks families are all redirects, so either already have a tree (Beale or Branning), or don't need one (redirects to a character). The Ferreiras and Karims have trees that aren't from GenoPro but done in Wikicode. They are simple trees so this is probably a better option. As for the tree images, there are several duplicate trees that could probably be deleted (File:Mitchell.png, File:Moon ft.JPG and File:Moonfamilytree.png). The trees that don't have articles to go with them (Miller and Moon) should not be deleted because they are there for information. They can stay in the category without an article. I've been working on a Moon family article, but it's been put to one side for the time being. But if any of the trees need updating, just let me know what needs to be done. I'm not ignoring anything, I'm just not aware of updates that need doing. As a side note, there is another member who has done every family tree for EastEnders in wikicode in their userspace, I just can't remember who it is. –anemoneprojectors– 10:38, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Clare Perkins

Hi my name is Clare Perkins I will be playing the role of Ava Hartman in eastenders, firstly my name has no I in it, secondly I would appreciate you removing my daughters name from the article ( she has special needs/learning difficulties and we try to protect her as much as possible) and I see no reason for her name to be there. I have tried to edit the page but my changes did not appear.

My first acting role was as LIzzie Walker in STAMPING SHOUTING AND SINGING HOME in 1985 not in hallelujah anyhow in 1991

Thanks for creating the article , you can check facts quite easily about Actors by looking at spotlight, IMDB, casting call pro ar their agents. (Natasha Stevenson Management)

Also, see this - corrected the spelling of her name, as the source indicates it. Cheers, Theopolisme 20:42, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
I apologise about the spelling of your name. I took the spelling from the news report of your joining the series (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/celebrities/claire-perkins/ is one such site). I didn't actually create the article, it was created by MuKeSi (talk · contribs), and I didn't write any of the biography, so I never made mention of your child. Re

Obviously. Dance is no less notable than R&B, Indie, Singles. AARONTALK 18:09, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Just wondered. I know the singles chart proper is notable, but wasn't so sure about dance/indie/r&b/etc, because then we end up with loads of articles about songs that weren't actually singles. But then that's only if they pass WP:GNG as well, so not so much of a problem. It's quite nice for album tracks to have articles. And hopefully "Glassheart" will be a single in the future anyway. –anemoneprojectors– 08:45, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Of course they are. They are still UK charts. That's like saying the US Pop Songs, R&B/Hip hop and Alternative charts aren't notable. If Leona and her management are smart, they will release "Glassheart" at some point. AARONTALK 22:19, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Like I said, I just wondered. I wasn't sure if they counted as "national charts" for Wikipedia standards they do; they're just genre-specific national charts. –anemoneprojectors– 08:26, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Well, yeah, haven't you ever looked at songs by Rihanna, Gaga, Leona, Beyonce, Mariah, Madonna etc. and looked at the charts section? AARONTALK 17:03, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Not recently, no. But like I said, I just wondered and yes now I realise that it is a national chart. –anemoneprojectors– 17:06, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Besides, most of them (that I know of anyway) are singles that also charted in the UK singles chart. But never mind, I know it's a national chart. –anemoneprojectors– 17:09, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Joshua Pascoe

I noticed you just made a small edit to the Joshua Pascoe article. Any chance you could semi-protect the article/talk page per the recent edits? Thanks. memphisto 12:41, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

I don't think he's notable anyway, so I'm going to redirect it back to where it was, per the previous AFD. I wouldn't be able to protect both the article and the talk page at the same time, but I can hide the edits from the history. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. –anemoneprojectors– 12:56, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

I found Neighbours plane crash a while ago and have decided to revamp it, but the title is bothering me. I haven't found an official title for the storyline anywhere, so I'm trying to choose between it's current title, Plane Crash (Neighbours) or The Plane Crash (which is what the Inside Soap awards called it). What do you think? - JuneGloom Talk 20:36, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
I would say if Inside Soap have given it a name, use that. That's why I was going to call the EastEnders baby swap "Ronnie swaps her baby for Kat's" (two award noms under that name). But I never finished the article!!! –anemoneprojectors– 08:47, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Eurovision Newsletter - November 2012

This newsletter was delivered by EdwardsBot (talk) 10:35, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Why?

So Colorblind was deleted, then you go and create disambiguation articles for both Leona's version and Counting Crows' version? AARONTALK 13:14, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

No, they are redirects, not disambiguation pages. Redirects are harmless - most of Leona's songs with no article redirect to their album. –anemoneprojectors– 13:58, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Why couldn't the deleted article have been redirected then? It's pointless making a new redirect when the article has been deleted. AARONTALK 14:28, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Because there wouldn't have been consensus to do so. It's not pointless at all. –anemoneprojectors– 14:29, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
It's a recreation of a deleted article, redirect or not. It shouldn't disambiguate Leona anyway because it's not her song. AARONTALK 14:33, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Tag both redirects for speedy deletion then, but it's not "sufficiently identical and unimproved" so the speedy criteria for recreation shouldn't apply. If they get deleted, then I'll let you remove the red links ;-). However, if you think the redirects point to the wrong place, then change them. Maybe you'll want to put some information on This Desert Life about Leona's version, with a link to the EP, so that if the Leona redirect points there, people can still be pointed in the right direction. –anemoneprojectors– 15:01, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Final showdown details

Hi, you don't happen to have the final showdown details for Series 4 and 5 of The X Factor do you (I have left the place blank where they should go because it wasn't there before) --MSalmon (talk) 15:51, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure back then they just performed the same song again, which is why it was never included. –anemoneprojectors– 15:57, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes, see series 5 "An added twist for this series, confirmed on the first live show, was that acts in the bottom-two showdown sang a new song of their own choosing, rather than repeating the song they performed in the first part of the show (as was the case in previous series)." –anemoneprojectors– 15:59, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
So, how would we do it for series 4? (series 5 already has final showdown details) --MSalmon (talk) 16:03, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Either put in the songs, but I don't know the order they would have done it in, or go back to how it was before without putting the final showdown and just saying one person was eliminated, and explain that they performed the song again somewhere in the format part of the live shows for each series. Thanks for formatting everything though and putting in all this work that was overdue! –anemoneprojectors– 16:07, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I will remove the final showdown details and put it back to how it was before --MSalmon (talk) 16:08, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
I think that's fine. Keep up the good work! –anemoneprojectors– 16:10, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

