Opening comments[edit]

I think that there are two copies of this page: The Take Over, The Breaks Over and this one...

That image doesn't look official to me...Kokiri kid 12:23, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I tell you, the image was real. Just really poor quality. I'll try and get a better picture of it later on. Daniellocktm

Music video section[edit]

Someone really, honestly needs to write a proper, non-POV section on the music video. 210.50.189.49 09:12, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

has there been a discussion on the use of the word whilst vs. while? no one says whilst in chicago! ;)

Fair use rationale for Image:Takeoverbreakover.jpg[edit]

Image:Takeoverbreakover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Two versions?[edit]

Are there two versions of this song? There's the one on the cd, but I have heard another one that sounds more like it was studio recorded. J-stan Talk 20:06, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I was thinking of the aol live version. J-stan Talk 20:40, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

was this taken from Jay-Z's opening line from Takeover?[edit]

subject speaks for itself, is it?

yes, it was.

Wasn't this the song that had the guitar tab written to the Stones' (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction?

Requested move[edit]

"The Take Over, The Break's Over" That's the correct title,[1][2][3] so why does that page redirect here? Lara♥Love 04:45, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
1 - Fueled by Ramen store
2 - Fall Out Boy's official website
3 - MTV.com

  • Support. Actually, one of the links above doesn't support this title exactly, rather it's The Takeover.... But the others do. On balance, I'll go with the nom. Could almost have been an uncontroversial move IMO. Andrewa 10:49, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - The single cover states that the song is called "The Take Over, The Breaks Over", and the album inlay for "Infinity on High" agrees. Therefore, the only renaming of this article that I would support is the capitalisation of the second "the". - PeeJay 11:41, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been renamed as the result of a move request. by Woohookitty Vegaswikian 05:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page move[edit]

The page needs to be moved to "The Take Over, the Breaks Over" - see WP:ALBUM. And if it's at this title with "the" capitalized, then why does the opening sentence not capitalize it. Anyway, the page needs to be moved. It's uncontroversial. It's obviously against the manual of style. Can someone delete the redirect page and move this page there? I edited the description for the video[edit]

I thought the Description for the Music Video needed a longer description like it needed more depth. Hope I didnt screw it up (FallOutBoyFan123 (talk) 02:11, 9 July 2009 (UTC))FallOutBoyFan123[reply]
