  • Retrieved should be capitalised for all refs
  • Some of these are missing publisher/work; make sure they all cite one
  • Below if I have told you to change publisher/work, I mean only one should be cited on a ref.

  • Cite SM Entertainment on ref 5 as the publisher with the wikilink
  • Remove .com from ref 6's work

  • Do the same for ref 25, but with no wikilink

  • Cite Official New Zealand Music Chart as the publisher for ref 30 with the wikilink, plus lead directly to the issue date of the chart position
  • Remove Official Charts Company from ref 31's title and cite it as the publisher with the wikilink, plus add the date of the chart to the title
  • Cite the author's last name first on ref 32 for consistency, while wikilink IZM to itself and remove the publisher, as well as fixing accessdate

Final comments and verdict[edit]

On hold for now as it's a well-researched, but needs quite a few fixes before reaching GA-status. One suggestion I have would be to add an image, since this article has a lot of information so a relevant one should be easy to find for inclusion. --Kyle Peake (talk) 09:16, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fail I hate to do this but it's been over a week and the nominator has only added a few of the proposed edits, plus they are barely active at WP and the [unreliable source?] template has been planked on two citations of this page. --Kyle Peake (talk) 04:32, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a catchy song. I will be reviewing this.. (talk) 06:37, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do! Thank you so much! LipaCityPH (talk) 07:40, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@LipaCityPH: I see that there are unresolved comments from Talk:Psycho (Red Velvet song)/GA1. Please resolve all of them before I can continue, (talk) 04:55, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@: The comments given by the previous reviewer seems to be mostly solved now. I only double-checked and also did some revisions on the article that were not done by the previous nominator. I hope you could now continue the review of this article for making it a good article. Thank you so much. Also there were a lot of additional information and revisions added or either removed since the last review, therefore a lot of the comments couldn't be applied on the current state of the article. But I tried to do some of the comments from the previous reviewer. Thank you once again! LipaCityPH (talk) 05:52, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@: and @LipaCityPH:, good job on both of you for picking up on the comments from my review of this article earlier this year during the second review process, as it is great to make sure all previously instated issues have been solved so the following review can be smoother and I was going to mention about the review on here until HĐ did! --K. Peake 08:00, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake, no worries, you can also comment on this GAN just in case I missed out anything! (talk) 13:42, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake, your previous review was a major help for possible listing of the article in the good articles section. Thank you so much! LipaCityPH (talk) 13:42, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • What does year-end release mean. Probably you meant "being released by the end of 2019"?

Composition[edit]

 Done

  • American record producer Andrew Scott, EJAE, and frequent collaborator Cazzi Opeia It's weird to mention the nationality of only one producer... would you like to add the nationality of the other two?
  • A short explanation on duality sonic concept would be helpful
  • With the demo version recorded in English by Opeia that eventually leaked on the Internet weeks before the song's release, the lyrics were then rewritten in Korean by songwriter Kenzie, with additional arrangement from producer Druski, and Yoo Young-jin, the latter of which co-produced the group's previous single "Bad Boy" in 2018. This part does not have any source at all
  • I would specify that the critic Tamar Herman writes for Billboard
  • As I said earlier, explain what the "Velvet" concept is for those who do not know anything about the group
  • a tempo of 140 beat-per-minute → "140 beats per minute"
  • The group's vocal range spanned about 2 octaves → "The group's vocals span two octaves"
  • A slightly different version of the song was used for the music video, with the chorus having an additional synth line and the pre-chorus including a string melody, while the digital and streaming version omitted these elements →This also does not have a source

Commercial performance[edit]

 Done

  • Remove the information regarding the iTunes Stores and digital charts of Korea, per WP:RECORDCHART. Only keep the information regarding the Gaon Digital Chart
  • Link Changmo
  • Write out the numbers 1–9 in word ("one", "two" etc.) per MOS:NUM
  • Also, 1st-9th should be written out ("first", "second" etc.)
  • With this, the song became the group's first top 2 entry in 2019, marking their highest charting release since "Power Up", while becoming their 5th and 12th number 2 and top 10 entry overall, respectively Remove this because this is original research
  • and eventually landed as the fifth biggest song and the biggest idol song on the 2020 mid-year issue of Gaon Digital Chart. Remove this because this is also original research
  • You should explain that the "Digital Chart" is a ranking of songs based on sales+streams; and the "Download Chart" is based on sales only
  • In addition, it topped the Gaon Download Chart for two weeks, giving the group their sixth chart-topper on the chart, while peaking at number two for two weeks on the component Streaming Chart This does not have any source
  • The song then rose to number two for three weeks, earning the group their seventh top-five hit. This does not have any source
  • "Psycho" also attained success outside its home country Remove this since it is not necessary, and also original research
  • number ninety-nine → number 99