lol, I don't need that long now, but reminders are good! Do I just need to put Ben as Lexi's dad? I've done it in GenoPro already but forgot to get around to uploading the image. I was going to ask actually, becuase I wasn't sure how to layout the tree because Ben and Lola are related, but distantly, and are far away from each other on the tree but connected by Lexi. I actually did two versions, one with two Bens and a dotted line between them, and one where I swapped the two branches so they weere closer together. I'll upload the first version :-) Is there anything else I need to change? –anemoneprojectors– 10:38, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Well since we are using family names, Lil' Mo needs to be Slater, not Morgan. Another thing I don't understand, when characters get divorced, some of them still use their married names (Kathy Beale, Kathy Mitchell, Kathy Sullivan) and sometimes they revert back to their maiden name (Janine Evans to Butcher, Janine Malloy back to Butcher). How is that determination made? Arjoccolenty (talk) 20:40, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Little Mo was a Morgan when she married Billy, in fact she was never called Slater on the show because she was married when she arrived. In the UK, when a woman divorces, her name does not automatically change back to her maiden name, so we will always stick with the married name unless we hear otherwise - so Kathy went from Hills to Beale to Mitchell to Sullivan, but Janine went from Butcher to Evans, then possibly back to Butcher, then to Malloy and back to Butcher again. Same reason Tanya is currently a Cross not a Jessop, but Zainab is still a Khan. We tend to go by the credits (thought not always!). –anemoneprojectors– 09:22, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Improving EastEnders article

It's been a long time. I've done other projects, like WP:DYK. Many non-free screenshots, like the divorce papers, are replaceable by text (i.e. fails WP:NFCC#1). I've already understood Christmas 1985 ratings and one scene of a couple getting divorced without the need of image. There's no need to have one image describing rape, as I've already understood the scene by reading the text. Also, the assault scene is already understood without the image.

Also, the episode count is unnecessary, especially in the infobox. It could be frequently or occasionally updated. Year is sufficient enough, and I know that EastEnders is daily. Objections?

I would like to take this to the EastEnders project, but I don't think they are happy to see me again. --George Ho (talk) 09:13, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

I'm inclined to agree about images - see the section above. As for the episode count, it generally is only occasionally updated, but if people want to update it regularly, why stop them? It's certainly not unnecessary though. I don't know what you mean by "Year is sufficient enough"? –anemoneprojectors– 09:23, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
I'll rephrase: episode counts may be unneeded. Readers may understand how many episodes by reading year duration and daily bases without counting episodes actually. By the way, may I remove ALL non-free screenshots now (except the three elderly women pic)? --George Ho (talk) 09:32, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
No, because there isn't one episode every day. There was originally two per week, then three and now four. I can't see why we should remove this fact from the infobox when other TV shows have it included. It can't be worked out by looking at the number of years. If I was you, I'd speak to User:Gungadin about the images, as she uploaded them (apart from the Denise/Owen scene, which was uploaded by someone who doesn't edit any more). –anemoneprojectors– 09:38, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
I did speak to Gungadin earlier, but, when I looked at her contributions, she last edited in October 2012. If I can't remove either episode count or images, what else can I do other than FFD or RfC? --George Ho (talk) 09:42, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
Oh yes you did, I was getting mixed up with another user I thought you contacted. Hmm, well two of the three pics are used in more than one page. I would say you can definitely remove the Denise and Owen picture, and then it should get tagged as orphaned even if you don't do it yourself, or you can do FFD on it. I know the Den and Angie picture is from an iconic scene, and it is the highest rated episode of EastEnders, and for that reason it's also included in the soap opera article as well. I think this one should stay but I might be wrong... maybe it needs further discussion with more people. Maybe FFD is the way forward for all the images. –anemoneprojectors– 09:48, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

No, you don't have to write the article before you add the person to a dab page; it's perfectly acceptable to add the person and then write the article from the resulting redlink. You obviously can't add the person and then leave it as a redlink for an extended period of time -- but you are allowed more than ten minutes. Bearcat (talk) 23:09, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

I was just reverting a red link as normal. If it had been blue I wouldn't have done. –anemoneprojectors– 23:14, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Favour

Can you archive this url please; here?. Thank you very much! I am going to Flickr now, to try and ask for more people to change licenses on EastEnders Flickr images, is there any in particular you would like, as a favour for you doing this? Give me a talkback when you reply! Cheers, — M.Mario (T/C) 16:39, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I'll do that for you shortly. Well I'd like pics of Phaldut Sharma and David Witts because those are the two actors whose characters I'm working on splitting! These are good [16] [17] They're from the same user, so he probably has other actors too, I didn't check. (you can crop the guy out!) –anemoneprojectors– 16:50, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll look into it! I'll ask that user, and others too! :) — M.Mario (T/C) 17:00, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Here's your link! http://www.webcitation.org/6Byc2GGV7 I'm guessing it's for Tansy/Poppy :-) –anemoneprojectors– 17:05, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! And how'd you guess? :D — M.Mario (T/C) 17:17, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Well, I didn't think it was going to be Patrick ;-) –anemoneprojectors– 17:20, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Maybe you can get this pic of Nitin Ganatra since the same photographer already released this photo and others under a free licence (their set of Soapy pics). –anemoneprojectors– 18:31, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Messages sent, I'll check tommorow to see if there are any replies :) — M.Mario (T/C) 19:05, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for this Im guessing theres no words such as "ditzy" in the source? :) — M.Mario (T/C) 16:19, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Actually YES! It's basically Bright answering questions sent in by readers, but the intro says "Following her fist stint in EastEnders, Rachel returned to our screens as ditzy Poppy in June." Also in the interview, Bright calls Poppy a "perfectionist" when it comes to her beautician work, (exact quote is "(question) Do you think you'd make a good beautician in real life? (answer) Well, I'm quite a perfectionist and I think Poppy is too. (etc)" She also talks about Poppy's friendship with Alice - "(Q) Poppy's hanging around a lot with Alice. Is she becoming Poppy's new best friend, now Jodie Gold isn't around? (A) Yeah, she is! They are polar opposites, but that works. I think Poppy almost mothers Alice by looking after her and giving her good advice. Or at least it's what Poppy thinks is good advice, anyway!". The rest is about Rachel instead of Poppy, apart from one bit where she says she thinks Poppy would fancy Jack Branning but would be too scared to talk to him and would feel intimidated by him. So there you go! –anemoneprojectors– 16:31, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! There should be some images coming your way soon, Im in talks with one user to get some images (Details to be confirmed soon) — M.Mario (T/C) 16:44, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Excellent stuff. Hmm, I wonder if I could do a Masood family article... maybe I should finish my existing drafts first! –anemoneprojectors– 16:50, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Yeah I tried the Branning family, that got a long way (cough). Masood family would be good, as there is loads of images. The family would be; Tamwar, Masood, Zainab, Syed, Yasmin, Christain?, Amira, AJ, Shabnam, Yusef, Afia, Qadim? It's quite a substantial amount, so that would be a good article! But yes, finish your other sandbox drafts! — M.Mario (T/C) 17:03, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
I just have so many! Baby swap, Moon family, Joey, AJ, Kat's affair... By the way have you ever seen this? User:Junipers Liege/EastEnders families was a collaboration between three users, but Junipers Liege hasn't edited since 2010 and it was forgotten, but I still want to get it finished and put in the mainspace! Maybe the current editors need to attack it! –anemoneprojectors– 17:09, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
The Kat's affair one is good, are you going to move it into mainspace soon? And the baby swap storyline is very imporatant, and could be linked to Poppy's article :D. There seems to be less and less users on WP:EE now, Frickative went, Trampikey (although I had no meetings with him), and a few users are on and off. :'( I had seen that user space before, but I not really good at that, I prefer character articles. I really want to get Whitney's Story out of my drafts, and then maybe I will tackle Jodie Gold. — M.Mario (T/C) 17:29, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Me and Frickative were working together on the baby swap page. We're also missing User:Gungadin recently. Well I'm sure I'll get around to them all eventually! Kat's affair... well I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet. I could do but I still have updates to do regarding more recent stuff. But it's still pretty good. I think I need to read it through before I make it live. –anemoneprojectors– 17:46, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Yeah sure, here are the first four images see them here. There not great, Charlie's is the best, and a few probably need cropping, but its better than none! From the same user, I am trying to get Marc Elliot, John Patridge, Tameka Empson and Kylie Babbington. :) 20:16, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Brilliant stuff, well done!!! –anemoneprojectors– 09:31, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

