Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being about a musical recording that does not indicate its own importance and where the artist's article does not exist, because... (the night begins to shine charted on a legitimate chart compiled by nelsen soundscan and billboard? confused, could we speak about this? i believe this is a notable song, it has television airplay, it was covered by numerous popular artists as the page states, and it is charting on billboard ) --Terebinthinas (talk) 16:59, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the speedy deletion tag. While charting (especially at a peak of 23 - the 7 might) doesn't necessarily pass the bar, a quick scan of actual sources implies that it has been covered by other news sources. I'm sorry for being so quick to press that speedy button, but not that long ago there was a huge fuss about this article, see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Archive291#Whlrradio. The problem still lies at the fact that B.E.R. doesn't have an article, which implies (not always) that their recording doesn't pass WP:Notability standards. menaechmi (talk) 17:12, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