Live[edit]

 Done

  • Promotion activities for the song were rather limited comparing to Red Velvet's previous promotion cycles due to Finale being a year-end release This does not have any source
  • YouTube is not a reliable source

Critical[edit]

 Done

  • Tamar Herman of Billboard magazine viewed the track as "smooth and sultry in its delivery" Where is the source for this?
  • I am afraid that The Kraze and Seoulbeats are not reliable sources
  • I would specify that Yim Hyun-su is from The Korea Herald
  • Decapitalize Paper
  • I would remove Celebmix as it is not a reliable source
  • As stated previously, numbers 1–9 should be written out, numbers from 10 onwards can be kept in number form, as long as they are consistent
  • Remove Apple Music, Bugs, and Medium, because they are not critical sources

Accolades[edit]

 Done

  • Remove due to its massive success on the digital chart because this is POV

Music video[edit]

 Done

  • video director O Is his name "O"? I find it funny...
@: I find it unusual and funny as well.. However, that is the name of the director based from the liner notes in the album. Also refer to Red Velvet videography for the reference of who directed the music video. It will state that it's from the photobook where the liner note is in. Thank you! LipaCityPH (talk) 10:15, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Link Umpah Umpah
  • Link gothic (or it can be gothic subculture if you think it is more appropriate)

  • Please shorten the synopsis two only 5-6 sentences
@: I have removed the synopsis and mainly focused on reception. However, if you insist on putting synopsis, I will revert and put the synopsis again with 5-6 sentences like what you said. Sorry once again for the inconvenience and thank you for your time. :) LipaCityPH (talk) 13:01, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Currently in December 2020, the music video has 210 million views Remove this part

@LipaCityPH: Thank you for your progress on the article. I have read the article again, and see some very good improvements. However, there are remaining spots where no source is provided, which I have tagged with {{citation needed}} so that you could indicate where to add source (make sure it is a reliable source!). I also have trimmed the lead a little bit to make the grammar and wording smoother, (talk) 05:30, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also have some more comments that need to be resolved as follows:
 Done
  • Within the first twenty-four hours after its release, "Psycho" topped all five South Korean major digital charts.[8][9] Shortly later, the song achieved both "real-time all-kill" and "certified all-kill" respectively, making Red Velvet the first girl group and second overall for idol group to achieve such status in 2019 Remove this part, because WP:BADCHARTS specify that "charts specific to a retailer should not be used". And in this case, websites such as Melon are retailers.
  • I see that you have removed the synopsis section. I think it is okay to include a short paragraph of 4-5 sentences (especially highlighting the Victorian Gothic concept)
  • Refs 1, 3, 16, 46, 50 are taken from YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, which are unreliable sources. Can you find alternate sources to these? If not, I would recommend removing them altogether.

Happy to pass this GAN. Well done with your first GAN, and I hope you'd continue to work on future articles! (talk) 08:25, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@LipaCityPH: and @:, very good to see this article has reached GA-status; however, I had to add the article history template because due to it having previously failed as a GAN, the bot was not registering this article as a GA and the music good article nominations page classified it as having failed. --K. First performance of Psycho on Vlive comeback special[edit]

That SEDaily ref used to support the first sentence in this section does not actually state that psycho was performed or would be performed on Vlive. In fact, no article I could find on Naver states this (and I searched from the very first one dd that mentioned the term 'reve festival finale' all the way down to Dec 24, 2020). What the articles do say is that RV would hold a comeback special on this day for the release, that discuss things related to the album, and even I saw some mention a "live" stage but no song title was specified. Any references to Psycho were about its being the lead single/part of the tracklist, that it would be performed at Gayo, or that it topped realtime music charts. The only thing proving RV performed it during the special is Vlive's actual upload of the performance but I don't think that can be used as an acceptable reference. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 06:18, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done Comments have been addressed. No articles were published since the release of the live performance was sudden and only the videos posted on V Live were proof. Instead of the link you've put up as a reference, I used another V Live video, not merely focused on the song but the event and video episode it was posted. Thank you for your concern.