I've cropped Nitin Ganatra, because I want to use it in my AJ draft! We can add all of these to character pages... –anemoneprojectors– 09:49, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I thought that one needed cropping. Thanks for the barnstar; much appreciated! :D Also, you may be interested in looking at this User talk:Gungadin#File:Den Ange Divorce.jpgM.Mario (T/C) 17:23, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
I saw. To be honest I've often wondered if we needed those pictures. Either the rationales need strengthening, or we need to lose the pics! –anemoneprojectors– 17:26, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
I think the most prominent ones are the Angie and Den one, and the old lot. I just added the 4 others I got, Kylie, Marc, John and Tameka. All the images are not great, but there useable. I really cannot be bothered to add the images of them to their articles, most of them have got a better image already. (I'll add Kylie's) — M.Mario (T/C) 18:03, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
I've found another user on Flickr who has lots of soap star pics, some of which are already on Wikipedia so you may have already spoken to them! Such as our Tanya Franks and Himesh Patel pics. But there's loads, maybe you can get some more. Here's a list of some good ones!

Some of these are way better than any other pics we've got. I know it's a lot...... –anemoneprojectors– 18:28, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Actually I think it was George who got the ones from him before... –anemoneprojectors– 18:31, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I got the Sarah Manners, Donnaleigh Bailey and Charlie Clemmow images of him. The user makes the asker (me) improve the Wikipedia articles to get the images, so a bribary in some instances. I actually asked about the Kylie Babbington image yesterday, so if he says yes, then I could hopefully ask again, to see if he would be willing to give me them images too. Is that okay? His images are of high quality, so it probably makes the user less lienient to give out them. — M.Mario (T/C) 18:40, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Ah, he's quite clever then! Yeah I understand, he might not be as happy. At least you know how he works. If I ever meet celebs, I'm taking pics and automatically putting their pics on Wikipedia!!! Maybe see who has the good articles out of those! I think the Lorna Fitzgerald one would be good since Abi was made a GA - tell him that!!! –anemoneprojectors– 18:43, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Exactly! And I will try and get a few if I can. Look at them all!M.Mario (T/C) 18:48, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
And he doesn't tag them all with 'eastenders' either. I've got him as a contact on Flickr - and have seen most of his pics, but he has SO MANY!!! –anemoneprojectors– 18:50, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Sadly, it is unlikely we will get them all :( Why do not more people release images under fair use??? — M.Mario (T/C) 18:52, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Creative Commons, you mean. Well, I always do unless it's a personal image. That's why my pics are on quite a lot of Wiki pages! Mostly it's other people transferring them from Flickr to Wiki Commons. –anemoneprojectors– 09:25, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for linking Lorraine Newman throughout the articles, and renaming the article, I was a bit annonyed by how the name had been redirected! Also, sorry, but there has been no replies yet'! — M.Mario (T/C) 20:28, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for making the page! I thought I would have a lot of work linking but then I remembered AWB can do it all for me! :-) No problem, just give it time. –anemoneprojectors– 20:31, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
No problem, I was not sure what to put on her page, so did what she has done in the show. Is this a reliable source [18]? Yes, it is a blog, but per WP:BLOGS, "Self-published expert sources may be considered reliable when produced by an established expert on the topic of the article, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications". This lady has wrote a book. This lady writes about Emmerdale and Corrie too, and writes stuff about Heathcote for example, Jimmie Broome. She won "Annual Daz 'Soap Blogger of the Year' 2011 Awards" and a "regular half-hour Thursday 'Soapy Spot' on the local station Swindon 105.5 FM, plus a live half hour internet Soap magazine show every Wednesday night on Tellyspy". She seems experienced, so we can count her as an expert correct? [19] What do you think? — M.Mario (T/C) 22:35, 10 November 2012 (UTC) Also I sent off for loads more Ganatra images on Flickr, to try and boost the chances. — M.Mario (T/C) 22:36, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
She might be ok... I think she came 3rd though, didn't win that Daz thing. But if she's good to use I want to use her - I came across some of her reviews when researching AJ but didn't use them because I didn't think she was useable. I say go for it, then if anyone asks, we can try to defend it. –anemoneprojectors– 22:41, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Good! Let's go! She has tons of pieces on all characters, which is great! — M.Mario (T/C) 22:44, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
So I just got another June Brown image, which is great, annoying about the bottom, right? And the user with all the good photos replied! He said this; "I only release my photos on to Wikipedia if there is not photo already been used". Which means that

