"Country" in the contest "year"[edit]

These pages will describe a country's participation in a specific year. They will include the selection process to choose the song, promotion of the song, the song's performance at Eurovision, its reception afterwards and any other relevant information about the country's participation that year (controversies, etc). (See List of countries in the Eurovision Song Contest.)

The above articles are a "Good Article" and is one of the many Quality articles that the project has. The section headings and content should mirror the formatting and content of these articles (as closely as possible, use your judgement).

Please put songs in "quotes" each time they are named (see Formatting and guidanace.)

Sourcing[edit]

Many of the article's needing to be created are for contests that have happened decades ago and it is not always easy to retrieve information. This site has information on most of the past national finals. Please do not list it as a source however, use the actual event instead to address reliability and sourcing guideline issues. It is suggested that you search the archives of news websites such as [1] and BBC News and also consider doing a Google search for additional reliable sources. Eurovision's Eurovision.tv also has some information in its "History" section. Other sources may be used too, these are just given as helpful hints. If you have any questions on reliable sources, ask on the project's talk page.
