Meaning[edit]

I'm in an awkward position w/r/t WP:OR on this one. In 2002, I was the one who had the conversation with the band representative regarding the meaning of the phrase. But I reported it on another website at the time (back when Wikipedia was just a thing that Larry Sanger had asked me to write an entry for about DMB), so I don't think that this violates WP:OR. What I'm trying to get across here is not that the phrase actually means "I have a python in my pants," but that it has been employed by the band with the belief that it means just that. It would also be helpful to be able to actually verify the meaning, but the state of automated translation between English and Sanskrit is just so crude, and once one considers the different alphabets and the set of synonyms (here are 12 different words for "snake") and potential for small translation errors, the obstacle becomes overwhelming for anybody other than somebody who speaks both languages.

Complicating things, I was told merely that it's "Indian," not that it's Sanskrit. It was only the research that I did at the time that allowed me to determine that Sanskrit was the most likely language, primarily because I was already familiar with the word "nāga" meaning "snake." --WaldoJ (talk) 22:11, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