a) We only ask for actors/actresses who do not have images b) We hide all the people's images! :D c) Im trying to persuade him on Babbington, cause he used this ^ on that request! If only I had asked him first! :D — M.Mario (T/C) 19:20, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Ask him before you ask anyone else, I guess! Good pic of June, yes it's a shame about the dark bit, but still good! –anemoneprojectors– 20:02, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the source (Ive just used it). It's nice to get sources other than DS! I have some exciting news, I got Babbington! I am just about to upload the photo! It took some persuassion, but he gave me a "one time only" promise :D — M.Mario (T/C) 17:00, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Just one time only? Damn! Well, at least we know what he wants for next time. Well done on using that source - I didn't think there was anything to use! –anemoneprojectors– 17:19, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Actually, most of the above listed dont have images! By the way, glad your better! Also, can you delete this, File:Hunting Party (Body of Proof).jpg? I want to upload a PNG file instead, but dont want to go through all the deletion proccess. Could you delete it, or do I have to go the long way round? — M.Mario (T/C) 19:34, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
User talk:LorraineNewman Look at this! :O — M.Mario (T/C) 21:56, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Yeah most of them don't have images, so you might have some luck getting them. I came down with something on Wednesday night, but felt a bit better by Thursday afternoon so was able to start editing again. I'm still not 100% now but I think I just need some food! But back to normal today. As for the picture, umm why do you want it deleted? You might be able to have it speedied because you uploaded it, using {{Db-g7}}. I think I can do that for you actually, since you've asked. And something tells me that isn't the real Lorraine Newman... it just doesn't feel right to me. –anemoneprojectors– 09:34, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
Then again, it could be her, since she said we'd find out about the new Masood "very soon" and she was announced this morning. –anemoneprojectors– 10:22, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
It would be great to think it was her! It did sound like her, through her wording compared to her DS interview. I was a bit wary, as last time I created the article of Nick Wilton, then got accussed of the being the user who was Nick. :) I will try with the images, and thanks for deleting the other one! — M.Mario (T/C) 15:59, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

Paul Killick Bio Page

Hello -- My name is Jodi Patkin and I work with Paul Killick. I see you've been editing wiki pages for a long time and had made some changes to Paul's page back in 2007. We'd like to get the page to a point where we can have the flags for citing facts taken down. As you will note, I have been adding sources to improve the quality of the page, and I was hoping you could advise if you think we need more information.

thank you very much, Jodi — Preceding unsigned comment added by JodiPatkin (talkcontribs) 18:40, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

I've had a little look at the article - I don't remember editing it but it seems I only made minor edits before. Unfortunately I think the tone of the article is wrong, and I've tagged it as containing peacock terms (see WP:PEACOCK). If you know Paul Killick personally and are editing an article about him, this might be considered a conflict of interest (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest). Also, as Killick is British, you should use British spellings in the article (such as "honour" instead of "honor"). As for the references, I haven't really got time to check them out at the moment, sorry about that. –anemoneprojectors– 18:49, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

I appreciate your help here. Thank you for your feedback. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JodiPatkin (talkcontribs) 19:14, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Wondering...

Hi, I see you have posted on User:MaybeMaybeMaybe's talk page about that user's tendency to overcategorize things. I am having this issue with that user on the horse and donkey breed articles where s/he is adding nation of origin categories to every single article (if they keep it up, there could be about 400 articles affected), sometimes incorrectly, and sometimes with dubious reason to do so (only one article in the category, for example). Other than the errors, the biggest problems are WP:SMALLCAT and a few cases of non-notable intersection (Originating roughly within a particular modern nation is often a pure coincidence, particularly if the breed is hundreds of years old) I am asking the user to not do this and getting no response other than more of the same. Wondering if you have any advice or suggestions? Montanabw(talk) 22:20, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

No idea. The user sometimes responds to messages on their talk page. All I can suggest is CFD the categories... –anemoneprojectors– 09:40, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Eastenders - lexi pearce

I notcied that at the end of October you reversed my edit when I added Julie Perkins as a relative to lexi pearce, saying they have not met so it is not relevant. Fpr the same reason, shouldn't Ben Mitchell and peter Beale also be removed, as they have never come into contact with Lexi? I assume you are only applying this to 'Other relatives' but it still like a flawed reason. It also seems odd to leave Julie off of Lexi's relatives list, considering Lexi is on Julie's. KP-TheSpectre (talk) 15:08, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Of course, relatives always get added that shouldn't be and these additions get missed. I agree that Peter should be removed from Lexi's infobox, but not Ben as he's her father - we include all direct relatives because we consider them important (even if they didn't appear) and then other important relatives, so even if someone's aunt or grandmother appeared in the show, they may not be important to a certain character if they've never met or appeared together (or maybe even if they have met on screen). Lexi should probably be removed from Julie's list too. –anemoneprojectors– 15:11, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, could you explain how I can add or remove articles to my watchlist without having to do an edit to an article? AdabowtheSecond 20:33, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

There's a tab at the top of the page that says "Watch" if it's not on your watchlist or "Unwatch" if it is. I presume it's next to the "move" tab for non-admins. Perhaps it's different if you're using a different skin to the one I'm using... but there should be something up there. –anemoneprojectors– 20:35, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation Links?

Forgive me if this isn't properly directed to you (I'm confused about what was done by (a) bot(s) and what was done by you), but I don't understood why my addition of a "For other uses" disambiguation link was removed from Dieux du Stade. Last night, I tried to look up a Leni Reifenstahl film called Les Dieux du Stade that was mentioned in a newspaper article I had just read. A Google search for a Wikipedia page immediately sent me to an article for a French rugby erotic calendar series. A film widely regarded as a landmark of cinema history and one of the top 100 films ever made should not be invisible on Wikipedia (it is known under more than one title). With a little digging, I found a disambiguation page called "Les Dieux du Stade" that listed both the erotic calendar AND the Leni Reifenstahl film (AKA Olympia) When I confront problems like this on Wikipedia, I really appreciate the disambiguation links. Now, after the edits that were done in response to my addition of a disambiguation link, not only is the potentially helpful disambiguation link missing, the "Les Dieux du Stade" page is now completely gone. I don't see this as an improvement to Wikipedia at all. I admit I'm not the most knowledgeable Wiki user by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd like to learn and I'd like to offers others, who like me, look for Les Dieux du Stade. access for information other than the erotic calendar series.Udibi (talk) 20:35, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I'll just explain the reasons for what I did. I saw the disambiguation page Les Dieux du Stade yesterday, and decided it needed cleaning up. Then I checked the article Olympia (1938 film) that was linked on it, and it didn't say that the film was known as Les Dieux du Stade, so I redirected Les Dieux du Stade to Dieux du Stade. However, you hav since mentioned the alternative title for the film in the film's article, so I am happy to have the disambiguation page and links restored. I will now clean up the disambiguation page as I originally intended. –anemoneprojectors– 09:25, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
Makes sense. Thanks! Udibi (talk) 19:53, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

The X Factor (U.S. season 2) finalists personal article

Hi. It has come to my attention that more and more personal or individual articles of the finalists are surfacing on the Wikipedia, especially after the creation of Fifth Harmony personal article. All finalists except for Carly Rose Sonenclar are obviously not notable enough to hold an article in Wikipedia. The creators used, "being a finalist on a talent show and having music on iTunes" as the reason for the creation, which is not valid at all. Please help to solve this problem and the constant vandalism. Thank you.--Yonglaytan (talk) 08:15, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I know that, but in other instances, you used their maiden names even if they weren't called by their maiden names (i.e: Kathy was Beale when she married Phil) Arjoccolenty (talk)
I did put Kathy Beale... –anemoneprojectors– 18:01, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Your Flickr account

I have linked to your Flickr account on my userpage. You have a link to it on your Commons userpage, so I don't think it is meant to be a secret, but if you would like me to remove it, just let me know (or feel free to remove the link yourself). Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 21:06, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

I happen to have the above gentleman's user page in my watchlist. Looking at [20], I would like to leave the following comment:

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Ahhh, thanks :S talk:Delicious carbuncle, I'm confused by your userpage! –anemoneprojectors– 11:35, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
I've seen that many users have images on their userpages, often the Commons "image of the day", so I thought I would start featuring images that I found interesting. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 18:01, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Oh good. But they might get deleted... :S –anemoneprojectors– 18:04, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Celebrity Big Brother 11

Hi, I was just wondering if you can do me a favour and unprotect the page so I can fix the start date and add a source (they used American dates instead of English). Thanks. --MSalmon (talk) 18:08, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

I've fixed the date. I'd rather not unprotect it though. It expires in two days. If you want I can add the source as well, or you can request an edit on the talk page. –anemoneprojectors– 18:14, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Semi protect it then, and obviously I can't add the source so yes. --MSalmon (talk) 18:15, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
I've changed it to semi. One editor was already blocked, and I didn't realise the edit war was ages ago! –anemoneprojectors– 18:43, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks and I don't see why it was fully protected (I was also warned about 3RR on the article when I was removing the unsourced information) --MSalmon (talk) 22:53, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Settle are differences

Okay I think with this whole X Factor article argument we have been going back and forth between each other and we just need to settle them and not take it out in each other! What do you have against me really and what is it you £don't like about me? I feel like we got off and the wrong track and stepped on each ores foot. How about we settle an agreement between each other and work out are differences and become the best friends how about that. Oh yeah about. Fifth .harmony I said I could care less if I got deleted really? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium December 8, 2012 12:05 am (CT)

I don't have any problem with you at all. I just want you to stop creating articles about X Factor contestants who aren't notable outside of The X Factor. –anemoneprojectors– 09:55, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
Wait I thought it was User talk:2010srock that created the article? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium December 9, 2012 12:21 am (UTC)
Well, I forget who it was now, but I was thinking of this edit when you turned Emblem3 from a redirect to an article. –anemoneprojectors– 10:07, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

Hey I have a question please to me if you think the articles Chris Rene, Simone Battle, and Marcus Canty are notable outside of the X Factor? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Welcometothenewmillenium (talkcontribs) 13:23, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Chris Rene: yes, he has had charted albums and singles. Marcus Canty the same. Simone Battle, yes because she's had a main role in a film and is now a member of The Pussycat Dolls. –anemoneprojectors– 13:29, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Okay good because I remember creating their articles I didn't think you knew that or not I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being unfair with them and creating articles for people who are not notable outside of The X Factor like Fifth Harmony and Emblem3 also you would still be okay if I created an article for them when they have truly become notable and have won awards, charted songs, albums, hit singles, etc and made other stuff right? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 1:49, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, if they go on to have albums or singles that chart (in any country) or win awards, I'll say that's ok. –anemoneprojectors– 09:13, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

I'm serious like not even kidding you I really did not start that article someone else did! I just edited the List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2) and that was it. which is okay right? Just a quick chit chat

This is just fun talk or just something I've been meaning to ask to you. I have no clue what city, town, state, county, or country your from but I do take it that your very familiar with watching the show X Factor USA season 2 and maybe just know a lot about it. I've been wondering if you pick favorites on the show like which contestants you like better or worse or do you just keep getting update with the show and could really care less? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 20:30, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I'm from England and haven't watched any of The X Factor USA, apart from one performance I happened to catch from Fifth Harmony ("Impossible"). To be honest, I thought it was terrible, but then that might be because James Arthur, winner of The X Factor UK, has just released it as his winner's single and he's shamazeballs. –anemoneprojectors– 08:54, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
:O one performance by Fifth Harmony and you say that their terrible all because you thought James Arthur's version was better I don't who that guy is because I'm American and live in North America and not the UK. You should check out other 5H videos they are really good and might be just potentially win The X Factor USA just like James Arthur did their in the finals right now currently competing in the top 3 against Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens. to be quite honest I think it will com down between Carly Rose and 5H one of them I'm sure will win because they are both extremely talent and have lots of fans supporting them. They are also the only ones in the competition with millions of views on YouTube. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 10:51, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Well, it sounded quite bad anyway, even without my comparison. I might try to watch some (it is broadcast on TV over here a couple of days later) but I can't promise. Good luck to them ;-) You can look up James Arthur on YouTube too. –anemoneprojectors– 10:01, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Yes thank you Ill look forward to watching some of his videos because I truly do want to know more about him I just don't until you mentioned his name but sure ill go check him out. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 10:57, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Speaking of which I also noticed from the UK that American singers Nicole Scherzinger, Katy Perry, Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo, and Jennifer Hudson have had some works on the UK version either as a guest judge or mentor am I correct? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 10:57, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Scherzinger was a mentor/judge this year - she had the boys category and was the winning judge, and has been a guest judge before. Rowland was a judge and mentor last year. Perry has been a guest judge during auditions in the past (so has Anastacia), while Ne-Yo and Hudson have been assistant judges at Judges' Houses (and so has will.i.am). –anemoneprojectors– 10:07, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

I just noticed the time stamp on your signatures is totally different to mine. That could be confusing! Never mind ;-) –anemoneprojectors– 10:08, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Yes I agree I need to work on my time differences but its difficult I'm really trying hard to adjust here but you have to remember that I come from United States the time difference here is a whole lot different and going back to what you just said I just YouTubed James Arthur and up popped him @ Judges House and I felt so sad because she sent home a really talented guy over a guys name I can't remember how depressing ... Oh well also I'm not that much familiar with Anastacia either who is she? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 10:17, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Don't worry about the time thing. Wikipedia works in UTC which is less confusing for me as I'm in the UK but for others it must get annoying. Anastacia is only one of the best female American singers of the last 25 years! –anemoneprojectors– 10:23, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
That's nice but I watched The X Factor UK it mad me very sad to know that Times Red, Adam Burridge, and Christopher Maloney got sent home I thought they were really good I don't know why the judges sent them home :( User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 10:28 18 December 18, 2012 (UTC)
Maloney was brought back as a wildcard, but he was very controversial. He came third. But I didn't like him. The right person won anyway. –anemoneprojectors– 10:36, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Once again that's nice and yes James Arthur's Impossible was incredible but I'm talking about the fact that Nicole Singerzinger sent home a talented guy over a guy that cried soberly into her arms and was really dramatic about it! what happened there? 10:42 18 December 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Welcometothenewmillenium (talkcontribs)
I can't remember that far back, but it's a very emotional thing. –anemoneprojectors– 10:48, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
You're talking about Rylan! Yes, he was also controversial because arguably he was the worst singer in the live shows, but he was there for entertainment (it's not all about singing). –anemoneprojectors– 10:52, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Wait going back to what you just said It's not all about singing ... So you don't have to have the best singing the voice to compete in this competition anyone can go and audition? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 10:56, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Haven't you watched the auditions? In both the UK and USA, they're full of terrible singers! But chances are you won't get through. –anemoneprojectors– 10:58, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Yeah I've seen some of those auditions actually and to be honest I was sitting there live in the audience back in Kansas City, Missouri watching them myself and they only selected a few to go through to the live shows. Im just trying to figure out what you meant by saying the competition is not all about singing? Oh yeah speaking of which if it makes you feel a lot better Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole, and Simon Cowell have been apart of the American Version. I was there when Louis come as a guest and he was hilarious! User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 11:02 18 December 18, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah I know they were. It's not all about the singing. In the UK version over the past 9 years, there have been many people who got to the live shows who were bad singers. That's because they were good entertainment. We love those sorts of acts and they always stay longer than they probably should. An excellent example is Jedward who have had a very successful career since The X Factor, despite being rubbish at singing. –anemoneprojectors– 11:11, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Wow that's really interesting advice but I don't know it might sound sort of crazy and I understand majority do not make it. I feel like I'm filling up your page with useless information do you mind? Anyway I had the crazy ideal about auditioning for one of those shows but my confidence got the best of me I just didn't think Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato, or Britney Spears would like me or the audience and that I would get lots of boos but what do I know. I know it's crazy but I literally thought about doing something as crazy as that lol. Word of advice maybe? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 11:22, 18 December 2012, (UTC).

If you wanna do it, just do it. Don't care what people think. But be prepared for a rejection. Especially from Simon Cowell, he can be harsh! –anemoneprojectors– 11:29, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Honestly I felt that I missed my opportunity to do that my chance that I missed was auditioning in Kansas City, Missouri for season 2 because I lived so close I really wanted to but I'm 19 years old and I'm trying to figure out how am I going to get the next opportunity to do so. Thanks for the good advice By the way. I'm only 19 still have room to grow. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 11:38, 18 December 2012, (UTC).
Maybe season 3 will be somewhere near you too.... :-) –anemoneprojectors– 11:47, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

It's never too late to audition right? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 12:00, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Yeah. –anemoneprojectors– 12:15, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Aw thanks I'll work extremely hard to get there and who knows maybe you'll see me on YouTube auditioning for The X Factor USA :-) User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 12:35, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Maxwell Branning

I didn't just pull that out of my arse by the way. I was watching one of last week's episodes and Derek addressed him as Maxwell – I even watched again with subtitles to verify. Thanks DBD 23:25, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

In fact, I have added his full forename into the lede of his article, fully and properly sourced. So thanks for the reminder. DBD 23:40, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
No need to be so rude about it! –anemoneprojectors– 07:23, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
Aside from that, you seem to have assumed a lot of names. For example, you put Joey as Joseph as soon as he was heard of, but we only recently found out his name was actually Joseph, and you had the wrong name for Max for a long time. Suzy Branning hasn't been called Suzanne, Greg was never referred to as Gregory, and probably others too. I know you're trying to make it look like a realistic family tree, but you seem to have done a lot of original research. I know it's in your userspace so probably doesn't matter so much but still... it's been bugging me for years. Oh, Richard Mitchell's father is Jack Branning. Also you might want to update Lexi being fostered by Phil (since you have Jay fostered by Billy, so I can see you are putting in foster parents). –anemoneprojectors– 09:12, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
Also you should probably remove Debs Cross, unless you can prove she exists! –anemoneprojectors– 13:06, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
As you say, it is in my userspace – it is not and is not intended to be encyclopaedic – so it is rather my look out. (Btw, there's no OR – it's more like plucked out of thin air or synthesized...) The Debs thing was really very annoying indeed – I wonder sometimes whether the writers don't remember this stuff or just don't care. And cheers for the other heads up. DBD 19:07, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
That's ok. Sorry if I came across rude to you as well :-( –anemoneprojectors– 08:54, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
And also with you :) DBD 11:39, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Interestingly, Kim just called Max "Maximilian". But I'm sure Derek knows better and she's just guessing. –anemoneprojectors– 19:46, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Hahaha, that is hilarious! I now really hope it's because the writers caught this on wikipedia and decided to fuck with us. You're right, I think, in crediting Derek with more authority on his brother's full name – if it had been Kim who'd called him Maxwell last week, I'd've thought little of it. DBD 01:08, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
Highly doubtful they actually did that though :-) –anemoneprojectors– 08:27, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Infobox update

Hello. Thanks again for fixing my typo at Template:Infobox soap character. I currently have another edit request there for the rest of the changes we've been discussing, as well as some updated code that will hide headers when not in use, similar to box2. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind making the changes? I've linked discussions or provided rationale on each point, and also linked the template sandbox with the full updated code that could be copied over. If you'd rather wait for someone to update via the edit request, that's quite okay, just thought I would ask as I have some extra time today and tomorrow I could update some articles with the new parameters. Here is the link to the edit request. Either way, take care! Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 18:56, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

I thought I could do this if someone else doesn't. I'll see if it's been done and if not, I'll go and do it. –anemoneprojectors– 08:54, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks so much!! Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 16:48, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
If it's not a huge pain - would you change the "spin-off appearances" line from non-breaking space to nowrap? I didn't realize it would split at the hypen and looks a little strange. No rush/big deal. Thanks again for your help! Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 19:52, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Done. –anemoneprojectors– 19:59, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Wow you are the best! Thanks again, let me know if you ever need help on anything! Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 20:01, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I like how the infobox is becoming more similar to the 2nd infobox - it would be nice if we just had the one, but I'm not sure people using the two different ones will agree on everything. –anemoneprojectors– 20:05, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
I definitely agree and would support that if it was ever proposed. I thought of it but it was taking so much back-and-forth discussion to make updates to box1 I figured one step at a time ;). A couple UK editors that use box2 were involved in helping us hash out box1 edits, based on their similar opinions I think it could happen at some point. Editing X Factor Articles

Now Tate Stevens just won The X Factor USA season 2 he is not in fact notable outside of the show but he just recently won The X Factor and released his winning single out. would it still be okay to revert hi, from List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2) to his own stand alone article Tate Stevens? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 3:13, 20 December 2012 (UTC).

Btw I think there's an article you should check out Fifth Harmony (Group) just saying I agree with you that it should not be up there but it is! User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 09:01, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for redirecting Fifth Harmony (Group), I've also redirected Fifth Harmony. Stevens is good to have an article now since he won and will inevitably release a single off the back of it. Is he not releasing the song "Tomorrow" as his winner's single? –anemoneprojectors– 09:40, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Yes correct that his new single and he will release it but I don't know what day he will release it but that was his winning single! User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 13:32, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

In the UK, the single is available for download almost immediately, so I'd have thought it would be pretty quick over there too. –anemoneprojectors– 15:22, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
I'll be purchasing that single asap then. - JuneGloom Talk 16:05, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
The Tate Stevens one? Will you be able to? –anemoneprojectors– 16:08, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
I hope so! - JuneGloom Talk 16:24, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Do you think it will come out over here, or can you buy it from the U.S. iTunes store or something? –anemoneprojectors– 16:25, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
If the show is broadcast here, then surely the single will be available to download here? If not, I'll have to find another way of getting it. - JuneGloom Talk 16:29, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
You'd think it should be, but I guess it depends on the record deal. It's probably a U.S. only deal, at least for now. I don't think last year's winner's single came out here. Then again, her winner's song was apparently "Listen", and that's not even listed as a single in her discography. –anemoneprojectors– 16:32, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
I didn't know anything about last year's winner, but I like her new single. On an unrelated note, Merryterry11 has created another sock - [21]. - JuneGloom Talk 21:57, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Blocked and also blocked Merryterry11 now because he was warned. –anemoneprojectors– 22:36, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Um I actually do have to make another confirmation despite the fact that Amaro (Did not release a single out last year) she did however release another single it was not her (winning) single it was her Pepsi commercial single Respect. This song charted across the country in many different places. That was the winning prize for season 1 and it aired during the Super Bowl XLVI on NBC, however that prize has changed now. Stevens if I'm correct I believe will be releasing his winning single. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 01:45, 22 December 2012 (UTC).

OK that's good to know. –anemoneprojectors– 10:23, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Another thing I wanted to point out was is why is editor User:2010srock blocked from their IP address for an infinite number of times? I do not have any clue what that user did to deserve that punishment and I really don't want to dig up any dirt about it. All I noticed was as I was storming across AfD pages and clicked that user accounts by accident I noticed he was blocked can you tell me why or do you have any clue on why that is? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 02:29, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Apparently they were blocked for something to do with image uploads. They've requested an unblock but it was denied. –anemoneprojectors– 10:23, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Please keep a close eye on article Syco Music I believe users are adding random contestants on show that have not yet been singed to it other than Tate Stevens and Fifth Harmony. As far as I know no other contestants have been signed to it yet not even Carly Rose Sonenclar. If they do add them make sure that it is reliable if not then remove their from the list. Thanks lots! User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 02:46, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

It's already on my watchlist but it all happened when I was offline. Are Fifth Harmony definitely signed? I want every name on that list to have a reference. –anemoneprojectors– 10:23, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
It's true and it actually is officially confirmed however I'm not sure if they are still ready yet have their own page but yes if you want me to I will most definitely make sure that everyone on the list has a resource but only Tate Stevens and Fifth Harmony are signed to it from season 2 no one else. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 12:11, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
I've seen now that it's confirmed. But I don't think they're ready for a page - just being signed doesn't really add anything. Don't worry about referencing the Syco Music page - I know most of them definitely are anyway but would just like to see references added eventually - but especially for new additions to the list. –anemoneprojectors– 12:40, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Yes most definetly! I just wanted to check and make sure people are not just putting random names I caught the recent incident last night when someone I dunno who put CeCe Frey and Emblem3 and Jennel Garcia up on there when they in fact have not yet signed to Cowell's label. Garcia didn't even make it to the top 10 so she's most definetly out of that range. I'm not worried about the sources I'm worried about others not taking it seriously! Maybe you weren't online but last night I saw the whole thing just awful it was as if every contestant from the show was up on the list but I quickly made the change back and now it think it remains the same now after I changed it back. If this happens again I want those people blocked from their IP address admediately because all they were doing was disrupting and vandalizing the article and not contributing to it or helping it out in any way shape or form. This clearly violets the rules on Wikipedia:Disruptive editing. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 14:18, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Character info box

I am going to try and make a compromise with you. Let's reform the character info box so that it will include all aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, siblings and parents who have been mentioned or have appeared in the soap, however extended relatives such as great aunts, second cousins who are not involved in their storylines or have not appeared in the soap will not be included. I think that is a better way forward. --86.135.54.101 (talk) 23:53, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Assuming you're talking about every character, that's a very big change and not one you can make with me. If you want this to change, go to WT:EE and start a discussion there. –anemoneprojectors– 10:16, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Lovebird

Hi Anemone, This phantom release date thing has begun happening a lot in the UK. Labels promote a song with a video and date etc but not an actual release. This happened with "Beneath Your Beautiful" by Labrinth and Sandé which isn't actually available to buy as a separate single but only as an album track. Yet its promoted and treated like a single. Same thing what "What's My Name"? by Rihanna. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 14:11, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

So there's a radio edit of "Lovebird" but it's not available to download? Seems a bit weird that they do this now. Another mystifying trend! –anemoneprojectors– 14:15, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
Pretty much. In the case of Labrinth it worked well as it meant his song his number one. I've no idea if this is a calculated move by labels or laziness to actually release another edit etc. As for "Lovebird" it has virtually zero airplay on Radio 1 and Radio 2 and ive heard it once on Capital in 2 weeks. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 19:14, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
Let's hope the next single is a proper one then :-) –anemoneprojectors– 10:18, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
On Heart FM on saturday night they interviewed her and she said "there's a lot of back scene stuff going on, I'm not sure if there will be any more singles" =/ — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 14:23, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
Nooooo! She has to at least release "Fireflies"! –anemoneprojectors– 15:26, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
Based on the album being out, I would have released the songs in this order, 1) Glassheart, 2) Fireflies 3) Un Love Me 4) Favourite Scar 5) Trouble. But alas I don't work for her label. Lovebird really is an aweful song. I cant believe its written by Dr Luke. He'd never give that to Katy Perry or Britney Speaks. Just-Saying.com — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 15:35, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
Bit of clarification for you with the whole I'm releasing a single but its not available to purchase separately but its still a single thing. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 12:40, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Ah yes the "impact day" thing does make sense. Still hard to believe it sold under 600 copies! Perhaps only Leona fans knew about it, and they already have the album! –anemoneprojectors– 15:22, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Considering the album sold less than 10,000 copies, 600 copies of a single is like 6% of the album. So its not actually that bad numbers-wise but obviously for The X Factor's biggest export its a travesty. I'm so suprised she wasn't performing at the finale. She could have sung "Stop the Clocks" or "I to You". — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 22:03, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Yeah you're right. I agree, she should have been at the final! –anemoneprojectors– 22:37, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Thinking about it, all we know is it sold less than 600, so could have actually sold anything from 600 down to zero. –anemoneprojectors– 11:42, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Exactly. I mean I know people on the forums wanted it to be released over "Fireflies" but then when they got their way they still didnt go out and support the single. People are blaming the album and single on a lack of promo but tbh she did perform "Lovebird" on Daybreak, The National Lottery, Metro Radio and Loose Women plus La Voz (the voice of spain). Its not like it wasn't promoted, granted it got no radio support. It must be the song... its aweful. "Start without You" by Alexandra wasn't played by radio but that still got number one. I think losing out to Rihanna with "We Found Love" was the start of what would be terrible mis-management with Glassheart. Nothing on the album could match the potential of a song like WFL. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 14:11, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Is this a good source

According to the BBC One website, Ricky and Mandy's daughters surname is Salter, but it comes from a family tree. Is that a good enough source to say her name is Kira Salter? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006m86d/features/family-tree#character/salter_kira Arjoccolenty (talk) 09:35, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

It's the only one we have - and we did use it originally to source Ava's surname before we found it out. –anemoneprojectors– 15:44, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Recent changes

In light of the most recent EastEnders episode, changes have to be made because the template has got mistakes. Firstly, Kirsty Branning is a new character (who is permanent) and needs to be on the template. Derek Branning needs to be removed and placed in 'past characters'. In addition, to that I would like to request that I have powers to change the family trees seeing as you seem not to be doing that role which means we have three inaccurate family trees and I have been reminding you about for a while. If you cannot do, I would be prepared to. Enjoy Boxing Day!--86.169.235.148 (talk) 09:40, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

I've been offline over Christmas until now. I've already updated the Branning tree in my files, but you are free to change the template, are you not? –anemoneprojectors– 15:43, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Sorry I forgot the template was protected. How do we know Kirsty is permanent? –anemoneprojectors– 16:12, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Now that I've had time to catch up a little, I have seen interviews with the actress and can see she is a regular. –anemoneprojectors– 16:41, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Can I please have the power to change the templates? As for your latest, 'mumblings', I'd urge you to read your own comments on WT:EE which permits characters to add relations who are iconic characters.--86.169.235.148 (talk) 17:57, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Protection of the page will run out when it runs out. There have been too many edit wars on there recently. As for your extremely rude comments, I would urge you to stop or you will be blocked. I did not permit anything. I said iconic characters could be added to their relatives, not their relatives could be added to them. But I did not permit it, as there is no consensus to do so. –anemoneprojectors– 17:59, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I am sorry but you just contradicted yourself, but I am now glad to know where you stand. Thank you very much. Perhaps if you paid more consideration to the proposals, rather than rubbishing them from the start and started to look at ways we could build a proper consensus around them when two users have supported them then perhaps we'd be going somewhere.--86.169.235.148 (talk) 18:09, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I considered them years ago - that's why we removed all these relatives in the first place. There is no consensus to change. So please stop editing the articles against consensus. –anemoneprojectors– 18:11, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
You did not consider them years ago, you have not considered them at all. You are being extremely hypocritical, I am making changes which you have tacitly endorsed and you are reverting them:

"Therefore, we only need to include those relatives who are important to a particular character's storyline (on screen), and perhaps any iconic characters that another character is related to. Relatives who were simply mentioned or who we can assume they knew off-screen but never appeared with on-screen, or even perhaps who appeared in the same scenes though no actual storyline was shared, are unlikely to be essential to that understanding." Your words not mine. Look at the Den Watts page.--86.169.235.148 (talk) 18:32, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Excuse me but who are you to tell me what I did and did not consider? I've already replied to your quoting me elsewhere. I looked at Den Watts and saw that Dennis Jr was in his infobox, so I've correctly removed him per consensus. Thanks for pointing that out. –anemoneprojectors– 18:39, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

I'm going to make a request before you get blocked. See your edit summary here? Before making reverts or even first edits like that, go on the talk page, and write something like that edit summary on the talk page so we can discuss indivuduals. The rule is bold, revert, DISCUSS. Thanks. –anemoneprojectors– 18:45, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Ha ha, apparently AP I blindly agree with everything you say! As I recall weve had quite a few differences of opinion in the past! Bleaney (talk) 20:19, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
That's true, we've clashed LOADS! ;-) –anemoneprojectors– 20:21, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Article Problems

Can you explain to me why the article Simone Battle is being market for speedy deletion. I honestly don't think it should be deleted but if someone else thinks other wise and truly feels in their heart that she is not fully notable or has enough resources to back her up then they can go ahead and delete the page. However I do some what feel that is worth having an article for the fact that she has appeared on television been in movies and various television shows. Also she was just recently signed to The Pussycat Dolls line-up. If she is not notable and none the stuff she has done is enough to keep her own stand-alone article then I don't know what is? Am I missing something? If so please tell me because the truth is at I do not want to be unfair about anything. Welcometothenewmillenium 13:41, 27 December 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Welcometothenewmillenium (talkcontribs)

I was away so couldn't reply. It was nominated for normal deletion, not speedy. But then it was withdrawn and just the discography page is nominated for deletion. The place to make the comments you made to me would have been Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simone Battle discography but there's no need now. –anemoneprojectors– 19:19, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
